My individual checking account was frozen and locked a few weeks ago. I had to call a few times before I was able to get it unlocked. Then about 2 weeks after that my wifes joint account with me was locked and she had to open a entirely new account so now I do not have the option to transfer funds between BOW accounts.

Because San Jose Main Branch is moving and has no safety deposit boxes available at their new location, I was sent a letter stating I was required to take the contents of my 2 existing safety deposit boxes and move them to another Bank of the West location. A little over two years ago I opened a Bank of the West 12 month CD at a promotional rate. At the end of the year the Bank of the West was offering another promotional rate which I thought I would receive - the bank doesn't reveal the new rate until after it rolls over.
I waited a few days beyond the grace period before I phoned and asked about the new rate. My rate was one tenth of my previous rate and the promotional they were offering. I said I would close the account.

Bank staff is rude and unwilling to help when they put a check on hold and refused to let me know beforehand. Filed a dispute at Bank of the West against unauthorized charges on my debit card which we're denied. Upon calling to inquire as to the basis of denial due to the fact that my entire wallet was stolen and the claim was filed with all necessary information at the branch.
