My 5 year CD matured. The desire was to have the monies transferred into a BMO short term savings account....not possible.
Next best was to have a cashiers check cut and mailed.
My address needed to be updated .... no problem.
The followup phone call to verify the address had been updated is when the frustration begins.
Offshore contact took three phone calls, one disconnection and four transfers with long hold times. I was told to go into a local branch with identification. I explained there is no local bank in California.
Then, I could no longer log into my account and was transferred to Resolution Center with more hold time. They would not access my account without proof of identity, and needed a notarized document which cost $15 which was sent to the Resolution Center.…
