We moved from Pensacola Fl back to Rochester, NY, that's an 1800 mile trip. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats that were with us, all in a minivan. and budget made it 10 times worse. Upon pick up we showed our payments we were using 2 different cards and cash.

my husband went to the bank and put in account so it's on our card. Came back to pay and one card wasn't accepted and due to time, they couldn't help us that day. So already set us back on time.

Came first thing next morning, paid, got truck and car dolly for our kia(which they don't help you get on or inspect to make sure it's correct/safe). realized front passenger headlight isn't working (it was near impossible to drive at night -which set us back more).

I had been given 10 different phone numbers and several addresses of the Greensboro area where I was returning a truck... I own a moving company, sometimes truck rentals are a necessary evil... Number after number was disconnected... Address after address was closed..

the people I did speak to were not helpful, rude and one even hung up on me... I ended up getting a room, staying overnight and returning the truck 2 days later than I should have... $600... Extra.... Come on guys

On 5/23/2023, I was supposed to pick up a 16' Budget rental truck at 240 S Hamilton Rd in Columbus, OH. My wife and I flew in from Denver, Colorado to move our belongings that were in storage. When arriving at the location, I was told they did not have any truck for me and sent me to 4810 Sawmill Rd in Columbus to pick one up instead.

That cost me a $70 Uber ride. Once there, the representative printed out the necessary forms and charged the anticipated cost to my card (including $37 for a hand truck). We went over the outside of the truck to note the many damages that the vehicle already had.

Once I signed the damage form I was allowed to take the keys and enter the inside of the truck. The Budget employee went back to the office to help the next customer (she was the only employee…

Horrible experience overall. I made a reservation online for a 16 ft truck and I set up my pickup date as 05/19/2023 and pickup time at 5pm. Went to pickup my truck on the 19th at 5pm and the location was closed.

I called Budget customer service and they said they can’t do anything right now and I should call the pickup location first thing in the morning. I called the location in the morning and the guy on the phone sounded like he didn’t want to be there.

His attitude was horrible and he didn’t try to help at all. He told me he can’t change my reservation in his system and I should call customer service. I called customer service again and they kept saying they can’t modify the reservation date since it’s already passed.

I tried to leave my house today (04/22/2023) and was blocked in by a budget truck unloading furniture for the next door neighbor. I honked my horn to alert someone, anyone that I needed to get out. " What attitude??

He argues with me and reluctantly moves the truck. Why block someone's driveway then get mad when they need to leave. After my husband confronted him he admitted that he was angry that I had blared the car horn. For what?

Absolutely ridiculous unnecessary and he needs to take accountability for blocking my driveway initially. He didn't even apologize for that. Just started screaming that he didn't need an attitude.

This company is complete trash!!! I get a call from Budget not even a day and a half before we're supposed to move from Minnesota to Wisconsin to tell me that the truck I reserved 2 weeks prior isn't available!! What?!?

I asked the guy who called me to help me find another truck and he told me to call customer service. Really?! I called customer service and they said all they could do is make a request to the Inventory Manager. Seriously?!

The inventory manager named Sergio was beyond unprofessional and insulting and when I asked for his employee number he canceled my reservation without my authorization and pretty much told me to go figure it out. Called numerous times before being connected to a supervisor who justified the actions of the inventory manager!!!

I reserved a moving van from March 21. 2023 until March 27 2023 my estimated cost total was $281 . I kept the truck for 2 extra days I estimate maybe at most $100 more . When I got to the rental office in Fairfield CA on Parker road I was told that I would have to leave a $625 deposit my reservation reciept said the deposit would be $425 when I returned the truck it was after hours so

I left the truck and put the key in the drop box. The next day my bank account was charged $853 plus he has $400 in cash of my money he charged me $1253 for 8 days saying that the truck was returned on empty and that it smelled like cigarettes so he charged me for cleaning and fuel .

I rented a cargo van on 1/23/23. At the time of the on line reservation, the desired van was not at the location I entered so it gave me another location to pick it up at. I rented for 4 days and when I went to pick it up, they said it was for a one way trip.

I said it was not for a one way trip and I was bringing it back. They said because the computer was having me deliver van to a different address than I picked it up from, it was a one way trip.

I brought the van back 2 days early, but they would not refund my money for the two days I did not have it because i reserved it for a one way trip. I explained I was not taking it for a one way trip, but they would not refund my moneys.

I made a reservation with this company weeks ago and even called a week in advance to ensure the truck with the car dolly would be there. 25 minutes prior to my appt i get a call telling me that they don't have a truck and that they are looking for one and that i should call customer service.

I call customer service and they tell me they can't do anything. They tell me i need to speak with the inventory manager. I get a call from the inventory manager nearly an hour and half later. He assures me they will have a truck for me and i assume they are going to bring it to me because he only gave me the city of where the truck is and not the address (but apparently it was an hour away getting repaired).

I used the truck rental and had electrical issues they sent a guy out and he didn't fix shit said the starter was out and it had a short wire and spent three hours fixing which I wasnt supposed to do and they still charged me for a late fee and gas fee that already had been filled up got charged 390 and it overdrafts me cost me more for the overdraft fee thanks budget u guys suck fucking dick!!!!!!

Worst experience. We got a moving tuck with 16' and with dolly where dolly was broken and so we had to retune the dolly at the same location where we picked up. this was very time consuming and very frustrating at a same time. We paid for dolly but it was broken so we did not use that and we struggle a lot.

License tag 3db737 Oklahoma caused a car accident! The driver merged into my lane without signal and hit my bumper. Driver got out the truck and threatened me once he realized I was writing down his tag number. The truck driver continue to follow me into my apartment complex and my apartment complex has cameras to show he followe me to my building.

He got out the truck and said" whats up? With his hands in a fighting position. I was terrified and ran into my home.

I made a reservation with budget truck rental on September 3 and was to pick up my truck on September 21 at 8 AM in St. Louis Missouri upon arrival the truck I was supposed to receive was on a flat and I was inconvenienced for over five hours with no truck to move my furniture to Indianapolis Indiana I then

had to drive over an hour away to Chesterfield Missouri where a truck was finally located long after my scheduled pick up time. Customer service was terrible and I will never recommend them to anyone for truck rental and the truck was old and filthy.

I received numerous emails about my upcoming move but the day of no pre warning call or email about a truck not being available for me the next day

In November of 2017, I moved back to Milwaukee after moving to Las Vegas in 2016. I returned to Milwaukee because of health reasons and family urgency. I purchased one of your trucks to carry my belongings and my car for the job.

Along the way one of your tires exploded and left me stranded in the mountains of one of the states we crossed. I called for help and was told someone would be coming to assist. After waiting for over an hour, my driver noticed a tire company a couple of blocks away.

I had called budget to inform them I had an issue with the truck rental. I got the run around for three hours. I finally got reached a customer service agent that was educated enough to answer my questions. She gave me instructions to call them again once I turn in the truck for them not to charge me because if there truck broken down on me twice.

I called them all day the next day . I finally reached a person again after calling several times. He told me to call again the next day because my drop off area hadn’t closed out my case and to not worry I wouldn’t see any extra fees.

We ordered our moving truck 6 weeks in advance and the day we were to pick it up there was no truck waiting for us.

Finally 5 hours a truck came in and we were called to pick it up. The truck was not serviced nor was it clean. My husband were moving from Joshua Tree Ca to Canton Ohio and we are both 70 years old.

The truck did not have prober head lites so we were unable to drive after dark or before daylite. We broke down in Missouri because we were told not to touch the tank that was to have the DEF in it.

The girl in the Palm Springs office specifically told my husband DO NOT MESS WITH THIS referring to the DEF tank. So when we were leaving Missouri first thing in the morning we broke down after getting gas. 00 for 5 gallons of DEF we were finally back on the road.

I was told that I was on a "Do not rent" list when I tried to rent a Budget Rental Truck on my second moving load. For no apparent reason should I be on any type of a "Do not rent" list, because there should be no claims against me.

I have tried no less than ten times now to resolve the issue through phone calls to several different numbers given to me. The latest number called and hung up on me each time I made a selection that was listed.

I have tried to resolve calling Customer Service, but get transferred to the "Audit" department. This is a terrible way to do business and I will be going to a different rental company in the future. I have spent over 45 minutes trying to resolve this issue and have gotten no where.

Truck was mistakenly delivered to wrong Budget site in the same City and State. My mom was not notified until 14 days later and was charged for 15 days. at the same time leaving her with over draft fees and balance of $1000 still needing to pay the bank to cover Budgets draw.

If the truck was dropped off at a Budget site there should be systems in place to notify renter that truck needs to be pick up and dropped at appropriate site or Budget should still accept the truck into inventory since it is a Budget location. We are respectful requesting reimbursement of my mothers social security money that was taken from her banking account.

Picked up truck in Washington and drove to Texas, over 2,000 miles. Windshield was dirty inside and out. Cargo bed dirty. No explanation of controls. Parking brake did not release properly. Fuel gauge did not work properly. Would not show full when topped off.

Metal flexing of cab or bed at highway speeds caused a loud banging noise in cab all the way. Very annoying. An unpleasant trip caused by the ridiculous loud cab noise. Constant banging.

Budget has a habit of charging no show fees of $50 due to their errors and their lack of taking all steps necessary to avoid said charges. Customer service sucks! Gabriel hung the phone up on me after I requested to speak to a supervisor.

I was calling about my refund for a no show fee for a reservation that I cancelled 2 hours after I made it. Even after I explained how I did not want the charge to appear on my credit card bill.

Being told that the refund has been made but it depends on my bank. My bank credits accounts as soon as the refunds are issued. So therefore I know for a fact that the money has not been refunded as of yet!

I paid for the truck insurance .The repair person told me they were having problems with these tires . The worst customer service I have ever had to deal with!!! I called to ask why I was charged for a tire that was driving off the Budget rental store and 15 minutes later the tire was flat.. All freeway may I add.. Ridiculous!!!!

By the way when I called again I was sent to the claims department st 6:32 and was hung up on due to they were closed.. So I called back again and was told they don’t close until 7pm .... this is past ridiculous!!!

I reserved a truck and called in to cancel it with in an hour. 00 no show fee because the truck was cancelled as (with a confirmation email) "no longer needed truck" so I had to pay their no show fee.

Having a hard time getting my money back. 00 fee. 00 for a truck I never used and cancelled the proper way according to the website. I WILL NEVER EVER USE BUDGET AGAIN FOR ANY REASON.

I rented a truck from Kansas City, Mo to drive to Goodyear, Az. One hour into the trip and truck broke down in Kansas. I waited 1 1/2 hours on the interstate highway on the side of the road for your roadside assistance To Answer the call, only to be laughing while answering the phone and not taking my correct number or location.

8 hours later someone showed up. The truck barely made it. I had to have my parents meet me to make the rest of the trip. This is the worst service I have ever encountered or customer service. I am sick and my child is sick from sitting on the side of the highway.

I rented a Budget truck Oct 27, 2018. From day 1 it broke down. Had a fuel leak and engine trouble. At times it would only go 20mph. We called road side assistance 2 times. Nothing fixed. It was dangerous.

We were even charged $380 for beining 2 days late. The truck was in bad shape, over 10 warning lights were found and documented. They would not give us a new truck. They endangered our lives with that fuel leak.

Cost us 3x as much for fuel. I will NEVER EVER rent from them again. Going to fight to get a refund!!!

I used it because it had the best rate (even though uhaul said they would match any price lower that theirs and I always use uhaul) and I figured I would give you a shot. I moved to Clermont Florida from Cincinnati. My father went to pick up the truck that was reserved on 10/22/18. I had reserved a 16 foot truck to fit all of my things. Zero stars is what I would give. My reservation for pick up was at 9am. The lady finally showed up at 10:15am. She didn't even apologize for making me wait. She had a horrible attitude. She talked to me like I was trash.

I called the customer service and talked with Melanie. She tried to help the best she could. After I finally received my truck, I called customer service again and talked with Pete. He was very apologetic. He said after I finished with the transaction, to call back and I would be compensated for all my lost tome and aggrevation.

Had to rush to get things moved before the painters came, not easy considering I was an hour and a half later than I was supposed to be. I returned the truck and went home. I called the customer service again and talked with Mary.

If I could go lower than 0 I would. Rented a trailer and truck, trailers axle broke while driving down the highway. 1 called roadside assistance and took 6 hours for a tow truck. Once there they lowered my vehicle and towed the truck and trailer, leaving me with my dog in a unknown area.

Told to call in morning and wasn't offered assistance in finding lodging. After spending another 12 hours in my vehicle a trailer was found. Had to hook it up alone and I am disabled. Only compensation offered was 80 dollars which I find insulting.
