Not a great build a bear experience today. We are down to the rehoboth beach Delaware location, as we walked into the store the two girls working was sitting on the front counter by the register and seem mad we came in and interrupted their conversation about sex and one girls boyfriend and person parts.

We visit this location frequently and this is the first we came late night on the weekend because we are at Schellville down this way and have gift cards we would like to use for the holidays. The conversation was loud and so inappropriate that we left and won’t return unless it’s during the day during the week and these girls aren’t working.

It was just so uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I had placed an order on Sept 5th for the pumpkin kitty and received a confirmation email from builder bear with tracking number and delivery date. I had also contacted the customer service couple of days later to inquire on the status of my order and received a very poor service.

Nobody seemed to know anything about my order and kept referring me to the shipper which is FedEx. I even called the store and the person there could see my order in the system but didn't have any other information about it.

My daughter was really looking forward to receiving her pumpkin kitty and every day she would ask me if I have heard anything about it. I was confident that we will receive it because of the confirmation email I had received after placing the order.

i ordered 2 notebooks online on 5/31/2023. The delivery date was between 6/10 and 6/13. Today is 6/14 and i tried to call online and the line is cut off. I did a Chat online to get a tracking for the info and status of order.

they never can find my order even though they have the order number and email address on file correctly. they tell me that they will get back with me on the order but never do. this is my second attempt to contact with and keep getting ignored.

We specifically came to Build A Bear in the Oakbrook Mall since it's the closest to home, and our kids have gift cards. We walked up to the store at 6PM to see someone post a lunch break sign and the door locked.

The sign said 6-6:30 PM. We walked around to kill time and came back at 6:25 to wait. It's now 6:40. Our kids are restless and the door is still locked.

Wait time extremely long; not enough staff. Elderly woman over engaged with 6 people to be served. Accused me of stealing or not able to afford the item when I had the receipt in my hand. She kept ask personal questions of my 12 year granddaughter that was none of her business. I was very uncomfortable and felt it was borderline discrimination or racist behaviors.

Diversity training could really help. I will not do business ever again at that location. It was store #0077, receipt code 0077-060212-5001-050304.

I have NEVER in 30 years of shopping Build A Bear have been to one where the TWO employees so obviously HATED their job. m. cashier Reagin. Invoice 058956 store 0018. 02. The Other employee was working the filling machine.

My 4 year old granddaughter was so excited to build a bunny she picked out the heart and the employee did NOTHING not the little heart ceremony that has always been done also did NOT tear off part of the tag to put inside the bunny for identification purposes. 56 trying to make her feel special after a day at Birmingham Children’s hospital for testing after a two hour drive just to get there.

You can check date and time to see who these employees are. I suggest you hire employees that appreciate having a job and care about customer satisfaction because these two didn’t…

We have just been made aware of your "new line" of drag queen bears that you have made available. This is absolutely appalling as concerned citizens and consumers, we cannot abide this kind of fetishism and grooming of a sexually explicit nature towards our children.

Regardless of where you sell this be it the open Build-A-Bear market, or the Bear Cave, stuffed animals are geared towards children. What is your target audience for a drag queen bear? If this is not for children, then you can be sure that it is for those who would seek to ensnare children.

Took the family to the Roseville galleria mall for build a bear. Staff was extremely slow. Young female behind the counter was terrible. Short, not engaged at all. We stood at the counter for several minutes before she or another staff member even acknowledged us and still never said hello.

There were two other, managers maybe, they weren’t helping either. It took us 45 minutes to wait for our bears to be stuffed and paid for. It was a weekday so can’t imagine what a weekend is like. Never go back.

especially from the manager. My son has approximately 50+ bears and I've spent an exorbitant amount of money. That being said, you would think that if a company REALLY cared about the children they would go above and beyond to grant such a small request.

I can understand why this company has received such bad reviews. Maybe you should re-examine your company policy and put the customers first.

The Cinnamoroll Build a Bear is causing scalpers to run rampant... for a plush. Really frustrated that it's so limited, to get other it's either hope that the stores near me have one (and it's not too late) or pay $60-100 for a plush that retails at $32.

Shame on you, Build a Bear. Stuffed animals should not be short printed and made to be high dollar items by others.

We went to the build a bear in the Galleria Mall in Las Vegas, Nv. My daughter was going for her 2nd birthday bear while we were in line she started to have a meltdown because there was a lot of people in the store.

My daughter needed to leave for a moment and the manager Stephanie kept just telling me that I can come back cause of her having the meltdown. That I can buy the bear but I’m not allowed to fill it up for her.

I feel like it was completely unnecessary for her to act the way she did over my daughter crying. She was acting extremely bothered over it and stopping from helping others to keep telling me that I can just buy it and come back.

The customer service operator I spoke to on the phone for a mixup on my order told me the incorrect info. She told me that the previous rep I spoke to said that the payment had authorized when the rep actually told me that if the billing address was incorrect that the order wouldn't go through and would just show up as pending.

She told me that I was incorrect when I know what the first rep said and that was not it. She was not helpful and was rude on the phone. It was for the orders attached to my email. I only made a second purchase of the exact same build a bear because the first rep told me that if the billing address is incorrect that it would not go through.

I purchased a build a bear from America unstuffed many years ago. I was informed any build a bear in any country would stuff the frog I purchased. Now I know it is an old model but my autistic grandson took it to be stuffed at build a bear Sheffield Uk.

They refused to stuff it even though it still had the sales tags as well as the label attached. My grandson was devastated. I would like this complaint forwarded to the CEO. Build a bear is supposed to be filled with love and kindness.

I feel so strongly about this I will no longer buy anything associated with build a bear.

I went to a build-a-bear workshop in the Ingleside mall today 10/8/22, I wanted to get a PAW Patrol Marshall doll for myself, only to find that the place was a total disaster, dirty and pretty much empty of dolls for PAW Patrol except for one Chase doll and that's it! Worse yet, not one staff person bothered to come up and assist me in any form what-so-ever, which was an annoyance to say the least. I was so upset that I left the place storming in anger.

You people call yourselves a business? I don't think so.

The picture you see WAS what I was looking for. But you people don't care.

Today I took my 3 year old to build a friend for her other bear she got about a year ago. We had such a wonderful experience it was truly magical but today when we went to penn square mall the little black haired girl with the lip rings made our experience awful.

Like we were putting her out to do her job she said “Um do u want a smell or what” and my 3 year old was holding the heart to put it in and she looks down after filling it and said oh I want that in there and just pushed it in.

Im so disappointed in the experience!

Ordered my boyfriend a build a bear in the middle of January for Valentine’s day. Never received confirmation email, no email about anything, yet took out my money immediately. I have no idea what to do now and our Valentine’s day will be ruined.

Cant believe that such a “loving” company would do this to people. Should’ve read the reviews before I ordered.

I decided to buy my friend, who had just had surgery, something from the online store. I made a mistake on my order information, and I decided, after looking online to see if I could edit my information, that I'd call the Guest Services number.

After waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes, behind 11 people, and listening to the same few versions of an off-brand Kid's Bop singing "Have it All", originally by Jason Mraz, I connected with an agent. " instead of a normal customer service agent.

After a few more "hellos", she hung up. I tried to call back, but was once again met with the beginning message of the wait times being longer than expected. What a waste of time, and could have been easily solved by simply making your order information editable.

I took my granddaughter to one of your stores on Monday the 27th of December. This store was not open at the appointed time 11am,Store # is 0422 02. There was also another person waiting for the store to open, even though there were a couple of employees in the store.

First my granddaughter was ignored when she entered the store. She also repeatedly said HELLO, They would get very quiet then start up with loud talking. The employees continued to stay in the back and continue to talk very loudly and use inappropriate language while she was waiting.

I had ordered a build a bear for my god son online. It was a single bear with a voice recording. I called the toll free number, did the recording, it was fine. When my friend had received the bear, it had a hole in the back of it.

Where the seam should have been laced up. The bear now has an even bigger hole so my god son can not cuddle with it or anything. With the amount of money I paid for the bear, I'm disappointed.

We got the vouchers for pay your age. Went on my sons birthday yesterday June 26th. Drove an hour to get there. Arrived at 7pm and was told they were not accepting any new customers due to the filling station having a 2 hour line.

Then she told us we could buy an empty bear and come BACK to fill another day. They didnt close until 9 and there was no reason my kids weren't allowed to build their bear! We drove an hour just for this event on my sons actual birthday.

He cried while standing next to other kids in line that actually got to build their bear. Shame on you guys. Disgusting being treated that way. But you have my 50 bucks I spent on 2 empty bears and clothes. So you're welcome.

I took 6 bears in the store to be fixed walked out with 5 not knowing that one was missing and one still not fixed. To calling to inform them of what happen and to be told that it’s not there and there is nothing they can do about it.

You have poor customer service on solving problems. And I have a upset child behind a bear that was not put back in my bag. after they use the gift cards I purchase on my visit today I will no longer shop there after I been a loyal customer for over 16 years

Took my young son to snd his £40 voucher at your store in Bracknell. He picked out his bear, costume, heart, smell and everything else the assistant suggested. Once he had gone through the "ceremony" she went to serve another customer telling us we still has about £10 to spend.My son then found an out fit costing £14. First I am a 71 YEAR OLD Grandma who took her Granddaughter for a 7 dollar bear last week. You know the rest. 2nd I got a 15 dollar coupon for an inconvenience on Build a Bear by your company, my granddaughter has over 25 of your stuff animals plus small ones and all of the furniture, cars whatever.

I was at the pay your age for my 2 year old grandsons and was turned away with nothing. They are both 2 years old and one has Eosinophilic esophagitis and the other has Autism. I am a grandmother who used this offer opportunity to be able to get my grandsons a bear that I cant afford otherwise and use the time to spend with them doing something memorable.

I didnt get that opportunity and think this is awful ! This was heartbreaking and disappointing . West county mall St. Louis Mo.

I’m very pissed , I had work today & couldn’t take off for the build the bear age day for my 2 year old son . So I drove a whole damn hour to CUMBERLAND MALLafter I got off just to get told Rudly by the co manager that they wasn’t letting anyone end that they reach their limit .

I’m confused how when she stated that no one has been let in the store since 11:30 am that morning but ppl where in the store . So you mean to tell me those same ppl standing their was their all day .

Then on top of I’ve called every store that morning to see if their was a time it would be stopped and location no answer from any locations . Then I get a $15 dollar off like how in the hell is this a deal ??

Today was supposed to be the "pay your age" event. S. due to the volume of response. This is ridiculous; what did Build A Bear expect? My children were so geared up and excited and now I have to go home and tell them that it isn't happening.

Today my children, Isabella (age 4) and Kaylie (2) were looking forward to going Build-A-Bear for the pay your age. They were sadly disappointed when we were turned away due to they were no longer taking any more people. I had to explain to them that we could not go today because there was a long wait. Needless to say my children who had already picked from online pictures wanted the My Little Ponies went home without what they hoped to have. July 12 "Pay your age"

I took my 1yr old grandchild to get a bear. We stood in line for a while until the store associate said they were stopping the line. If the customers were okay standing in line why did they cut the line off. I feel build-a-bear should have gave out vouchers to be used at a different time.

Today was lay the age of your child day. Well we drove our o e year daughter over an hour away to get her her first built a bear. We got to the store an hour early & waited in line just for build a bear people to only take the first few people & turn everyone else away with a 15% off coupon. That’s beyond fucked up.

Y’all are just going to turn away a bunch of crying kids that just wanted a bear. Great job people. We’re thinking about suing & so are a ton of other people who got told to leave because there was too people patiently waiting in line with their young kids.

Today July 12 2018 Build A Bear promoted the sale of bears per age. After standing in line for 5 1/2 hours the employee came out and said we only have one registrar open so we are cutting the line off in front of me.

they are supposedly handing out vouchers for $15 off. That is a joke compared to the pay your age event!!!! Half the people in line probably aren't even club members and were gonna sign up today instead of already being in it!!

I have never been more disappointed in an event than I am in this.

I took my son for his birthday gift and bought 2 build a bears because the sign above the bins said 2 for 35 it didn't say only certain ones. So my son picks 2 and we finish up and the total was way more than I expected and I said to the girl that they were only supposed to be 2 for 35 her response was um no only certain ones are.

I said I got them from the same bin again she said um no. I had no choice but to buy it because I could not take it back from my son. I am totally disappointed with this.

I work at build a bear at parkway place mall in Huntsville Alabama so when I walked in the other day I expected a great experience but however saw the new manager being extremely disrespectful to her employees. After seeing how badly she treated others I decided to turn in my two weeks because no one should work under such an awful person. I personally love BAB.

But I will not return to that store if I see her in the stores treating people the way she did.

Dear Build a Bear customer service. My Family went to your store on 9/9/16 in Columbia Mall MD. I was very disappointed with the experience. I got to the event expecting to purchase the $5 bears along with one of your wonderful pets. We did purchase Chase from Paw Patrol and a Rainbow Leopard that day for my daughter's birthday. However when we arrived, the store was crowded with upset crying children, and angry parents. After speaking to the Manager the pets that were advertised, were sold out in an hour after the store opened.

I asked the Manager to hang a sign that said they were sold out of the $5 bears, so that families knew there was no longer available before they came into the store. She said she couldn't do that. I understand that it was Build a Bear's intent to make it a feel…

Purchased the 4 teenage mutant ninja turtles online from build a bear for my son's birthday. Along with the bears I purchased their accessories and the 5-in-1 sayings for each turtle except the Donatello one as this was not in stock yet and the Norwich branch had informed me that they where waiting on it coming into store. I phoned today to be informed that it will not be coming to the store and I can not get it on line.

This is disgusting as I now have 3 of the 4 turtles with the 5-in-1 sayings. Please can it be explained why the Donetello turtle was left without. I will have one upset boy on his birthday as Donatello is his favorite. If I had know that there was never going to be one to purchase for that turtle then I would never off had the other 3 done.
