My husband WAS a DeWalt fanboy. We own chainsaws, weed trimmers, fans, blowers, drills, impacts, mitre saws, saw stands, circular saws, cutoffs, jigsaws, reciprocating saws, shop vacs, hand vacs, jobsite speakers, stools, lights, worm saws, two kinds of sanders, jackets, and a ton of batteries and chargers.
He purchased a drywall cutting tool last year from Amazon that quit working the second time he used it. No problem, we assumed, contact DeWalt and use their much touted warranty. The good news, yes it's under warranty. The bad news, it will cost us, the consumer, $69 plus shipping to get this tool fixed under their so called "warranty".
The tool only cost $87 brand new last year on sale through Amazon. How much is DeWalt going to charge me if my expensive Mitre Saw fails? I expected…
