Dillard's faces severe customer satisfaction issues dominated by restrictive return policies (especially on clearance/sale items with 3-day limits), consistently rude and unhelpful staff/management, and serious accusations of racial profiling and discrimination against minority customers. Additional concerns include damaged shipments, order fulfillment problems, and alarming workplace harassment complaints from employees.

South Park Men's Tailored Business Manager (Toni) was very Rude, Unprofessional, Nasty, Disrespectful & spoke to me ask if my business was not needed or wanted. She said, "Where you buy it, then take back there." Also she does not have any customer service skills. She cannot and should not be allowed to talk to customers like she spoke to me.
00 It was not of the usual quality, and does not stay strong all day like usual. I returned it to the Denton Dillard where I got it, but lost my receipt. It was in the box and very little used.
They would not let me return it and get another one, because it had been opened. How do you know if it's not of good quality if you don't open it? Told them I had a account in store, but made no difference.

The hiring process was a nightmare. Managers are horrible. The lady that does Customer Service handled everything. Was not paid for orientation was not talked to during it sat with blank screen waiting for Secretary/ Customer service change video. The manager was there and was supposed to be with me.
I think it was my age everyone was under 35 practically I'm 58. I've ran a business and this was humilsting and unprofessional. Really made Dillards look bad Walmart seems more organized.

Dillards is one of my favorite stores but I had two bad experiences from their service. Employees are greedy to make commission and they don't care about customers. I am going to share my experiences.
1. May 5 or 6, 2021 during the Mother's Day, I went to Willow Bend Mall in Plano, TX. Two of their employees had rough conversations about who helped me first in the shoes area. The girl said she asked me first for help. On the other hand, the man said he was helping me first. I was so confused on what should I do. Finally the man helped me and he ordered my item. But he had focus on the next customer because he had to make commission. And top of that he forgot to give me back my driver's license when he was going to look at my license for the address to ship the shoes. I went to the store…
Your customer service at your Lake Havasu store was very good. People were very helpful. Without naming names because we do not feel we want to get anybody in hot water, may we respectfully suggest that your employees do not talk about politics to their customers, especially if the customer does not bring it up first.
It is inappropriate in that setting and it makes some people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I just visited the dillards central mall nederland Texas . The outside temperature was 90 the store temperature was at least that. I was standing waiting for family member trying on clothes and was drenched in sweat and I am not a large person.

I went ahead and purchased couple of items at dillards store and the sales associate never mentionwd anything about the return policy and qhen i finally went to retutn the ogems they have said that they do not accept the returns after 3 days. I placed an order early Tuesday morning for a blouse for my Mother (Order #624021529). After checking regularly re: shipping, I have received NO notification that my order has shipped. I called the Dillards number (1-800-345-5273 ) to try and find out where my package was and was told that it had not left Little Rock for shipment to USPS. This is ridiculous!!!
It takes 55+ hours to ship an order??? I am a LOYAL Dillards shopper, and I find it appalling and disgusting that your company cannot be more efficient in getting a customer their merchandise. My concern is that during this time of Covid-19 your employees was out on furlough without any letter of stating for example ( Due to covid-19 our store will be closed until further notice) , Parks Mall in Arlington, Tx. a letter or email, text would be helpful IN particular my wife since she is an employee there.
Most of the issues can be resolved with a letter or something in order to make simple arrangement's. while upper management still have income we are now down to one income which is mine, arrangement's cannot be accomplished without some form of letter or statement as to why Dillard's is closed.
Last week I bought a pair of pants for $89 and a blouse for $45, plus the tax involved. I took them home and tried on the pants, however, the waist would not stay pulled up and I wished to return them with the blouse that I bought that matched it.
However, when I went to return them they refused to give me my money back, quoting that the tags were not attached anymore and that the pants appeared to be worn. I did not wear the pants other than to try them on.
They not look worn and there was nothing wrong with either garment. I have been a customer with Dillard's for over 45 years, buying most of my clothes there and have never been treated so poorly.

Had an associate "Robert" (tall black hair) the other day be completely and incoherently rude to my wife and I. We gazing sections of the stores looking to find an outfit for our date night when Robert came up to us and asked if we knew how expensive these clothes actually were.
We explained to him that we were looking for a nice outfit for my wife and he gave us such attitude and problems about being able to assist us; it seemed as if he didn't want to be there at all. I made some purchases on Dillards Canton Belden Village through the phone in August. At that time, there was a gift with purchase on Estee Lauder. Before I made the purchase, the associate promised all the gifts for my purchases.
However, when I received the packages. Most of the gifts were missed. I went to Dillards to purchase a dress for a wedding. I ended up getting a lovely blue jumpsuit instead, however, I was unable to attend the wedding so I brought the outfit back to the store, still in the plastic dress bag, with the tags still on it and receipt in hand.
I was told since it was over 30 days later by a couple of days, I would not be able to return it for a refund. No problem, I asked for store credit instead as I was there with my granddaughter to purchase her homecoming dress.

This past Saturday 9/7/19 I shopped at the Westfield Broward Dillard’s store. I made two purchases one for $259.61 (men’s clothing) and another for $68.95 (luggage).
On Sunday 9/8/19 I returned 3 of the clothing items as they did not fit quite right (all labels and pricing still in-tact).
I took the items to the first register just inside the door. The young man that helped me – I would learn later had been on the job for only 1 month - had some difficulty processing the return. I rushed to Dillards at approximately 6pm on Saturday evening to purchase a pair of white dress shoes after learning I needed them for church the next day. I had found a pair online and showed them to the sales clerk, Ebony, who said she didn't have them in stock.

On 4/3/2019 i went to the junior dept and purchased 2 items. Purchased the items with a check, it took like 20 minutes for the clerk to even do that. On 4/4/2019 I took the two items back to exchange them.
One of the items I needed a small, and the other I exchanged it for another dress. , however she kept trying and couldn’t achieve that transaction. The young lady made a call and was explaining that she has done that before but couldn’t get it to go through.

Racial Descrimination in Columbus Ga. store by children’s shoe department personnel, young African American clerk, totally ignored and abused a Korean lady, who was very patiently waiting. Waited on at least 6 other African Americans while ignoring the Korean lady.

Hello Please look at your online picture of order #0449445644 and look at picture of the dress you sent me I emailed a picture to Stephine per her suggestion. Dress on line is a delicate and soft looking pink with what appears to be white flowers on a soft light grey background.
Dress I received has all bold/overpowering pink flowers on a dark ugly grey background. This is false and deceptive advertising and for this reason I think you should at least exchange it. I went to the Dillard’s in cedar hill Texas to exchange some clothes that were too small that I had received as a gift. The women’s department manager Crystal, was rude and refused to listen and even put her finger in my face while I was trying to explain that the clothes were a gift. 6/21/2018 my statement from suntrust had electronic ach debit wells fargo card copmt 1001. on my card it has american express. i called suntrust to check into merchant. i thought these charges were a fraud so i opened a probe into account charges.
after 2 hours of work with the bank and finally saw barely on back of card wells card was embedded in numbers from front of card. i called customer service of dillards and got no help what so ever very rude. charles hembree
On Tuesday 27 february i was at the Dillards store in the downtown Summerlin location in Las Vegas looking at mens suits when the sales person told me that the mens suits are going on sale on Thursday and there will be a substantial discount , so i said i'm going out of town for a few days but will return at the weekend and purchase two suits .

I have been a teacher in Las Vegas, NV for the past 35 years and when I can afford it, I have always shopped at Dillard's, especially when they used to have 75% off sales. Last year, I began shopping at Dillard located in the Meadows Mall in Las Vegas, NV; they have very good bargains and I purchased nearly my entire wardrobe there. August 21st, 2015 at 8:04 Friday night I went into Dillards. I was checking the shoes hoping to find a deal. I found a pair of shoes but was unable to try them due to them being tied together.
