Let me warn you about Discover Bank. They will do things ‘their’ way and if you have any suggestions or requests, do not be surprised that it will be left on deaf ears. I have been trying for the past 6 or 7 years to get them to be paperless and they have gotten back to me that they will continue to destroy our planet and there is nothing we can do about it.

Okay, maybe I am exaggerating, but the sentiment is the same. I have been asking that they not send mail but rather use their secure message center. They insist that they will continue to use mail since that will comply with *their* business practices.

They will email when statements are due but that is the only thing that is paperless. We need to get all banks and credit unions to become totally paperless – for those of us who…

Discover Bank is still in the 19th Century. You cannot get them to stop mailing things. They feel that the customers are not worth trying to fix their systems to be more of an online bank. They insist that it must be mailed.

HOWEVER, according to Federal Banking Rules & Regulations any and all correspondence can be “MAILED OR DELIVERED”. And having spoken with a Federal Banking lawyer, that means if the bank has “Secure Message Center”, nothing has to be mailed. I have pointed this out to them numerous times and they still insist that some things need to be mailed.

I will allow 1099s but that is still something that does not need to be mailed. If they are concerned that the people are not obtaining them through their website, they can institute a better recovery system. Perhaps, have a…

after the hold was off my check i was still unable to transfer any money it was always cancelled then they told me there was security concern so i did everything they asked i uploaded id ss number they said after that all would be fine so i did and the check is my covid rent check in with i need by the end of august so i called discover security department like i was told too after ii uploaded everything they asked and

they said its been closed cant tell you anything else it was a buisness decision call back in two months and request a check i dont have two months to wait ill be homeless on the streets with my babies by then

This morning at around 6:30am I tried to use the Discover card I have had for many years to pay for a $1,200 medical procedure and I was shocked to find the card was declined. Luckily, I did not have to immediately cancel the procedure because a Visa card I had with me covered it.

Because I have never missed a payment on my Discover card and the fact that I had a $10,000 credit limit on it, I had decided to use it this morning. After calling Discover this afternoon, I find out that the account had been closed WITHOUT NOTIFICATION!!!!????

The reason given was "inactivity", though it was used as recently as last month. I was also told that it is company policy not to inform the customer of the possibility of closure of an account for inactivity. I could understand this policy if the customer…
