I opened a checking account at eTrade, Morgan Stanley Bank, several years ago. I have a little over $10,000 on deposit, and about 2 weeks ago I requested to close the account. After spending several hours on hold, repeatedly, I was told that there was a hold on my account.
They cannot tell me why, and they say the only way to contact the " hold team", other than them sending an internal email. They said they should have an answer soon and that I should wait for a call.
I have been waiting and calling them back and they keep telling me the same thing. Each time I call I have to sit on hold for at least 40 minutes, and then I'm told the agent (same agent that says he can only email the "hold team"), is busy.
