Since being taken over by MS this company now operates in the fringes of the law most employees are 20 years olds who could care about you or your investments, and they take pleasure in closing your account with out reason, very strange.Avoid

I literally cannot contact this company. I am non-verbal and etrade has no other option to contact their customer service than a 1-800 number. I have an account with them through which my employer purchases company stock and my account shows as closed when I log in, even though I have regular statements!!

I reported them as a violation of the Americans with Disabilities act that they have zero accommodations for non verbal customers. I've never been so frustrated with a company. There's nothing I can do.

Rude support staff, in particular, the "Activation Services" team in Georgia. A number of their staffers hung up on. A couple of them said they would follow up but never did. There is zero accountability apparently as escalation messages to management are ignored.

My account is disabled! I called the support many times to activate it, but unfortunately after waiting for an hour to connect to the support, they hung up before the job was done!!! And my account is still inactive. Unfortunately, I did not get any results from contacting support!

When I first opened my account 200 dollars went missing and when I called there was an hour hold time every time I tried with no answer! They closed my account and will not give my 1500 dollars back, only when they closed my account was I able to get ahold of a person that said I needed to give a long list of information to get it back including My social security number by mail and

when I asked for some kind of an email stating what I needed to do to get my money back they said they will not give me any information on how to get it only verbal then put me on hold and never answered again!

The person also stated if I didn’t do what they asked I would not ever get my money back!

My mother passed away in June 2022. There is $ from her retirement & IRA in E-Trade to be dispersed between my self, my niece & my sister in whom we don’t get along nor talk. My niece received her money promptly in June in a wire transfer.

I’ve been getting the run around full of lies from multiple staff members; Jackson Pingerie, Janine, Ashley Robinson, Shandae Robinson & Brandon Johnson. Transferring me to people who have been unsuccessful at helping out the situation. Brandon Johnson supposedly sent a $25 waived fee wire transfer on 10/05/22 I which it hasn’t reached my account thus this far.

None of the representatives I have talked to has been able to help me out with anything another than a script of lies only to upset me. This has been a frustrating rollercoaster ride dealing…

Have been calling them about a old account thought it was closed for 12 years. 00 to close it. 00 to close it. Sounds like extortion to me. How can this criminal company keep getting away with this? I'm escalating this issue with the attorney general and or any claim or any complaint I can file.

This company is corrupt and definitely would think very hard before doing business with them. They have way too much competition to deal with a second rate company like this one.

So I have been trying to buy shares for about a week now but everytime I try I’m met with *your account has been restricted to closing orders only*. I tried contacting them but I’m outside the U.S(tanzania). The number i call cuts immediately after I dial and it’s very frustrating Iv been trying for two days straight.

Customer service hold times are ridiculous. And they answer from home; you can hear kids in the background. So unprofessional. I cant wait to use another brokerage company. Etrade is just going downhill. I would not recommend them.

Can I give this company a zero? I have never dealt with such poor customer service. Waiting on call for over an hour each time then just got cut off. They hold my money for months with me not able to do anything with it.

When I finally got through, they asked for a lot of documents which I uploaded as per request. 4 weeks later the account still froze. This company is a legalized robber!!!

Google butterfly cost showed bid ask as 1$ but executed for 6$. 600$ worth. And it's not allow to sell even 1$. Same butterfly cost is 1$ max in thinkorswim.

Trying to sell Amazon butterfly for 0.001$ even bid price is 7$. E-Trade is not selling. Customer service manager said E-Trade is like that. Say sorry. Lost my money. Sample is attached.

I made a deposit to a ROTH IRA January 2021, $7000 for 2020 and $7000 for 2021. You put the total amount to 2021. It needs to be moved. Next, I do not have my tax forms so I can do my taxes.

When I spoke with my accountant she stated the Etrade was awful and you will wait until 4/15 to post statements and then in July send out corrections so I will have to amend my tax return. Obviously, if it plays out like she says, we will need to look at legal remedies for this situation.

We have filed a request to process a small estate affidavit since October of 2021. First they lost the affidavit which was all in the same envelope while they had the rest of the documents enclosed. after waiting for a month and not hearing anything, we called and found out that they are missing a document. They didn't even have the courtesy to contact us. We submitted another fresh affidavit to them. It is now 2 months later and still waiting. This is a very straight forward small estate case. The widow is desperately waiting for the funds as she has to support herself and children. She has no job. This is very critical for this family. I would never want any business to be conducted through Etrade.

I have an account with etrade through my companies stock purchase program. Etrade sold all my stock purchases showing dates from 12-13 years ago and closed my account. I'm verbally disabled so have no way to contact them. They basically stole my money and are making sure I can't contact them because I can't talk.

I opened a checking account at eTrade, Morgan Stanley Bank, several years ago. I have a little over $10,000 on deposit, and about 2 weeks ago I requested to close the account. After spending several hours on hold, repeatedly, I was told that there was a hold on my account.

They cannot tell me why, and they say the only way to contact the " hold team", other than them sending an internal email. They said they should have an answer soon and that I should wait for a call.

I have been waiting and calling them back and they keep telling me the same thing. Each time I call I have to sit on hold for at least 40 minutes, and then I'm told the agent (same agent that says he can only email the "hold team"), is busy.

My husband died and I have tried to report that to E*Trade. I was on hold for 90 minutes; today, 70 minutes. No one ever answered. When I tried to launch their “live chat” it said no chat was available. Horrible!

I am sick and tired that every time I transfer securities as a gift to my son's etrade account your operations area always put the erroneous cost basis on his account. I had a person who was supposed to help me with this issue she did not she told me to call a phone number but it takes a long time . My other contact was Enrique Pineda I think he does not work etrade anymore..

ETRADE is the worst financial institution I have ever delt with. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, they won't give it back without a fight. I have been on hold with Etrade for over 6 hours today trying to get my money.

All they keep doing is putting up road blocks to block me from withdrawing MY MONEY. There are no alternatives except US Mail or waiting on hold for one of there incompetent, lying representatives. ETRADE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME THEY WASTE, Save yourslf some aggravation and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR MONEY.

I called the day before and waited an hour and the young lady responded to my problem and after wards assured me everything was taked care of with my IRA distribution. She said in about an hour I should recieve my funds. The next day, nothing!

So I called the next day (today as of this complaint) and Im still on hold, its been THREE HOURS AND 46 MINUTES!

I would give less than a 1 if that is possible. They lock your account for no reason and dont answer phone calls, or emails or chat. Their offices are closed due to cover. We locked 200K in trading and cant buy or sell.

I have Trust account which took 2 months to accomplish. I sent an application for a Power of Attorney about 5 weeks ago. Repeated enquiries are going nowhere. Platinum Client manager Mr. Nathan Aldridge cannot be reached for weeks and other people continue to dodge me with no updates.

I opened a brokerage account with Etrade . I transferred $1000 into the account and traded for a day . The stock went down so I sold at loss of $170 . Then Etrade locked my account, when I called to find out the reason, they informed me they were closing the account and I requested my funds transferred to my business account or a check overnighted to the address on file, they refused and

are holding my money for no reason. Looks like that’s how they operate, keep clients money as long as they can and use it . This is illegal money laundering they should be investigated by the feds .

It's more than 2 months that I've been trying to transfer my VMW share from eTrade to my Italian Bank Account - FinecoBank.

Every time eTrade rejects my requests without any suitable explanations.

eTrade tells me that they are sending communication to my bank, whenever I call my Italian Bank I am told they have never received emails from eTrade.

Basically I can't transfer my share from eTrade to my Italian Bank in this way, because the transfer must starts from eTrade and it seems they are "holding" against my volountee all my share to make their profit and business

This is not fair and I expect a resolution

I opened an account with E-Trade over 6 months ago with a small amount of money to give it a try. I decided to go with my son's broker. I have requested numerous times for my money to be returned to my bank account.

I have given them the information that they needed. They also do not have anywhere where you can do an attachment. They asked me for my driver's license which I would gladly provide but there is no way to give it to them You cannot attach anything.

They also did not ask me for a driver's license when opening the account. The customer service is deplorable. Right below where I am typing now there is a place to do an attachment E-Trade does not have one. I could not possibly be the only person that has complained about them.

I want my money back.

I called etrade to report fraudulent activity on my account. I filed the required police report. I Notarized the affidavit. I did not expect the trade to be reversed but above all I wanted to prevent this from happening again.

It was a relatively small amount but it was scary that this could occur. I was instead treated like a criminal by Susan Hallis in investigations. 678-319-7820. Thanks a lot. I have been a customer since 2002 with capital one 360 now etrade.

I will be moving my account but am very disappointed with customer service.

I guess this company hangs on to even 180 bucks to gain interest. 10 phone calls and constant broken promises that my money will be sent and they don't. They just lie and new excuses ever time. Do NOT use this company EVER !

So-called supervisors tell you your funds will be transferred and available that day and it never happens. I'm still trying to get my little 180 bucks back with new lies and excuses why they haven't sent it. 10 phone calls in literally a month and I haven't seen one penny.

I don't know how they stay in business ? Good luck to you if you have 1000 or five figures to retrieve and get from them - I doubt you'll ever see it. Not to offend the reader of this, but you are stupid if you ever use this company - you might as well flush your money down the toilet because…

Etrade liquidated my BA position under the reasoning of lobbying with Boeing. They had other choices as FDX, or TSLA to liquidate to satisfy the House Call. Which by the way they created that artificial House call after changing the Margin Requirement on BA stock SPECIFICALLY from 25% to 45%, so that gives them the right to lower my Short position on BA.

Also Etrade is misleading their investors (that are using their platform) on the truth of the financials of BA as a company by not posting all the TRUE and bad publicity about Boeing after the Fatal Crash in Ethiopia, and how it's impacting them negitively Financially.

1)Etrade liquidated a House Call without being fiduciary to their client. They had multiple positions to liquidate (TSLA, FDX since these are the position that occurred a few days, weeks ago. NOT BA that was Short position back in Jan 4th 2019) to satisfy the House call and at the same time be fiduciary to their client.

But they told me they don't have the time to do so. Instead the action they took had a bigger lose on me of $2,639 verses $700-$800 range. 2) they changed the margin requirement 5 times in the period of 5 to 14 days.

They allow you to enter positions then they increase the margin requirement a few hours later on, then they lower it the next day. (It would be better business practise to keep the margin requirement higher, instead of artificially fluctuating it every few…
