On August 2 , 2019 i checked in at the Holiday Inn Express in Westlake Ohio and on August 5 checked out and was told that i would be getting a refund due to over payment and as of now it has not reached my Bank account. I called the Hotel today and they claimed that the funds were released to my bank and as i was sitting in the bank (Today) the branch manager stated that this is not true and showed my my account in real time. I’m 56 years old and in the last 25 years I have stayed in a lot of hotels this hotel is one of the worst if not the worst I have ever did business with. I’m not sure if they just gave me bad information or if they just straight up lied but once they get your money they don’t care nothing about you. I will never stay in another holiday inn express again

How many inches from the floor are your beds. I was in an accessible room with the rollin shower and grab bars on Rockside road in Independence this past weekend 9/20 and 9/21/2019. The beds are too high. A nice young man named Richard was working that night brought me a rollaway bed, but it was too low.

He lowered the bed which helped a little. Last year I stayed at a holiday Inn in San Juan, PR before a cruise, and had to sleep in the chair because I could not get into the bed. Even though I rated a 3 star, the staff was 5 star.

I also will be staying at the Holiday Inn on the beach in Galveston, TX next year before a cruise. I hope they will lower the bed for me. I might have to call around for another hotel where the beds are not so high.

C. Holiday Inn at the capitol. Room was supposed to be a King Size bed, instead it was a queen. Air conditioner was loud. Our room was above the front Entrance, people smoking below. The smoke was coming through the vents. Complained to the staff.

They were rude and told me there was nothing they can do!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn at i-44 and glenstone avenue in Springfield Missouri on Saturday night. it was the most disgusting Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in in my life it was very unkept dirty and outdated. someone should really take a look at this property because there are no discounts applied for such a disgusting experience.

we will never stay at this establishment again may even move on to something other than Holiday inns knowing these kind exist.

Charged before check in. Manager lied and said refund took minutes and I would not be double charged Manager lies and stated I threatened her and staff. Manager cancelled my reservations after lieing to corporate that I threatened her. Was charged over $500 and when askes to fax my bank that my reservations werw cancelled advised fax was down. Emailed the info.

After calling back to check to see if fax was back up I was laughed at and told manager was there but they couldn't locate her. Still no refund. com who advised they never cancelled my reservation and if I didn't call I would have been charged a cancel fee.

I became sick because I was worried on how I would ger by thru the weekend with no money or place to stay.

Attempted to make a reservation for 2 nights at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Silver Springs-Ocala.

For the second year consecutively again having problems requested and completed pin request. At which point your system, again this year, suspended my account. Same as 2018.

I have 3 separate member numbers. Called your 888-211-9874 on September 22, 2019 at3:46P.M. I spoke with Shine. She could not help me after 10 minutes. Finding a 3rd member number she wanted to create a 4th account.

Simple answer is "create a new account every reservation." Not acceptable.

I Recently stayed at a holiday inn express in hope mills North Carolina at 3111 north main st. When I booked the room they told me that rooms were at premium rates. They did not tell me the hotel was going under renovations.

I was given a handicap room next to the pool entrance. Very noisy and I did not request a handicap room. I do not like these rooms. They could not move me do to renovations on other floors. The breakfast area was being painted so the smell of paint was such that you could not eat without heavy fumes.

All in all a very bad experience. Very dissatisfied.

Horrible service at David Wallys in Genoa. Stephanie Moghaddam had poor communication and follow through. Made changes to my wedding dinner without notification, wasnt around for the event, had only 1 server to take care of 24 people, several other issues with the night.

Would not recommend staying at DW or working with Stephanie for anything.

We had a wedding in Columbus on August 4, 2019. We booked our rooms on April 9, 2019 through a service and was put on my credit card. We called the downtown Columbus Holiday Inn to confirm our reservation of 2 rooms with two beds. They had it in their records. On the day of the wedding we went to the hotel and they had our reservation of 2 rooms but needed our credit card. When we got there they had no rooms available and that we would have to wait. So we did and it was about an hour before the wedding and of course we were not ready to go so we complained and they upgraded our 2 rooms. We went to the rooms and only one bed and we needed two beds so of course that did not work. So between family members we worked it out.

As we arrived to the holiday inn off of I40 and 4th street Albuquerque NM, not only our family but a family before us stood at the automatic doors awaiting for front desk to open the door while the front desk individual just looked at us and looked away. An individual from the other family picked up the phone which he still continued to make all of us wait and since there were people in the lobby the husband spoke in a loud voice to a person inside asking to open the door for us which they did approach the sensor for the doors to open.

I was accused of doing drugs in my room. The manager called my boss to say same. I was charged $300 for a “smoking fee”. I never smoked in my room. Not in five nights stay have I smoked once.

When I went to front desk I was told to return in 20 minutes only to be confronted by 8state troopers. As this is happening people are smoking pot outside. I’m very confused s to why I’m being robbed by holiday inn express and accused of wrong doing at the same time

Stayed at the holday in express in southampton ordered 2x fish & chips peas. When the meal arrived it was packet fish small size 12 chips a sppon full off peas. When it arrived after a 15 min wait it was look warm chips where hard and burnt after a long drive i was hungry for a meal but this was beyond a joke.

90 it was not worth it. The wife had one piece of fish we were offered a drink but declined the drink was offered another choice but nothing we wanted was on the menue. The menue is missleading it was not fish but compressed fish from a packet.

I just found out that my reservation 45052604 for October 10 is no good because the Holiday Inn in Warrensburg MO is not open yet. When I called to confirm I was told that it was my fault for booking online.

Then I was hung up on twice because they could not cancel this reservation so I will not be billed (even though the hotel is not open). The solution would be to rebook at another holiday inn but it will cost more money because there are no more rooms left that allow 5 people and I will have to book 2 rooms costing almost double what I can afford.

At this point I am very upset because I may not be able to go to my niece's wedding do to this screw up. And the worst part is that no one contacted me that this hotel was not open I just happened to see it online.

I had been at the Holiday Inn in Saunderstown, RI on two occasions before my latest booking, third visit Check in 9/12/19. When I made the reservation for the third visit, I specifically asked if the hotel restaurant was finished (the first two visits the restaurant was under renovation) and could we get a hot breakfast, I was assured we could.

When checking in, which took quite some time, I was informed the restaurant was not finished and there would be a cold breakfast, grab and go. In my opinion and other guests opinions, a sugar breakfast. I am a 76 year old man and while traveling from Oregon to Florida recently my domestic partner and I specifically chose Holiday Inn Express across the country and were very pleased until our stay in Vandalia Illinois on Sept. 11 2019.

I requested a handicap equipped room with a handicapped suitable shower. I left my handicapped lady partner in the room to shower while I went to pick up dinner and a few other items. When I returned to the hotel the automatic door rapidly closed and caught my heel causing me to fall, breaking bottles and damaging my packages.

W 36th St Miami on 15th-16th Sep2019. Worst experience ever! I have no complaints about the customer service and location, however the rooms were very dismal and musky (unlike other IHG properties). My mom and her two friends all over 80 years stayed in one room with no working telephone.

The front desk sent up their maintenance guy to fix the phone - he said it was working, but guess what??? Phone did not work! If there was an emergency, there was no way for my mom to contact anyone.

So disappointed with that property. Hardly likely that I would recommend it to my colleagues.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites White River Junction, Vermont 05001 on Friday and Saturday, September 13 & 14. Upon checking in I ask for a room where the AC worked good and the front desk clerk said they all are individual and go down to 64 and assured me i would not have a problem getting the room cold.

After being in the room for 3 hours straight and the temperature outside not very warm, we couldn’t get it lower than 69. When I complained and asked for a different room they said there were none. So I asked if someone could come and check the system and they said sorry we don’t have anyone but housekeeping here. Very disappointed.

I made a reservation online for a stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Socorro New Mexico. The reservation for a King room was made and confirmed six months in advance. We (my husband and I) arrived at the hotel today, 16 September, checked in, received our keys but found ourselves in a room with two double beds.

Went back down to the check-in desk to complain but was told by the desk clerk that hotel was full and “she” had changed our room type that morning. Not sure who she is but since I had a confirmed King room I find it beyond understanding why this person would take it upon herself to give away our confirmed room.

I stayed at the holiday inn on northline rd in southgate Michigan 48195. I checked in with my wife and our two children. When we checked out I forgot my prescription medication in a bag. I called back up and got no help so I went back up and someone stole all my medication and I am an epidemic and have seizures and a traumatic brain injury.

When I came back they charged me $250 for a smoking fee when we never smoked in the room. Maintenance took me back to the room and said powdered coffee creaming was ashes. I brought my cigar in the room after I smoked outside and a piece fell off.

I stayed in A Holiday Inn in Dover Delaware Dover downtown hotel on Friday the13 of September the staff was pretty much slow I had asked for an extra pillow it took a couple of hours to receive it.. 19, the purpose of this visit was to celebrate our Wedding Aviversary with friends who live near by. On entry to the hotel there were Wedding Guests congregated by the doors, some of whom were smoking. At check in we were allocated our room and after depositing our bags we left to spend time with our friends.

I had a 3 night stay at the holiday inn in Williamston starting on 9-10-19. I was greeted by the morning cook with an upset attitude about the previous morning guests not pushing there chairs back under the table once they were through eating.

As others starting coming in for their morning breakfast, they too were berated for their lack of respect. She went on to say she was going to speak her mind regardless. Very unprofessional, considering the guests is why she is there.

We originally booked through Superbreaks. Following their collapse we were advised by the hotel that we could have the rooms for the same price £255 per couple. We had 3 rooms for the weekend. I was advised that an admin cost of £60 would show on our booking confirmation however I was reassured that we would not be charged this.

I have just received my credit card statement and have been charge the admin fee which totals £180 I feel like Holiday Inn are trying to gain from the collapse of Superbreaks

I would just like to begin with, that I will never stay at a Holiday Inn, Holiday in Express ever again. I travel from Hawaii to the Bay Area four to five times a year. I always stay at the Oakland Airport Hilton.

I decided to try the Holiday Inn Express by the Oakland Airport. Keep in mind the flight lands at 12:35 am. I was traveling alone which I often do, I mistakenly got on the wrong shuttle. I went to the Holiday Inn by mistake.

I recently had a reservation at the holiday inn in marathon, FL, in July 2019. When I went to check in, somebody else had already checked in and was occupying my room. They did not require and ID or credit card to be shown when the other person checked in and refused to get them out of the room that I was supposed to be staying in.

The lady at the front was extremely rude and did not offer another room or any solution. I have called many times to get this issue resolved as I was charged for the stay but, never was able to stay there.

On January 22, 2019 I made an on-line reservation using a combination of points and credit card. 00 - appeared on my credit card on January 23, 2019. 00 - for the same accommodation at Staybridge at the Orlando, FL airport and can not get anyone in the IHG or Staybridge to rectify this situation after repeated phone calls.

I have made 4 phone calls to Customer (un)Service and have spoken to 9 different people during these calls and can not get anyone to "take ownership" of the double charges and get one of charges credited back to my credit card. Each time I call I get bounced around from person to person who is supposed to be able to fix these double charges - but the CS representatives all say they are not authorized to credit back to my credit card.

The folks at IHG are about to loose…

I need Help! While caring for an Alzheimer's Mother for 11 years, I accepted a request on my cell phone for a vacation in Gatlinburg almost two years ago. Unfortunately, a huge mistake. On August 3 and 4 2018, my husband, and 5 others stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago West O'Hare Airport Area. We had a great stay, wonderful service, the establishment was clean. We came home to Ohio telling all of our family and friends about the stay.

On Sept 7 & 8, 2019 my husband and I stayed again. We called ahead @ 2 weeks ahead to make reservations. We asked for extra towels, pillows and for a 1st floor closest to the exit room. (my husband is handicapped).

We called and attempted to get our room @11am when we reached Chicago. Was told sorry that is too early to check in, our rooms would be held till midnight on the 7th. Verbalized understanding and agreement. We arrived @ 6 and was given the room key for 403.

My supervisor reserved me a room at your Holiday Inn Express at 11728 N. Ambassador Drive; Kansas City, MO 64153 on Sep 10 to check out Sep 11 for training in Kansas City. Due to a death in my family, I had to cancel my training as the funeral is going to be on 9/11/19.

We are very surprised that with something such as a death in the family obviously something that is out of our control, we are still going to be charged for the room. We are a state agency and have numerous training sessions through out the year.

We have made note that the Holiday Inn Express locations have no compassion for emergency situations.

Upon arrival to get the decorations ready for the birthday dinner I noticed that the floors, tables, and restroom were dirty and it wasn't set up banquet style as I requested in which I called to make sure and

I also went by the hotel to confirm that everything would be ready as well it I was very disappointed when it wasn't and I had to set it up banquet style myself, plus the six keys that were given to me didn't work and I had to make three trips to get the correct key which took more time away from what I was doing.

Broken patio door, food in fridge, garbage under the bed, no pillow sheets, or comforter for the pull out couch, daughter was cold all night. said something and they did not even say sorry when we got the bedding for the next night we had to call three times because they kept coming up without something. bad place to stay.

Customer service system is structurally broken. So much so, that I do not expect and answer to this complaint.

The simple request for a phone number to a local Holiday Inn Express, exposed how the "computer system" and "call center" system is non functional. I resolved my issue by researching and getting the desk number and clerk, but the customer service system did not help in this. I continually got shunted to some call center person in the Caribbean, who I could not understand.

The complaint is this. Even calling the Atlanta Corporate offices, one cannot get a person in customer service in the United States to speak with.
