Neither of the people I've had contact with in Augusta Georgia office are mature or responsible enough to work at home. They're riding around running errands or they're out in their backyard screwing around with a grill or their bullshitting with family members.

I phoned ML at 609-818-8913 four times from Ireland on my mobile phone , looking for help with my account on Sat 7th March about 3pm GMT. I was made redundant from HP 4 years ago so was not sure of my Employee number After dialing Equity awards plan, I selected to speak to an operator and so dialled number 2 as I waanted to talk to someone about my online account.

First operator answered and explained i needed more info to verify my account. I rang back 2 more times and when I got through I told the female operator my name she just hung up the phone twice. I called Merrill Lynch for information about 529 plans in December 2019. I had a discussion December 12 with William J Sanford, and was given information on how to set up the account, but insufficient information about 529 plans.

Specifically, I was not told that I was getting a Maine plan, when I am an Illinois resident. In February, when filling out my income tax return, I found out that my account number was not eligible for Illinois tax benefits, because it wasn’t an Illinois plan with a specific name.

I spoke to a customer service rep on 9/9/2019 , her name is Kenya Brown. I wanted to buy my company issued stock that was vested and this transaction cannot be conducted on line. Ms Brown gave me instructions on what to do and I followed them to the letter.

Bottom line I dropped the money and form at at a Merril Lynch office but ML never placed my trade . When I called on 10/9/2019 to ask why my shared were not transferred to me I had to wait for return calls when an inquiry was done.

Bottom line I was told I never activated the trade which is not true , no one told me I was to cal, back after the money was dropped off and on top of that it seems that the ML rep should have contacted me if there was an issue.

My wife and I opened two accounts with Merrill Edge in December 2018, each for a significant sum of $250,000. The financial advisor was Shannon Nickel, Assistant Vice President at Bank of America, 2627 NW 43rd St. Gainesville, FL 32606. She assured us that the accounts would accrue a competitive interest rate, which was 2% at the time when the accounts were opened. They dismissed my account and no one from customer service can explain why. They ask me to send copy of my id to their fax and I did 3 times(they can't find it). Almoust 2 weeks after my account was dismissed I can't find anyone who can help me.

I called regarding a tax reporting question at 800-637-6326. Since I did not receive a Supplementary Tax Information form for 2018, I needed to determine the US Government Tax Obligations percentage for READY ASSET GOV LIQ FD, in order to complete my state income tax return.

The person that answered my call could not answer this question. I was persistent, so she put me on hold and still could not answer the question. She informed me that I need to speak to my tax advisor to get this information. This is ABSURD!

I'm currently with Merrill Lynch in Carmel and have been a client barely a month and am very unhappy with the overall service and advice I have received.

My financial advisor had to call an outside CPA to find out the maximum I might withdraw from my IRA per year without incurring any tax liability because Merrill Lynch does not deal with tax liabilities, my financial advisor citing federal regulations as the reason for this limitation. How can an institution five advice to a retiree and oversee his account without being concerned about taxes? He also told me that the $15,000 figure he received from the CPA is only an estimate or guess. He claims he has no better knowledge as to how to answer my concern.

If you want to be treated like a valued customer, stay away from Merrill Lynch. If you don't want to lose money because of delayed quotes, system downtime or just complete incompetence do not use Merrill Lynch. By far the worst "trading" platform in the industry.

The least knowledgeable and condescending customer service. Invest/trade anywhere else. You will be better off and will avoid unnecessary headaches and stress. Caveat Emptor.

On March 13 I mailed a deposit to Merrill Lynch at their 1995 University 94704 address in Berkeley California. I did not realize that they had moved their offices to 1111 Broadway 94607 Oakland Cal. That has been two weeks and the letter has not been forwarded from Berkeley to Oakland.

The letter contains a rather large deposit which I am awaiting to cover checks I need to write. Why has it taken so long for this check to be forwarded, and if not forwarded, returned to me? The Merrill Lynch address and my return address were both printed.
