My husband and I have enjoyed certain NBC shows for years, most recently the Chicago series on Wednesdays and Dateline. What we have noticed for quite some time and it’s getting worse (because we ARE aging and have age related mild hearing losses) is that your sound editing on your shows - especially prime time dramas- is terrible.
Your background music is extremely loud and if we had not adjusted the background settings on our television the dialogue would be completely obliterated. As it is, we miss large chunks of what is being said.
Also many of your shows sound like they have been recorded in a tunnel or barrel (and our non impaired friends and family agree as this is often a topic of conversation). We do turn on the closed captioning but it either lags WAY behind (especially…
