Oreck

Since 2005 I have been taking our vacuum an Oreck XL to Beach Vacuums at19730 Coastal Highway Rehobeth Beach, DE19971 phone# 302-227-3355. The problem is that they will charge me $90 for a service check without the original receipt. All my paperwork was in the pocket of the vacuum for all these years.

Not once had I ever been asked to show the receipt until now. The receipt is not in the pocket. All the other paper work is their just not the receipt. Called corporate and they told me this is the new policy.

Apparently no one keeps records. Neither the shop or corporate which forces me to spend an additional $90 on top of the over six hundred I paid for the vacuum. The reason I originally bought the vacuum was because of the 21 year warranty and free check up.

Very bad customer service…

On 2/3/2022 I ordered a Elevate Command Vacuum online from Oreck. It was "in stock", Payment was immediately taken by Oreck. Order 128205. After 6 weeks and several phone calls where I was told it was ready to ship each time, I gave up and got a vacuum locally.

On 3/17/2022 I called customer service and canceled the order. On 3/18/2022 I went on line to find order 128205 was still a order, so I had a online chat with Mary in customer service and she said she would cancel the order.

On 3/21/2022 I received a email from Mary telling me "the order is past the point of being cancelled", it has not shipped but still can't be cancelled. "I will have to refuse the package when it arrives". I won't be home to refuse it.

Today is 3/23/2022 and it still hasn't shipped but they can't cancel it??…

I took my Oreck vacuum to the Oreck dealer for service and the swapped my vacuum with another vacuum. I have an OreckXL U3840. Black. And they gave another old faded put vacuum that they said was brown. That was not my vacuum. They triesd to offer me some other old vacuum but they wee not mine. I would like my vacuum back. or I will have to buy another one.

This was the Tops Store in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Please attend to this.

Bought Oreck Gold XL a few years back in Naperville location. Store closed down and apparently all records destroyed and Oreck has no info about it. Trying to get it fixed but they want original receipt which I can't find.

Will have to pay for service even though this vaccum is suppose to have lifetime warranty.

Steam cleaning is what I prefer as it removes dirt completely from the floor. So I chose Oreck Steam mops as they are very effective. Leaves no chemicals and wont stain any clothing. The vapor chamber enables it for easy cleaning.

I only have one complaint, and that is that I have emailed several suggestions with Oreck customer service dept, and have never heard back. I love the vacuums though. The best part is that it is light weight. Easy to handle and move at every corner of the house.

I am satisfied with its performance and would definitely suggest this to anyone who believes in doing their household work themselves.
