My service was disconnected with out no reason , I called they said it’s a mistake ,, mistake!! Really, then called and had to spend 1 hour on phone to establish new service, and now I have to email all my documents back. I would like to get an explanation, a good one , other wise it means they don’t know what they doing

I’m truly not sure what has happened to the customer service for this company, but it’s terrible now. My family has had financial problems for the past few months and weee on the pay as you go plan. I got a payment deferral on my account to enable us to catch up.

Almost every single time I go to make a payment via the app when it shows my balance is still positive, I make the payment and I still get disconnected. After I make the payment on the app which shows a positive balance, I get a text that say I am negative.

Understand this is AFTER I make the payment from the app. 69 on the account and then was swiftly disconnected. I called to get it fixed and after speaking to 5 different people it was taken care of. Or so I thought.

I’ve been a satisfied Customer with Reliant Energy for 30 plus years, but I noticed a huge difference in your customer service recently. I relied on them on their expertise in choosing the best energy plan to fit my needs but was misled and as of today it’s gotten worse.

I agreed to a three year plan including the installation of a new Nest Smart Thermostat and was advised that it would be installed free of charge by Reliant. As of today I still have not received the thermostat or a call regarding the installation.

I have until November 13, 2022 to cancel the plan but don’t want to switch Energy Company. Please have someone to contact me that actually care about customer service and long time Customers of Reliant. Sincerely, Gustavia Johnson

I paid online on 9/26/22 and they took two payments when I called they said they would reimburse me within 10 days why did they take it in one second and it takes 10 days to give it back?

Today, my service was disconnected with 2 children in my home and senior citizen. I paid half my said balance owed but, no one text me and said I needed to pay the balance because my power would be disconnected today.

I would have borrowed the money to pay it. It’s way too HOT for this. I’m totally disappointed in reliant after all the years I’ve been with them. I don’t see their said appreciation as a customer. How HOT does it have to get before they listen to the weather advisories.

This experience has made us rethink living here in this area. Reliant doesn’t offer senior citizens discount other areas in texas does. I pray God have mercy on them.

Reliant sent the okay to disconnect my power due to my not being able to pay my bill in the center of a heatwave advisory in Houston Texas. I also have a one year old baby and this is against the law to disconnect during a heat advisory!

I was charged 2 Returned payment charges and 1 late payment penalty using the same online financial institution information used to successfully pay previous bills. When calling to dispute the charges I was declined reimbursement and directed to contact my financial institution.

My financial institution confirmed the error was with Reliant. Called back and was on hold 48 minutes , never transferred to a supervisor. The erroneous charges remain and the issue is unresolved.

Our meter reading has been erroneously estimated for the last two months. We have called Reliant twice to request that someone come out and read our meter. Each time we have been told that they can’t do anything as that we need to contact Teas-New Mexico Power.

When we call TNMP, they refuse to talk to us as state that a request for a meter reading MUST come through Reliant. In other words, we are getting a royal runaround from both companies. If we can’t get this resolved through you, we will contact the PUC and the Attorney General. William R. Farmer

First I didn't want to business with this company at all. I am only with this service because they were bought out by a perfectly work system (first choice power) and they're still my first choice. I been doing business with company for a month or two and it's been hell.

So currently my lights are off and yes I received a message that my account balance was low but not that it was approaching disconnection. Anyhow, I go online to put money on my lights (prepaid service) and the card wasn't being recognized.

That's the only card I use so, I was finding it difficult to understand why it wasn't going through. Well this wasn't the first time this has been a issue and seriously a inconvenient in my life. When I go to add money the system always say...

My account was closed by reliant on August 28th last year. I called several times and they only told me someone moved their service to my address, so they closed my account by force. I checked with my leasing office and no one was moving in. 28.

I was charged by my landlord for electric for a much higher rate now.

I have been with Reliant for over 10 years. I called into day to see what rate I can renew my contract at. Since I open the contract/account here in TEXAS and pay my bill in USD. I never expected a company that's has a call center/corporate office to be outsourcing jobs to Mexico City. I spoke to several agents in Mexico City that flat out refused to transfer me back to the States. Employee # 4425959 Lewis in Mexico City and Carlos who stated he is in the Irving office, who stated he was a manager but taking "calls do the volume" but doesn't have a direct line or an extension. So I could call back to tell him re-up my contract. I called BS on him. I have never been treated so poorly by Reliant in all the years I have been with you. Since you want to use USD to…

I had been with Reliant for 13 years. I am sick, lost my job and my husband... I asked for an extention for my bill until Friday, that would be 4 days. I would. Extention 38 dollars to extend it.

I had 15 Dollars In My account and I was told if I paid 9 dollars and some change I would be ok to call the next day and pay the remaining of the 38. I was told no... it would be.

Half of what I owed... Which for a small home was 400 dollars!!! I'm so devastated.

It has been almost a whole year that Reliant Security made a mistake on my bill and refuses to correct the problem. I have been sent annoying harassing letters threatening and eventually adding additional charges to my overall bill. As I have attempted to contact someone who can fix this problem i have wasting over 30 hours of my time.

I have spoken to over 25 representatives & managers to hopefully resolve this situation. Unfortunately it seems that Reliant Security has decided that even though they agree that they made this mistake they are still trying to make me pay some kind of extra fee.

The last Reliant Security customer service rep Shawn did a great job and he should be commended for his great customer service. I actually like Reliant Energy and have been with them for a long time…

00 now or a wait until December will be a little less. I been turning off one off my A/C units but is very hard with the hot temperatures we are experiencing . this contract was sign on March 1st.

00 using only less than 2,000. kWh more of electricity. this dishonest and tricky way of make contracts is awful.

Frankly, I'm very unhappy with Reliant. I had a Doctor's letter stating I had to have the electricity on until March 1 for health reasons. I worked diligently to get Reliant the letter and was told by reliant that everything was fine.

7th, my electricity was cut off and to even have lights I had to resubmit the letter, and was forced into some sort of payment schedule that I can not possibly make. On Wed, Feb 13th, I'm going in for another surgical procedure, I don't know the recovery time, but I haven't been able to work since Dec. 18, 2018 to present.

In addition, I was kept in the hospital under quarantine and was not allowed home until Jan. 1, 2019. When I got here, the heat had been on all of that time, there was no one else to use anything else.

I HAD A GUY COME AND INSTALL MY SECURITY SYSTEM WITH RELIANT. NOT ONLY WAS HE RUDE AND NOT FRIENDLY HE HAD THE NERVE TO USE MY BATHROOM AND TAKE A DUMP. HOW DISGUSTING, IM NOT SURE IF I WILL STILL WITH RELIANT SERVICES.

I been with Reliant Energy for 2 years and trust me it was really hard to pay on time cause i get pay once a month and don't get child support. I have been trying to change my due date to the 30th of each month they told me once i renew i can change it to the 30th. Finally my renewal was over feb this year. I called Reliant customer service number today and spoke with Cynthia in Mexico and she told me I can do it but would have to wait for two billing Cycles before it starts.
