This gym did false advertisement. They told me years ago I could cancel Anytime after a year without being responsible for my contract. I have called and went to this gym and they tell Me I have to pay 3 months if I want to cancel .

I explain to them I was moving out of the area asked me where and I told them and they said there is a gym 30 min from where you moving so I couldn’t cancel without paying 3 months ahead I’m not driving 30 min to go to a gym especially not retro fitness.

This is the worst gym I have ever signed up for . Staff are rude . I it’s not a friendly gym at all.

This gym was great with excellent staff when Henry was the manager there before it got one star from me with the new manager Victoria is horrible actually haven’t been in the gym for awhile my app was not transferred to my new phone ,so I told her my name she refused to let me in to workout. So I downloaded the app I told her I needed my membership # which she refused to give and advised me that I just need to put my email.

Which I complied and still was not able to get in a asked her if I’m active and current with my payment she replied yes , can I workout I’m pressed for time will make sure that app log in is taken care of another time she still refused to still let me workout with a nasty attitude these are the rules Sr. This is when I canceled my service will be going to another gym.…

My boyfriend was hired at your Park Slope Brooklyn location. His training was supposed to be 2 weeks - he got about 3 days worth. When he asked for help he was given an attitude and told he was shown things already- that he hadnt been.

All communication went thru a social media app and was inconsistent. He was very unprofessionally first removed from the group chat and then let go through a text message. You should really re-evaluate the people you have running that location.

You need employees to serve your customers

I am a Retro member. My home gym was Lumberton, NJ. Since Covid, I stop going to that location. I recently went to start back up and found that they were no longer in service. I did not get a message that the Lumberton location would close permanently or that my membership would be cancelled.

Not knowing it was cancelled I proceeded to go to my nearest Retro in Bordentown, NJ, that's when I learned that my membership was cancelled. They informed me to call the corporate office at 732-431-0062; however, they are not helpful because they insist they are not affiliated with other Retros and as such I had to call my Home gym to rectify my problem of reactivating my membership and

making Bordentown Retro my home gym. According to the Bordentown Retro, CORPORATE can reactivate my membership…

I had recently received a text stating that I was behind in my membership fees. I had been a member since the gym opened several years ago. Last summer I was forced to freeze my membership due to a surgical procedure done in August 2022.

Although my plan was to return the Covid mandates also played a role in postponing my return. I had contacted the Glendale location & they agreed to continue the freeze on my account. I was then charged on my credit card even though the freeze was in place.

I have not been using the gym facilities since August of 2022. When I visited Retro, the manager who did not identify himself stated that the only way to resolve this was to pay. So far I have received

I called to confirm gym hours over fear that the gym would not be open normal hours due to the over night winter storm. When staff answered the phone the told me they would be open normal hours (8am-5pm). I arrived 20 minutes later to a closed facility.

They could have saved me the trip if the staff would have told me there was a possibility the gym would be closing right after I got off the phone. Essentially they lied to me.

I would like to say the gym is clean and the staff are very nice and helpful... My only complaint is that there is no hot water most of the time it's been over a week I work construction and after I work out and sweat I need to take a shower before I go to work and I live one hour from the gym...

I've spoken to the front desk but it seems to fall on deaf ears... I don't feel it's fair that I pay monthly plus the service charge every year and this is the kind of service that is being provided...

My phone number is 8482182786. The gym is called Jersey City twin city retro fitness.. My membership was purchased in Middletown New Jersey. But do to my job locations constantly changing this is the gym I will be at for the next 4 months.

Then, He start yelling with a rude and disrespectful manner. I said that I was going to report him to the company.

How about buying some new equipment?... Manahawkin, NJ Retro is full of BS old shut equipment from over 15 years ago when they took over another gym... I owned 2 World Gyms, when our leases ran out we would lease new equipment..

Please see attached photograph of Daniel DeLuise. Daniel was receiving personal training today by a trainer named Ratta. Retro Fitness Glendale NY 65-45 Otto Rd Glendale, New York 11385. The trainer who states he was unaware that Daniel has autism overworked Danny without a break and without proper hydration.

Danny in turn almost passed out fell and had a serious blow to his head in the gym today. After which the trainer did not seek medical attention for Danny but instead sent Danny home with his aide. Daniel passed out on the way home and is now in an ambulance on the way to New York Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing Queens. This is unacceptable.

I would give it a rate of ZERO if I could. Management is awful. They switch everything up on you constantly. Trainers come and go. Owner is miserable to work for. Watch what you get billed for.

I’ve been a loyal patron of Retro fitness in Neptune for the past 10 years and up until recently I’ve not had complaints about the facility or staff.

However in the recent months conditions at the gym have been unacceptable. I got to the gym at 5am and there have been multiple occasions that I have arrived to the gym at the time it has not been opened and will not be opened for at least an hour.

I’ve had to drive to other gym locations because of this and I’m a Neptune resident. I pay my membership like everyone else and for the gym not to be opened at the time which is posted on your website and facility door is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I was treated very rudely and poorly by Mark an associate at Retro Fitness in New City. I have certified mail documentation indicating that ABC Financial received my cancellation notification 2 months prior to my end date. I was paid in full and yet I'm still getting harassing emails and text messages that I am not up to date with my membership payments.

I respectfully request that Mark be fired immediately for his rudeness and lack of customer care. I was hung up on and was harassed and I will not stand for that type of treatment. I will be paying very close attention to this manner and if the proper course of action is not taken then you will have a law suit on your hands.

I belong to your gym located on Union Turnpike in Forest Hills/Woodhaven NY since it opened approximately 1 1/2 years ago. In the last to months there has been a "stand-up" cable machine that has been out of order, no clips for the other cable machines requiring a member to switch them from machine to machine in addition to today the main cable station had one station inoperable. Further, the most frustrating problem is that for at least 3-4 weeks none of the TV's on the cardio machines work!!! This should not be occurring to a fairly new gym for the amount of membership fees that we pay!! Also the management is not present too often.

I am writing to you today to address some concerns I have with the Pearl River Retro Fitness location. I signed up in the fall during a zero registration fee promotion at the recommendation of my fiancée who is a member. For some reason I was charged $10 but didnt realize it until later on when I looked through my contract and billing. My fiancée attempted a few times to find out why but was always told “my manager” is not here as she goes at 4:30am. It was only $10 so we just dropped it. I don’t want to give you one start .I had the worse experience with you guys .The people at the front desk . I personally they al young with out any experience.The always taki g to each other and when a have any question they act like I was bothering them .I want to cancel my membership and now you guys told me to wait to my one year anniversary.Now I call and they told me I have to paid another mother .I will not recommend this gym to anybody.

My name is Anthony Esposito. I'm an exercise physioloist. I used to be a member of retro fitness on Welsh Rd in Northeast Philadelphia. It was closed suddenly today 2/28/2019. Alot of people were left in the dark as to where to go next.

Yes the gym did say go to your location at Franklin Mills in Northeast Philadelphia. How can a former member who just canceled his membership today due to the gym closing get to reopen the retro on Welsh Rd and run it better for your corporation. My number is 2674383526.

i have been a member at retro in northeast phila, for over 10 years. The gym is run by 2 managers who are never there, therefore they have teenagers running the gym. Do not even have enough space to complain.

The gym is dirty, equipment stays br oken for weeks. The manager is a kid, an absolute disgrace, how the gym is run. I will be leaving soon. if you care about your center, hire a manager who has a clue.

its been like this for a few years. The staff tries, but i blame your managerial staff. i have been in the fitness industry for 30 years. i work as a sheriff, and would like a response asap.

I have been a member of Retro for at 4 years. I am paying for two accounts. I have tried unsuccessfully to cancel my brother Champ Osman’s account for a year. I did what was asked of me. I typed a letter to cancel his membership so that the money would stop coming out of my account. Still paying for him!

I’m so frustrated with this process that I want out as well. Y. Can someone help me with this matter?

I go to Retro Fitness in Concord Mall - Wilmington,DE. It has gone down hill in the past year. The OWNER could care less about the facility!!!!!! Seems like it's about to close the way he takes care of it.

Can NOT keep a staff and the worst is you pay for the vip membership and the tanning booths don't work and if they do - the bulbs are burnt out and won't replace. The BIGGEST mistake - is how he cut staff as he says there's no money in the budget.

This past week he let go of his BEST trainer!!!! CK. now - I know for a fact - a lot of members will be leaving. Very SAD!!!! Poor judgement. He NEVER said one bad thing about retro or the owner but the manager would tell the members everything about the owner!!!!

In 2015 I signed up for personal training sessions, at first the sessions were going very well and I was seeing improvement. Unfortunately I injured my shoulder and then my knee and have been unable to train. Before the injuries, I had hit a plateau but my trainer cancelled sessions or would not give me their attention for the full length of the session.

When I inquired about getting a refund for the remaining sessions, I was told that this was not policy of Retro Fitness. I dread going to the gym now and knowing that no one is willing to work with me to determine if I can get refunded is very disheartening.

I will most likely file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

My fiancee and I own a business. I also work as a Manager at T Mobile. I signed up for Retro a few months back, I invited my fiancee and a group of 3 friends to join us. On 4/27/15 at 32-32 49th St ASTORIA NY 11103 under the Management of Ehsan Bejori, we were in the middle of working out. I happened to be lifting weights when a very rude and nasty young lady went up to me and started cursing me out asking me to leave because my payment was overdue.
