I received a letter dated February 2023 from tiaa informing me that Quinnipiac University was making changes and I would have to call tiaa o or after March 6th or my monthly payments would be discontinued the week of March 20. I called and talked to a woman who had no clue of what was happening and she made me hang on the phone while she tried to find out what to do.

She finally came back with no good explanation except for me to call back on March 25. Since March 25 was on a weekend I called on March 24 and talked to a gentleman who also had no clue of what to tell me except he said I am scheduled to get my April payment.

I asked again are you sure I will get this payment and he assured me. I waited until April 5th and checked my bank account since the first was on the weekend and I was…

In the past nine months, I have to call or write in order to get my dividends. We realized a problem had arisen about the payment of dividends last August. We came to understand that the dividends were not being paid regularly as they should .

Two days ago w discovered we had not been paid our dividends and we called. But you did not pay us all the money you owed us. We want you to investigate the years August 2020 and June 2022. We believe you failed to pay us the dividends for this time.

In November I asked for a retirement income illustration to see what payments would be for interest only payments. I was going to buy a home and needed this income to qualify. I then asked to have the paper work sent to me in order to start the process.

Which I completed but did not receive any payments until February 28. The problem was the payment was wrong. I was told I needed to complete 2 forms to get the money but TIAA only sent me one. I then completed the second form and told it would be 30 days before I would receive the money.

Two weeks later I received letter stating there was a problem. I called and talked to someone who had me on hold for an hour reviewing everything and was told after that hour everything was fine. On Feb 28th I called when we did not receive the money to…

I cannot get my required distribution, the school i worked for has no record because they changed administration and your TIAA reps have had me fill out four request which have all been denied by the school. Your reps told me they would take care of it under the abandoned record and would have a representative in the area look into it and promised action but I just keep doing the same thing over and over and no one will help solve this problem. Your company has been no help.

I have submitted an application to obtain benifit funds that were submitted to pay to the estate of my brother Raymomd Leroy Bending jr. who was declared deceased on August 29, 2023. His death was due to homicide. I was told several times over the phone that TIAA wanted a police report. I was told by the FBI Special Agent and Yakama Tribal Police that they could not hand out a report on an open case. I have nothing but rude treatment by the people that I speak to on the phone. I am not the person who murdered my brother . I need substantial answeres from TIAA. Please call me at 509 314-9547.

I am an authorized user on my ex husband’s account. His name is Michael Watkins. I called last week to find out what his RMDs are for this year. A very helpful person told me all I needed to find out, including the three RMDs that are usually taken out in October of each year. He gave me the exact figures and told me that I could withdraw the amounts earlier than October if necessary. All fine so far.

I needed to withdraw the RMDs yesterday, so I called tiaa for what I expected to be a very quick transaction. I started the call at 8:23 am and ended it after 9:00 am. My father passed away on July 20, 2022 due to complications with covid and my brother passed away on August 29, 2022 due to homicide. In December I submitted the application for payment to my brother's estate. In January 2023 I was informed that there would be a required investigation by TI AA due my brother's death being a homicide.

This is to supposedly determine that I did not cause my brother's death. The FBI and Tribal investigation has stated I am not a suspect. I was initially told that the investigation would commence two weeks ago. I have waited two weeks but have not been informed of any progress.

I am complaining because TI AA appears to be doing nothing. I have the right to speak to an investigator

I have a life insurance policy with TIAA #05012622. On 1/17/23, I spoke with two agents (Rebecca, who kept me on hold for 7 minutes, and then Michelle) to request that my policy coverage be reduced from $500,000 to $250,000.

Michelle told me she would email the form to me. The next day 1/18/23, Michelle called and said she could take the request over the phone, and did so. She assured me this would be taken care of by 2/1/23.

Absolute nightmare. Would give zero stars if available. Simply trying to get my 403(b) RMD payout with the withholding that I want (above the minimum). Different answers from different reps and the top-level resolution guy expresses his frustration in dealing with the tax department that does not understand their own W4P and W4R versions of the IRS withholding forms.

It is a different nightmare each year and every year is worse than the last.

Separated from employer and filed to get my funds 12/22/22. Employer verified severance 1/4/33. As of 1/30/23, STILL NO MONEY. Their latest excuse is they have to figure out how much of the interest they owe me, as i was not vested.

They’ve been working on that for a week. Have they never done this before??? We are talking funds less than $2,000. Incompetence atvits worst. I hope they rot in hell.

I was misled about the amount of a monthly annuity payment given a quote which is $175/month lower than what they are now paying. The quote was given without any indication that it was an estimate or might differ from the actual amount.

Furthermore, the actual amount was posted on my page within hours of my sending in the contract, suggesting that knowledge of the actual amount was clearly available. 00 of the difference per month. " I highly doubt the interest rate change 6% from Nov. to Dec.

And are they saying that the amount quoted to me in mid-November was 6% higher than December's rate, and then why are they using December's rate to give me a quote in November? I feel misled and see this a fraudulent behavior, which given TIAA's track record is hardly surprising.

TIAA has consistently blocked my attempts to withdraw a yearly amount from my annuity held there. I have been working on this since late November. TIAA, when asked to mail some forms to me didn’t use overnight or 2-day delivery but used regular mail which took 7 days.

Once the forms were completed, including one from the state of Florida, nothing has happened. Everything was in place as of December 11, and despite three phone calls from me, nothing. Those I speak with apologize and make promises. Still nothing. I feel held captive.

Is TIAA in such financial trouble that it needs my pitiful annuity in its coffers?

Updated our life insurance info with someone else and over 6 months of calls with promises of apologies and fixing compromised data there has been nothing. Our investment advisor also employs someone whose only 50% time purpose is to fix tiaa cref errors. So two sides of huge company with horrible customer service

I checked your website to see if I could change the state for withholding for 2022 for my RMD. It told me I should call and speak to a representative. I waited until 8am ET and called. A man came on who I could not hear well who seemed to be adjusting headset.

I explained what I wished to do. He did not seem to know what to do. He put me on hold 3 times. After 20 minutes I asked to speak to a supervisor. I waited a long time and finally some by the name of Shannon Thomas came on phone.

I told him the same thing. He indicated I could do it on line. By now after more than 25 minutes, I could no longer tolerate this kind of inapt service. I hung up and called again. i started a new job in february 2022, i have been trying to roll over my funds from Fidelity to TIAA. I sent in the necessary transfer forms, i waited a few weeks and never heard from them, i called a month later and they could not find my transfer forms.

They sent a new set of forms, thankfully i made copies of the originals, i submitted the forms again, i called a few weeks later, i was told they have my forms, i should mail them the checks to transfer my funds, i sent the checks and called back to confirm.

Poor customer service. I have bern trying to resolve issue regarding my now deceased cousin. 5 years ago and benefiary issue since May of 2021. I feel communication was very poor. I was told I was 1 of 2 beneficiaries and was sent forms to submit.

oops you are not a beneficiary and we can no longer speak to you. I wanted to provide names of possible beneficiaries so we can finally bury my cousin. The TIAA reps I spoke to ere harsh, condescending and lacking in empathy.

I received an email from my wealth manager, Brian Gabel, stating that I could transfer funds from money market account into TIAA Stable Value account.His email stated that one can withdraw from the Stable Value account at any time, unlike the annuity account. He further stated that the option had become available because some members were losing money in the money market.

I read the page describing the fund on the first click of the change investments account. I moved money from my money market into that fund.

There was no warning of the trap in the further page description of that account. if I want out of this Stable Value fund, I can transfer only to a non competing fund and must keep in non competing fund for 90 days. That should have been disclosed that in the email rather than…

They are thieves. Retirement funds invested for years. Time to take it out? non-responsive. Filed a complaint with a regulatory agency no response. I would rather invest with Bernie Madoff. He is less of thief than those fools. I am working on a lawsuit now to get the money.
