I booked an Alaskan cruise in 2019. Due to Covid it was rescheduled several times. I received a phone call in April that my cruise for June was suspended. No reason for the suspension was given. Since Covid restrictions have been lifted and they have had my money for over 2 years I followed the instructions on their phone message and submitted a request for a refund.
The phone message stated that I should receive a response in 48 hours. I submitted my email on April 13th. I waited about 5 days and when I didn’t hear anything I called and spoke to someone who told me that the email had been passed on to a supervisor.
I still didn’t hear anything. The following week I called again and that person said that it was given to a supervisor that day. Still heard nothing so called for a 3rd time.…
PROBLEMS WITH YMT
1. The advertisement of the trip showed us stopping at St John’s Newfoundland, but the description was for St John’s , New Brunswick. We were not told about the “misprint” when we booked. When we called after one of our group noticed the description was wrong for Newfoundland we were told “yes that is a misprint”. The Newfoundland stop was one of the big selling points when we were inviting others on the trip. 2. The majority of the group booked in August 2018 and Lily said she would add Northern Lights excursion to all our invoices. Later we found some had it and some did not. 3. We were told that all we needed to do was to invite the people. They were to call Lily and say they were in our group. YMT would take care of the rest. Months after booking, some people were…
My complaint would be there are not more river cruises available. I just booked my third for October 20, this will be two this year and one in 2018. The combination of land tour and cruise is the perfect way to see Europe.
So far all the trips have been as advertised from the activity levels, professional tour guide to the hotel accommodations.
My sister and I recently booked the Rhone River Cruise Tour to France. When I called I booked it for the both of us. They messed up the entire booked information. My sister and I have taken 5 trips with YMT Vacations and each time we had problems with the original reservation.
I gave them all the information that was needed and I asked them to send the reservation information to my sister. They sent her information to my address instead of hers. I sent her the info that came to me by mistake and I told her to call YMT and get it straightened out. 95.
We do not deserve this kind of treatment from your representatives. I looked up the complaints against your co and there are many. Now I know why. She asked to speak to a supervisor but was told there was none available.

YMT Vacations will sell you an insurance policy when you pay for your trip. Then when you have an emergency and can't go because of an emergency operation just before the trip, they only pay you back one quarter of your trip cost even with a doctors letter. This is a total scam IMO.
