My name is Sheria Winstead-Campbell and I am sending this email because my account was sent to collection .I held an account with ADT in 2018 at the residence, 4411 Saint Thomas Ave Baltimore MD 21206. The security system was setup in the residence as a business. The owner of the property was Bay Property Management LLC, I was the manager of the business and my partner’s name was Cathryn Johnson. I was unable to open the business because of the condition of the property. The property management group Bay Management refused to fix a leaking roof, gutter, exposed windows, plumbing and pipe issues, pest, and exposed electrical wires. I had to hire an attorney, to terminate the two lease between me and Bay Property Management LLC.

My 10-year-old DVR was recently replaced. I downloaded app for cameras remote access. The app would freeze my computer and my phone. I had to uninstall the app. Called ADT sales department a month ago for a different DVR. They promised to find a solution and NOTHING!

Called 10 days ago again. Asked the representative to pass my complaint to the sales department's supervisor. Still nothing. I have no remote access to the cameras in my grocery store, none of the passwords work to access the recordings, but I still get my monthly bill.

Resolve the issue fast or cancel my account.

We were scheduled to upgrade our system today between 12:00 - 5:00. No phone call, no contact to let us know they weren't coming. This is the SECOND TIME this has happened for the same service! It's my opinion that the people responsible for this horrible treatment should be FIRED. We sat for 5 hours, waiting, two different times! We had to call them to find out no one was coming! ADT will steal your prepaid funds if you cancel their service. Our office is investigating their unethical and maybe illegal practices in the hopes of finding other customers that have been defrauded by the company, then filing a class action suit against them. ADT could care less.

Once you are no longer a customer, they wipe your records out and will not repay any funds that they took from you.

April 13 had appt at my home for ADT upgrade to wi-fi. Technician completed the work. I later noticed the keypad backlight was not on. The functions were there and it worked properly. I call ADT the next day to inform them of problem.

They were unable to schedule a return call for over 2 months! Yesterday, June 16 the service person arrived. His work order did not state the type of keypad I had. Upon examining it he decided I needed a NEW pad, which he did not have in his truck.

He was able to contact another service person who did have one and my service person had an item HE needed so he came to my house and they exchanged items. My service person checked everything working properly and left.

My family own a small business in Washington DC and ADT is and has been our alarm security provider for the last 18 years. During the last 18 years we had a mutual relationship. Well, what I experienced in April 2021 was unbelievable and shocking.

A salesperson called Hamid Mohmand who was new and inexperienced phone salesperson pressured me in getting 4 bullet camera and DVR for $404. Since I have been with ADT for 18 years I regarded them with confidence. Thus, I provided my Credit Card to Hamid.

The next step was installation which was not completed as planned due to installer with muscle pain from a motorcycle accident. Thereafter, I was informed that I have a 36 month contract at $56 per month. I was shocked and could not believe it.

I have received numerous phone calls and emails about the need to upgrade my system or it will be disconnected yet every time I try to contact them I am put on hold and transferred to several different people numerous times. I am never able to talk to the same person twice.

Two months ago I was able to schedule a service appointment and one hour before the tech was to arrive he called to cancel because he didn’t have the part. Today I got another threatening letter that I will be disconnected in one week if my system is not upgraded

I've been a customer for over 11 years. Recently I have been having issues with my system.

First of all, the wait time to speak to someone is extremely long. I experienced this 2 weeks ago when I had an issue and today. This is totally unacceptable. The customer service representatives are not at all friendly or knowledgeable.

The questions they ask are just annoying and dumb. I am very disgusted with ADT! It seems that they are always seeking an opportunity to get money from you even before the problem has been identified.

Never refer families to ADT.

ADT should properly train technician how to communicate and highlight contract facts with clients. They should not be dishonest about terms just to get a sale.

Clients should not have to discuss the account with multiple agents to finalist or make changes to account. (ADT rep, then ADT account manager, after the discussion with the account manage, they will reach out to the branch). The branch information will not be shared with the client. The branch have 24 to 48 hours to reach you.

When the branch do not follow up, the same procedure repeated (rep, account manger, they notify the branch) again! and again! and again! Informing you now only the branch can make changes to the account. But according to the website clients can contact customer service. Clients…

Wow what a scam of a company. Extremely disappointed. I have the alarm and cameras and time and time again did I call them and it just got to the point that I stop paying. They told me time and time again that a area manager would call and try to remedy the situation.

I have a system that uses a Command Control Panel. The backup battery needs replaced. No one at ADT seems to know what battery this unit requires. The last rep I talked to was kind enough to send two different battery packs, but neither one is correct.

I purchased the Blue ADT because I was told there was a company that would install it. The charges from the company that I was given after I received the merchandise was ridiculous. I then canceled and after 3 phone calls I finally received the form to mail it back.

The post office sent me a form that it was delivered on April 14 by someone one named Karen. I then called to see when I would receive my refund. I was told 14 days. After 14 days I called back.

I was told it would be 14 working days and that would put it on May May 4th. The day your representative gave me. I then called back today and was told that you did not receive it until April 21 and that the post office lied to me and my refund would be available on May 12. This is totally unacceptable.

When I signed up for ADT Blue, the draw was that they did not have contracts, I was told to just type my name on some forms by the person signing me up and come to find out a year later, they had me sign a 36 month contract I would have never agreed to, since I'm military and always moving.

Not only that, but all my battero for my equipment shipped as dead or dying. Tried to talk to someone in customer service named Katherine and she refused to let me talk to anyone but her and told me she could trace my ip address to confirm it was me who signed the docs and honestly that came across as both threatening and slimy.

I have an alarm set to get rid of this contract first opportunity, but in the meantime, I will tell literally everyone I can about how bad this experience was.

After many service calls, my cameras still don’t work. When I asked to get out of the contract, I was told that I have to pay $1600.

Misleading their Customers. Call for assiatnce, good luck! 42! But with a 3 year Contract. Unreliable, their system goes off constantly. I called ADT because they are Blue-by ADT, therefore they should be able to help you. No they said they have nothing to do with their accounts!

Figure that, Blue by ADT but they have nothing to do, nor they have access to their account. Don't go for it. Go elsewhere. You will be stuck with them for 6 years for lowering your bill and slickly sliding in 3 additional contract years.

Lost job. Had to move. Was a loyal customer for 10 years. We moved to leasing a home, where we could not have alterations to the home. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the contract with a year left on it. Could not transfer service.

ADT still charged me 586 $. No forgiveness from their part. Not very understanding. Never late nor missed a monthly payment. We feel the company should be forgiving in these situations. Yes, we did break the contract, but there was extenuating circumstances.

We will not be using ADT again, in the future, and we highly recommend to others to use a company that is more customer friendly.

Worse, they never called to say they were not coming so we went to the site and wasted our time as we waited and waited and waited. This is not a trustworthy company.

My complaint concerns overpayments to ADT from October 2009 to April 2019. This contract was cancelled on October 09 via telephone call from Vanis Daniels. Years later while examining bank records, he realized that ADT was continuing to deduct payments for service.

Your company is NOT Deaf friendly. I asked for strobe lights. They used different light bulb. I was stuck with you for 2 years on contract. I was trying to get more information on video cameras. And tried to request strobe lights. No one was listening. I tried to ask David Steffens your ADT employee. I don't think he knows his right hand from left hand. He never answered my questions. I asked for his supervisor's name. No response the last 24 hours.

On July 7, 2020 at appx Noon and ADT service representative came to my home to check my service. We had a new door installed and we stopped receiving alerts after the door was installed. The representative asked if he could use the bathroom and my husband allowed him to do so.

The man used my bathroom for a very long time and there was a very unpleasant smell permeating in my foyer and my home office which connects to the bathroom. In fact, I am working from home and was in my office, I had no idea he was in the bathroom until the smell became unbearable.

Would have given a 0 but no level that low. Was considering an ADT system and was speaking with Rob Murren 843-685-5005 and attempting to work out some issues reference installation. Today a Matt Abtull 224-531-1368 showed up and said this was his area.

when I asked about install and the previous person (Murren) he stated "he has only been doing this 3 weeks and was a Hot water heater salesman prior. Abtull had other non flattering comments about Murren. Per Abtull his supervisor is stacy if I want to verify this information.

71. From the moment the doorbell was installed it worked intermittently. I’ve had the installer plus two additional service technicians to my home replacing the camera on a minimum 4 separate occasions. Multiple times the installer, Otis Burrell and technician, Patrick Riley, from ADT’s New Jersey office, informed met they require 12 volts to properly power up the camera.

I loss the black key that controls you system,. I called ADT to ask if they can inactive the key. After being transferred to three wrong areas I was told they can not inactive the key And that a technician would have to come out for 169.00. Which is outrageous. I have professional experience with ADT for almost 35 years. All not good inc!uding card access, executive alarms, etc...

When we purchased a new home we were overwhelmed with offers from numerous ADT providers, subs I am guessing.

We were initially given great advice from Amber G. at AD T Safe Haven .. All nice and accomodating. The installer was nice and professiona!. He installed the panel and door contacts and gave a summary of what would be done for the cameras. I have two cameras--Street Camera and side camera that give a black image at night and don't always record during the day. I have called at least 2 dozen times about these cameras. What can be done? I'm continuously told that I have too many cameras but ADT sold me the cameras and put them up.

I'm also told that the wifi signal is too weak. I have no choice. There is only one Internet provider in my area and yes, I have learned how to reboot the system when the Internet goes down. Again can these cameras be replaced?

If i could give zero stars, I would. System was installed and within 24 hours it was not working. Called for service. Had to wait a week for a weekend appointment and then it was a no show/no call. Then i made another appointment and was told someone would confirm my appointment and nobody did.

I have spent hours waiting and hours on the phone with reps who put me on hold repeatedly and hope I will hang up. Nobody takes responsibility. This is a big fat rip off and I will tell anyone I know that ADT is not reputable.

I will also use social media to get the word out about this. This is so unprofessional.

We activated our ADT security system on our about August 8, 2019. We had issues with the system from the onset. We had innumerable contacts with our ADT technician in an attempt to resolve these issues. Consequently, our system was largely dysfunctional throughout out initial 90 days.

We could only arm the system when we expected to be away for extended periods of time given the innumerable false alerts when we were home. He had given us his cell number and had requested that we contact him if we had any issues.

The issues persisted until we finally contacted ADT 800# on November 8, 2019. An appointment for a technician to come to the home was scheduled for November 11, 2011. The visit was supposed to be at no cost per my November 8 conversation with ADT.

I have been an ADT customer for at least 10 years. The bill has consistently gone up on a yearly basis. The increase is light enough as to not to really create a burden but quite frankly from the time that I started I think it has more than doubled. I made the fatal mistake of going on automatic billing with ADT. I don’t usually scrutinize Credit card statement but this month I saw that they billed my account twice. I have been ADT customer for 15 years. My home land phone was disconnected since my husband left on February 2018, and ADT knows the alarm system in my house is not circular and it is disconnected. During the 20 months period I didn't receive any call or letter from ADT, but the bill continue to send to my home for 20 months.

I filed a claim over a month ago for the wall oven in my home. The service company came out to inspect and tried to repair. They were not able to repair. Your employee called and advised the stove was repairable.

My wife has been on the phone for one hour trying to get a date for service that was ordered over a week ago. She has been passed between multiple people with no problem resolution. We have had ADT home security install at our home for several years with no problems with the system.

However, trying to get some system updates has convinced me that ADT is not the company it us to be. With the current poor service I would recommend people select a different alarm company

We cancelled your service in April . We have called ADT on many occasions and been told this is an error, but low and behold here comes another bill. Just two night ago I got a phone call stating we did not respond to a test that was conducted on our system.

Please call the office for a repair person. The key pad was removed in April , I mean taken off the wall. The only reason we stayed with you was because of the contract. But as soon as we could we cancelled.

Pulse Camera Protection On 8-2-19 an unknown person entered our office in a threatening manner while I was out of the office. My female assistant was the only person in the office at that time. After repeated commands for him to leave our premises and refusing and threatening her, police were summoned ASAP.

We were ADT customers for years, sold our home and contacted ADT to cancel service. The ADT rep told us that we had no contract in place. Awesome! Still had to pay for 30 days advance notice, were told we'd get a prorated bill.

When we received final bill, they tacked on nearly $300 in cancellation fees. NOT AWESOME! When we called to protest - the rep offered no apologies, no explanation - basically demanded that we pay the fees or sign a new contract.
