I keep trying to place order online at the aeroplan e store using my points and they keep canceling my order about 10 times now I've sent emails asking why they keep doing this they never respond the one time they responded the person said they will look into this and I never heard from them again

I made an on-line purchase using my aeroplan points on July 4, 2023. My order was rejected immediately. I called Aeroplan and was told my account was put on hold because I have not redeemed my points for one year.

The agent told me that my account can be restored after 10 business days. I waited for 16 business days and went on-line to do the same purchase again. I ordered an Amazon $100 e-gift card, order #AC47967072. This time, my order was rejected again.

I called Aeroplan trying to find out why my account was not restored after 10 business days as promised. The agent told me that she cannot solve this issue and transferred me to another department. There, I was put on hold for over 2 hours and no one ever came to the phone before the line was disconnected.

Aeroplan telephone answering system is not managed by a human being. Whether it is to book a new flight, or to change an existing flight to to get things corrected, the automated system's response is something like, "I am sorry I cannot connect you". It is a shame to call Aeroplan as a Canadian outfit, and I rate Aeroplan as the worst frequent flier outfit in the entire world.

Show me (not tell me) how to get to talk to a live person.

I was not given my points for 2 segments with a Star Alliance member. I filed the missing points form and got a response they were looking at my case. It's been over two months with no response. When i try to call i can never get through to anyone. Terrible customer service

My account was compromised in January 24 and again in Feb 24I have called several times, with a promise that my points would be reinstated by last Sunday, March 26 2023

I was supposed to receive lounge passes on my aeroplan account as a result of my spending on my TD Aeroplan Visa Business Card.

However, I attempted to download the QR codes for use in the maple leaf lounge on my flight today. There were no codes, I called the Visa company who said I should have 3 passes and was told to call aeroplan, despite 3 calls and over 2 hours of waiting I managed to get through. The aeroplan rep could not help, citing they cannot tell if I have lounge passes or not and to all the credit card company. I called the CC company who told me to call aeroplan again. This time I could not get through. Suffice to say I did not get to enjoy a lounge visit

I have called there a dozen times trying to talk to an agent and no matter what I say to the robot I cannot speak with an agent. I have tried asking for an agent, saying my mother died, tried to book a fictional flight, offered to buy a million points but no way am I speaking to an agent.

For well over a month, it's been impossible to book an Air Canada flight using Aeroplan points, whether on the internet or by phone. A n internet verification code either never arrives or arrives too late to be used. Aeroplan's main number 800-361-5373 leaves the caller on hold for hours.

A secondary number 888 974 0292 was answered, but you are referred to a third number 888 247 2262, which gets answered, but they are not trained on handling Aeroplan points. We were so desperate to get our flight booked we paid $417, and were told we would have to pay for out bag at the airport.

00, and our baggage should have been free. We demand a full refund for all our costs. The only thing that came free was the hours and hours of frustration. Shame on Air Canada, and shame on Aeroplan.

Please see the following email from Aeroplan dated February 5, 2019 where I was advised that I had 12 000 miles. Since then I have never received any correspondence from Aeroplan. When I do a search on my account it indicates I have 0 points. Please make the necessar adjustment, on my account as I have worked hard to accumulate these points/miles.

Why when you book a complete trip through aeroplan premium economy, then you try and charge for an upgrade on the first leg of the flight!!!! Not cool, stop nickel and diming us! Just remember we do have choices for our international flights!!!

It is impossible to get in touch with them. The phone number goes to an automated agent, once you pass that, the waiting time is always ridiculous, 30 min, 50 min. They never answer you and the call just drops.

I have received by far the worst customer service from Aeroplan employee's. I waited on hold for over an hour on Oct 23rd,2022 to be told that my request will take over 3-4 business days. I then called the next day and waited for 1 hour and 55 minutes and the representative was extremely rude and when I requested to speak to the supervisors I was told "they will tell you no different".

After speaking with the supervisor Sandy - who advised me that she has put a rush on my request and will contact me before end of day ( October 24,2022) - I never received any calls or any update on my request. We just lost our house in a house fire.

2 months prior we used all of our points on a few household items. We contacted aeroplan to see if they would consider even giving us some of our points back as insurance doesn’t cover even half of our belongings.

The rep that I spoke to was not only completely heartless but couldn’t give it a single thought. His response “talk to insurance”

We don’t expect people to replace the items but a bit of help or maybe some compassion would have been nice.

Thanks aeroplan. You made the decision to get rid of everything aeroplan related easy.

I have a few complaints:

1. I paid almost a $1000 for points and I just learned (with no notice from Aeroplan) that they will expire on October 3rd if I don't buy or use points. I think you should refund the money back if you expire those points.

2. I haven't booked in a while and when it says the extra cost is $54 and another $110 when I book to only find out the actually cost is more than $400 due to transportation cost. This is immoral. The cost should be laid out before I even decide which level of service I want.

I am so disappointed. I am not sure where your rave reviews are coming from Maybe people don't actually look at what they paid.

In order to keep my points I did buy something on Amazon I really didn't need. I am not sure that I even selected something that was eligible.…

This company cannot offer normal services and completely disregard its customers. It feels like a company in a third world country. It is impossible to reach them on the phone and when you do, they hang up on you! No email address so they make sure you can never reach them.

I booked a flight from Yellowknife to Edmonton (round trip) for my husband and I using points.

When I went to cancel the flight, I looked at the invoice and it did not show the $315 I was going to be charged to cancel. It just showed me that I was going to receive my points and cash back.

When I called Aeroplan to explain this she said that it was not necessary to show that I was going to be charged this. Also, she said once it was cancelled there was no option to change the flight as I saidthat I would have just changed the flight ot something else if it had shown me that that fee was going to occur.

I booked an Aeroplan Rewards flight Moncton to Rome business class in two segments (2LEA8B) Boston-Lisbon-Rome via TAP and (3K7OOY) Moncton-Montreal-Boston. These arrangements were quite satisfactory until TAP cancelled the original Lisbon-Rome flight and substituted a later flight with a layover in Lisbon in excess of 4 hours.

Subsequently I contacted Aeroplan and a very helpful agent cancelled 3K7OOY in its entirety and provided me with a revised 2LEA8B itinerary all with Air Canada. The Moncton to Montreal segment was in economy because there was no business class section on that particular flight which is usually the case in Moncton.

I was also quite happy with these arrangements until I received a change of itinerary from Air Canada advising me to confirm etc. When I checked the seats…

Aeroplan is a very bad point redeem system. firs of all. we book flight through aeroplan, after one day, Air canada reply email with changing my flight. I try to call Air Canada for change back my flight due to we have group of friend fly together.

it took me 2 hour for their call back, then they reply, I can not change flight due to booked by Aeroplan point redemption. Air Canada suggested I have call Aeroplan to change. FINE, then I call Aeroplan customer service 1-800-3615373. ).

so far my problem still there and no solution. their excuse is high volume of call. I think no one can tolerate this worst service, ( three day consecutively with 2 hour no response), even though they do not has any complain channel.

just want to know any other method / channel we can escalate this…

Air Canada changed my flight resulting in a 6 minute layover. I received an email saying that there have been changes to my flight which will result in missing my connection. I then have the option to view / review flights.

I clicked the change / view flight options and I am unable to change the flight that has the 6 min layover - it says I must call in. as I'm typing this. My only other option online is to cancel my flight. I am disgusted.

In order to have activities during the 12 months period, I booked an Air Canada flight traveling on May 16 2020 from LAX to YYC, and a return flight on Jun 3. I planned to have the mileage earned on the May 16 flight to serve as an activity prior to the May 22 expiry. Due to the COVID19 situation, Air Canada canceled my flight on May 16. I have been trying to contact your 800 number for 2 weeks. The voice prompt asks for my aeroplan # and my pin# After giving it I get put on hold. On 3 occasions I was on hold for over 45 minutes and then hung up.

Other times the message I get is they are too busy to take calls so go to their email site. I tried this multiple times but there is no way to cancel a miles flight. Please have someone call me to fix this problem! com

Your site continues to be problematic. It will not recognize my Aeroplan number,my name or email address. I have sat for hours on the phone with the contact centre without anybody answering. I’m suspicious about all of this as I cannot use any rewards or view account status.

Recently we took a flight from Deer Lake to Toronto to Orlando and return, however on our return trip we had to stop off in Toronto because of a Medical Emergency. Our son was hospitalized and we needed to be there with him.

Because of our stop over we lost our return flight from Toronto to Deer Lake and had to purchase a ticket back. I don't understand why there isn't an exemption for emergencies like this. Aeroplan needs to change there policies for such situations.

Aeroplan do not publish its email address on its website. A sign that they want to avoid their customers contacting them and getting in touch with them when they face any problem. There was further proof of that as follows: They have only one 800 number listed on their website.

When you call that number the standard and disgusting ploy to avoid attending customer is to announce immediately that due to high volume of calls, the wait time may be longer. Basically, asking the customer to go away. If you did not go away at this point, then you can hold on to your phone for ever.

After holing onto it for about 20 minutes, someone finally appeared on the phone and started speaking in terrible Chinese type of accent of which I had to really take time and ask repeatedly the question she was…

I am a longtime Aeroplan member and have close to 200,000 travel points. Tonight (April 12, 2019), I attempted several times to use some of those points to book a possible trip to New York City. Each attempt resulted in a 400-500 Error Page.

That there may be a temporary technical problem with the Aeroplan website is not the subject of my complaint. What I am not at all happy about is the total inability for a customer to speak to a human regarding something as straightforward as service status.

I recently booked flights for my grandchildren to visit but about 10 minutes later i discovered i booked the wrong dates . I called Areoplan to see if i could cancel and rebook . This was done for me .

50 for this mistake . I think it is very unfair since it was such a short period of time . So Sad , when we work so hard to get points and to be ripped off in this manner .

When I checked with Aeroplan to book a flight at the beginning of January, was told that I no longer had my nearly 50,000 points as I had not used Aeroplan in 2018. No other explanation given, no apology. I checked on line and realized that I should have been given 60 days notice.

I called again and was told that a notice had been sent to me in October; when I said I had not received it, I was told that didn't matter, their records showed they had sent it to me and, too bad (my words) if, for some reason, my computer did not receive it, it didn't matter, notice had been given. I did get a Costco membership in November 2017 and used it all last year, but paying cash.

My only proof is my Costco membership #. My Aeroplan # Is 778 558 635

I have been trying to claim missing miles from recent flights with your partner Ethiopian Airways. I have filled in the forms correctly but my claim has not been accepted. I got an email saying I could send documents to appeal this which I did.

I then got an automated email saying the appeal also failed because the partner airline couldn't find a booking with that name. I know what the problem is: I rarely use my middle name so it is not on my Aeropan account but Ethiopian Airlines insisted on using it so the computers think there are two different people, even though everything else is correct.

The problem is very simple and a human being could easily work it out but unfortunately your computers can't. Please can a human being look into this. I am not sure you even have a human on your…

Wow!!! Is there any way to get my expired aeroplan miles that expired back?? 110.500 miles.... poof! Gone. Very upsetting since when I would go to use them, they were usually only good to go one way and useless the other. This seems to be a very unfair practice considering the amount of money and time it took to earn those miles.

They wanted me to pay $970 +$30 to get them reinstated!! CRAZY I have had them because they have NEVER had any flights available for my travel? The worst points program I have ever participated in. Good luck Air Canada go on your own these people are giving you a very bad name.

I will never shop or use any of their partners, it's all a scam. I have travelled 3 times using my air miles this year...

I wish I could use negative stars for this one. I have literally had my Aero Classic Visa for like 6 years and I use it for everything from gas to flights to groceries. Over the time I've had this, I finally got enough to fly from Kelowna to Fort St. John (Wow, great right?). The plane had to turn around after circling for 35 minutes due to fog. I only planned to fly up for the night because I had to work the next day, missed my friends birthday, who was recently diagnosed with ALS so this was a pretty big deal for me, not to mention it was also to celebrate my birthday. I spent the night in Vancouver airport because they (Aeroplan and Air Canada) couldn't get me on another flight until the next day.

Of course, they didn't get me a hotel and my points wouldn't work to book me a hotel…

Once again, and like so many others I need to contact Aeroplan customer support and that is impossible. Now I can not even get on "hold", and I know if I do, I am looking at very long wait. It is time to end the frustration and make a change, and after 20 years.

I checked the Aeroplan website for air miles from Toronto to Orlando, and even spoke with an agent and was informed it was 25,000 air miles, on Saturday, I could not use the website as I Was having trouble trying to change the password, so gave up, My daughter called on Monday to book five flights as these were the last seats available on the flight that was suitable for us as we have two small children traveling. At that time speaking with an agent she was informed that the air miles had changed to 67, 700 per person, and was only able to get two tickets on Aeroplan number 197 479 280 and had to pay for three tickets.

I would like to ask for two more tickets allocated to Aeroplan at 25,000 which would cover four tickets, as there was 119,000 air miles against the number mentioned above,…

I wanted to use my Aeroplan miles to see Charlottetown. It appears that I don't have enough miles for a round trip, so I tried booking the return passage only. Charlottetown to Toronto. Monday October 10. But I was to still pay 70 some dollars in taxes.

But I could use my aeroplan miles. When I tried to use my aeroplan miles, the screen informed me I couldn't use them. So I called the number on the screen. Was on hold for two hours and ten minutes.

Then a voice came on saying, "There is a system problem. Try again. " Kept repeating that message then hung up. When I tried today, the flight I wanted was no longer listed. Only flights that took 12 hours from Charlottetown were there.

I called the help line again. And now am on hold for an hour and counting.
