Our office works in collecting records for attorneys all over the country, through subpoena and authorization work, WITHOUT A HITCH.
However, getting in contact with the HIPAA Fulfillment team is a NIGHTMARE. No matter what time we call, they are never available, you cannot leave a voicemail, and emails never get responded to unless they are telling you they haven't received the actual request when you check in for a status, BUT
you've sent the request to the same email address that responds to you. Even today, I called the CORPORATE OFFICE, and had someone there call the number, who came back to inform me that nobody answered, and all it says is to "email them for updates" and hangs up.
All other options on the phone line for the HIPPA Fulfillment team tell you to call other people.…
