My son & his family had military orders to be stationed in England, leaving Anchorage on March 12th. Ten days prior to leaving, on March 2nd, he went to Alaska Airlines at Ted Stevens Airport, in Anchorage, to get approval on the crate for their dog.
The agent had a Supervisor do an inspection & he 100% approved of it. The Supervisor also had the agent document the approval on the computer so my son would have no issues when leaving, however, upon arrival on the 12th, the agents working, rejected the crate!!
They refused to send the dog because of a 1/4 - 1/2" gap at the top of the door. If that had been an issue, it could have been resolved 10 days prior! My son asked for a copy of the Supervisor's approval, but they refused to give it.
