American Express is a fraudulent company. 00 on the Dell Technology site. I did that in May 2023 and used my AMEX card to pay for it like the terms stated. The only thing I did was to use PayPal to facilitate the sale for security purposes.

According to AMEX they will not honor the rebate because of that. What logic does that make? I ordered on Dell and paid the bill to AMEX. What difference does it make if I used PAYPAL? I will no longer use AMEX as my primary card.

That is about $15,000 of business they will miss for not honoring a $120 rebate. But I guess I am small potatoes to them. The supervisor Richard was a real indigent jerk also. He could learn some manners.

I received a $250 AMEX gift card from a very generous friend for Christmas 2022. When I tried to use it in May 2023 it was rejected. I called AMEX on May 23, 2023 and was told that the card was used fraudulently, and a new card would be issued.

The card never arrived, so I called back on June 14, 2023 and was told that the card should arrive within 24 - 48 hours. It never arrived. I called on June 22, 2023 and was told that another card would be sent and should arrive within 7 to 10 days. Again, it never arrived. com. The email was rejected.

I called back the same day and was told that a new card would be sent and should arrive within 7 to 10 days. It is now July 31, 2023 and nothing has arrived. I will have to tell my friend and anyone who uses AMEX gift cards of the poor customer…

In mid May 2023, I called to cancel my AMEX Reserve card about 11 days after the deadline to avoid paying the full renewal of $550. I understood prorated charges would deduct from my full refund of $550. The automated cancellation recording told me to expect a credit of $488 (or $448) so I requested to speak with a representative following the disconnect, to attempt to get the $550 full credit.

I was told that the recording was wrong and that I was not due anything back but that they would open a dispute for me. I was told i would receive an email. After 2 weeks, of not hearing anything, I called back .

By far THE WORST company to purchase gift cards from. com online puts you through attempt after attempt at the same photo selection security that other sites do, and will not let you get verified. It is an eternal loop with no way to reach customer service.

Even their main CS Line tried routing me then ended up back where I started asking for a 4 digit code that does not exist on the gift card. This card is useless and I will be reporting and posting on every site available to not purchase Amex Gift cards for any reason.

I have been a long time card member of American Express since 2012. As the personal representative for the E/O of Joanne White of Spring hill FLA, I am more than disappointed on how the fraud investigation that I opened in early January 2023 has been handled.

My mother was in a coma at the hospital from 12/25/22 through 1/3/2023. She passed away on January 3rd 2023 in the hospital. I called in early January to close my mother's credit card. I really can’t believe that after many years of being a loyal customer with no late payments, they would charge us a late fee for an issue that was not our fault!!! The month of February only has 28 days so consequently our payment (which has always been on time for years) was late.

The representative on the telephone stated it was not their fault that February only has 28 days thus causing our usual payment to be late. I would like to stress here there is such a thing as “ good business practice”!

#1 American Express lowered my credit limit for no reason without notifying me #2 even though I sent a check to them for the entire balance apparently they didn't receive it and shut my card off even though I've always paid my bill and was no where near my credit limit #3 I called to pay the balance over the phone using a DEBIT card and

I am beyond frustrated as I have been on the phone with American express everyday for two months more then one time a day. They have now canceled my card for the 4th time and promised me my card would be sent fed ex to my home today and today no card.

I logged in to track it and just noticed they have again canceled the card and issues me another number and card! This is unreal, Amex Platinum for $895 a yr and your calls are routed to India. No one knows anything and when they transfer you to a US representative the calls get disconnected leaving you to call back again and wait 20 more mins to get disconnected again.

This has been the worst customer service I have every seen in 49 yrs of life! If I could of issued them a 0 I would of as they don't even deserve the 1 star

I receive email on my Amex card and none of the options are appealing. I keep getting offers, log into my account to look at offers and everytime I do I leave the site disappointed. Amex sees where I shop, drive, trips, etc.

Why not offer something I can use or just stop sending the offers that are not attractive.

I'm a 100% service connected disabled Marine and I have been practically begging for a card for 2 months, I would specifically like to have the Platinum. the Platinum card at service My credit isn't perfect but I'm around 30% credit usage, 100% on time record, never missed a payment.

I find out last night that Amex is basically throwing the Platinum card at active duty service members , and waiving the $695 membership fee. If I had never been in the service, or been to war I wouldn't have a complaint but what AMEX is doing is letting these 1 to 5 or 6 yr service members who have never left the United States stand on the backs of those of us who have given our bodies, and souls to our country.

I apply for a card, because I'm told it will grant me access to a specific network of airport lounges. ). Upon learning this, I try to upgrade the card to the one that supposedly would. AmEx refuses the upgrade stating that I haven't had the card long enough (one year) to be eligible for the upgrade.

Meanwhile, I've been their customer for well over a decade - with another card. Ok. So I go on and apply for the card I need... and I get approved for the card. I'm flying tomorrow morning. AmEx could not EXPEDITE the card, oh no.

But even worse - they refused to supply a temporary ICN or digital card information. So now... I have a card I don't need... as the benefits are inconsequential, and I don't have any information about another card that I did apply for, get approved for...

I was sick and was late one payment in 21 years. I pay my balance off every month to a balance of zero. I requested a credit for the interest and fee and I was told it would be credited.

I was told today it was refused. I want someone in the company to understand how this situation was handled. If this is the way AE is doing business now then I will go elsewhere. I am very surprised how their customer service has gone down from a 5 to a 1.

Obviously you don’t care if I and a few of my friends quit using your card. I think my history with your company speaks for itself. I checked your ratings on several sites and I’m amazed at how low the ratings are.

I have always paid my AMX bill off every month. I was offered the interest free program for 6 months. 00 interest. I always pay my bill off every month so I will not be charges the high interest rate.

It is a scam and it was misrepresented to me. I have reported this to AMX and not sure why I was charged interest when it was to be interest free for 6 months. Please don't fall for this SCAM.

1) How do I redeem the cashback by choosing an entry on my statement? I cannot find a clearly worded icon anywhere. 2). When trying to get to the rewards page the progress line stops about 3/4" of the way across and starts stuttering. It will not progress.

Customer service is rude, horrible, cheap and abusive. I had a pending charge over a holiday; no one would help me. I got 4 different answers for the same question. Tell me why I researched my new American Express card for nearly 3 months and finally chose the American Express Hilton Honours Business card. With all of its glory and benefits but mainly because it was the cheapest annual fee.

I recently had a CC bill drop at a time that cleared my account, but I contacted AMEX Platinum for immediate help. I was hoping to just make the minimum payment and have the rest refunded as I was told by a number of agents.

I finally got someone to begin the process, but I was NOT told it would take a number of days to issue the residual refund. In the meantime, my other bills (principally mortgage) were ready to drop, but I didn't realize the refund wasn't immediate.

I was NEVER told so I was in a bind. Thanks, AMEX Platinum, for your help. I asked for compensation for the issue, but was FLATLY refused. Nice job, corporate, training your agents to be heartless and cruel.

I called the number on the back of a card I recently purchased because the card was defective. I spoke to a Lester at 888-846-4308. com as instructed by Lester. He said I needed to send a picture of the front and back of the $400 card I purchased, the receipt of purchase and a copy of my driver's license (didnt understand this part).

He also told me he would deactivate the card. I did this on November 28th. He said someone from his team would be contacting me in two days to start replacement of the card. I did as instructed and have heard nothing. Was this a scam?

A second representative refused to transfer to a supervisor as well as putting me on hold for excessive times hoping I would disconnect. As a customer with American Express for must be over 30 years now, I feel like customer service, listening and going the extra mile once in a blue moon should be expected. Today was a bad experience after spending 55 minutes on the phone.

I spend thousands of dollars each month on AMEX. Its the only card I use and pay on time for all these years. I took the initiative in November to not only pay my $2500+ balance but paid an additional over $600 to be applied to my pay in full.

I have a Business credit card that all of sudden added a yearly fee. I called customer service (Nov. 4) asking about the fee and was told. The fee has always been there. So I canceled the card and was told I would get a partial refund. I asked for a supervisor -- she hung on me. I have been a customer with many AMX accounts for at least 50 years and always paid every balance in full. Over the years there have been occasional payments received late because of bank holds or other explainable reasons, where any finance charges or interest was reversed.

This time, we were away for a month and when we got back the due date had passed. I immediately called to make a full payment and was told the $29 finance charge would be reversed but the interest charge could not be reversed because it had been done before.

This company is such a let down. If you have a problem they will not actually listen to what you are saying and just keep reading from a script instead of doing anything about the problem. I tried to by an airline ticket with delta.

The ticket didn't go through. Amex refused to release the pending charge. I called four supervisors and even had the delta supervisor talk to delta to tell them that no transition occurred. Today I made 3 phone calls to try to book a rental car using my points. The first call was ripe with ineffectiveness and I was transferred 3x finally on hold for 32 minutes. I was then disconnected. The second call the agent was dismissive of me and was not helpful at all but decided to send me links which were not clear and effective.

The third agent could not find a profile for me and had to figure out a way to help me book the car and that was accomplished after 40 minutes or so. The problem stemmed back even before these calls today when I was given incorrect information on how to book a rental, causing me today to cancel an Expedia booking while creating another booking through Amex travel.

American Express shut my business account down for no reason, followed by my personal accounts. They claimed that my payment was due one month out from when they shut the personal accounts down. They had also just charged me both annual fees $550 + per card within 60 days of cancelling the cards.

I had 350k + points and have been a card member since 2013 and have spent in excess of $5M on amex cards. What a great way to treat top customers.

Despite being a customer since 2005 we were denied request to refund the annual feel charge of $99 on two platinum cards that we had not used for an entire year. The charge was in 6/17/22, we contacted their customer service on 7/25 requesting the annual fee to be waived and account closed since we had not used it for the last 12 months.

We were told they cannot waive the fee, but if we are closing the account they can review the account for an adjustment. Once the account was closed they reviewed the account, we were told that we do not qualify for an adjustment.

Bottom line, we had to pay $99 X 2 for annual fees that we will not receive any benefit from. We paid the fee last year when we were told the same thing. Our stupidity to keep it for another year and get charged a second time…

Well my card was accidentally charged for two night hotel stay instead of one . The hotel immediately issued a refund . at least 7 more days if not more for them to investigate the return. Keep in mind the said money in question was loaded to the card in cash. now.
