Deplorable service. Customer service outsourced off shore, can’t get a supervisor and corporate office is unresponsive, possibly nonexistent. Claim open since March 5. Still not serviced. Won’t give me a refund.

In 3/2021, I called AHS as I thought that water discovered in my basement was coming from my hot water tank, however when the plumber from Advanced Drain came my home, the plumber assessed(upon digging into the the back of my basement closet that a cast iron pipe, leading into my bathroom floor, was cracked). In order to repair the problem, the plumber had to tear up my bathroom floor, removed my toilet and sink from the bathroom, ultimately the cast iron pipes were replaced with PVC pipes.

Please note, the plumber also informed me that in order to do the work, I had to make a deposit of $1,000, and balance of $1,300 will be due upon completion w/2 days. At the time, in retrospect, I should have contacted AHS for verification and/or AHS should’ve contacted me to let me know its’ decision…

This company is a truly ripoff company, they don't even disclose their business address to correspond with them, the address they gave me was (860 Ridge Lake Blvd. Memphis TN 38120) and according to post office this address doesn't exist since I try to send them some documents.

I had a problem with my water heater on 11 Nov 2020 which left me with no hot water after I report the problem they send me message after couple of weeks that they can't find a technician and I can find one myself and send them the bill, which I did and fixed my water heater and still after 6 months I haven't been able to get my money.

THIS COMPANY IS A FRUED.

I am a homeowner at 556 Cambridge Dr. Saginaw Texas 76179 is next to me 552 Cambridge Dr. Saginaw Texas 76179 has become a lease property covered by American Home. I have previously sent a request to have the Bradford Pear tree in the front yard trimmed.

This is a very large tree that is overhanging the sidewalk and my side yard. My grass is dying because it cant get any sun because of this tree growing over my yard. Seriously, its large. I have to duck my head to walk through my yard .

I spoke to a gentleman 2 weeks ago with your company that was over at the address preparing it for the new occupant and he said that he would take care of it, but no one has been out. Can you please send someone out to trim this tree? Thank you.

My AC is not repairable they simply refuse to pay the $ 2,000.00 limitations as stated in policy. I can’t speak to a supervisor nor any one in the USA. They are forcing me to work with there contractor so he has to give the discount instead of me being able to take the $2000.00 and shop around.

We have a major complaint on claim # 280172382. This all started back in Nov 9th 2020 When my dishwasher of 3 years started not cleaning the dishes. 00, and at that time they assigned my claim to Palmetto Appliance Professionals Dispatch # 35439227 at 864-277-1644.

They came on 11-13-2020, It was determined at that time, that some parts need to be replaced, and they were ordered. The parts finally came in around 11-20-2020, so an appointment was set up with them to return on 11-24-2020 for them to repair the machine.

Dishwasher worked for a while, and dishes started getting dirty again, called and Palmetto appliance, this time dispatch # 40368867, and they came back out again on 12-15-2020, again ordered more parts, including a motor. They came out on 12-30-2020 to install the new parts.…

My AC went out, repairman came out and said not everything needed was covered by AHS. He said he would submit his findings and AHS would contact me. I hadn’t been contacted so, I called AHS to get details so that we could get the ball rolling and get our AC repaired.

However, I reached a young lady who didn’t seem anymore knowledge than I was. She was simply reading from a document word for word. It was pretty obvious that she didn’t understand all the terms listed in the contract AHS had provided to her that was supposedly mailed (US mail) to me on yesterday.

This wasn’t going too well well.

I put in a request for plumbing work back in January 2021. They sent out a vendor (NW Sundance), who did not fix the issue. I called back to express my concern and was told that the item they requested "a shower pan" was not under warranty.

I told the rep, that I didn't have a shower pan and my drain just needed to be tightened. They also didn't repair my kitchen sick, because they couldn't find the part. I called month after month and I am now on month 4.

I call and finally get someone to send out a new plumbing company. I am told by the new company, that it is an easy fix and they can fix everything that day, but they needed authorization from AHS (American Home Shield) first.

On March 7th our well went out. The person I spoke with at AHS, said they would find me a service provider. March 8th, I received a call, was told they did not have one in the area, that I would need to find a licensed technician myself and pay for the repairs and be reimbursed.

We live 15 miles from the city, have 2 horses, 4 dogs, a helper, my wife ( who has Terminal Cancer), and myself. We have one Well Company in Kingman, Arizona, so they are very busy, so it took two days for them to come out .

, so we had them repair the well immediately, as they could not return for several days. I am a 70 year old Vietnam Veteran with 100% disability and my wife is 65 with terminal Cancer. We needed water immediately for our animals and both of our health concerns.

Worst company ever. I had a cooktop and washing machine got out at the same time 2 months ago. They assigned it to a repair company and they came out a week later and said they needed to order parts for both.

The parts have been back ordered for 2 months now and American Home Shield says they are still waiting on the parts to come in. They have contacted the repair place and they have told them the parts will not be coming in and American Home Shield will still not replace the appliances and will not let me talk with a supervisor or move forward on the ticket because they say they are still waiting on parts.

I will cancel my service as soon as I get this resolved if it ever gets resolved. Support is terrible, they don't listen to what you have to say and over and over say I understand…

I put in a service request for a water heater on 3/6/21 and to this day I keep getting a run around. I have made 9 follow up calls and each time I get a different excuse. Either the authorization department has not approved or the company assigned has not sent a diagnostic.

I call the vendor assigned and they tell me. I have requested to speak to a supervisor several times and each time I am told none available. I have never received a call back. This is the worst customer service I have had.

I have written to the corporate HQ in TN still waiting for a response.

I had American home shield come out for a washer problem - they act ually showed up day after i called. Sears came and stated needed 2 parts and ordered right there on his ipad. Parts were supposed to be delivered to my home and sears out again by 4/8.

They called and stated they would be late, i told them parts not here. So i've been checking on it for 3 weeks and still no parts, called customer service 8 times. Appt is set for 4/28, but for what?

There are still no parts. Horrible customer service!! Asked to talk with a supervisor and they said - will call back, 3 days still no call. This company is absolutely terrible.

No customer service, barely speak or understand English. Had an AC issue in January and there was a hole in coil, instead of replacing he charged me $300 for Freon that leaked out. Call them back and they want to charge another $75 fee, they never showed up for second call.

Literally ignored me where I had no choice but to call someone else. This composites to take your money but don’t uphold their end of contract.

We have a whirlpool range that began to malfunction in mid-February 2021. The assigned technician from Sears came and determined that a part was required. We waited the 21 business days to receive the part, but it was not available.

On April 1 AHS assured us that a decision would be made in 48 hours to either replace the stove or give cash equal to what AHS would pay. Since that day we have called 6 different times and received promises of a next-day call back with a decision each time.

Not once have we received any communication from AHS. It is now 3 weeks from that date and still no resolution. Dispatch # is 51673907. We have followed contract guidelines, AHS has not. They have made promises with no attempt to fulfill them or give explanations.

We could not have received worse…

We have had it! We have been with this company for 20 years but the customer service has gone to the toilet. We are done. We NEVER WVER can get to a supervisor and every person we talk to tells us something different!

We requested a plumber this last time, you took our $75 and I took a day off to wait around for NO plumber! They never called and still hve not called back. Ahs can’t get a hold of them and this Budget Plumbing has an F rating with the BBB!

My hydronic heating went out 4 months ago. It took AHS 3 weeks to send the right company out that specialized in hydronic heating. This company, California Mechanical Heating, came out 3 months ago to fix my heat. It is now 3 months later and I am still without heat. Very poor service.

They just don't seem to care. Very subpar. Would not recommend AHS nor California Mechanical heating.

I have warranty with AHS who appointed a contractor to fix my refrigerator. It was fixed and within 4 weeks same issue occurred again. They re-assigned same contractor and it has been 6 weeks and I haven't gotten my issue resolved.

I followed up 5 times and there is no email or names that I am given of managers. I think the contractor has even gone out of business.

Not sure who or whats needs to be done but I'm beyond the point of frustated something has to be done this has been going on for about two years of longer and all American Sheild workers has been doing is putting a bandage over my problem that last about 6mouths and im calling for service again.

First, My problem is that i have a pipe or/a plumming issue that bags up a pipe line from my washer machine to the wall and this issue causes water to flood my Den and the damages are unbearable and expensive and every time i call American Home Shield they come out send a plummer out the unclog the pipe and they assume the job is fix but

This company is a fraud. Every time we need to file for services, it automatically goes to another country. We have had them and they have been nothing but a waste of money and a head ache. Im surprised no one has sued this crap company.

We have been out of ac for almost a month now. We’ve called more than I can remember and have asked for a supervisor, apparently they have no supervisor in the Philippines and they can’t put me through anyone in the USA (where we live). That’s another thing....

I need help and American Home Shield is giving me the run around but you have charged me a monthly service and the fee for an assigned technician to come, which has not happened. My refrigerator had problems so had to wait for service. Service finally came out and it was determined after a month or more that parts are not available. I have been told on numerous occasions that I qualify for a replacement refrigerator and I will be given info as to whom to contact. After a month and 6 or 7 calls including promises that a supervisor will call me, no info, no calls, no refrigerator.

The worst service in the world!!! It’s a total scam. I have a microwave sitting in my garage for weeks and the company from HS won’t install it until they have a work order and HS says they don’t need one.

However, the installer won’t come out because they said they won’t get paid by HS. The same installer (Jones Family Appliance Repair) came out to fix our dishwasher twice and it still not working and they want us to pay another $100 to come back out to fix it again after 2 weeks and

we’ve been trying for a week to get them to come back out. Totally frustrating company. They say they care about service but they don’t.

Moreover, they make it insanely difficult to even reach someone from the company unless you’re buying a new contract or paying otherwise your connected to their call…

I am on my 4th service request for plumbing because AHS keeps cancelling them out. 3 have been escalated and still cancelled. I keep being told they only have 2 plumbers available and that if they can not get 1 of them within 4 hrs they will find someone else to help.

This is 2 days in, sewage flooding my basement. 49 floor destroyed. I am disabled. I can't get anywhere to use another toilet. I have not been able to shower or brush teeth for 2 days going on 3. And now my in home health care workers said they can not come in because they need to have a bathroom available to them while working.

So this is now a medical emergency I am submitting to Medicare & Medicaid for emergency housing until the plumbing is fixed due to medical conditions. I will have to let both state and federal…

My dishwasher has been down for almost 3 months. today they have assigned a 3rd contractor. The first 2 ordered parts returned then admitted they did not know what is wrong. There has been constant confusion on parts orders between the contractors and AHS.

I have called them 11 times over the last month. Every time they say we will . get the answers and call you back. I have never received a call back. They won't let me talk with a supervisor. Basically the system is set up so no one but off shore call centers can be reached.

Even today the new contractor is not scheduled to be here for 2 weeks. The Dishwasher will have been down for over 3 months. I simply asked if they could contact the contractor and ask if they could possibly ask them if they could get here a bit sooner.

Charged me $100 service fee for services not delivered on my AC unit. The servicer told me that I needed to replace my electric panel. Called AHS again for a new provider, paid another $100 and received an appointment for another service provider.

The second provider fixed the issue in minutes. My issue is AHS's failure to hold contractors accountable. Why should I pay for services never delivered?

On 3/19/2021 I requested service for an electrical problem concerning one of my florescent light fixtures. The light came on and went out. I explained the problem when I telephoned customer service and was told it was covered, and given a company name that would service the electrical problem, GJC Electric Company 267) 753-5687.

A technician from the GJC company came to my home. He noticed the fixture ( casing) was loose. He said there was a cord connected to the fixture that lead to a plug in outlet and it was similiar to a lamp.

He than told me he had to go to his van (vehicle) to make a call for approval to fix it. I have a land line telephone he could have called from my house. When he returned he said it was not approved. I didn't understand why.

We filed an issue with our dishwasher on 12th January 2021. Since then the technician visited us 3 times but was not able to fix the dishwasher. On 12th February he ordered a part and after that it has been crickets from AHS side.

I have called them several times and they keep giving me run around.

First time I called them to complain that the ticket has been open for 10 weeks, they asked me to escalate to replacement of appliance. I did that. I called next day, and they told me it takes 48 hours for escalation department to get back.

So I called 60 hours escalation. They told me they still haven't heard back and that's when I told them I'll file a complaint if they did not get back to me in an hour. I again called the next day.

At that time I was told that the order of the part is delayed…

I have been trying for seven weeks to have my washing machine repaired. The agents at AHS refuse to let me talk to a manager. They keep promising a callback which never happens. The usual excuse is that parts are ordered and shipping.

Had a repair for our refrigerator and stove top on January 29, 2021. Refrigerator was supposed to be fixed, but after repairman left, a noise started and has become more frequent and louder. The repair to the stove was partly made and when the part was put in it was defective and he had to order a new part. In the process of repair, the repairman broke a part of the stovetop.

Now it is March 19. We have called this repairman, texted him and have had no answer. We call American Home shield every day and they stall and say they are referring it to a supervisor, or another department to solve. Every day it is wait 24 or 48 hrs. Feb 23, 2021 I asked for service on my Samusung ice maker. This was the 3rd claim for the same problem. March 8 Sears tech arrives and determines that AHS policy is no more repair, fridge must be replaced. He submits report.

I hear nothing for a week. I call AHS to ask about my claim. Your agent states the claim is closed. I inform her that the Sears tech stood in my kitchen and spoke with an AHS rep who confirmed the need to replace.

I then contacted Sears directly who shared a copy of the written report, (that they re-sent to AHS) on March 11th and 12th that states UNECONOMICAL REP. PA REPLACEMENT. I HAVE ATTACHED A COPY TO THIS EMAIL. I contact AHS again on March 15.

American Home Shield is a Ripoff. I submitted a request for appliance repair for a washing machine leak. They sent a vendor in March 16, 2021 who exacerbated the issue and caused a continuous leak from my washer. I called the appliance vendor, and they will not come out to fix the issue until March 22nd.

I contacted AHS to advocate on my behalf as my warranty service provider. They will not provide assistance related to the vendor they sent or escalate up to manager even though requested.

As a Consumer, you should know upfront that AHS continually increase monthly fees, take money upfront for service not completed and will not assist or advocate when their vendors cause issues.

The plumber came out and told me I needed to order a part from Moen. He said when it comes in call AHS and tell them it is a recall and he will come back and install. I ordered it and it arrived 2 weeks ago. I have made repeated phone calls every few days. I was told I needed to pay another service fee (according to their policy) when I asked to speak to a supervisor i was told the supervisor would call me back. Called in service request 1 month and 1 week ago today. you have sent same service company 4 times and washer is still not fixed. Have spent over $200 on waqsh and dry for my elderly (82 yr) parents. I bought a home warranty from American Home Shield in good faith having seen their advertisements online and on television. As luck would have it I had a dishwasher issue at the end of June. 00 service call fee and was assured they would get someone out.

Well, I was contacted by a contractor who asked what was going on over the phone and said they knew exactly what was wrong but they would have to order parts. A week and a half went by and finally they contacted me and set up an appointment.

The day of the appointment they called and rescheduled. The next appointment day came and they once again called and said AHS would not pay travel charges or some other bogus excuse. Needless to say this was 3-3 1/2 weeks of dealing with this and I was fed up.

I would have rated it below a one if computer would have let me I have a warranty plan with your company and my air conditioner quit working June 4, 2020. After 12 days a repairman showed up and I had air for 3 days it then quit again. I have been without air for almost 7 weeks I can't get calls returned although I did get an email asking for $1850. Although I felt taken advantage of, I authorized this because I have congestive heart disease and emphysema and can't breath very well w\o air.

Can you please help me. I feel I have been mislead and don't understand why they have breached their contract

I Filed a Warranty Claim on 7/30/2020 Leaking pipes in ceiling of my basement. I didnot hear back from youroffice for a whole day at the time I cut my water off to stop damages to walls and ceiling. I had to call back in to find out that you could not locate a provider.

At that time I was told to locate a outside contractor to repair my pipes. Which I did I was told that I would be reimburshed all I needed was a copy of a invoice. I then once again called in to find where to send invoice with each time over a hour wait on phone.

I sent invoice to provided email address i was given by your phone attentedant at that time with him saying I would hear with 24 hours still no response ( Would be email or Phone call) is what I was told. So i call in on 8/6 to be told there are a set of guidelines…
