I called ahead to make sure I could travel with my dogs and, after providing flight number and all the dogs information I was told to book the flight and call back and confirm the flight. I called back only to find out that they Would NOT allow my pets to fly.

00 to cancel my flight. I got transferred at least 5 times and Everyone I talked to didn’t know what the previous person had done and kept saying they couldn’t do anything about it because they didn’t know who gave me the wrong information.

In the end I got absolutely NO HELP to solve the problem they created and had to pay fines to cancel the flight. Very desapointed and will never fly avianca again

I got charged 150 dollars one way for my surfboard and then 170 dollars for the way back, this is discrimination! A golf bag that weighs 10 times as much costs 40 dollars, i could buy a new board for what these thieves charged

We had a family vacation of a week to El Salvador with my 1 year old son. We also purchased a multiple flights because after our week in El Salvador we where going to peru which is my husbands country.

Yesterday, being our departure day from El Salvador to peru to our suppose they didn’t allow me to get in the flight because peru has a law that if your passport will expire with in 6 months then you can not enter peru. My expires July.

We understood but when we asked for a manager a supervisor came and rudely told us that her worker had already explains the law and that she couldn’t had been clearer. We felt disrespected they way she came up front with out even introducing herself she didn’t want to respond to any question.

I had 9 flights in 2 weeks with Avianca. 8 flights were delayed some of them over 3 hours. I find this very bad and unacceptable for such a big airline company

COM and I notice that I do not have a seat assigned at all. I called costumer service for avianca, who were extremely rude and unfair towards me, to find out why I do not have a seat assinged. They refused to give me an assigned seat and I was told that I will have to wait 24 hours before the flight to get get my seat due to the fact the I bough my flight too soon and too cheap.

This got me very upset and I asked to speak to a manager and they refused to transfer me over to the manager. Then the man I was talking to over the phone ended up being even more rude just like the first costumer service representative.

Usually they leave the the middle seats at the end this is NOT the first time that this has happen to me where i have had problems with this airline and I will never use this…

Today I had a very bad experience with Avianca, Tgu HN. I cheked in on time, and tried to board 20 minutes before the flight. I was at the airport at all time and didn't get called for bording. m.

and they told me that the plane was closed. I don´t think it is my falt that beacuse of other delays caused on the past week I have to be he one who has to pay. and now I am at honduras with no ticket and no way to go home.

Very bad!!! Please do not book with them they have bad service and if you have a complain they will ignore this when calling there office in Curacao they will put you on hold for 1 hour then hung up, so you have to call back so they do the same because they do not know what to answer you...

Dear customers On 27/01/19 Avianca Flight AV260 There was a delay in flying And as a result missed Our important traveler Mr. TZAH BENTOLILA His next flight Flight 244 Abianca. Mr. Zach was more than 8 hours at the airport Without getting food or drink.

In Rio he was promised a representative by the name of Bruno To be in the business department and not accepted. He had missed a night at the hotel he had booked And was charged by the hotel for $ 71.

I tried to change a ticket. I called the customer service like 10 times and the call disconnected 5 times. The other 5 times, they made me wait more than 40 min in each call and at the end they were not able to give me a solution.

My ticket can be changed, however the service is not helpful at all and they turn the experience impossible. It is the last time I use this airline.

I booked a ticket that explicitly said it was refundable for a total amount of ($370), although that is irrelevant, it specifically mentioned a refund was possible within 24 hours if cancelled. What it failed to mention was anything about how difficult it might be to cancel, or how large the fee might be.

The fee ended up being $100, which I think is quite a bit higher than one could expect, let alone expect a fee at all, as long as it is within the 24 hour period and more than 1 week in advance from when the flight would take place. Next, I waited on the phone for over 45 minutes to even speak to anyone (I was told in chat by customer service that speaking to an employee was the only way to cancel).

I ended up hanging up and calling back in the morning to wait over 15 minutes again to…

I recently put my trust in Avianca and was severely let down. I trusted that Avianca would treat my dog with care and that they would bring my dog home to me in a safe and timely manner. However, this did not happen. My dog was scheduled to fly from Pereira, Colombia to Miami, Florida, but somehow ended up in Madrid, Spain!

My dog was dropped off to the indicated personnel in Pereira, Colombia on Thursday, December 20th 2018 at 7:30 PM. He was scheduled to arrive in Miami Florida on Saturday December 22nd 2018 at 12:35 AM. Somehow, this 29-hour trip became an 80-hour trip. I am writing regarding flight AV121 on 10/11/18 from London Heathrow to Bogota with the scheduled departure time of 21.40 This flight arrived 21 hours late at Bogota

The judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Tui & others v CAA confirmed the applicability of compensation for delay as set out in the Sturgeon case. As such, I am seeking compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 for this delayed flight.

The passenger was Amparo Valle Barbosa my sister and I paid for her ticket.

The scheduled flight length was 8473 km, therefore I am seeking €600 per delayed passenger in my party. The total is €600 for one passenger.

My flight with Delta got cancelled coming back home to New York from Honduras. Delta booked me a flight with Avianca, which was the biggest mistake ever made. It was my first time flying with Avianca. the personal inside the plane was very nice and helpful.

I had purchased a round trip direct flight ticket from Lax to Guatemala. Guatemala to lax 11/2 to 11/5 Upon departing Guatemala city 6am flight i was told there where no direct flights to Lax at that time. I was told I had 2 options take a connecting flight to Costa Rica then switch planes from Costa Rica to LAX or leave to LAX from Guatemala at 8pm.

Avianca failed to notify me via telephone or email about the change of itinerary. I lost a day work since I had to take a connecting flight to a further country that got me to my destination 5 hours later.

I flew Avianca from Bogota to Miami on Oct. 12th. 2018. Apparently my visa was expired on Oct 11th. why is it that your agent did not check my visa and I was able to board on the airplane. I myself was not aware of that and for getting to Miami one day after the expiration date, I am being detained at Broward Transitional Center since last Friday.

I am emotionally distressed and being treated here like a criminal. I hold Avianca responsible for their negligent. You can contact my husband at 954 290 6429 to further discuss this case. I am currently being presented by an attorney and beside going through hell in this jail, I have also incurred a lot of unnecessary expenses.

I was charged 650 dollars to change a flight that cost 750 dollars for another flight that took me to lima peru and got me home 2 days later. They stopped me at the gate asking for a yellow fever vaccination, and when I complained the employee told me the employee that did the original paper work put notes in the system about me that were derogatory. This flight was the worse Business class flight I have ever experienced. First off we were suppose to be on an Airbus 320 but we were not, the business class seat was nothing at all like your website shows, there was no entertainment system, just the screen on the ceiling. Our flight attendant was mostly MIA during the entire flight. She did not provide us with any preflight service, no water or drinks were provided. After taking off and the seat belt sign was turned off, she closed the curtains separating the business class section and her galley. I was not notified by phone or email that my flight was cancelled, after checking out of my hotel and arriving at airport I was informed my flight was cancelled and my trip back home was scheduled for the next day. This caused a huge problem I was not able to report to work the next day, and since I was not present to open the store was suspended from work for 3 days, all do to your company negligence, I had no way to contact my job after hours.

It was a shameful experience I aim to grow with the company I work for and now I have a bad report on record. I feel I should be compensated for the trouble in means of voucher for future flight.

My husband and I booked a short vacation to Bogota , Columbia . Our trip was to take place on June 4,2018 . Due to automobile accident on our way from Puerto Viejo , Costa Rica we did missed our flight . We still showed up at the airport in San Jose , asking if we could please be helped and perhaps, be placed on another flight . We were told by Avianca representative that , for a fee of $900 we could be placed , the following day !. Needless to say , we did not accept this offer however , the problem lies with our return fair , which Avianca informed us was canceled as well !. I find this unacceptable and am asking for our refund or a complementary flight to compensate us for the unfairness of our lost return tickets form Bogota .

I am really mad at the way Avianca is considerating travelling with them. I am a frequent customer of Avianca. my last to trip to Colombia was so expensive more than Fls1200 I paid. In Curacao my flight had a delay of 1 hour.

my way back to Curacao when a went to checkin online I could not. they put me on standby without a seat. I bought my ticket together with my girl friend she could checkin and I could not. At check in at the airport I could not get a seat and the told me I need to go till the gate for the checkin and seat.

this was the 14 of may 2018. After a long discussion a got a seat. Today 14 june 2018 the same thing happen to me again. this is totally unacceptable that a buy a tickect with a day to return back to Curacao and I don't have seat.

I bought a direct flight to Barranquilla-Colombia,to go on a trip on April 21, 2018, flight was on time, at that moment to arrive weather conditions did not allow us to arrive in Barranquilla, so we went to next city Cartagena.

First able Avianca tripulation were not honest on the follow up, they kept us for hours inside the plain, they were ignoring questions and keep silent, they lied to us, saying is just a moment and between moments and moments passed like 4 hours, they treated us as kids, they made us do immigration in Cartagena, pick up our own luggage, wait for hours again on the gate for a not confirmed flight, then

My wife and I recently traveled to Miami departing Managua on October 2, 2016 and a return ticket for October 6, 2016. Due to weather condition warnings at MIA because of Hurricane Matthew, are flight was cancelled. All flights were cancelled on October 7, 2016 also. The earliest we could get a flight out to Managua via San Salvador was October 10, 2016 at 6:10 PM arriving in Managua at 9:05 PM. This was bad for me because, I did not plan on 4 additional days at the Ramada Inn/Miami Airport Hialeah.

I made reservations from the 2nd to the 6th of October 2016. It cost me out of pocket $64.88 each extra night plus food cost. I only receive a $2101.00 VA Pension. I still have to purchase food for my three children and maintain the household expenses. This is in no form my fault. Avianca…

I arrived at 11:30 with a flight at 1:15. There were 2 lines: 1 for the drop off (mixing different flights), the other for late people who didn't do the checkin, as the flight was about to close. As I did my checkin online an chose my seat, Avianca's staff told me to take the 1st line, which was much longer.

Result: I miss the flight. When I arrived at the counter I've been told that the flight closed, while the people from the other line could get in, even without making any checkin before. Avianca's customer service staff gave me a wrong information about the line I should have taken.

As a 68 yrs old handicap individual and family were target because of our race, which is black. The Security were also disrespect by taking my cane, by waving it across the detector which gave off alarm. I was in a wheelchair, inform staff that I could not walk without my cane, this went on for at least 45 minutes.

Your staff threw away items less then two ounces. Employees decide to perform a manual body search, which was not a problem, this should of been perform first, harassment for 45 min, was not necessary, this shouldn't be allowed. This happen in San Salvador/Sal, June 28th, this was the worst experience I've ever had in my life time.

My family and i requested a refund for our plane tickets in August 2015 it is now May 2016 and we have not received our refund. Each time they promise to resolve the issue and they have not. I am super disappointed with Avianca.

They have not handled this professionally or in a timely manner. At this point i am requesting vouchers immediately.

Matthew (my nephew) and i were scheduled to arrive back home to New York on 2/23/2016 at 0930 pm( avianca record locator x79wyq). We arrived 1 hour prior to departure, due to my nephew not feeling well because of his type 2 diabetes which needs attentive care, we were scheduled to leave Peru on flight 837 at 0730 am, because we arrived 1 hour prior instead of 2 hours prior avianca employees refused to check us in, even though i explained the circumstances,at that point, we were instructed to go to avianca main office which was located outside of the airport, which we also had to take a taxi to get there ultimately losing our flight. Avianca main office was closed at the time we arrived there by taxi and we waited until they opened at 9 am.

Had to change a destination due to Altitude (Toronto to Quito...9000 ft above sea level) and was informed by Avianca that We would each receive a $720.28 credit that had to be used up by Oct 8th, 2016 also that a change charge of $200.00 per person would result leaving us with a Credit of $520.00 each. On calling Avianca we were informed that we would have to pay an additional $681.62 per ticket after their taking into account the credit of $520.28.

This new total cost would amount to $1201.90 per person. There was no agreement for Flight Hub had the same flight on the same time frame at a cost of $470.00 per person economy? I need to pay $80 for a mistake made by Avianca customer service. Was on a flight to Columbia and was told my ticket was cancelled. They never brought me back. It was my mistake for booking was Avianca, not very good. Watch out!
