I feel that your organization was discriminatory against me for denieing me a credit card to purchase some of your books. Because I am a reader and I have all sorts of books on my book shelve. I feel most insulted and prejudiced as a person and th I s is extremely unnecessary because the other credit card organizations approved me with issues at all!

God Damn you straight to Hell! Attached below is a picture of all the books I was looking forward to purchase from your store but you ruined all of it you discriminatory motherfuckers!

47, and I touched nothing on line to expedite. I spoke with chat on line, pretty much they said was oh well. Called 1 800 THE BOOK, no help at all. Next time, I will get books from Amazon. The only reason I ordered from Barnes & Nobles because I had gift cards.

Ever since they moved from Walnut Street to Chestnut Street in Philly, I've gotten the impression that they DO NOT want babies, toddlers, wheelchair bound people, or the elderly inside their precious store. In spite of installing a ramp, it is by a door that is extremely heavy and hard to open.

My elderly mother attempted to go inside by herself and said she very nearly hurt her arm trying to open the door since NO ONE "standing guard" at the entrance bothered to assist her.

Also the elevator has been "out of order" since the move and blocked off on the 2nd floor so wheelchair bound patrons who wish to browse are denied access since the majority of non recent books are up on that level. This is a violation of the ADA act as far as I'm concered.

I was shocked to see this book on display at the front of your store. This is suited for the back room of a xxx theater, not the entrance of my (formerly) favorite book store. 9% of loyal customers. I have been a member for many years and I'm now thinking I will need to find somewhere else to spend my money.

More of a comment. I went to your Colonie Center store in Albany NY, and wow what happened to that store? Almost no bargin book section at all. And even though the author I was looking for wrote multiple books, and your website said you had the book, the store did not have the book and only had one book by this author in paperback.

They have rearranged the store and not only is it horribley unappealing and unattractive it's difficult to find anything. I left without buying anything and will not be returning. Very sad to see such a wonderful business care so little for their customers that they do not keep up the stock and standards that they use to have.

I guess Amazon is the only place to purchase books.

Went to Barnes & Noble Booksellers 20600 North Rand Road, Deer Park IL 60010 / 847-438-7444, and got in line at the Coffee shop. My receipt says STR:2032 REG:020 TRN:7905 CSHR: Shelby S. The cashier DID NOT SAY HELLO ON ARRIVAL, and did not even bother to ask me what I wanted, and just stood there like a dead person.

There was only 1 person who was in front of me and they were leaving from the counter area when I first got there. The cashier did not provide any welcoming behavior. The cashier was not cheerful. The cashier did absolutely nothing until I but both of my arms up in disgust, and then they said "can I help you" and I got the black coffee that I wanted.

The cashier continued to avoid being nice in any noticeable way and made me feel like I was a worthless fool to have to keep…

Cashier was rude at check out at Waterbury,CT location. I asked a question because I did not understand the price I was seeing on the screen. She rolled her eyes and raised her voice as she aggressively answered about the books amount.

I found it to be poor costumer service, my 10 year old even commented about it. If my daughter had not really been excited about using her giftcard I would of went elsewhere.

I have contacted customer service twice today and had to repeat my problem a few times to each, I could not purchase anything on line because it kept telling me my payment m=method was missing information, which was never recommended by your customer care person, and they said that they would purchase my order and that was not going to fix the problem.

so 2 calls one almost 27 minutes and the second one over 15 minutes. And I just told the person that I would delete my card and input again which then it worked, but not a one of them could help with this issue on the phone.

Also, the first person I got a locked account and she said change password, which I had already did this morning, then she said wait 13 minutes and try again and it said still locked after 15 minutes and I changed…

This is to Sam, the one who works at the cottonwood corner 87114. Sam was rude to me when I was asking to purchase a reserved book. Sam did not need to interrupt me the way he did. Not only did it make me feel sad, it gave a bad representation to the company itself.

I hope Sam understands how he made his customers feel, and that he cheers up and appreciates his job and not let his attitude affect others.

I am in a wheelchair and I tried to get in at Barnes and Noble. The store is not handy cap equipped with an automatic door opener and there was no one to open the door for me. This is in Arizona.

You’ve taken away the display ladders where the books stood up and the covers were clearly visible, and substituted them with tiny tables where the books are flat and covers can’t be seen. To compensate for the impossible to see covers, now the stores are printing color posters so customers can tell what books are on the tiny tables.

In this paper shortage era when we can’t get sacks, napkins, coffee cups, receipts and any number of other paper products, printing posters is an unnecessary waste of paper. Bring back the ladders and the large tables for the hardcover books!!

The staff was very distasteful and Unprofessional! I use the bathroom for literally one minute I come out my books are missing I asked the customer service boy where are the books and who works here that could’ve picked them up he denies that he picked him up he has me run around the store trying to refine the books I get back to the customer service I ask him again he denies it but

They Renewed my Barns & Noble "book card membership" by charging my Credit Card $25 dollars, without letting me know !!! I NEVER Instructed them to put me on an Automatic Renewal program!!!! This is just a way for them to make money, from unsuspecting people, who may not always scrutinize their credit card charges!!!!

Has poor customer service. Made us get out of the line to form new line. Taking our order with an attitude, super rude and rolled her eyes too! Wow! At the bookstore, she assumed my kids were filming tictoc. What she should have said or asked “are you guys doing tictoc? Because it’s not allowed here”. We go there a lot because Petsmart is there and we go every month after the pet shop. We spend at least $50 per visit. Never again.

I tried building a book with Barns and Noble for my fiance.

This process was awful. At first, the website seemed great until I tried to upload my book. After reformating it about 7 different times, failing to get any over-the-phone help, and then trying another 7 times to reformat the book to meet the upload specifications, it made me absolutely despise working with Barns and Noble. I did not print my book using their services, and I recommend nobody else even try. Super upset at this experience, It's no wonder their company's rating is so low.

Any time, and I mean any time I've EVER made a preorder purchase with Barnes and Noble the purchase goes through. If it's a few months in advance which it usually is, the purchase disappears then reappears a week or so before shipping causing many issues with the bank.

And each time the bank claims it's the merchants fault and the number I call claims it's a bank issue. Honestly this is getting old. It's also difficult because most of the books I am interested are often only available via preorder through Barnes.

Today is Thursday, May 13, 2022. I bought a book at the B&N in Naples, FL and the sales clerk forgot to return my credit card to me. I left the store and went to have lunch. I returned 65 minutes later to ask about my credit card and the clerk said he gave it to the store manage.

The store manager said he immediately called VISA and the VISA folks told him to cut it up. This action by the store manage was totally premature. He should have waited until at least the end of the day. I am so angry that now I have to go through the hassle of getting a new credit card because of this store manager's business inexperience and/or stupidity.

He should have waited at least until the end of the day before he sliced up my credit card. I will certainly try to talk VISA out of issuing a new card and…

I’ve bought several records that have been destroyed on the cover or sold with the same album repeated in a double album. I’ve gotten terrible return service and have disappointed the people that I have given gifts to. We are Barnes and noble members and we will never buy records here again. Also….

I am an elderly man with a cardiac defibrillator that had fired a shock and I was recovering from tiredness. Cafe manager did not listen and was not willing to make an exception.

I have tried repeatedly to resolve the wifi connectivity problem with my Nook to no avail. All my other wifi connected devices work fine, but my Nook only connects once in a while. I've had my wifi provider's tech check out my system twice.

All was in working order. Still no connection with my Nook. When I check on Google about this issue I find that it is a systemic problem. Why hasn't Barns & Nobel addressed this problem?

im currently in Tucson Arizona at one of your establishments. This is my second time ever here with my boyfriend and now both times we have had employees immediately follow us, ask us if we're ready to check out, take our baskets and

Their interface for nook books is ridiculous and frustrating. I am constantly logged out, I have to constantly use two step verification even though I literally just confirmed two minutes ago, and the site provides no way of telling whether I’ve already purchased the ebook unless I try purchasing it again and

then it tells me I can’t because I already own it - every single other ebook retailer I can tell at a glance if I already own the book. Customer service sucks and has not addressed these issues I’ve brought up multiple times.

My wife and I just left your store in Greensboro, NC. We walked out because of a complete lack of willingness to help us. Our intentions were two buy two of Your larger Nook Readers and some books. We are not familiar with the Nook and wanted some help and guidance.

When I told the lady at the customer service desk what we wanted she pretty much pointed to the ones on display and then ignored us. We went to the front check-out counter and explained we wanted two Nooks but needed some help.

One of the ladies went back with us but was more interested in keeping the proper social,distance than she was in helping. I asked if she could show us the difference in the size of the print and her reply that we were not “fully” masked as my wife’s had slipped down below her nose.

My almost 13 years old daughter was reading calmly in the kids section and the manager said she can be alone there. I was in the store but they don’t any place for adults to sit in the kids section. I understand if is small kid alone or kid who is disturbing but a kid who is reading and the mom is in the same store but can seat in the floor.

I had a negative interaction with an employee named Rob. Someone had been smoking in the bathroom, and he publicly harassed this individual yelling at them and saying he had taken pictures of them. It was very disrespectful and uncalled for.

So I refused to by a book I was planning to purchase in the store. I addressed him and he was very rude in his response. I don't think I will every buy anything from that store again.

Terrible service/attitude problems! Never been to this specific Bookstar and really wanted to check it out! By brother and sister-in-law took me after a long morning of moving into their new apartment. We came right after opening at 10am and there were about less than 10 customers in the store.

While I was shopping my sister took a seat on the steps (keep in mind that we were in no ones way, no one around us, and was sitting for less than a minute), the associate came and told us we weren't allowed to sit on the steps and my sister got up said okay.

I tried to log into the Barnes and Noble website, trying to buy and download a book. I was told my password was incorrect and choose a new password. I followed the instructions and created a new password. Then I was directed back to the sign in page. When I tried to sign in I got the same password error message. I went through this process three times. So then I tried to contact help but got a screen to enter my username and password first. It does not get any stupider than this.

I came to my senses and downloaded the book on Amazon.

I am using the nook audio app to listen to their audio books. Unfortunately the app stopped working outside and I need help to find out why. I have been passed around from email address to email addresses that do not work.

Live chat sends me to these same email addresses. I need them to give me a fricking email that actually works for audio book problems or a phone number.

I recently purchased $150 worth of Funko pop mystery minis from your store in Geneva, IL. Upon getting home, many of the boxes seemed tampered with as the internal bags were already opened in some, and boxes were not sealed shut. I feel that I did not receive a good value on this purchase as they must have been returned upon inspection.

Today (at aprrox 1:30) I stood in line at the Cafe patiently waiting to place my order. Time was passing and the person in front of me was up next. while myself and a number of other customers were waiting for service.

That convo lasted for at least two minutes while all of us were waiting and listening to these two talking about their own lives and school and who knows what else. This seems petty, but when you want to pay for coffee and a dessert on a rushed schedule, you don't want to hear about the server's life story, or whether she is interested in a date with a customer.

I placed order 4089027625 on January 2 (Seven books). One book was going to be released in February and one was cancelled. I used a total of five gift cards to complete this order. Since January 9 when the one book was cancelled, I have been looking for a credit in order to request another book.

I have chatted (twice) and called with everyone promising me that a credit will be processed within 24-72 hours. Just now (January 21) I received an email stating that a credit cannot be issued because I have one book pending release in late February so the order is not complete.

00 from my grand-daughter, when I tried to use it they replied that it was not activated. I have tried numerous ways and calls, chats, emails, web site chat,text hours of trying to get an answer how to activate this card.

Every time I call or send a request I get a different answer or they refer me to a different site or phone number. There has not been one person able to help me with this. The card was bought from a Shopko store which is now closed so cannot return there to have the card activated.

I am not one that complains or sends in complaints however your customer service has been undeniably without help. Does your company not take responsibility for BN gift cards sold at other stores? Is there no way to track the gift card number to see it has not been used? Am I discouraged?…

I ordered a book online (order #4087626549) on Dec 8, 2019 that was supposed to ship from bookXpress. I received notification from bookXpress on 12/9 but the tracking number in the email was never valid. Notification from B&N the same day indicated the book was on it's way to USPS.

That tracing number still says "on its way to USPS" as of 12/31/19. My credit card was charged on 12/10/19. It is now 1/2/20 and I have no valid shipping confirmation and no book. Each time I have called B&N customer service they say they need to contact the seller and they will email me with information.
