I feel that your organization was discriminatory against me for denieing me a credit card to purchase some of your books. Because I am a reader and I have all sorts of books on my book shelve. I feel most insulted and prejudiced as a person and th I s is extremely unnecessary because the other credit card organizations approved me with issues at all!

God Damn you straight to Hell! Attached below is a picture of all the books I was looking forward to purchase from your store but you ruined all of it you discriminatory motherfuckers!

47, and I touched nothing on line to expedite. I spoke with chat on line, pretty much they said was oh well. Called 1 800 THE BOOK, no help at all. Next time, I will get books from Amazon. The only reason I ordered from Barnes & Nobles because I had gift cards.

Ever since they moved from Walnut Street to Chestnut Street in Philly, I've gotten the impression that they DO NOT want babies, toddlers, wheelchair bound people, or the elderly inside their precious store. In spite of installing a ramp, it is by a door that is extremely heavy and hard to open.

My elderly mother attempted to go inside by herself and said she very nearly hurt her arm trying to open the door since NO ONE "standing guard" at the entrance bothered to assist her.

Also the elevator has been "out of order" since the move and blocked off on the 2nd floor so wheelchair bound patrons who wish to browse are denied access since the majority of non recent books are up on that level. This is a violation of the ADA act as far as I'm concered.

I was shocked to see this book on display at the front of your store. This is suited for the back room of a xxx theater, not the entrance of my (formerly) favorite book store. 9% of loyal customers. I have been a member for many years and I'm now thinking I will need to find somewhere else to spend my money.

More of a comment. I went to your Colonie Center store in Albany NY, and wow what happened to that store? Almost no bargin book section at all. And even though the author I was looking for wrote multiple books, and your website said you had the book, the store did not have the book and only had one book by this author in paperback.

They have rearranged the store and not only is it horribley unappealing and unattractive it's difficult to find anything. I left without buying anything and will not be returning. Very sad to see such a wonderful business care so little for their customers that they do not keep up the stock and standards that they use to have.

I guess Amazon is the only place to purchase books.

Went to Barnes & Noble Booksellers 20600 North Rand Road, Deer Park IL 60010 / 847-438-7444, and got in line at the Coffee shop. My receipt says STR:2032 REG:020 TRN:7905 CSHR: Shelby S. The cashier DID NOT SAY HELLO ON ARRIVAL, and did not even bother to ask me what I wanted, and just stood there like a dead person.

There was only 1 person who was in front of me and they were leaving from the counter area when I first got there. The cashier did not provide any welcoming behavior. The cashier was not cheerful. The cashier did absolutely nothing until I but both of my arms up in disgust, and then they said "can I help you" and I got the black coffee that I wanted.

The cashier continued to avoid being nice in any noticeable way and made me feel like I was a worthless fool to have to keep…

Cashier was rude at check out at Waterbury,CT location. I asked a question because I did not understand the price I was seeing on the screen. She rolled her eyes and raised her voice as she aggressively answered about the books amount.

I found it to be poor costumer service, my 10 year old even commented about it. If my daughter had not really been excited about using her giftcard I would of went elsewhere.

I have contacted customer service twice today and had to repeat my problem a few times to each, I could not purchase anything on line because it kept telling me my payment m=method was missing information, which was never recommended by your customer care person, and they said that they would purchase my order and that was not going to fix the problem.

so 2 calls one almost 27 minutes and the second one over 15 minutes. And I just told the person that I would delete my card and input again which then it worked, but not a one of them could help with this issue on the phone.

Also, the first person I got a locked account and she said change password, which I had already did this morning, then she said wait 13 minutes and try again and it said still locked after 15 minutes and I changed…

This is to Sam, the one who works at the cottonwood corner 87114. Sam was rude to me when I was asking to purchase a reserved book. Sam did not need to interrupt me the way he did. Not only did it make me feel sad, it gave a bad representation to the company itself.

I hope Sam understands how he made his customers feel, and that he cheers up and appreciates his job and not let his attitude affect others.

I am in a wheelchair and I tried to get in at Barnes and Noble. The store is not handy cap equipped with an automatic door opener and there was no one to open the door for me. This is in Arizona.

You’ve taken away the display ladders where the books stood up and the covers were clearly visible, and substituted them with tiny tables where the books are flat and covers can’t be seen. To compensate for the impossible to see covers, now the stores are printing color posters so customers can tell what books are on the tiny tables.

In this paper shortage era when we can’t get sacks, napkins, coffee cups, receipts and any number of other paper products, printing posters is an unnecessary waste of paper. Bring back the ladders and the large tables for the hardcover books!!

They Renewed my Barns & Noble "book card membership" by charging my Credit Card $25 dollars, without letting me know !!! I NEVER Instructed them to put me on an Automatic Renewal program!!!! This is just a way for them to make money, from unsuspecting people, who may not always scrutinize their credit card charges!!!!

Has poor customer service. Made us get out of the line to form new line. Taking our order with an attitude, super rude and rolled her eyes too! Wow! At the bookstore, she assumed my kids were filming tictoc. What she should have said or asked “are you guys doing tictoc? Because it’s not allowed here”. We go there a lot because Petsmart is there and we go every month after the pet shop. We spend at least $50 per visit. Never again.

I tried building a book with Barns and Noble for my fiance.

This process was awful. At first, the website seemed great until I tried to upload my book. After reformating it about 7 different times, failing to get any over-the-phone help, and then trying another 7 times to reformat the book to meet the upload specifications, it made me absolutely despise working with Barns and Noble. I did not print my book using their services, and I recommend nobody else even try. Super upset at this experience, It's no wonder their company's rating is so low.

In the product "Star to a Young Culture" by STAYC that I ordered, the album was already opened and missing many components, meaning someone in one of your stores had taken things out of my purchased item. I will be unable to return this product due to specific circumstances, so I am not sure as to how else I am supposed to do.

Crocker Park Westlake, Oh location. The manager on duty shouted loudly at my child. Very unprofessional. I would have spoken to a child like a child or better yet, spoken to their very present mother or father that was right there with that child who did nothing but rush behind his dad because his shoes were slipping off.

Seemed to me this Brittany was nicer to the blonde kids running around the store and not the tan dark haired one. when he was simply trailing behind his father, in front of his mother. She needs to be spoken to about how to speak to customer's childeren especially when their parents are right there with said child.

I purchased a Nook Levono. I started having trouble with it. I had to make multiple calls with several people having me repeat processes including reinsert SD card to hard resets to no avail. Then was instructed to drive to a store and purchase an SD card from there and it would work.

06 a gallon driving from Los Angeles to Glendora only to be told they did not carry SD cards. I called customer service only to go through 20 minutes of torment after being in traffic and wasting gas to be told to mail it in.

This device is under warranty. It should not have taken four phone calls to do this. On top of that now they are dictating to me to mail in within 14 days or they will charge me. This is garbage.

Any time, and I mean any time I've EVER made a preorder purchase with Barnes and Noble the purchase goes through. If it's a few months in advance which it usually is, the purchase disappears then reappears a week or so before shipping causing many issues with the bank.

And each time the bank claims it's the merchants fault and the number I call claims it's a bank issue. Honestly this is getting old. It's also difficult because most of the books I am interested are often only available via preorder through Barnes.

Not a compliant. I want to emphasize how good the service is at the Lynwood store. Annie was extremely helpful. She was able to get me the book i wanted, it was not in stock at the time but she called one of the other Barnes and Nobel locations, they had a copy and sent it to the Lynwood store.

Annie has helped me a couple of times and she is personable, professional. She stands out and deliverers the BEST in customer service. *****

Today is Thursday, May 13, 2022. I bought a book at the B&N in Naples, FL and the sales clerk forgot to return my credit card to me. I left the store and went to have lunch. I returned 65 minutes later to ask about my credit card and the clerk said he gave it to the store manage.

The store manager said he immediately called VISA and the VISA folks told him to cut it up. This action by the store manage was totally premature. He should have waited until at least the end of the day. I am so angry that now I have to go through the hassle of getting a new credit card because of this store manager's business inexperience and/or stupidity.

He should have waited at least until the end of the day before he sliced up my credit card. I will certainly try to talk VISA out of issuing a new card and…

I visited my local Barnes and noble store in Fullerton, CA at the Malvern shopping center. I walked in and asked a member Kim to please help me find the tantric sex books or isle. She laughed under her mask and wasn’t even good about hiding it.

I felt bullied and attacked. It didn’t end there. As she was looking for the books online she doesn’t talk to me at a normal noise level she actually raises her voice so other people there can hear and says we don’t have books on tantric sex if you need anything we would have to order it.

I felt harassed and attacked by this member. She then took me to the sexuality isle and I found myself the living tanta book I was looking for. I am greatly disappointed and I feel hurt by this. No respect.

Sioux Falls South Dakota store 1. Bathrooms are often filthy and in obvious need of remodeling. 2. Employee morale appeared to be low and the person serving me appeared to be very tired and had trouble filling my book order. 3.

Outside of store in urgent need of pickup of trash and sweeping the old salt from the sidewalk. 4. I know the COVID era has been hard on everyone and it appears to have taken its toll on this store in particular.

It is not the store I used to enjoy frequenting. My wife and I have always preferred B & N over online orders. We have spent a lot of money there over the years. But I walk away from it frustrated every time I visit nowadays.

My mother was robbed inside the Barnes and Noble on 18th and Walnut Streets in Phila., Pa. by a man who deliberately targeted her and stole her keys and credit cards right out her pocket in plain view of the CCT cameras while the so-called "security" guard stood there chatting to their "friends"(which sadly is an all too frequent occurrence) instead of patrolling the store like they should have! Security are there to "protect" the customers and merchandise not to ignore their duties and flap their gums with friends when they're on the clock!

I have tried repeatedly to resolve the wifi connectivity problem with my Nook to no avail. All my other wifi connected devices work fine, but my Nook only connects once in a while. I've had my wifi provider's tech check out my system twice.

All was in working order. Still no connection with my Nook. When I check on Google about this issue I find that it is a systemic problem. Why hasn't Barns & Nobel addressed this problem?

I would recommend to reconsider the behavior of your shop assistant team to the customers and to their needs. And add more seating!! I was at the third floor the other day with my son. I came to buy books and toys. I was looking for seating and none was available. I found the area dedicated to (authors/ speakers) and many available chairs. Their interface for nook books is ridiculous and frustrating. I am constantly logged out, I have to constantly use two step verification even though I literally just confirmed two minutes ago, and the site provides no way of telling whether I’ve already purchased the ebook unless I try purchasing it again and

then it tells me I can’t because I already own it - every single other ebook retailer I can tell at a glance if I already own the book. Customer service sucks and has not addressed these issues I’ve brought up multiple times.

I stopped into the Barnes & Noble store at 2900 Peachtree Rd. NE Atlanta today. I just wanted to pick up a few copies of the Wall St. Journal since my son-in laws company was bought out last night and I wanted to get the article and have it framed. I thought I'd just pick up a couple copies. I paid for the papers and went a few feet away to look at the article that had appeared last night in the online edition. It wasn't there. I imagine it was too late for publication and will appear tomorrow.

I went back to the clerk at the same register and she said that she couldn't refund the $ because it was a newspaper. I went to the adjacent service desk and the manager rudely seconded that sentiment. Believe me, it's not the $10.87 that's upsetting. It's the callous and indiferent attitude…

Sale prices did not appear on receipt for items purchased, Camphill,Pa store. Now I have to make another trip to store, 45 minute drive- NOT happy! Wondering how many people get ripped off!

Tried to receive service. Transferred to agent to agent 3 times. Each created a contact number and said they could not handle the issue (issue was I was being shut out of ordering due to “lack of verification”). The first 2 agents could not tell me what that meant.

The final one did and cleared the situation but could not tell me why it had not been cleared months ago. And, of course, I was put on hold for extended pieces of time while waiting for the person to come on!

The second agent told me I would’ve not be put on hold to get to the third person. Guess what? I was! As the saying goes that extended effort and time is a piece of my life I will never get back again.

And the frustration level was totally unnecessary since it should not have happened at all!

My friend and I love this store but they have been losing their eyesight rapidly. Now they read large print books. We found there is no large print section and we were told to look around and find the large print among the other books.

It would be better if there was just a designated section for large print. I know each store is different so this might be only at our store but that makes it even worse.

On the web site it showed you Barnes and Noble had in stick the new book by Stephanie G about her time at the Trump White House. I drove to their store in Las Cruces NM store and asked for a copy.

I was told check with the service desk. Went to the service desk as was told they only had ONE COPY and is was reserved! ONE COPY are you kidding me this is a Book Store! But is was true and no they would not sell me the copy! Ridiculous!
