We rented a car from the San Fransisco airport and drove up to the Redwood Forest to do some hiking. When we returned the car there was, admittedly, some trail debris on the floor mats. 00 for cleaning and stating that the car was not returned in the same condition it was in when rented.

The charge form indicated the "dirtiness" of the car was "slight" but still justified the $125 charge. The company has not responded to my complaints and I am disputing the charge through my credit card. To me this implies unfair gouging of a customer.

Every car needs to be cleaned before renting. The idea that a car is not returned in the same condition it was in when rented suggests that cars are not cleaned, otherwise every rental return would be charged a cleaning fee.

My complaint is Budget at St. 00 for a 5 day rental!! Ridiculous!! 00 when I booked the reservation!! I had to call Budget to follow up on the matter and still the false charge has not been refunded! The car was dirty, smelly inside, dog/cat hair in the back window area, small insects flying around inside the vehicle and the ride was like a banged up car!! Worst ever experience!!

Booked my vehicle for 21 days. Pick up at orlando international Airport. 31477840TT2 my confirmation number. And drop of at JFK. On the 5th day I got a flat. Called the question I had to answer was unrelated to my troubles even thou I explained to the guys am on the side of the highway with 3 kids.

Sun was terrible and was so frustrated to change a tire on a vehicle we don't know much about. All we was asking for him to talk us thru but he kept asking questions. Eventually the call got drop cause my money ran out on my phone.

No one called me back. Thankfully there was a budget 15mins away. About an hour and ah half it took us to get the tire and change it and get to the rental place. When up to them counter and agent said he can't help and send us back out side to meet another guy.…

I was stopped by a pa state trooper who said the plate had expired and the plate was not registered to the vehicle I was driving. I was in front of my mothther in laws when he pulled me over and it was very embarrassing and stressful.

Also when we picked up the car at pitts airport there was no time to go over the car it was dirty inside and leftover bottles were left in glove box. I feel I should be compensated for the experience I had to go through for the company’s neglect.

Hello,

I rented a vehicle from the STL airport on July 17 reservation Rental Agreement 672192080. Due to lack of employees attending guests, it took over two hours to get the vehicle. Is it acceptable for your employees to be on their personal phones, not helping customers for extended periods of time, while sitting at the front desk? This particular employee completely ignored customers and the extremely long line for over 30 minutes. Once we finally received assistance and our vehicle, it was not safe to drive. Upon entering the highway, the vehicle began to shake to the point it was unsafe on the road. I spent the next 4 hours trying to swap the vehicle, and ended up returning it.

I rented a car from the west palm beach airport Budget they gave me a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I was driving from West Palm Beach to Asheville North Carolina. As driving North on I-95 we were right outside Jacksonville FL and the car suddenly stated it was going to Shut down while I was driving 75 miles and hour on I-95.

I was able to pull over to the side of the road and the vehicle stated the engine is commencing shut down. If I was not able to get over and the engine just shut down during driving this could have caused an accident with my entire family.

How can you rent a vehicle that has 67,000 recalls due to electrical shortages that causes engine shut down. This is beyond negligent. Not only could have my family suffered immense consequences but we could have also harmed other…

Only 0one sometimes two windows open. We have been waiting in line over two hours. Still at least another hour waiting. At least a hundred people waiting in line. The budget window is not open. Avis is handerling with windows. The situation is unbelievable. Horrible service.

This one African American women at the register told me they did not have the car that I reserved and that they can give me a different car for the same price. When I asked why I was not told as I could check somewhere else.

Rented from Las Vegas and returned to Phoenix after 3 days. Budget kept calling about where was the car. They ultimately billed us for 5 additional days, but will not provide me or my credit card with any sort of invoice.

I am pretty sure if I had kept their car for 5 days beyond it would have been reported stolen. I also suspect it was rented out immediately as cars at the airport were in short supply. So they get to bill twice for the car.

I have been fighting with them for over a year with no decent responses. Even though they ell you to leave the paperwork in the returned vehicle, somehow get a receipt you have returned it.

656375882 agreement number I have been doing business with your company for over 40 years. The service for this last rental was atrocious. It was the worst rental car experience of my life. I got online at your service desk and from the time I entered the line until I started the engine was TWO (2) hours.

The agents behind the counter took anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes per customer. There were only two agents and the line had at least 15 people picking up cars. I had to go to another terminal to pick up the car when the car was supposed to be in the terminal I landed in.

I prepaid a rental for emergency out of state trip rented for whole week for mu wife but didn't need for the week. I called on 3 separate occasions to change it was told just turn it in and I will be refunded look at card there's extra charges on there.

I rented a vehicle on Thursday, 10 March on the 100 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. I left the vehicle in the parking lot after I did the process and then paid for it. I came back to pick it up that evening upon leaving the parking lot, the vehicle seem to be moving, like dragging and making a weird sound, the brakes weren’t working correctly I had to go back up to the airport and exchange the car for another vehicle.

If I could give a zero I would. I just rented a car yesterday for a week. I have rented many times recently and expect to be treated appropriately. I pay in advance every time, and now have been charged again with the hold for the week.

Was told by customer service that I can't have the incorrect amount fixed until my rental is up in a week. They charged me a total of $800 now for the rental plus the $200 hold. No one picks up the phone and no resolution. Done with Budget.

My reservation number was 24575708US3. We picked up our vehicle on Feb 11th. The people at the counter were very polite and helpful but once we left with the van we only got 15 milies from the airport and te power steering went out on the van.

Getting a replacement was very frustrating. We were to be in Ft. Meyers for a wedding and had given ourselves 3 extra hours to get there on time. We somehow made it to a gas station and called the number for help.

It took 20 minutes before I spoke with an agent. She said she would send a text with updates as to when the tow truck would arrive. I had to make another call to request the update. Will never rent from them. 397 for prepaid. 45. i thought maybe it was because I put my aarp number in , it changed things. within 90 seconds I literally was able to chat with someone and explained the situation....

the charge had to be less than 2 min. old. They said there was nothing they can do that there is a 50 fee for canceling. Seriously, yes I get it, and was it error on my part, or the Budget system that changed things when i put the aarp number in? ZERO understanding.

I was accused of returning a car with a cigarette smell. As a 51 year old healthy female, I have never smoked a day in my life! Additionally, to be charged 450.00 for such is ridiculous. This seem to be a plot to receive monies from customers. As a first time Budget renter, I was warned regarding this type of issue by friends. I went against their judgement, and tried anyway. I was very pleased until this letter came in the mail. I was then told, "I told you so". This is an absolutely ridiculous claim.

I have tried to speak with customer service, but has been unsuccessful. The foreign customer service agent (Alex, the name he gave me), was so rude and mean. I have never had such a rude experience before regarding a rental before in my life. I am trying for 3rd time to get this situation…

Arrived 11:30 PM in Orlando with a family goup of 12 to pick up my reserved 12 passenger van. When getting to the counter, there were about 100 people waiting in an unmoving line. People not even halway throught the line said they had been there more than 1/2 hour which meant it would take me more than 1 hour to get to the counter.

There were perhaps 3 employees working the counter and taking 10 - 15 minutes to process each customer. Not willing to wait that long at that time of night with a tired family, I Ubered them to Disney. INCREDIBLY BAD BUSINESS MODEL to rent that many cars at the same time and not have the capability to process them.

Rental contract was not fulfilled by Budget. Confirmed reservation was for a full-size vehicle. The only vehicle available was a Kia Sportster. UNACCEPTABLE! I attempted to acquire a full-size vehicle the following day after talking to the 1-800 complaint line and speaking with a "supervisor".

Being assured a number of times that a full-size vehicle would indeed be available for pickup. I requested that this "supervisor" contact this location and verify that it would indeed be available. I was told that there was no need that it would be there. It was not.

Made an online reservation, paid full balance in advance prior to my arrival; only to wait in line for 4hrs. As I type this, I'm still in line! My daughter's in town for a cheer competition and she's currently asleep on bench like many other small children.

We're unable to cancel and book with another company because the reservation time had passed. On top of that, I paid for a day at the hotel that's currently wasted because I won't be checking in any time soon. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have received with my experience in renting cars.

There's one clerk working the desk, while over 30 of us remain sleep deprived, frustrated, and without means of transportation.

Had an oil leak on a Hyundai Santa Fe. Called roadside assistance. And they never came and got car. Got the run around to try to get to talk to someone on the phone. Not very happy with the whole experience.

My brother reserved our flight and our rental car for budget so when we got to North Carolina on the question was asked if I had a major credit card and did I have a returning flight I did tell them that I did not have a returning flight but I do have a major credit card but I won’t be able to use my major credit card I would have to use my debit card.

They told me in order for them to rent me a car I would have to use my major credit card and have a returning flight. So I called my brother he told me to go to another budget that is not connected to the airport so that’s what we did we took a Lyft to the nearby budget which was nearing inside the mall.

On the morning of August 9, 2022, I was taken by a van at the Holiday Inn where I was staying in Nashville to the Nashville Airport where I had planned on renting a car from your facility. Upon completing the paperwork at the Budget Car Rental location, we went to the assigned spot.

Instead of a car, there was a large commercial van. I returned and told them that I wanted a car and not a large van. The Budget Representative informed me that I did not have a reservation and that was all that they had available.

I told the Representative that I did not feel safe driving a large van such as this in an area that I was not familiar with. I also informed him that I was 83 years old and blind in my left eye.

Company is strictly about putting more money in their pocket. Made 4 trips due to broken promises each time. Went for the last time yesterday. Guy had been blowing up my boyfriend's phone and emailing him all last week. Sent him a picture of a charger because he knew he liked them and to get us to come back.

When we got there, he told us that it will be about $800 a month. We were looking for $500 a month and had stressed all last week and the week before. When we got there yesterday he asked how much we could put down on the car.

They ripped me off, as I patiently waited for their desk clerk to honor my $594 rental car reservation! Counter worker Rao said he was honoring my reservation, as he spent a LONG time working on his desktop computer that neither my family nor I could see.

We waited as Rao FINALLY said he needed for me to sign his electronic signature pad - something I sensed meant that he FINALLY would hand me the economy car that I had booked for July 6-12, 2022. And Rao DID get up to bring us a Kia Soul, as soon as I signed his pad.

I rented a vehicle, a GMC Acadia, trough Budget, contract n° 95720553, with pickup in Chicago North Clark St on Monday 08/15/22 and delivery foreseen at Minneapolis airport on 08/22/22. My contract covers full option of coverage. On the first day, shortly before arriving at my destination in Eagle River, Wisconsin, the dashboard indicator for defective engine comes on.

I drive to the destination and park the vehicle. On 08/16/22 I contact the assistance number at 10AM and inform my correspondent of the problem. He proposes a replacement of the vehicle and says he will ring back with the details.

We had a reservation for a cargo van for over a month, but when we called the morning of the reservation, they said they didn't have any trucks available and to call customer service. We called customer service, which said the inventory manager would call us back between 15 minutes to 2 hours.

The inventory manager did not call us back so we started calling other budget truck offices to see if they had any trucks available - we had a very tight moving schedule and had to move that morning. We finally found a cargo van available that was covered in graffiti and in New Jersey, which was an hour taxi away.

We tried to transfer the reservation but Budget Truck was unable to locate the vehicle, so we had to start a new reservation. We ended up spending an extra $100 on the taxi and another…

com for a Budget car but was told when I got to the Eugene Airport on July 28 that I still needed a 250 deposit which my European visa card would apparently not support due to different credit card rules. So I asked Budget simply to charge the 250 as a fee and keep the money.

They refused to do this and so I lost the 800 that had been paid in advance. While the rental car intermediary is largely responsible for this mess the Budget employee was inexperienced and unhelpful.

They took money they were not owed and charged late fees that were not late. I called and extended every Sat like clock work and the customer service did mot so their job saying i didnt call. They took my rent money they were not owed and customer service will not help nor will the office.

I tried and tried to reach the lost prevention and they dont answer the phones apparently was on hold 4 hrs one day and nothing. Im furious. Just poor service all the way around and they tried to repo the car even. Just sorry.

Rental SUV 7/22/2022. @ approx 3:30 Pm.

First they wanted to put me in a recked one, but my major complaint is the suv they gave me was dirty inside and out, because of COVID 19 I truly felt the suv should have been clean and disinfected especially inside, I had to wash/clean and disinfect myself. Because of this should I not receive a discount on my rental.

They set me up for a free one week car rental as compensation for repeat problems that I had with their company. 09. 00 on my credit card. Thiet supervisors never call you back, the reps hang up on you, the supervisors that you do talk to have smart mouths and go out of their way not to help you.

I disputed the charge and they lied to my credit card company with false documentation and denied that they owed me a credit despite the reservation that I had that clearly showed what I should have been charged. I have called over 25 times with no assistance.

Hold times are excessive and I can't find anyone to resolve my issue. I have funeral expenses that I am trying to take care of and need my money!

I rented a car from Dallas, Texas on June 5th.

The experience I had from the time of pickup was not pleasant. After the external inspection, we got in the car and drove off. After being in the car, we noticed the car had a foul odor. Their website automatically "helpfully" fills in your return location with the same as what you picked for your pickup location - it does this if you have to make any kind of change to date or time or surrounding area of the pickup. What's the problem with this?

It shows the wrong fee. " You know, cause when you go on travel god forbid you go without a f***ing car dragging you the whole way and want to enjoy your trip instead. This is on purpose to extract as many fees as possible.

They simply can't do business transparently.

I ordered and paid for 3 Car Seats. None of the car seats had proper straps for securing the babies. I was told this is all we have and nothing we can do about it. By offering and charging people for car seats they should be up to standards and in working order.

The Budget Employee "Simon" was very rude and was telling me just to sign the paper, I told him NO this car has been in an accident and the bumper is damaged.

I NEVER SIGNED THE INSPECTION PAPER he said there were no more cars and i just have to sign cause its on there and its minor, I asked him to specifically write about the front bumper cause its already sticking out and looks as if its just been pushed back in and on the bumpers bottom driver side it was completley ripped off.

he refused and again said its nothing. in front of him and my wife I bent over and push on the passenger front bumper…

Why at Charleston SC no other rental place has a two hour wait line but Avis/Budget? Unacceptable to fly in and have the excessive of a wait.

My name is Marvin Trueblood. On April 21 I picked up a rental car at the Des Moines airport from Budget. My pick up time was 5:00 PM. I left the airport not knowing the car was not full of gas, so at 5:21 PM at Quktrip at 4021 Fleur Dr. 51.

On my return on April 28th I filled the car with gas and went to the Budget counter and told the lady about the issues with the car when I picked it up on April 21. 51 on April 21 and agreed I should be credited that amount. 51 on April 21. 34 that I'm disputing.

In addition I have tried call the office at Budget in Des Moines several times and they NEVER answer their phone, why have a phone number if you don't answer or return calls, very poor business practice. 51.
