We reserved a midsize car to pick up at your location in Virginia Beach. We were told the only car available was an accord. We actually called the next day due to the car shaking when we came to a stop.

We were told sorry no more cars available. We even called your other locations around Virginia Beach with no luck. 69. 88 off our credit card. After talking to an Budget representative for about ten min. He was told I’m putting you on HOLD again.

My overall experience with Budget Rent A Car in Denton, Texas. The address is 1610 West University Drive Denton, Texas 76201. My order confirmation number is 00111574US5. I placed this reservation on 02/16/22 for a minivan for Thursday March 17, 2022 at 9:00am through March 21, 2022 at 9:00am. On Thursday morning 03/17/22 at 8:08am, Mr. Jeff called to tell me that the minivan will not arrive until 10:00am. So, I arrived at 10:10am to pick up the minivan. As I was getting ready to pay for the vehicle with my debit card, Mr. Jeff informed me that I needed a major credit card to purchase minivan rental. #Budget Rental Epic Failure. Imagine planning a family trip to Disney/Universal for months. Arrive to pick up your rental car you have contacted Budget several times to ensure everything is perfect. Then you run into a very unprofessional and grumpy Budget Team member with NO sense of humor and his is not happy that you waive the Budget insurance and you make a sarcastic comment to your brother and

On Saturday March 5 at CHS Airport there was only ONE customer service representative waiting on customers. The line was back pass baggage claim. This is unacceptable! If you are short on personnel advertisements would help. Seniors would certainly work and show up. This is awful!!!

NO customer service, rude agents that hang up on you, no way to speak to a supervisor. Bait and switch tactics on their website. Not given the type of car stated on their contract, ie, clean. I was given a filthy car with a broken left mirror and such bad stains on the windows that I had to cancel my road trip.

I could have lived with the dirty interior and the compact car but the windows were so hard to see out of I could not risk driving long distance with my children. Budget would not replace the car without me having to go back to the airport to pick up another one and it was just too late in the game for me to do this.

I was broke down near the Airport Dr location LAX. I was cold tired and soaking wet from walking to this location. I waited in line for an hour. When I was first 8n line I was told I would be refused service because I was carrying my ccw concealed weapon.

I told the manager that I'm LEGALLY carrying but was still denied. I will be filing a complaint as well as going to Fox media. I will let everyone on social media know how I was treated

I haven't even hired the car yet, just booked it. I checked in (as requested by email) and a charge of £860 was added for a young driver. I am 48 years old!!! So I tried contacting Budget but all avenues are closed for talking to anyone. no answer.

Then I realised I wod be charge 40p per minute for the priveledge!!! Please remove the extra from my booking now. I will be trying to claim back money for the sham phone call later.... Regards Thomas Benson

Last night, 11/19/21 my husband went to rent a car from your rental car agency at the Denver Airport. It was after midnight and National (where we had a reservation) was closed. He was asked my your employee for his Social Security Number!! He did not give it to him. After that, in order to complete the transaction, he was asked for our PIN number to our debit card. Unfortunately, my tired husband gave him that number. He then moved my husband to another machine, added in the PIN to our checking acct. The whole thing seems extremely fraudulent. My husband got a sick feeling, and canceled the transaction. He then had to cancel his debit card as well. He is now in Denver without a debit card.

Is this your policy and protocol to ask for clients social security cards and PIN numbers?

Rented a car for 3 days in AZ, they couldn't find my rental after 4 hours of waiting with tired and hungry kids, they downgraded me for the same price. I get in the vehicle and a few minutes after driving realize the front passenger seat side airbag had been blown previously.

Tried to call the 3 days of my vacation, with no luck! I returned the vehicle and show the guy directing traffic who says he will not it. Fast forward 3 months later and they are trying to file a claim against me for $12,000 dollars!

Total bullshit, the pictures they have are from a month after my return. If I had did that much damage the fucking entire side of the vehicle would be crushed. Never never rent from them!

I was in Ohio on business and I needed a rental car for one day. Budget had a white Kia Sol available and I only used the car to go to my hotel and work at a local hospital and back to Budget the next day. So far I thought everything was OK as the date of the car rental was 07/05/2021. To my surprise I received a notice in the mail stating that I owe Budget $543 for glass damage. Needless to say I was shocked and dismayed by this notice and I need proof of what the damages are and photos dating July 5th. I wholeheartedly do not believe I caused any damage to that vehicle.

I rented a car from Budget to be picked up at Palm Beach International Airport yesterday, 10/19/21. I reserved the car online several weeks ago and also did online check in (Reservation Number 47172943US6). m. There was a very long line and only one representative.

I waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes on line before it was my turn. The gentleman at the counter was very courteous and have no complaints about him. My complaint is the fact that there was a very long line of customers waiting to get their cars and only one representative working.

Budget had to know how many people reserved cars and approximately when they were going to arrive to pick up their cars but apparently made no plans to have enough staff to service their customers…

I left a sentimental value item that my father gave me before passing. It may not mean much to anyone but it means the world to me. On line it says they found my item to come mon 7-3pm and you can pick up from lost and found.

Today is 08-23-21 I went to airport at 7 am the ppl was rude told me I have to come back there's nothing they can do to help. The last comes in at 9and will help. So I returned still no help.

For anyone thinking Budget Rent-a-Car is a good idea. Take a few minutes to screen shot their advertisement and then look at what they charge your credit card. They will hold you to the amount on your credit card as I was told by a few customer service employees and supervisors "you agreed to the amount that shows on you credit card".

Also take video of every square inch of the inside and outside of the vehicle, reach into every crevice of the seat and everywhere else. Turn on the car, turn on A/C and heat, smell the vents and state for the video what you smell. Let the video record the sound of the engine. Ensure the video includes the Budget Rent-a-Car employee as documented witness.

The advertised amount is what they are permitted to charge by law and not a penny more.

I rented a vehicle in Tennessee at the airport for vacation. I did not get a check off sheet for damage. I unfortunately did not check the vehicle out before leaving the airport. At the resort I noticed there was damage to the vehicle.

I took photos of the damage and called budget to see if this damage had been documented,. The person I spoke with did not speak or understand English very well. He thought I was reporting that I damaged the vehicle.

Upon returning the vehicle it was checked in and I was told I was good to go. A month later I received a bill for the damage and a bill for loss of usage. I pled my case but because the photos were not taken at the time I rented the vehicle they were not accepted as proof.

Went to this company at Hobby Airport in Tx april 27 to rent a car with my daughter. She initially had the rental on her name but the front desk agent stated she needed a credit card. 22 confirmation number 38938220US6. Delta later changed my flight and on 5-17. I gave Budget notice my arrival time would change from 10 AM to 2 PM the same day. 61 additional charge although I prepaid. 61 charge removed. Three times I was transferred with the phone call ringing busy then being cutoff.

The fourth time the representative said any change would result in a new charge, I asked for a supervisor who came on and advised I would be provided information to make a complaint and upon being put on hold, no one came back with information. I have now wasted over 1 hr and 45 minutes without any hope of help.

On this date 03/20/2020 I was finally able to talk to a Budget person who was able to give me my case # 325 621 34. I rented a car from the Budget location at Lambert/St. Louis Intr. Airport on 02/26/2020.

Unfortunately, on Friday, 02/28/2020 I was involved in an accident. I was hit by another car. The Police Report number is 20-284, Des Peres PD. I was taken to Mercy Hospital Emergency Room by ambulance. After examination and a CT Scan, I was diagnosed with a concussion and discharged.

I recently helped a friend of mine move from Port St. Lucie FL to Dayton OH. You will not find my email in relation to the rental, they would not accept my card as payment because I was not driving the truck.

I just want to say that I have NEVER been treated so rude by the man behind the counter and he didn't care that the car hauler tail light didn't work. (He was also RUDE to another customer while I was there).

I sure wish I would have read the comments on YELP ahead of time, there is NO good commit to about him. Maybe you should consider finding a nicer person to represent your company.

I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, I turned in my undamaged vehicle then almost a month later I get an email indicating there was windshield damage, the car was checked and looked over by your representative and my receipt was provided indicating no damage because there wasn't .

The car was returned in the same condition it was in when I rented it and any charges to my credit card from your company beyond what I paid for the rental is fraud, it took almost a month to find damage, how convenient that you found it when I was no longer there to verify that it was or wasn't damaged.

Several items to cover in this complaint. Budget car rental reference no is 251486756 Requested Garmin online line when car was reserved. Was never told or quoted a price and it appeared to be a free service so I clicked on it.

I received the garmin but the girl at the counter had a lot of problems finding all the parts. We picked up the car which was filthy bugs splattered all over. Dried up food on the floors. Dings all over the car. Dust everywhere.

Rental Agreement # 249235733-We picked up our car at Boston Logan on 9/4. The car had a strong deodorant smell, but we thought it was just because it had been cleaned. We arrived in Lubec Maine that afternoon and began to smell a strong mold and mildew odor.

The next morning we headed south on the coast. The smell was extremely bad--in addition the header didn't work well. We called Budget Customer Service on Saturday 9/7 because by this time my friend and i had become sick form the smell.

21 July I rented a car from your Jacksonville NC. Airport for one day. After I signed my contract I went outside to look over the car and noticed i was being charged for 5 days and it was someone else name on contract with my credit card number.

I agreed to the upgrade and he told me that when I brought the car back that he would get the manager to approve the military discount. I rented a car from Dave Lyle Blvd in Rock hill SC on July 12, 2019 for five days I was asked to initial the contract which I did and he handed me the keys to the car no walk around with me. I proceed to get in the car and notice the windshield cracked and the seats were stained.

I'm writing this complaint for my father, C Edward Williamson. We rented a black in color GMC Yukon XL from the Pineville, NC location on July 10, 2019. We were in a hurry and got the vehicle and drove to our residence in York, SC.

We proceeded to load the vehicle and noticed then how dirty it was on the inside. The vehicle had not been vacuumed out and we found Pistachio nut shells in one of the rear cup holders. This was a concern due to one of our family members is highly allergic to nuts.

Rented at Salt Lake City airport. when we return the car the total bill was twice as much as I thought. 87. I explain to him when we picked up the car the person doing the paper work mislead me to think my insurance was not adequate.

So I signed for their insurance. If I knew before hand how much more the rental was going to be I would not have accepted their insurance. they never came out to inspect the car when we picked it up.

Had to change flights and fly into a neighboring airport and drive home instead of getting picked up. Budget was the 4th car rental I went to as the other three were completely booked out (no surprise Budget had cars).

I was given a price and I said that seems extremely high for a economy car. I was told if I was returning it to this airport it'd be about half that price (lie #1). So being desperate I took it and found out later a bunch of insurance was added.

I was then told to sign the screen which I did, never got to or asked to look over the paper work and pretty sure it wasn't easily accessible on the screen (scam #2). I was then told where to get my car and the keys were in it.

The worst rental company I ever dealt with !!!!! Avoid them like the plaque!! Gave me my discount , but at the rate of the "free" upgrade. Not my problem if they did not have the size car I requested. What a SCAM !

Budget Rental charged for additional services which were declined when offered. My husband was asked to sign the agreement in several places even though I queried what it was he was signing. Was told it just confirms the agreement !!

When asked to sign, nothing was made clear or explained. We were then 'stung' for additional charges on the day we dropped off the car. The charge was only noticed after we returned home. We have tried to resolve this directly with the rental company however they insist 'we signed therefore we accepted'.

I rented the car Tuesday 6/11/2019 from the Costa MEsa, CA Harbor Blvd location and on Tuesday night/ and Wednesday, the malfunction light went on and stayed on. I brought the car back after 24 hours as the person behind the desk said it would reset. When it did not reset, I brought the car back again and the woman said to ignore the light. I asked for the manual and said when I googled it, it said NOT to ignore a malfunction light.

When I asked for a new car she directed me to go over to the airport and offered no help or attempt to rectify in the way of compensation or credit whatsoever. My husband and I rented a car from the Budget car rental at the Las Vegas airport this past March.

First, the desk clerk was pushy about taking out their insurance. And I politely refused numerous times.

Second, the parking garage was so dark you couldn't do a proper inspection of your car. And, before you could get in decent light to do a proper inspection, you had to turn in your inspection slip to the clerk at the gate.

Four days later we returned the car. The guy checking us in looked at our paperwork and immediately looked at the windshield and said there was a chip. What he called a chip was a speck of dust. My husband ran his hand over the area in the question and said the glass was smooth and there was no defect.

Rented a car at Fort Lauderdale, Fl on April 2nd. The dirtiest car I ever rented. I should have returned it. When I returned the car on MAY 13TH, I left my house keys attached to the rental car keys.

Your people cannot find my keys, how can they be lost if they were attached to the car keys? I filled a lost report with no results. Your people just do not respond to customer problems.

My complaint is I had options when I went to Florida in April. My option was to Uber for transportation then I saw a nicely priced Budget and I choose the rental instead. This is a yearly trip for me and my son to Orlando.

Our reservation was for a pickup on April, 19th using my Fastbreak RM959M. I have used this for a few years with Budget and it has been wonderful. Our flight was delayed and we arrived at 1:30 am. We went into the parking garage and some employee said to look for my name on the board because the shack was not being manned at that hour.

Needless to say my name was nowhere to be found and we were instructed to go to the main counter back in the terminal area. There were literally 30 people in line and one Budget employee waiting on people. I told my son it could be up to…

I was charged an extra $120 for pet hair removal. I was NOT told about this charge BEFORE I RENTED THE CAR, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE VACUUMED MYSELF. When I called to ask, the woman was rude.

First she couldn't find any records of me renting a car and hung up. Then when she found it and told me what the charge was for and I said I was never informed this would be the case, she told me IT WAS MY PROBLEM. This is unacceptable!

I've never had such horrible customer service. This was at the Tallahassee International Airport.

We picked up our rental car Friday May 3rd at the Concord NC location. We had asked for a compact car and had been upgraded online to an intermediate car, no smoking. When we got to the counter the guy was rude and told us his computer system was a pain in the ass.

He then told us he did not have any cars and we would be moved to a Jeep Renegade. We had been in line for almost 40 minutes at this point. When we got to the jeep, there was a dent on the drivers side, the car was dirty inside and out and smelled of smoke.

We should have walked back in and refused to drive it, but we were in a hurry to leave so we took it. 00 just to be able to see out of the windshield. The smoke smell made both of our allergies trigger and it was miserable.

I am so mad I can't even think straight. I rented a car online to be picked up in Hanover MD on April 24 to 28. I was given a bill, in which I have already prepaid for charges. The customer service representative at the desk, indicated that additional charges would be added to the already pre-paid bill.

When I returned the car, because I could barely read the bill, a new one was printed. He started talking to me in Spanish, socializing, he is Indian and barely could speak Spanish but I was trying to be nice.

He asked that I signed the new print out, which I did, while we were talking. Upon my return home, I reviewed my credit card charges, and this individual has billed me double of what he has quoted me. I look at the new print out and realized that this thief has charged me twice for the…

I WOULD ACTURALLY RATE MY EXPERIENCE WITH BUDGET A -1000. I MADE A RESERVATION WITH BUDGET ON 4/24/2019 WHICH TOOK 1HR AND 15MIN TO GET THOUGH, I ASKED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP IF I COULD RETURN THE CAR EARLY FOR A REFUND SEVERAL TIME AND WAS TOLD YES. WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR THE NEXT DAY I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE I PRE-PAID I WAS UNABLE TO GET A REFUND, SO I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND SHE INFORMED ME SHE WOULD ONLY REFUND PART OF THE MONEY BECAUSE I SAID THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP TOLD ME I COULD RETURN THE CAR EARLY AND SHE WOULD NOT PULL THE TAPE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AND WOULD NEVER RENT FROM YOU AGAIN. I HOPE THIS WON'T GO UN-NOTICED BUT FROM LOOKING AT THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I'M SURE IT WILL. I know you have certain hours of operation but I at least expect if it’s pouring raining outside you can let the customers come in at least and sit down until you open, it was only 6 minutes away. Have some kind of compassion.

Debit Card policy needs to be explained much better on the website prior to a customer arriving and getting denied. I think you should just have a set amount and hold the funds until you return the vehicle.
