When coming up to the cashier, i very kindly said to the cashier hello nice lady to which she abruptly stopped me and said in a very rude way of speaking please don't call me that. I was dumbfounded, as I have never been so rudely answered by a cashier.
Perhaps it is her right to be addressed as a nice lady, but I truly do not see the harm in using such a pleasantry. And it really wasn't the comment she made, as it was the tone and attitude that was presented to me by her.
If this young lady has such a problem with every thing people greet her with, then maybe she would be better suited stocking shelves or some job not associated with dealing with the public.
