When coming up to the cashier, i very kindly said to the cashier hello nice lady to which she abruptly stopped me and said in a very rude way of speaking please don't call me that. I was dumbfounded, as I have never been so rudely answered by a cashier.

Perhaps it is her right to be addressed as a nice lady, but I truly do not see the harm in using such a pleasantry. And it really wasn't the comment she made, as it was the tone and attitude that was presented to me by her.

If this young lady has such a problem with every thing people greet her with, then maybe she would be better suited stocking shelves or some job not associated with dealing with the public. I went to my neighborhood Canadian Tire store this evening located at 1283 Barton St east Hamilton Ontario, upon entering the store I asked an customer service associate where to find a hardware item and I found the item and I was bent down looking for the correct size of the item when I stood up and attempted to turn there was a security man blocking me from moving.

I was startled as I am a 70 year old senior, I asked him to please move so I could go to pay for my purchase. The security gaurd became very aggressive and would not let me move. I asked the gaurd what was he doing and he replied " I am doing my job" and began to argue with me and told me " if I didn't like it I should leave the store and shop at another store.

I took the time to apply for a crappy tire card, for which I was preapproved. So I took the time to go in a verify my identity.

Then after all that. After they had already verified my address once they asked me to do it again?

To go back to the store and verify my identity again.

I even spoke to the store manager.

The store that verified my id assurred me they did fax it in. I checked.

Why would I repeat this step twice?

I'm so angry. They've wasted far to much of my time already.

They're unable to even answer the phone. Often before hanging up you hold for 20 to 30 min.

What does that say to someone as a customer?

Listening to the worst music and a fake ass recorded apology. Skip the apologies and get it together.

I own a 2012 F-150 5 litre engine. In Feb 07/2021 I bought a motomaster mot65, group size 65 850 CCA.. that battery worked good until Feb 25/ 2022. Where it needed a boost to start. I took the battery to canadian tire where they load tested it and determiined it was no good.

They gave me a replacement under warranty. The replacemant battery has worked good until recently. On Jan 31/ 2023 The truck sat for 4 days. I went to start it and it only clicked. I boosted it and it started.

After shutting it off it would not start again. I took the battery to canadian tire and they refused me warranty because the battery had froze. I guess it would being -30 last few days and the battery had died.

I have been trying to locate a replacement part for an electric snow shovel(Yardworks) that I purchased from Canadian Tire. ~! I am 62 yrs old and have , up until now supported your company by buying products from your store.

I estimate that I spend around 5-8 thousand a year there. By changing your name brands every few years, I guess that means no more support. My support for you is over.

My son stopped at Canadian Tire yesterday to pick up something for work. A fellow started following him around and asked him to sign up for what he thought was the Rewards program. As this fellow was not a native English speaker, my son didn't really understand what he was saying.

My son ultimately came home with a Canadian Tire credit card which he doesn't want. He didn't understand why the fellow went with him to the register when he checked out and had him pay with what he thought was the rewards program bar code.

I was already annoyed by being accosted by the Direct Energy people as soon as I walk in the front door and now this. You have just lost the business of our whole family. We now also have to wait for the bill to come in so we can pay it and cancel the card.

tried reaching out to customer support for a clarification on a work done with automotive section oof Brampton Canadian Tire Trinity Common . No one answers the phone from 5 pm onwards though the website indicates the stores closes at 10pm.

I do not think any manager exist at the store to manage it or the person has left early to enjoy the weekend leaving the store to interns to run. free for all.

I’m visiting Thompson Manitoba Canada for a will and when I was there on Jan 19th I encountered that the owner of the store was kicking drunk people out the store..this is ridiculous that despite having many security companies they don’t have security!! I feel quite unsafe being there! There should be action taken on this right away and they should call security for this store!!!

Just arrived to purchase a battery for my gate opener [a watch battery] when I was told they didn't have singles they offered a five pack at nearly five times the price. I had seen the one I needed on display which I told the cashier about but was told that they don't sell the ones on display.

I said we'll they must not be real then are they. She said o yea they are real you just can't have one. So like wtf I leave with no way to get my gate open to retrieve the plow truck to plow the main roads Iin this exact area.

Zero satisfaction zero customer service and I'll be going anywhere but Canadian tire in the future.

I was recently in a Canadian Tire in Chatham Ontario to buy a flashlight, I was directed to a shelf where there were 2 stacks of almost identically boxed Eliminator flashlights. 99 the stack on the right had no price identification I picked one up thinking they were the same light as the packaging was almost identical. 99 for the flashlight.

I went back and showed the lady at the Customer Service counter and we went over and appraised the situation. Another employee a woman came over and explain that they were 2 different lights and I explained that the packaging was pretty well the same and only one price was posted on the shelf.

Yesterday at around 450pm I called the CT store on Consumers road, asking what time the automotive dept closed. I was advised at 6pm. I desperately needed a car battery. I made my way over there. When I arrived I was told that the dept was closed, nobody is able to help me.

Recieved online order #0000021716552 Two packages of shear pins to fit a Briggs and Stratton snow blower. One of the packages had been previously open. One of the shear pins had no threads on the bolt making it useless. It is also obvious the defective item had been returned to CanadianTire at some point.

I am attaching a picture. You then resent the defective item to me. Why??? Send me a new item or refund my credit card.

Went on the CT website looking for a safe salt and sand mixture for my cement walkway. Located product sku 059-6989-4 Description indicates “ safe for cement.” Went to local CT store in Bathurst NB and purchased the product. Spread on my cement walkway. Later in the day my son started looking at the bag and questioned if it was the same product as described by CT. Checked the billl of sale from CT and it matched the description on the CT website.

To double check on product I sent an email to the manufacture of the sand/ salt mixture…WARWICK.. Company said they do not recommend spreading it on cement!!!!

Thanks CT…my cement walkway is likely ruined now due your company listing a “ safe for cement”product and supplying and selling another that is NOT recommended for cement.

I have a utility knife that I bought however it broke. Thinking that Mastercraft tools are guaranteed for life I returned to the Sarnia store. There I was informed I had no receipt Why would I some time had passed The knife was dirty so I cleaned before returning thinking I had done the right thing.

However by cleaning I removed Mastercraft logo. They would not replace it and asked if I would like to buy a new one. Why apparently there is no warranty even though stated there is. Could you help with this? com

This is the 3rd time I have gone to the Canadian Tire in Spruce Grove Alberta. On each occasion the online app said the product I was interested in buying was in plentiful stock. On each occasion the item was not in stock.

I have health issues and navigating your store is not easy especially when you have not stock. Is this how you run a business you want people to buy from. I tried to buy locally and now am purchasing online.

I brought y car in to get tire and rims put on my car. woman asked me to sign authorizing them to do so. Then the called head office and he said they cannot charge people cost that are not mentioned up front .

Then this is only after I called 3 times. He calls the store a woman calls me to explain the cost I paid was for balancing . I told her that I can read the bill. she told me regardless if I was told or not that is the fee.

I looked online for a knee brace at the brantford store. It said 2 available aisle 35. I went and not there. I asked a store worker if he knew where to find it and he said I don’t know, ask the girl in kitchen wares she’ll know.

She sent me to another aisle. Not there. Another lady in that area said they don’t carry them. I gave up on that and went to buy a car windshield wiper. The one I need was still out of stock so I seen another store worker.

I wanted to ask her how to find out when the item will be in. She cut me off and snarled I’m on lunch and walked away. I have never been treated that badly in a store in my life.

I will not go back there! I wanted to talk to the manager but thought it best to leave i was so angry.

It wasn't busy at Canadian Tire Listowel and I went in the store to purchase a Christmas tree I asked the guy for help to purchase a Christmas tree and he told me the Christmas trees were down there and to get a cart at the front but I asked for help I find the store is losing customer service when someone asks for service or help they should these two boys spoke Philippines to each other I found that quite rude.

I went and got my f150 checked for an electronic parking break error. So they found that some wirings needs to be done and then when they called back they said its the callipers. Im pretty sure its not cause i just had my winter tires put in by Ford service and including with that was the breaks checks and calliper.

So i said that I’ll check it out First with ford cause i just had it checked and they have information about it the service crew was surprised and wanted me to order materials right away, i declined and told them to put it back and I’ll have ford check it out.

They charged $334 for that and I complied, how ever when i went to ford right away they noticed that the callipers was not installed properly and it was installed backward. It was drivable when they checked it in…

Hi. I just want to complain one of your cashier last 2 days when we went there and asking for price match. One of your staff help me confirm that the item that i want to buy can do price match and we can buy it for the discounted price.

As a long time share holder and customer of Canadian Tire stock, I was very very disappointd at a recent visit to the store at Weston Rd. and 401 Hwy. It took 30 minutest to check out with my purchase as there was only 1 cashier for credit cards and 1 for taking cash.

The asiles were blocked by product not put on the shelves making it impossible to shop for some items I wanted. We all know there is a shortage of people to hire. Where is the management? Are they above cashing out customers or really just interested profit.

It is no wonder the Canaidian Tire stock is down when the stores have so little interest in customer service . Its a shame to let such a good name deteriorate on the 100 yrear anniversary. Maybe Canadian Tire as just had it too good in years past to care anymore.

Dropped my diesel truck for fix because service lights are on. Waited for 7 hours and been told it was fixed. But lights were still on. Paid 700$. Returned to ask why and been told need new parts. Waited for a week for parts and been told the light might be on still after their service.

They fixed nothing but charged me 700$. It is a scam.

I have a complaint about your policy regarding paying a bill, with cash, at the store. I went into the store to pay my bill with cash. 02 cents and therefore needed to be rounded DOWN. 05 cents. This is incorrect.

03 cents it is rounded DOWN. Why do you think your customers have to round up? 05 cents. This complaint is purely on principal and I don't believe your cashiers should be rounding up by law. I look forward to hearing the reason why you do this.

I went in the store from the main entrance , with a receipt of a product I believed I bought but forgot at the wicket. I reached at the wicket and genuinely grabbed the product whoch was still at the wicket but no employee was there.

I grabbed it walked through and showed the receipt and product to the other teller , who gave me a very dirty look and made me feel uncomfortable where it shows that the previous teller forgot to include the product whithin my purchase,s so i was accused of stealing it, supporting this by accusing me again entering form the exit.

I went today to do a car inspection at 20 Babineau Avenue, Charlottetown, PE C1A 0G1. When I was waiting there I was told that the car needs Front Left Outer Tie Rod and Rear Wiper & Wiper Arm. 9 (everything included).

I told them to go ahead. After the service was done, I paid and left. While driving I noticed that the car tend to go left. I turned back to Canadian Tire and told them about the issue. They excused themselves by saying that the car needs alignment after tire rod replacement and I have to pay another $99.

Hello, my name is Jonathan R. Rose, and I was absolutely floored by how terrible the service I received at The Canadian Tire, store #0497, at Heartland Town Center on Thursday, September 8th, 2022, was. I brought my car in at 12:30pm, with the intention of getting an oil change and tire rotation.

I had things to do later in the day, particularly an appointment at 5pm, so I asked if there was a long wait. I was told there wasn’t. I asked how long it would take to get my car serviced.

5 hours to 2 hours max. That was perfect.

However, perfection is far from what I received. By 2pm I was told that my car had several issues that required additional servicing. I declined most of them, as I wasn’t planning to keep driving the car much longer, but I did agree to get 2 of the 3 lights…

My girlfriend and I went to Canadian tire to buy work boots. since my girlfriend needed US 6, we only found the last boot in the store(it also sold out in other stores).

However, the boot and boot box had been damaged and dirty. We went to customer service to ask discount. The manager came to tell said no with a lousy attitude. He said:" no, we can throw it, but no discount for it," I felt so confused with that.

If you did not want to give us a discount for it, you did not need to be rude.

Hello, Canadian Tire has always been one of my favorite stores and for many many years I have bought a lot from you. Lately I’ve been having really bad luck with your products and have a really have a tough time trying to get them replaced.

I bought a car battery (eliminator) less than two years ago now defective but since I don’t have the receipt they cannot help me even though they had the date on the battery and it’s an Eliminator! Who else sells this brand??

I also bought an eliminator booster pack last year. I used it a couple of times and worked great. When I tried to recharge it, it would not recharge. And there are a few more examples. I just needed to let you know that I very disappointed in the products lately and beginning to shop elsewhere.

This is a complain about a worker called Khalil. I went to Canadian tire on alexis nihon, 1500 av atwater, H3Z1X5. Few minutes after I entered the store, Khalil kept on following me in the whole store and when I asked another employee, Khalil came and told me “you are not allowed to ask any employee, leave the store” and he called security. Very disrespectful and impolite.

He made the store lose customers. I would recommend firing him even if he is a supervisor. He still can’t follow customers and then let them to leave.

First I have been a customer of yours since the store opened at Alexis Nihon. I was in the paint section. Looking to match a wall with a spray can. I was dressed professional and was browsing. I saw that many used a little tab of spray to be able to view the color.

Different paint colors where everywhere along these cans. Unfortunately I did not see that it was indicated do not spray the paint. I saw a few employees talking and one woman looking towards me but I continued my search for the correct can.

In my opinion I had nothing to hide.

Finally this woman (employee) can to be and abruptly said did you spray the can. I said yes. She responded by saying she could call the police, That this is a felony. I am in the service industry have been a director of sales for a hotel for 40 years…

Heartland location - Waited 15 minutes at pickup, nobody came out so went inside to regular customer service. Cashier told me to go to Pick up station so as I was walking there, their staff member named Marco followed me calling me rude and why did I walk away when the casher was talking to me.

This was harassment as he called me rude over and over. I told him I did not want to deal with him, to leave me alone as I was going to deal with the cashier at the pick up station.

He continued on and said that I looked down on them, which I do not. This is unacceptable behaviour from anyone, let alone a staff person at a company. I will never shop at Canadian Tire's Heartland location again. m.

Hello There

I went to Canadian Tire auto service to replace rear break pads and disc and paid 476$ for both sides . One week later corrosion appeared on one of the left hand discs , I went back to the auto service and verify that the pads were not touching the disc itself that caused rust , so they said that there's maybe parts defective but I wasn't convinced as myself is an Aircraft Engineer and i deal with Aircraft mechanical component every day. The disc and pads was replaced . the week after the same problem occurred on the right hand side after feeling some vibration in the pedal and rust appeared on the disc again , I went back for the 3rd time to the auto service and they end up replacing the pads and the disc again for the other side and this time they admit that the pads are not…

Racist / Theft following from security and staff. Ironically this location sits on unceded Lekwungen land. I have no crim record. I was shopping for a childs birthday gift. This amount of intrusive following, including the barely veiled contempt for indigenous folks.

I walked out after respectfully not purchasing the product. I came back in to confront management and that was unsatisfactory,as this racializing and discrimination to First Peoples is consistent in Victoria. I have been followed twice in both Hillside,And View Royal.

I called their office last time,and nothing comes of it , except they want you to literally get a employees to escort you to your area. The diversity of staff makes me think folks have no choice but to work here.
