I've had an credit card account for several years. My credit card expired 7/31/22 and I received a new card in the mail. On the new card, my name appeared as Ronald Gould instead of Ronald J. Romano Gould as it has always been (that's my legal name).

I called Capitol One 2 separate times to correct the issue and spent over 2 hours on those calls. I did not change the name on the account. I understand that you as well as myself would like to find out what happened but I was put on hold for extended periods of time and the representatives said that the could tell the date the name got changed but not by whom.

I asked that since my identity was established, could they please just transfer my account to a new number and correct the name... I was made to feel like I was a scammer or something…

I am switching from receiving statements on line to mail because of in my deterioring 88 year old memory to requesting statements and invoices by mail. I have had no problems with companies like Schwab, American Express, Amazon and so on and was able to do it on line by clicking a button. But with Capital One: after calling the number listed on line on how to cancel paperless delivery :

1. I was transfered to different people 7 times. 2 I was asked the same questions 7 times. 3. My telephone number had to be verified by a separate call. 4. FINALLY----the last(7th) person told me I could not change since when I opened the checking account I choose wireless delivery. She suggested I close the account and open a new one!.

This is preposterous.

I had an account with Capital One for about 10 years and in that time I was never late or missed a payment. Saturday 23rd of July I was online paying my balance on my account after I posted my payment I noticed a late charge.

I called and asked why I had a late charge. I was told that in June I had paid the balance of my account on the 19th but my cycle was on the 21st so on the 20th when I made a charge for gas it was billed the next day which in a couple of weeks it was due.

except the one time in June.. So I thought everything was ok Then the next day when I was getting gas my card was declined . I called and ended up talking to a supervisor I asked her to remove the block on my card and she could see that a payment had been scheduled for the next day.

I paid my credit card before the due date. I thought that I was doing a good thing. I was wrong now ii was told that i could not use my credit card until Friday or Saturday because capital one decided to put me on hold because they can do that.

I was notified today by capital one fraud department asking if I had made a purchase to Five Guys which is a burger restaurant. " And logged into my account. There were five back to back purchases made online for Five Guys.

They wait till the fifth transaction before notifying me. I immediately called the number that was a part of the text message. I was concerned because the gentleman was asking for my bank account number as well s as debit card number so I hung up on him and called Capital One number from their website.

I was charged an interest charge to my account regardless of my last statement balance being $0. When I called to talk to rep, they told me it's because of the timeline of payments that brought it down to 0$. I relayed my payment history to show that it was in proper timing. I ensured the rep that a previous 45+ minute conversation with a different rep told me I would not have interest charges if i did x, y and z as those were my financial plans to bring my balance to 0 and alleviate any debt I had.

They called a specialist to review my phone call history, BUT, only the last phone call I've made to cap 1. The conversation I had about my plans were not the most previous conversation I had with cap1. So they record the phone calls, but only go back 1 phone call for information verification.…

I wish to give 0 star.... I was charged a $25 late fee for paying my cap1 bill at 2:15p EST on July 16th. The due date is the 16th of each month, I have a recording that I made of a supervisor telling me that I can not make early payments, must be made on the DUE DATE!!!!! DAH!!

She said that I can't make payments in advance.... YES! I HAVE A RECORDING OF A SUPERVISOR TELLING ME THIS! CRAZY HUH?

I went to make a charge I got the verification text that it was me I said yes but it was still declined I called them and they said we thought it was a fraudulent charge but now we know it was you are able to use it for the purchase.

I tried again it's still declined I called again they said oh we deactivated it a couple days ago for the system saying there is fraud on your card. They never called emailed nothing to tell me about this I had to find out while trying to make a purchase a couple days after they did this.

I told them that the previous customer service person reactivated it after I verified that every charge was from me but still nope we have to send you another card. They don't even know what they are doing one said it's reactivated the other says it can't be reactivated…

Cap 1 decided to freeze my business card due to suspicious activity, but in their infinite wisdom, they didnt decide that it was something they needed to share with me! As a business owner, I can not fathom how that makes sense. I was told it might be a technical error, so I asked if I would be informed when that is fixed - and of course, they said "no". Apparently, they dont have outbound phones, emails, or any responses when things are fixed.... so I guess I will just keep calling to make sure that my card can still be used? One of the blessings of having monthly recurring payments is that they are out of sight and out of mind, but when I have to re-enter a card number, I might be tempted to use another business card.

Way to go Cap 1, I now get to go find another company to spend money…

False advertisement. Say you can get paid 2 days early but Gere it is 2 days early and no direct deposit. I appalled. The only reason I switched from netspend to this garbage was for the early direct deposit. I will be switching back immediately!

com but cancelled right away. The funds were put on a pre-authorization making them unavailable. Once costco released the funds, since I didn't purchase, I needed access to my funds for an emergency but no one could remove the hold despite knowing the pre-authorization was no longer valid.

Absolute circus dealing with customer service personnel who seemed to not care about urgency especially managers I spoke with. What a nightmare. Still going thru it. If I could give a zero, I would.

I've been a capital one customer for over 25 years I have a bank account there and a credit card I bought cars through capital 1 but now I've been sitting no longer doing business with capital 1 they keep sending me advertisement to connect my credit card to PayPal I find this incredibly offensive PayPal empty my bank account and left me stranded 2 days before Thanksgiving and unable to pick up my 2 autistic children from day care Even though they were in the wrong they did not do anything to make it right I had to wait 10 days to get back my money they illegally stolen If capital one is gonna continue to offend me I'm going to leave and

My wallet was stolen and fraudulent activity was made on my card. It was difficult to get my card turned off, more difficult than all my other cards. They wanted to verify things through their app, which was on my phone that was stolen (with no other method), and requires me to send a picture my driver’s license (which was also stolen) before they would even review anything.

None of my other cards required this. When I finally got my ID and sent it to them, their link said it was being reviewed. 14 days later I still don’t have a card from them, though all other cards have arrived and they tell me I need to send my license again.

Their authentic process to just add a phone number is extreme. I was on the phone all day on and off with them and wasn’t able to add my phone number. They kept saying that my id picture kept looking blurry when it wasn’t.

They offered me no other options. Manager Haily did nothing to assist or try and resolve the situation. So now i am unable to use my app because i can’t add my new phone number. Extremely disappointed

Good afternoon my name is Mr. Gregory J. Volkens, use to be good customer of capital one credit card holder and capital auto finance. I had capital auto financing for a car 5 and 2/2 years. Never late not every miss payment.

I also had capital one credit card both pay off in full with missing not one payment nor ever late. I Receive weekly or monthly correspondence in mail for a credit card and I'm pre approved. I recently applied for a auto car loan and was denied.

They say that you can make changes online to your travel plans but in fact you cannot. I submitted the flight change which showed availability but instead of confirming they said someone will contact you by email within 2 hours!

My husband and I were flying on the same flight but with different bookings. Delta app made an instant flight change with zero cost difference. An hour and half later after talking to two different capital one representatives I finally got a flight change of just $320!!!

In the morning when I tried to make the flight change online it showed a $170 difference which I chose. Since they don't really allow changes online, the first representative then told me the flight change was now $250 but she got disconnected from me.

Paying my minimum due payments every month and getting and still getting charged interest fees has been frustrating and disappointing! I will not recommend Capitol to family and friends unless this issue can be fixed. At this point making payments of $69 each month and getting charged an interest fee of 40 something Dollars has been brought my balance down and at this point I'm just throwing my money away with Capitol one. As a customer of Cap One, I have noticed in doing the banking process, this bank fails to process and credit customer accounts in a timely manner. For same day transactions the account should be credited back for immediate use no matter what.

I made a transaction and the money was immediately credited back by the merchant, just like it was removed from the account within seconds by the bank it should have the exact turnaround time. Now I have 3 credited transactions sitting in the bank system on july 1 from june 30th and still waiting for my money to become available on a holiday weekend.

Make it make sense, time to do some new financial institutes shopping, they becoming a liability.

I went into a branch to make my credit card payment on 06/27/2022( day before it was due), the teller apparently put the payment in another account. I am being charged a $40 late fee that their saying I have to wait 3-5 business days ( not acceptable ) also I have to wait 7-10 business days for my $100 payment to post ( not acceptable ) I should not be penalized for Capital One employees mistakes.

I made my payment on time. I want my account to reflect that now, not 10 days from now.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE: on Feb 10, 2022 I made a $7 purchase on my phone. 99. Capital One sent me a text saying: Hi, it’s Capital One. Did you just try to make this purchase with your Bass Pro Shops CLUB card ending in 4545?

On 5/07/22 I received correspondence from Capital One Auto Finance stating that my automobile loan was paid in full. Upon receiving this information I used the extra money to take care of long neglected repairs around my house. On 5/22/22 I received an email stating that my account was pasted due and I would be charged a thirty dollar late fee.

Unauthorized transactions, Capital One will not refund my money stated I was scammed and I sent money when I did not. The money is insured and the lack of empathy and customer services I have received is unacceptable. I have gotten 4 different answers, therefore not everyone is on the same page when I ask to speak with manager I was told they are not trained to speak to customers and/or I can file a complaint and they will respond in 15 to 20 days.

If you have any accounts with them close them and go to another bank. My account has been compromised 3 times so this tells me they do not have the necessary security measures in place to protect customers accounts. I will continue to tell my story and write negative reviews until I see results.

I have had a 360 Money Market account for several years with more than $400,000 in it. Lately it's been paying .3% or about $110 per month.

Last week I discovered that a new "360 Performance Savings" account has been offered for the past two years or so, paying .8% ( now .9%)

Why, for two years, was I NOT notified that I could have simply changed from the 360 Money Market to the 360 Performance Savings and increased my monthly interest payment to $290 per month - about $180 per month more ?

I feel there has been a betrayal of my trust in Capital One and that for the past two years I have missed out on $4320 in interest and this amount should be credited to my account.

Capital One has closed most of its bricks and mortar stores in my locale. The only ones left open are inconvenient to use since they have no parking, and it becomes necessary to pay for parking. I prefer to bank in person, not with a machine.

The daily cash withdrawal limit using my ATM card is $800. This week, I am planning to withdraw $2000 in cash (for vacation). This means I will have to make three separate trips to an ATM for the total withdrawal. This is a nuisance.

Capital One maintains several local ATM machines (unmanned). The Capital One ATM that is the most convenient to my address is located in a small glass utility "shed" that is filthy and disgusting. Each time I use it, I feel I need to go home to take a shower.

Jan 22 2022 a purchase was made from a Home Depot website for sale outdoor furniture. The site didn’t seem right so I called Home Depot and was told that website is not them they said cancel the Oder so I called Capital One and explained and had my card cancelled card and was issued a new one.

com. But the seller never shipped any items to my home address! It’s a fraudulent website, it’s a scam! I called capital one bank to dispute the charge and I get my money back. But the seller provided a fake tracking number as a proof of delivery, so capital one charge back from my account.

I called UPS customer service and received a email from UPS that can shows the package with the tracking number the seller provided was delivered to someone else home! Not my home address! I ordered 4 bags of gum that each bag’s weight is 80g. 3lbs!

TJ (ID # LTU452) was a supervisor I had the displeasure of speaking with today. I learned that my cc account, which I did not have access to since last Sept, was negative. I called to find out how as it was paid down to $0.

The rep told me it was my annual fee, I asked how I had an annual fee on an account I couldn’t access. The guy stammered around a bit and eventually I asked for a supervisor as he seemed to be guessing.

Supervisor TJ informed me that the Acct was still active (I found out I had no access to it last year and ended the conversation on amicable terms with no notice that although I had no access I could still incur an annual fee so I was upset and I will not lie I was hot on the phone with my sole objective being to reverse the annual fee and close the account.

Two weeks ago, I tried to deposit a check through my mobile app on my android phone that I have been using for over a year (phone) into my account that I have had for over 10 years and make constant deposits through the app.

I received a message stating "We've Hit a Snag ,,,, Looks like your account needs attention before you can make this deposit. To sort it out give us a call at 1-877-383-4802"

I called the number immediately, and after about 20 minutes with a rep who had no idea why this is happening, he suggested I go to the bank. I refinanced my be vehicle with capital one in Sept of 2021. It is now June 2022 and I still have no title. I have called several times only to hear ,” we are “working on it”. ” It should in no way take 10 months to get a title completed following a refi!!!

I was traveling and trying to use card. Spoke to representative over the phone to be able to use card with electronic pay. Stayed on the phone with the agent for over an hour to get the touchless pay set up.

After hanging up with the representative and going into the hotel to pay for my room Capital One blocked my card and wouldn't allow me to make any charges before calling into a 1-800 number to verify information. When I called the 1-800 number the office was closed and I was unable to use my card.

Thankfully, the hotel recognized me as an honored guest and allowed me to check-in and pay after resolving the issues with Capital One Bank in the morning. When I reached out to the fraud department in the morning the representative was unwilling to help verify any information. Their system…
