VA, as well as the Roseville location. I have been honest and forthcoming throughout the process. The severe lack of communication is very concerning to me. I will not disregard the level of professionalism within customer service itself. However, it has been a grossly unpleasant experience and a waste of my time and money. I feel like information was given to me just to get me in the store. In the future a more through and complete review of information would be appreciated. You have eternally lost a loyal customer. I was promised no more surprises unfortunately that wasn't the case. I was told my car did not have to be registered, after 4 hrs twice..... they still did not honor their word... Roseville carmax is not honest...

I bought a car in installments at CarMax for more than a year. Since I was buying a house, the lender required me to pay off the car. Escrow paid the whole amount with the balance two months ago, so there was excess money, and they had to refund me.

I contacted them and provided my correct home address. They scheduled me weekly to send the check to my house, even though I waited two weeks. I contacted them, and they said to wait another week for the check. But it's been four months, and I still haven't received my refund check.

My mailbox has its own key, so it can't be stolen. Very disappointing.

I have been complaining since the beginning. I ordered a EV Chevy Spark, paid to have it shipped and once it arrived I found out the its battery was failing and cancelled that order (VERY UPSET), then requested a gas model, had that transferred, was assured by the Vancouver WA location that it was inspected 2 times, it was in good working order and

the only thing wrong was a worn driver side seat. NOT TRUE. Within two days I had check engine lights going off, sensors that were a problem, the dealer looked into it and someone overrode the sensor but didn't fix the issue. I fixed that.

Then again the light went on, it was the headlamps this time. I fixed those! Then the driver side tire sensor goes off, I find out that the SUPOSED new tires were not new and installed incorrectly, I had…

Liar liar pants on fire! This company promises 125 point inspection, a tune-up and oil change in all of the above when presented with $864 repair bill for a the original Factory OEM spark plug that froze in my cylinder number 4 that had over 108,000 miles on it, they claimed unfortunately spark plugs are not something that we cover Or check.

I explained to them that basic maintenance before reselling a car asrefurbished that has 108000 miles is l change spark plugs to which they replied, we don't do that. "

They are lying, cheating, fraudulent, con artist! They play games and they're good at how they play them cuz they've mastered them at this point. They repossess my cards 20 months after purchasing it and never being late or delinquent.

Told my lender they wanted to unwind the loan from them cuz they did the title wrong. Never one time should not one word to me either companies 7 months after they bought my loans for my lender without telling me they took my car and told me to give them 13,000 to get it back after it's already been paid for!

How are they not being charged with theft and I'm sure plenty of other shit because they took it off of my credit report because they were doing shady shit!

They sold me a car with a cracked rim and then after i noticed air leaking told me that was wear and tear and wasn't covered now after my 90 days up and 2 new tires and 1 rim i find out my old rim has 2 cracks in it the whole time cause i haven't hit anything to cause it i haven't even been driving for a month and

a half cause i was sick. Thru OnStar i saw my tire has been loosing air since 1am on May the 2nd and I bought the car on May 1st put the 2 new tires on and it still was leaking until the Tire Plus shop showed me the cracks in the rim and i had to buy a new one.

I have a vehicle that has had to have the same part replaced 3 times. It has already gone bad again. I cannot get in touch with Carmax service department to schedule an appointment to have them look any car.

My local Dodge garage doesn't know why it jeeps going bad. Why did I get Maxcare if I can't get in touch with the Hickory NC garage to have my car fixed?

I purchased my car 2 years ago and about 6 months after the front bumper stay and cover separated. The salesman told me about the repair and assured me that it was fixed. I recently went to get am estimate for repair and the estimate is for 1100.

This is an expensive repair that I would have to pay for that I did not create. I've tried to reach ot to carmax in Stockbridge several times and haven't been able to. I'm usually left on hold listening to music until decide to hang up.

I've emailed as well and haven't gotten a response. I just want my car repaired. I've attached pictures of the issue and my hold time from today.

On August 14th, at around 1:30 pm I went to Car Max Murrieta, Calif Service Dept. I spoke to Stephanie Simpson in regards to on going and Sporadic Electric problems with my vehicle 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We had communication issues because messages were passed to my husband.

My complaint (s) with her were, I am a customer in person, Ms. Simpson was: 1) also on the phone with her child talking about Ice Cream and Chicken Nugget’s. 2) doing her Chemistry homework in plain site in front of me and other Customers.

Bought a 2014 Ford Escape in June of 2023. When we got the vehicle we were told that it had a full tank of gas and that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. We got in the vehicle to drive home and it was on empty and then we had to take it and have a tail light replaced that was out in the back.

We took back to CarMax a few days ago and told them that there was a vibration when we were stopped at stop light and that we felt that there was something wrong with the motor mounts. They kept it for 2 days and called and said that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and that we could come and pick it up.

The vibration kept getting stronger in the vehicle so we took it to a mechanic and had them look at it and was told that the 2 lower torque mounts were bad and needed to be replaced…

I chose 3 cars from Carmax within a 2 month period, 2015 Chevy Cruze, no brakes and very dirty, drove the car off the lot, on my way home, tried to stop and had to press very hard all the way to the floor, very scary. Returned the car and chose a 2018 Nissan Sentra, loud noise when started, not offered a test drive, liked the car and took it home.

Within 10 days, took the car to Nissan to check it out, the transmission had to be replaced and electrical problems. Returned that car, I now have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, the car was given to me filthy with water stains and towels in the seat where they tried to clean it quickly.

The car was not washed. But the most terrible thing is, each time my credit was run. even twice in the same day because my address was not entered correctly,…

We have purchased 2 lemons from CarMax with little to no help from the service Department. My son bought a Hyundai Veloster about 1 1/2 years ago and has had trouble out of it every since. It went back to the CarMax service center with them half way fixing some little things, but the main problem was the driving funny and the noises it made.

Every time it went back they would tell us there was nothing wrong with it. The service dept. is hateful and will not listen to reason, so tell me why, within a year, we now need a new engine. Very unhappy mother and I will advise everyone I know to never purchase anything from CarMax.

Hi there, I have been with CarMax for almost 2 years and it has been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Accounting is abysmal and my payments get bounced back every single time I try to make one. Customer service is a headache and there is no way to waive more than one late fee even if it isn’t your fault when you aren’t notified a payment has been rejected.

I have late fees and missed payments despite having plenty of money to give you. This again has been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had and I will recommend to anyone I hear talking about buying a car from CarMax to run the other way.

I will never have a good word to say about this company based on my experience. I could run a tighter operation with left left ass check.

Paid $599 to transfer truck from Texas to Greenville, SC. When seat heaters turned on heavy cat urine smell. Loved the truck, but not willing to risk smelling urine when heat turned on. Local Carmax took a day to ready the truck and is clear that they did nothing.

Prior owners clearly had young children. Waste of my time and $599. I brought an approved loan and had insurance ready.

On Friday May 26th, 2023 I requested a test drive of a vehicle at Carmax South Sacramento, CA. 5 hours before being helped, but this allowed me time to review the car I was interested in test driving in detail.

I looked at the car inside and outside. At that time, I did notice a small horizontal scratch on the rear bumper.

However, I did not inform anyone of the damage as I thought inventory damage would be duly noted the company records. I'm sure there are camera's in the inventory lot, and they will confirm that I was looking at the car between the hours of 6pm and 7pm.

I brought a 2014 red impala car, my radio and antenna went out. When I took it to the dealer they said it was water down by the spear tire. I'm Case manager the only things that in my trunk is food from the pantry and clothes for the homeless.

What I think that CarMax sold me the car like that. I could be wrong but if I'm wrong how is the water getting in. 00 from Chevy dealer and still no one can tell me how did the water get there.

I have a vehicle loan with them. I understand the need to pay my bills on time. I recently had to be hospitalized and tried to get a deferment. I hadn't had the car for a year yet so obviously I fell behind.

I got caught up finally but hit another issue. I am now two weeks late. Guess how many times a day these people call me? 3. Guess how many times they're ALLOWED to call me? 1. I'm going in to make a payment tomorrow but the harassment from them doesn't magically produce money.

I don't suddenly win the lottery because they call 3 times rather than one. I actually get serious anxiety now when my phone rings. How is that okay?

I just left the lot in Dothan, Alabama on May 17th with a 2019 Toyota Camry. I had an issue driving home that I needed the discuss with Steven, my sales agent and when I called the Dothan office it routed me to the call center to a very unhelpful, lack of customer service skills, lack of customer service skills individual.

His tone of voice and the way he spoke to me was appalling, and of the lack of motivation to do his job correctly. If a senior manager could please pull this call and see just how unprofessional he was he would be fired or written up.

Was preapproved and approved for a vehicle and was told the car was mine and congratulations but next day the vehicle was sold. So I talk to the manager at the local CarMax and he said it looked like the process never went through, which I’m like she told me the car was mine and I had a payment date and everything.

He responds was he don’t know but this morning I get a email from CarMax telling me my credit for vehicle was denied. As a 100% disability veteran this is a horrible and confusing situation and will be talking to other veterans about this experience

We bought a car less than 12 months ago and the tires are already dry rotted, the ball joints, control arms & bushings are broken. This shouldn’t happen when buying a 2019 car from a dealer like carmax, not within a year.

This is unacceptable & carmax is refusing to do anything to correct their poor performance and business practice. We were lied to, we were told the tires were brand new at point of purchase & that was false information.

When you sale your car if you forgot take any object no matter how important it is for you the service department employees take everything in only one hour you loose the right to get the article that you let inside your car .not body know nothing about it ,that is terrible for the store because it is a good car dealer but look like some delinquent person are working on that department .if necessary at least keep the objects for 24hours that is a very aggressive attitude with the client…sorry for my English

Over 4 months ago in 2022 my son paid cash/cashier's check made out from delta credit union in Newnan, GA 30265. He flew in from Brazil... where he lived to treat me to a used car for my 70th birthday. Hello, My complaint starts after I got the fiat 500, in Sept, 2022, CarMax had it, for a minute (day or so) and said there was nothing wrong. I went to get my own diagnostic test. and there was plenty wrong, so they had the car for a month or more, although I understood, it was a waiting period for parts.

I was patient, but it seemed like forever, they tried to keep me updated, and this was the second time in the same month (Sept). Got an offer on my car but had to wait for the title to be put in my name. I was told by carmax that once it was in my name, they could request a paper title. Now I’m told by one of the sales people that even after the title has been released, i still have to wait another 30 days before I can sell it.

my car is great but Carmax customer service is shit! we recently received active military order to go overseas and wanted to ship the car. we were give. the run around saying we could but then we couldn’t. obviously we can’t have the title because we are still paying on the car.

then we reached out to the shipping depart and asked if we could ship the car. They said Carmax can’t ship internationally. okay that’s fine but then we proceeded to ask can we ship the car if we don’t go through you and ship the car internationally with a third party.

I foolishly trusted in this outfit to have inspected the car I bought. It was so obvious the pre-inspection was not even done so as a result I had to deal with a couple of issues after purchasing the car.

I live 50 miles from the dealer and on the way home after purchasing the car the engine check light came on indicating a recall item had not been dealt with which I actually asked about and was told it was taken care of ( in writing! )!

Also on the way home the tire sensor light came on and the next morning The car would not start due to a dead battery. Carmax did replace the battery and the fuel injectors and one of the tire sensors but this had to be done locally and was a right royal pain in the butt when if they had actually inspected the car in the first place the issues would have…

We have bought 5 cars in the last 2 years from carmax and most recent we had a huge issue with the ford explorer and Jeep renegade.

First off the ford explorer had a bad wheel bearing and transfer case leak. the wheel bearing almost caused a huge acciident on the 635 in texas because it was so bad and grinding metal. We took the explorer in as we spoke to Neil Solze in the service dept.

Found out 58 days after purchasing 2017 Tahoe that codes were not showing on dashboard. Took car to nearest dealership due to air conditioning not working. While checking car steering and break problems were noted. Dealership contacted us and gave us information for Carmax as we are still within 90 days of purchase.

Carmax Arlington has not returned calls when promised and have consistently sent us to voice-mails. We have purchases a car from them 3 years I'm a row at Ft Wortj location and this has been a horrible experience and we are discontinuing shopping with Car Max.

I bought a 2015 Toyota Highlander from Carmax in 2022. I bought it from the Anderson Address in Ft Wirth Tx.

The car has always pulled slightly to the right. I thought it might need a front end alignment.

The right front tire wore completely out and went flat. I took it to a tire dealer, who then told me the problem was the tire was not the same size as the other tires, it was smaller. That’s why it pulled to the right and wire out so quickly.

When I called Carmax, they would not do a thing to rectify the situation. They told me I should have brought it back sooner.

My granddaughter was driving the car! They put her life in jeopardy by not thoroughly examining the car like they claim they do. How could any dealer let a car leave the lot with tires not the same size.

My ENTIRE car buying experience has been a disaster with car max. From the initial website browsing, to financing (ran my credit 3x) down payment, picking up the vehicle, registration and tags, the entire experience. or they DO NOT communicate with one another. ABSOLUTELY nothing went smoothly.

All I got was the continuous " I'm so sorry" then I'm passed off to someone else (a manager) who has no clue what's going on. it isn't. I WILL NEVER make a purchase with car max, and I WILL NEVER recommend car max to anyone.

I had a 10:00 AM appointment to have the engine check light checked. When I got there I was told my appointment was for a drop off. When I told the service person that no one told me I had to drop it off, he then told me a service tech called in and I was 4th on the list.

A 10:00 appointment means 10:00.

After reading some of these reviews I have also experience everything that these persons has gone through and more. My wife & I have been loyal of CARMAX since 1975 when we purchased our first used vehicle which back than the vehicles were supper clean just like new.

Now it all started back in last week of November when we purchased a 2013 Ford F-150 Lariat. The following day after the purchase I found out it had an oil leak coming from the motor turned out it was the gasket from the oil pan.

Also there was no tire jack and there was a missing cover on the passenger side of the kick panel. Some scratches were still visible which were deep enough to see primer. Now as of Jan 2023 we are on our 6th vehicle which I also found out it had either oil leak or coolant leak after a test drive.…

After over 24 hours of my wife communicating and submitting papers to car max, she was told come on in to sign papers and pick up her new car. Upon arrival, we were told to sit and wait, after which we sat and waited more because the person she communicated with and the person we met with, we’re on two different planes of existence.

We sat with a guy who was extremely condescending. He asked my wife to show him what was already sent, to carmax. What is the point of doing anything online if we have to redo everything in person. Wasted an entire day plus whatever we spent at the dealership. Overall, extremely unsatisfied

In the past when I have bought or sold with Carmax the experience has been quite good. However, I just want to say that my last transaction purchasing my 2022 Tesla Model Y Performance was a little disappointing.

I first saw the Tesla on your website at your Pharr, TX location. I live here in Omaha, NE. I was aware that a $749 transfer fee was available. While studying the description and the photos I did notice a few things in question. I attempted to get some answers at my local Carmax but was unable. So, I called the Pharr, TX Carmax and got a salesman named Phil. My complaint is definitely customer service oriented. I began my search online and found a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox (vin# 2GNFLEEK7G6180420). After filling out trade-in information, I was offered $15,000 for my vehicle and I began the process. I spoke briefly with Eboni Jones (who I thought was an employee at the actual facility in Woodbridge).

She was responsible for having the vehicle shipped to the Woodbridge location for my test drive appointment. I found out later at the time of test drive appointment that she actually worked in the call center. After finding that out at my test drive appointment, I was then assisted by Danielle Griffin.

To whom this my concern: I'm very unhappy with the customer service in the service department of morrow GA. When you call no one returns your call , with that being said I have to get in my vehicle and go there Which I shouldn't have to do.

Then when you finally able to get a appointment for service there's no call for updates on your vehicle and you call no one returns you call, now I have to go there to get updates. This is very unprofessional and some adjustments need to be made. Thanks in advance

I went to carmax to get an appraisal. They came back and said my seats were stained which was false. Car had smoke smell I don’t smoke and after that they gave me the amount which was very low for a Diesel truck in high demand.

They told me to come back before the offer expires which I did and then they had me do more paperwork which they did not tell me about when I got the appraisal I had to get some dmv paperwork signed and notarized and this was the day before my offer expires so I get that done then they say I have to get a recall fixed on my truck which I did they told me as long as I get there before nine pm I will be able to sell it I got there right before closing before nine and
