List of Problems Do yourself a favor and check your accounts throughout the trip you’ll be surprised . The beds are a baby twin size bed so getting up with no back pain is not going to happen. Mind you we paid for everything ahead of time, because we are from California and this still happened to us on our first cruise.

Between my wife, myself and our two sons, we have been on close to 40 cruises with Carnival and are currently Gold Card Members. We boarded the "Freedom" out of Port Canaveral on March 4 and sailed through March 9, 2023.

I am disabled and have always been allowed to board early to avoid the rush and numbers of people boarding. I have a very back back as well as other bad medical issues. If i get bumped even slightly, my back and other issues arise that can (more than likely) will cause such pain that I would be rendered useless for 1 to 3 days.

I have called and filled out this form prior to this email about our last cruise on the Mardi Gras in early June of 2022. Never received a response from anyone. Bad experience- on second night we ate in the large dining room.

I booked a cruise for Mar 19 through a phone agent. The agent assured me that it will be automatically withdrawn from my account for the payment. I reached out at the end of January, for another reason, and so happened to find out that Carnival CANCELLED my reservation.

I received NO CORRESPONDENCE about this at all. I wouldn't have even known. When I tried to escalate and speak with a manager, the manager said he doesnt care and there's nothing I can do but pay $115 to reactivate the booking.

At thus point my original room was already gone. I paid . They assured me everything was fine. Then 2 days later, I called back to confirm and to also change the room members around to accommodate minors. The agent said that is possible and will do it free of charge.

Carnival had put a swingers symbol on my door prior to our check in. This is our first cruise with my family who cruises all the time. People have been looking at us all week when we enter and leave our room.

We googled what the upside down pineapple meant and was disgusting to find out it means knock to swing. This is disgusting. We went to customer service and was told it was probably the people who had the room prior and took no responsibility.

I got a ton of attitude from the manager putting the blame on us. This is disgusting. I will be putting the photos online for any families who book with such a disgusting cruise line.

We sailed on the week 11/12/22 to 11/19/22 on the Carnival Pride out of Port of Tampa. We have cruised on Carnival many many times and this is the first time I feel the need to write a complaint. We were very delayed in Tampa from deporting due to unforeseen circumstances. I have listed below a few issues my husband and I experienced during this cruise:

Booked a Christmas cruise on carnival, I made a big mistake of not checking my college students final exams. She has a final exam on 20 December two days after we leave. What student in college isn’t home by mid December.

If she doesn’t take it, she fails the class. I find this out for weeks before or sailing. I called carnival they say no problem call the day before or email the captain she should be able to get on in the Bahamas.

I book her flight to the Bahamas, make arrangements for transportation. I called three days out from the trip just so there wouldn’t be any delays in the email to the captain of the ship. They tell me she can’t get on the ship.

I am a platinum member and just returned from a cruise on the sunshine. This was by far the worse cruise I have ever been on. I use to tell everyone that carnival was the best of all cruise lines.

I can't say this any longer. The food was beyond bad. The braised brisket on day 1 was like shoe leather. The choc melting cake had no melt eaten twice. It was like eating a hard choc cake. The waiter had NO personality.

Etsel one of your fun crew was so over the top flamboyantly gay it became annoying. It was like being ata LGBTQ event. I would like the choice to go to a LGBTQ event not forced into it. I bought 4 cartons of cigarettes and specifically asked the young man how many I could buy without dealing with customs.

My son went missing for hours on Mon. October 17, 2022 leaving from the Port of Tampa on Cruise Ship Paradise. It was a birthday celebration gift and his first cruise. I had not seen him since 9 pm that evening.

As a single parent I became frantic as the hours passed by. We had no way to communicate with each other. I reached out to security and at times was treated as a suspect in my son's disappearance. I understand the incident caused and the inconvenience to passengers and crew.

Thankfully, my son Louis was found after 4 am sleeping in a cabin with a young woman he had met. Louis and I were threaten with various punishment including casting us off at the next Port of Call with little resources to get back to the USA.

The problem for Carnival cruise is that they are more interested in selling anything to you. But Carnival doesn't care if you get what you paid for or the quality of its service.

The Carnival sold us for transportation from Terminal in New York to JFK airport, but a lot of people waited outside at terminal for hours, no bus showed up, the bus stop service people recommended us to call taxi or Uber to go to airports.

What was worse is that it's extremely hard to contact a real person from Carnival customer service phone, website because Carnival doesn't care.

I will never recommend to go cruise again with Carnival.

I am a travel agent for over 30 years and have over 30 cruises under my belt. I decided for my anniversary to go on Carnivals biggest ship MARDI GRAS out of port Canaveral. The Carnival Ship Spirit sailed out of Miami, through the Panama Canal and into Seattle, arriving in Seattle May 3rd, then out of Seattle to Alaska. Had to cancel cruise due to vaccine mandates for covid, they would only issue our refund on carnival gift cards, was told that is new policy. We will not be booking another cruise so the gift cards are of no value to us.

This was our third cruise booked, the first two were canceled by Carnival due to covid. We feel this is wrong, they really screwed us by giving us gift cards. We told them my husband cannot get the covid vaccine due to health issues, we asked if they could send our refund a different way so we could use the refund, we cannot use these gift cards, we feel we were treated very unfair.

I’d give them zero stars if I could but can’t so they earn a 1 star out of default. We have been loyal carnival cruise line goers for over 5 years, taking 2 to 3 cruises a year prior to covid.

In 2020 hit, we had 2 cruises already planned with another we were getting ready to book. Carnival, of course, cancelled their cruises for 2020 and offered an on board credit for rebooking the cruise which we opted to take looking forward to cruising again.

Half way into the cruise my daughter and I were informed there was something wrong with our account. So we went to customer service and was told they couldn’t help us and go back to the casino and arcade who then sent us to customer service.

The young man (with darker skin) didn’t take my card, couldn’t tell me why we were notified and cut off. At that point I paid $8000 cash into my account . He looked at me and fully implied my credit must be bad if I was applying cash to the account.

False charges for “COVID” testing. We were never tested, rather I showed the carnival check in staff our negative PCR TEST email results. I stood in the guest services line ON THE SHIP for just under an hour. While staff was pleasant, I will not pay for something we never received.

Due to government warnings and personal fears due to the coronavirus I cancelled my cruise scheduled to sail May 9, 2020. You charged me a cancellation fee of $300, in addition to that I lost $130 for vacation protection plan and another $51 for your WIFi plan.

I had a this cruise planned out for over 6 months. I had put everything in place for my children's birthdays My daughter's was January 16th and my son January 19th. Our trip was to leave on the 16th of January and instead spent 6 hours in my car outside of the parking place on my daughters birthday getting emails and text updates every hour with the same information over and over that the port was closed.

Finally at 7pm they told us that they were not leaving that evening due to fog even though Royal cruise line left that evening we all saw it.

Also the cruise was changed to a 3 day from a 4 day and we were not going to our destination in fact we had no destination. I called Carnival cruise and spoke with Nikie who told me we should still go because there is a lot to do on the ship.

We are seniors from Dayton Nevada. Booked same, Traveled 525miles by car to the Long Beach terminal. Booking # 8vsx91/8353 for 9/21/19. Unfortunally being seniors and with all the excitement of our 30th anniversary cruise, due to our hurried packing we accidently dropped our Pass Ports under our bed,therefore leaving our passports at home unknowingly traveling that long mileage distance without our pass ports.

I have been coming with a group from Michigan every 2 years. We have another one scheduled for Feb of 2020.

I booked a cruise last year to Belize. It was my sons 1st cruise and I wanted it to be special. There was a storm and we were rerouted. This can not be helped, however we live in South Florida and can get a cruise any day of the week to the Bahamas free if I gamble $99 at the most. I was not even offered a free drink. I got injured on the Cardinal Elation that Sailed to Amber Cove, Dominican Republican that sailed June 29, 2019 -Julie 4, 2019. M. My God-daughter, Jescinquay Taylor had to help me to Medical. One of your staff was notified prior to me going to medical and he just insisted that he didn’t see any water but the stair could be be be slippery that why the decorative lights are on the one the bottom of the steps.

Who looks at decorative lights as they are walking on steps? It’s your staff member job to ensure those glass steps are not slippery with people come in from the pools and hot tubs all day. My fall was witnessed by Chandra Brooks, Consenna Solomon, Valerie Wright, and Illya Odom.

I went on the Paradise to Cuba and Cosumel and for the first time I got a suite. The suite was fine except for the couch made into a bed and it was horrible to try and sleep on. We took padding from under the bed,and covers off the twin beds to try and make it better,but it didn't.

The absolute worst thing was the stench that filled the room from the sewage, it was constant, we were in room U102. I WON'T EVER GO ON THAT BOAT AGAIN!! I love Carnival and my next cruise will move me up to the next level, please check into these complaints. Thank you, Leslie Thompson

My sister bought a credit for me for on the cruise for my birthday, and I didn't realize it. My dad tried calling and they said they had to talk to me. I tried calling twice and when I attempt to have them call me back so I don't have to wait on hold I can hear background noise when they call and no one picks up.

My family is very upset that I was not made aware of this credit of $125. My sister has tried calling and our travel agent tried to help. we bought earrings and a watch on the cruise so we spent well over $500.

Went on sunshine, 4/27/19 for 8 days. The cabin was dirty, husband moved sofa to set up his cpack, it was dirty, curtains had stains all over, with holes in them. Told room steward he did vacuum, but told us it would be days for curtains to change.

Went to customer service, they did change them and gave dinner. The rug in room was stained, shower head was broke. Baloncy glass was dirty, looked like my dog noise prints all over. The ship smelled like sewer. Not enough entertainment, co Host to game show couldn’t read, and next show was 70-80 movies, she said I’ll look on phone, she said it was a mistake, everyone corrected her. Food was good.

All desserts had no flavor. Eat a lido deck and one night there wasn’t a worker to be found, all tables were dirty with plates. 00. Rooms were…

Pool area with water slide closed being demolished during cruise. No disclosure on website,or on cruise itself. Daily itinerary showed the area being available. Caution tape and workers demolishing the area when we arrived at deck. Registered letter sent to corporate office.

Unable to contact and discuss request. A company form letter arrived offering $100 credit voucher for future cruise. Buyer Beware!!! Our trip cost $6,000 for a cabin with a balcony for a 2 week cruise to Hawaii. Sent letter as outlined by this website. No resolution offered.

We have been invalidated as passengers as we contacted the ship steward, help desk and finally the corporate office. This is Fraud on all levels.
