Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unresolved Fraud Dispute

I am writing to formally complain about the way my fraud dispute was handled by Chime. I recently discovered that I had been scammed over the course of an entire year, and I immediately contacted Chime to report the fraudulent activity and request a refund for the unauthorized transactions.

During the call, I spent over an hour speaking with a representative, thoroughly explaining the situation. I was shocked to later find out that the agent failed to document anything from our conversation. This lack of professionalism and follow-through is unacceptable, especially when I was clearly reporting a serious case of fraud.

Hello,

I'm still not sure why my account was completely closed. I was sent a email to check the Amendment and Cancellation disclosure which has a ton of information which I have no clue which section applies to me. I recall at the time my account had a negative balance for awhile due to no employment resulting from Covid. I never had any fraudulent activity whatsoever. I googled why a Chime account is closed and that is all I can find. I would like so much to re-open my account as of now I'm in a better financial situation. I would like to request Mediation, Abritration or get in contact with the Corporate Office or Ceo office.

I am writing to express my escalating dismay and frustration with Chime's handling of my disputed transactions. The continuous dismissal of my appeals, combined with the glaring oversight in acknowledging critical evidence, paints a distressing picture of Chime's approach to customer care.

Despite presenting photographic evidence - two selfies taken at the time of the disputed transactions - clearly demonstrating my absence from the transaction location, my repeated appeals have been met with rejection. So I referred a friend to chime and basically we didn't get the 100$. to sending her spot me. That is a scam as far as I am concerned.

Somehow "Chime" allowed me to overdreaft beyond my spot me limit. I initially tried the chat support feature for assitance and an answer. I was transferred 4 times. Each time I had to repeat my question/issue.

Finally, the next day I tried calling and was practically brought to tears by the way I was treated. The represetative just got more and more condescending and seemed determined to deflect fault on anyone but Chime. I finally had to just hang up the call and give up on asking for support.

I've been waiting on a refund from Walmart since 2022. December 27th. I've disputed it 3 times an chime investion team was investing the wrong card. It's been 9 months an I know Chime has the order numbers to the items I've disputed.

Now they tell me I have to do it again. They have the proof of my orders I cancelled before they shipped the products Chime said they had to wait until I get the products before I could file a dispute.

I told Chime to cancel the entire order before they shipped the stuff.

Also I closed my credit builder account an I can't get it cashed any where I'm disabled an chronically ill an they're taking my money from my disability ck. If this can't be resolved in the next 7-10 days I will file with the courts to get my money back.

I have been trying for a week now to close my Chime account. I never wanted an account with Chime, but my niece sent me money using Chime, and I had to open an account to get it. I have transferred the money out, so my balance is zero. I keep getting emails about my Chime debit card, which I never activated. I just want to close the account.

Their help section says you can close the account using the Apple app for Chime. I don't have Apple. I have Android. I sent an email to support@chime.com and got a response with a link for a chat. Chime credit builder hurts your credit I deposited $2280 in my credit builder account and they reported to to of the credit bureaus that it is a open account my credit score went down 65 points because of this so I lost points for depositing my money in the account contacted them and was told that’s how a secured account works and that it will show paid in a couple of days and

Terrible company. Just lost myself and my dad and my wives direct deposit accounts over falsely advertising to get me to get direct deposited than not giving me a 100 or who referred me after I went through the trouble of switching so plz don’t be fooled also.

This is the absolute worst move I could’ve ever made as far as my money goes. , they will all tell you the same story with no resolution. And there’s no way to get a hold of the people above them, the ones who are “responsible for handling problems with your money”.

I have had nothing but problems since the very beginning w Chime. They cannot even help with the little things because they are not qualified to handle consumers money. A monkey could do a better job!! You will make a mistake, as I did, if you chose them.

Account was suspended now 31 days ago for absolutely no reason. There's alot of money in my chime accounts. I've sent every bit of information they've asked for and more documenting every paycheck I've received, every deposit I sent last 90 days of my other bank account where I get direct deposit and transfer into Chime every 2 weeks. I am the husband of an account holder with chime. Permission and authorization was given to me on a recorded line with a chime SUPRIVISOR. She was no help and was very short and rude. She did not use profane language that is true but she was very rude with out profanity.

I did say one cuss word and she gave me a warning and I did not cuss again and she threatened me and hung up on me. Very unprofessional and unecceptable I am appalled at how they handled it and I want answers.

I also want a resolution to my original dispute of a pending transaction I would never use chime again it’s awful as of now. I transferred 35$ from varo to chime instantly but chime says it takes 3-5 business days that is ridiculous they give no forwarning warning as to that long of a wait.

I am trying to get refunded for a transaction from their Pay a Friend feature since the money went to an account that the recipient no longer has access to.

My brother who is the recipient contacted Chime to regain access to his account but they are unable to verify his home address. We asked for other forms to verify the account and he was told he has to email and wait for a reply which could take days or weeks.

I called Chime four times with three representatives disconnecting the lines.

I got a new phone and installed the app. Updated my password and haven't been able to get into it since. My SSA payment is deposited there. Won't let me login as my driver's license is expired. Even though just 6 months ago I had same id.

I can't verify my phone bill was paid and I can't move my money to savings or have no way to do anything. All I did was change my password and now my money is up for grabs. I have to move next week and can't make my down payment and I have proven my id kess than 6 months ago.

If I could give no stars I would. Somehow the credit builder card chime sent me all my funds were transferred to this card from my checking account. My paycheck and my tax refund. I attempted to contact them several times to get assistance with moving funds, and the agents didn't know how to help and couldn't assist me.

The app was not working. I then emailed their support to have them cancel the credit builder card and move my funds to my checking account. Instead they canceled the credit builder, but now my funds are in limbo and they are not sure when I will get them back.

They claim within a month. I am just livid as they represent themselves as a bank, but they can not do simple bank transactions, as told to me by the representative and supervisor.

On December 12th I made a request to have my husband email changed, and the idiot changed mines instead of my husband. After several attempts they updated his account, they never fixed mines. I didn't ask for anybody to do ANYTHING to my account, so YOUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT took it in themselves to change my info, now I can't long into my account.

I been doing everything that the people been requesting but still no results. If I can't get into my account TODAY, imma just close my account and go some places else with better customers service.

Funny how when I first got this account they said you would get your money faster than payday. The first month or so I did. After I paid tons of fees to deposit cash and paid to withdrawal my own money; now it comes the same as payday.

Unfortunately, as much as I love having Chime; I'm disheartened as well. This has been the 2nd time that Chime has returned 2 of my transactions to pay bills due to insufficient funds. I've had that money available on both occasions.

So not understanding WHY this is happening. I shouldn't have to babysit my Chime account transfers, too make sure my bills get paid. So I've now had to cancel them out as my only external account transfer. Super bummed.
