my wife accidentally made a payment on her mom Citi accnt. her mom is deceased & the accnt is closed. $500 posted on 4/5, the payment was intended for our joint accnt. date, amount, routing & bank account #. He put a temp credit of $500 on my accnt on 4/16, but removed it same day.

I called again when I saw the credit was reversed, was told the case was closed. It is not. called again yesterday, gave all info again, routing , accnt, date, amount. was told may take weeks to be fixed. The payment was made in error, needs to be reversed, plus late charge, & f/c reversed.

I am retired and do long RV trips to visit family. I recently opened a Citibank Shell card because of the deal on gas. I could save 50 cents a gallon on the first several purchases. Citibank opened the account with a very low limit and on the trip, I went over the limit. I tried to make a payment to bring the balance below the limit and Citibank wanted me to accept terms that required me naming them as my attorney in fact and giving them a power of attorney, something I was not willing to do.

I also tried to get Citibank to raise my limit and they refused to do so but raised my limit on a Citibank Sears card by $5k that I do not use because sears has closed all of their stores near me.

Citibank refuses to provide any explanation for their stupidity.

I am a elderly black woman that receives benefits through my Citibank checking account. Recently Citibank issued me a new card and then flagged my account and placed fraud alert on it when I made a claim against charges I did not recognize.

I have not been able to get my government benefits or access to my funds within my checking account. I do have access to my savings account that doesn't have much money in it. I have been given the run around and treated as if I am a criminal.

I have been banking with Citi Bank for over 14 years. I have not received any letters or anything else from Citi Bank.

Awful experience. They blocked my card after a $200 purchase and after an hour long conversation on the phone refused to unlock my account without a mail in verification from the fraud department. completely ridiculous being held at the register for this bogus phone call.

Their customer service department and supervisors did not care at all and I wish there was a system in place to give a review directly to city bank but im sure they would be full of negative reviews. Never again.

I made a mobile deposit on 9/20/23 of a refund I received on my student loan from the department of education. The next morning my account was restricted and when I called they directed me to the fraud department. The fraud department asked a few questions and said it was under review and would be 24-48 hours before they could tell me anything.

They said to call back the next day. I called Thursday the 21st and Friday the 22nd with the same results, nothing. When I called today the 23rd, they said my account was closed. 00 and the money I already had in there.

I do not understand any of it. I want my money refunded.

This is NOT a COMPLAINT letter. It is a THANK YOU letter, since today I rec'd my card by DHL, and letter with PIN by FedEx. I was very surprised to see both vans stop in front of my house almost at the same time!!! Still have two questions: 1) Why it took almost 8 years to get a replacement card (after so much heartache and lots of expenses), of course there is the old saying "better late than never", and 2) the toll free numbers from Greece to USA do not work. Do I need more numbers since we are calling from overseas? I would appreciate a letter from someone explaining the delay!!! The card was activated on the PC. Again, thank you for your attention, response and resolution to my problem.

I pay my Citi Double Cash credit card through the "billpay" function of my checking account at USAA bank. They cut a paper check and put it in Uncle's snail mail system which has resulted in my card being declined for late payment.

USAA tells me electronic payment cannot be made and that this is Citi's choice. I have other cards which they pay via electronic payment which has been entirely satisfactory. Citi's rep (when I was finally able to reach a "human"; I hate your telephone tree choices - poorly structured) tells me electronic payment can only be made by me calling and providing proper account ID each month.

This is inconvenient when other large credit firms accept electronic payment from my bank. Why can't Citi do this? This is my primary card - but that is about to change if…

8/232/23 placed an order to two airline ticket to Europe and the transaction was rejected by Citicards. Call Citicads customer service to determine the reason for the rejection and was told I have a fraud alert on my account and I need to speak with the Fraud Department.

After I answered the Fraud Department question, I was told that they could not do anything more until responds to a letter they will send to me. This did not make any sense to me and I asked to speak with a supervisor.

He confirmed nothing could happen until I receive the letter. Today, I was paying my my monthly bills and asked the Customer Service Representative for the Thank You Points balance in my account so I could obtain a statement balance.

I closed my Citi Accelerate account on 8/10/23 and have not received the funds. It took 10 phone calls and 4 online chats just to get the account closed. It was locked because I had not made any transactions. Today I had to act like I was opening an account just to speak with someone!

I work for Edens Corporation and we service Septa my station is in Strafford, PA and I have to use the Strafford branch as it is the closest to where I work and their is not another one on my way home. Yesterday 8/28 I arrived at their drive thru and waited five minutes before I was acknowledged.

I was then told there was one customer ahead of me. I told the person that they did not have that many cars parked out front and he told me in a very nasty way that they were busy just the same as Septa is busy and I answered that we don't ignore our customers.

My issue is that people that use the drive thru at Citizens are treated lower than whale crap. We are the last to be serviced while other banks have a teller dedicated to the drive thru so we wait in line while anyone walks thru the door…

Cancelled a purchase for wine in Oct 2022 immediately after purchase. This was to be shipped Nov. 1. Received notice from Citicard of opening dispute. Merchandise was never shipped therefore. Amount of dispute: $15,085. Sent ALL required emails and documents by registered mail and then by 4 separate faxes as we kept getting asked for the same info several times.

Phone calls to customer service dispute dept revealed they were waiting for response from merchant ( Oct, Nov, Dec,Jan, Feb. )Received a credit on card in Jan and then it was immediately reversed and charged back to our card. Finance charges and interest charges were removed.

I have reached out in regards of a debit card transaction that I should’ve received a refund on. I haven’t received it and haven’t been able to get in contact with anyone who works for the company I am waiting to reimburse my refund.

I contacted my bank to dispute the card. I was told to fax a hand written letter to request my dispute. I have sent three and still haven’t received any further information. To be clear this is on for a provisional credit.

I asked for an email and was told there isn’t one but someone else offered me an email. I also sent via email. I’ve called and was told look out for an email. This is my second account. I was hoping this account would bring me smoothness and easy access and so many things just keep going wrong.

On June 23, from about 8AM to 10 AM, when you called the Citibank phone number, it redirected you to a medical alert company. A bot named Jessica (not really a bot, a recording, as she always said the same thing) came on first and said it was a special promotion. Then, no matter your response, it connected you to a medical alert call center.

The people there said they have no connection to citibank. They had no phone number or way of connecting me to citibank.

This happened repeatedly.

After 10AM, the citibank number started to work again. I tried to report the problem to citibank, but no one will take my complaint. It seems their number was hijacked.

I got a card Diamond preferred so I can do some quick balance transfers ! I have credit score of 830 and business cards from BOA , Amex and Wells Fargo . I wanted to get something fast as one of the 0% rates was about to expire on my existing BOA card!

Never again will I get citi card - their customer service are absolute trash on steroids! I had to wait for a card for 12 days - before I could make balance transfers (because apparently citi card is so special I needed a physical card for BT ) - after getting the card I proceeded to login and verified my card in the app!

Then nightmare began - I couldn’t transfer as they have some password which I didn’t even know about ! Yet I logged in without any password just fine on the iPhone app! So I had to call the mentally feeble representatives…

Citibank assisted scammers and refuses to make restitution of our loss. com, we received a company check for the agreed price plus extra for the movers, who would be collecting it among other pickups. This is a known scam, although we did not know that at the time.

I deposited a $2900 check and asked the teller when the check should clear. He said the funds were already available and the deposit slip read the same. To be safe, we phoned Customer Service, who also verified that the check was good.

We then sent via Zelle $1950 to the "mover". The mover failed to show and the buyer asked us to remit the balance back and cancel the purchase. We said no, send the Zelle back first and we'll refund your check.

Suspicious now, we called Citibank again to cancel the Zelle but they could not.…

I have been with Citibank for many, many years and with this particular branch in Placentia for several years as well. I have several accounts with them as well as a safe deposit box. Over the last couple months, I have had an issue with my safe deposit box and cannot get this resolved.

I have tried to have my safe deposit box transferred to the name of my TRUST, since I am updating my TRUST and this is how my attorney is asking me to handle this. I have been at least 5 times to this branch talking with 3 different people, and not one of them knows how to do this transaction.

My newly opened checking account was initially approved. I received the debit card and appropriate paperwork, but I was unable to activate the debit card, which is how I discovered the problem. The new account had been summarily closed without explanation. I received my refund tax advance and did a mobile deposit for that check in the amount of $3200. A few days after the funds was deposited into my account my account was locked. I called for assistance only to be told my account was under investigation for fraud.

No one could tell me why. After weeks of going back and forth I finally got a representative that spoke good English and she told me the check was flagged as invalid because the photo upload for the mobile deposit cut half of my name off.

I feel like if someone would’ve told me that during my initial call I could’ve sent a better picture of the check for verification. My account was closed due to miscommunication from representatives that can’t provide correct information or can’t provide assistance.

Today I got a marketing email from CITI regarding checking a FICO score. I clicked on the link, went to the site, but the check FICO links did not work. So, I tried to be a good customer and report the issue via the Chat AI. That is a waste of time, frustrating. CITI apparently cannot afford human CSRs anymore.

AI Chat tools are worthless, they can only answer FAQ questions and nothing else, that is a waste of my time.

I live in Spain and have been trying to make wire transfer for a month and after calling long distance from Spain to Citibank I still am not able to have accsess of my money. I will have to go to USA and close my accounts.

I have made 14 calls and my identity has been verified several times but the block on my account hasn't been removed. I am doing it from my home computer since the APP can not be downloaded on my phone.

They have promesed to call me and do not do so. I have a list of the calls : 2 on April 1 at 2pm, 6 on April 2 erley in the morning. 2 on April 7 around 1:30 am.

On march 13 I attempted to cash my tax refund check to Citibank, I was informed that it would take 24 to process, I than was met with the branch manager at the location in Torrance California who met me with a very negative attitude and kept belittling me with his words, which led to me asking him to leave me alone and I proceeded to cashing my check with the representative at the counter.

The West Hollywood Citibank branch on Sunset Boulevard has got the worst customer service in the history of banks. Complaining gets you nowhere because the internet is filled with bad reviews of this location yet it's still continues to offer horrible customer service or dare I say, non-existent customer service. Changing banks to a better one is such a time-consuming ordeal, and that's the only reason I have not changed Banks yet after dealing with this horrible Citibank for way too long of a time.

When my account was opened over a year ago it was set up with the wrong SSN. I filed paper work 3 times before it was finally corrected.

However now in order to get into my account online it is requiring the last 4 of my SSN which is not recognizing the correct number. My account is now locked and even through I have a CC and a Debit Card, my name and my address and my security question and my account balance it is not allowing me to verify.

I do not get paper statements but I have my account number written down but that apparently is not correct either. I get texts every week with my account balance. We spent 12 hours over the night trying to get thru to Citibank about a flight booking charge that was put on hold. The number we were provided replied: the number you have called is not working. Please try again later.

We did so for hour after hour and tried multiple numbers we found on your website. We used the number on our credit card and got the same recording. I did not receive a text about the hold. Rather, I was sent an email and it is fortunate that I saw the email.

We were able to get a person thru Mastercard Service by claiming that we had a prior claim and typing in a made up number. We had a difficult time understanding the person and she claimed that she had cleared the charge, but we would have to redo the flight booking.

I have been an AT& T Universal Card (Citibank) cardholder since 1990. Today I received a letter from Citi saying that because I had not used my card recently my account was closed. No notice, no information about the fact that if it is not used it will be closed. Nothing.

This is no way to treat a loyal customer. This is my only credit card. I never missed a payment in all these years. My credit is excellent. The proper procedure would be to let a good customer know that if I did not use my card it would be closed, to give me the consideration of this information.

This is a slap in the face. To have an account closed because I had not used it recently certainly cannot be good for my credit rating. I want my card back. I suggest that your policy of doing this to long term loyal customers…

on December 22,2022 Citi bank contacted me stating I deposited a fraudulent check. they froze all my account including my personal account . citi bank also verified with my on the phone that the checks were never fraudlent but still has yet let me access my funds.

11. Your bank accepted and cashed my check and put a block on my account the very next day and told me they were closing my account because the check was in my nieces name who. I have power of attorney over.

But they still cashed the check and are now telling me it's going to take 60 days to get me my money and close that account. That is totally unacceptable. That's every penny we have to our name and I have to pay my bills.

Costco CITI VISA CARD charges my Late fee for three months for 3 times an interest of $90 and $6.63 call Coustermor service can't refund also keep continuing to charge! Is it's terrible Credit Card?
