I stopped at the DG @ 7004 Johnston Street Lafayette, LA 70503 on 1/6/2020. When I got to the check out line I was NUMBER 9 IN LINE! There was one clerk checking people out but the other was standing around behind the counter.

No effort was made to help the other check out. Then once I got to the register after waiting approximately 20 minutes (time now 5:26 PM) I looked back to find another 8 people (that I could see) behind me.

The clerks had then swapped out but the attitude was tremendous by the clerk. No type of customer service or care of the job. The long finger nails seem to delay the process as well making it harder to key in information.

The bagging was ridiculous and the lack of any type of professionalism was not present.

Just over a year ago, I contacted you regarding the filthy situation of your Montgomery, New York store. I received a call from one of your representatives who listened to my concerns and advised me that they would be addressed.

I was also told that new employees would be beginning in December of 2018 and that there would be improvements made. Not only did that not happen, but the conditions got worse. On any given day of the week, including my trip there yesterday, the store was completely out of stock on milk.

Large metal containers on wheels held merchandise and blocked most aisles, leaving just enough room for a cart to pass through. Ladders and merchandise littered the floors of the aisles. Employees seemed oblivious to the situation. On a prior visit, I expressed my concern over…

Your dollar general in bethel nc is a dire need to help. There is always stock , new and old , blocking the aisles. ALWAYS. either no one is assigned to stock or no one does it. You can’t get down the aisles or to the shelves.

Not even a 1/2 a * I was in your Carrollton,MS store tonight at 8 pm. It was a total disaster which is not anything new for this store. The parking lot was full of trash and the buggies were just pushed in a circle in the front of the parking lot.

BUT the inside was horrific and nasty, I have attached just a few pictures for you to see.

My complaint is store #12133 is always understaffed on the registers and the store is cluttered with stock carts to the point you can't go down the aisles. Sunday Jan 5, there were no less than 10 people trying to checkout and only 1 register open.

Several customers not in line saw this and just put their selections down and walked out. One employee was sitting on the floor next to the line of people putting batteries on the end cap. When asked why she didn't open another register, her response was because she was "on break".

My wife might continue to patronize this location but she has had the same issues. I can tell you, I'll never shop there again. It's a shame I had to give it a 1-star rating because Zero stars was not an option.

Yesterday, I went to the Dollar General right up the road from where I was staying at. I was just taking my time because I wanted to set up my new phone, using the stores Wi-Fi. I was approached by a police officer and he said that the woman working there wanted me to leave because some customers left her notes saying that I was stealing from the store the night before.

I went into a dollar general store to return an item. One of cashiers couldn’t do returns so she called for manager. She was a bigger girl African American lady. She’d never wears a name tag. She’s usually no help she’s always on her phone cursing and just standing in the aisles on her phone.

I never once seen her doing work. She had called over another employee “Madeline” who then was saying “I’m Fuc*ing busy I don’t wanna do that sh*t. You b*tches irk me” clear as day in front of so many customers. I felt so disrespected...

On January 4th, 2020 I visited the Dollar general store located at 2909 Georgia Rd in Franklin NC. I purchased a 16oz Dean's sour cream and Ranch dip packet. When asked if I wanted my receipt I said no. Not thinking anything of it because they always ask and throw it away.

Once I returned home to make my dip almost immediately I noticed it smelled and looked funny. I'm not a fan of your cream so I asked my husband to see if it was good? He stuck his finger in it and said no it taste like cottage cheese.

Dollar General in Haynesville, LA had gotten way out of hand. Recently as you know, the Fred’s chain closed. Leaving DG our only dollar store in this town.

However we do have a small grocery store. This dollar general is a complete disaster. There are carts full of stock to be put out. These carts are at the end of every isle, making it hard to get around the store.

There is never more than one checker, leaving the check out line a mile long. The so called “manager” of the store, had foul language. I went there today to get a couple of things. I wad a few isles over and i heard her curse while having a conversation with someone.

Once I got to the front to check out, only 2 of my items were put in a bag. I had 1 gallon of milk, 1 big bottle of washing detergent, 1 bottle of fabric…

My issue is with Dollar general @ 711 W Houston St. 74012. My sister went into store to shop she has several medical issues she has a very weak bladder she was trying to get to restroom when she could make it so she wet her pants & a little got on floor.

This is about your Palmdale Ca Store. About 20% of the store shelves have been empty for the last 2 months. I've been coming here since the day they opened the door. It use to be convenient. Not anymore ! This store is so un-stocked it's not even funny. The shelves are so bare it looks like they're going out of business. Not one loaf of bread. Hardly any cheese, because its all out. No soy sauce.......pasta selection is pretty much nonexistent now. This store has turned into a joke. And if your need over the counter medication, don't come here. They are all out of that also. I sent my boyfriend to get cigarettes and the associate gave him the wrong ones with in half an hour we were back to exchange them. What really makes me upset is the manager said it’s absurd to think they would know all the type of cigarettes.

I’m sorry but you keep them behind the counter which I understand however you have no clue the difference in light and regular and then tell me my boyfriend should know what he is buying. Either the employees should be educated or you should exchange in a 30min time span.

We shop regularly at this store and will no longer be shopping there as I don’t want to shop where your employees are not accountable for their mistakes and then the manager thinks it’s absurd to know what they carry.

Store#08001 Waurika Oklahoma This is the 3rd time I've been in the store to get something and its kept behind the counter or in the office now because no one puts it out! I wanted to get some Gambuler tabaco & Cigarette tubes again the same young Skinny man says you all are out and no its not in the office I told him i was told to remind the cashier its kept in the office he flat out Said No have a good day and brushed me off !

I have lived in Statham,Ga for 8 yrs. I was super happy to have the DG open up here. And it be a market store. That joy soon faded fast. This store is awful. There is usually about one to two lines open.

About four to six employees in the office hanging out. The store is never stocked. Today there was no bleach, puppy training pads, no sliced cheese, no lasagna and no digiornio pizza. I love maybe a mile and half from the store.

I will drive to Athens or Winder to shop at a dollar general. How is this right? Has DG made to much money to care about the store in Statham GA?

J. store. Rude employees. im a customer i do not work here. I said i watched you push a cart full of soda down the aisle and started stacking the shelves. And she once again said she did not work there while she was stocking the shelf with 2 liter bottles of soda.

So i went to the cashier counter and no one was around. 3 mins passed with me standing there,no one came to the counter. Outside property full of trash. I then drove several miles to millville nj on Rte 49 to another DG store.

Like night and day,store was clean,employees curtious and well informed. Outside parking lot and grounds were free of trash and debris. Unlikely i will get a response from this. But take note that the Laurel Lake store is a dump inside and outside,a huge eye sore! Aubyn Jr

I was in one of your stores one evening recently & was talking to cashier.. apparently she was alone in store & had to close store alone & in the mornings they r also alone for a couple hours. I am very concerned for these employees..

with all that Is going on in this world these days do you think it is wise for this to be going on. Just to save a few bucks on your end of the game there should be at least 2 people in store at all times.

On January 2, 2020 at 4:45 pm I visited the Dollar General Store #13578 in Barstow, Ca. 92311. I purchased a case of Dasani water (24 pkg). I'm a senior with a physical disability, which impedes me from heavy lifting.

I ask the cashier if could get assistance with getting the water to my car. She replied that's not possible. I share with her my limitations. She repeated herself again even more rudely. Apparently this particular Dollar General does not allow shopping carts out of the store.

If Dollar General does not want Seniors or Disabled persons utilizing there store then the public should be made aware. Therefore Seniors and Disabled want have go though this treatment.

I went to store in union point, Ga with coupons clipped on the app when I purchased the items(that also had sales tag on shelf) my coupons were not removed from order. When I asked the worker about it he stated "there is nothing I can do, its above my pay grade" I also purchased a toy that was on sale 50% off yet had to pay full price.

I called local store to speak to manager who was also rude and told me that I had to "figure it out myself" the sale items I bought were tide pods($2 off coupon not removed), aussie shampoo/conditioner($2 coupon not removed), and toy was $5(50% off not removed)

I shop in that store 3 to 4 times a week and spend anywhere between 100 to 200 dollars each time I go. I was in there shopping with my grandmother and boyfriend when I left the cops where at the store well as we went down the road to the donut store the cop followed and

proceeded to hand me a criminal trespassing telling me the manager called and said I stole a candy bar that day which i do not steal and I sure as hell did not deserve the embarrassment of the cop . My family will no longer shop in that store at all..

I was falsely accused of something I did not do and had cops called on me for no reason!! That is pretty sorry for a store to do this .. it has happen more than just to me come to find out!.

I came into my local dollar general ( 120 grace church rd, Salisbury NC) and was asking about a possible job and the manager looked at me and said “ well how far along are you” I proceeded to tell her “ 6 months” she then says “ there isn’t much you can do here” I am a general manager of a business and I myself know that An employer cannot refuse to hire a pregnant woman because of her pregnancy.

I went in a few months back to open interviews, when I got there, the manager of the store at Gallipolis Ferry, WV, took me to the back office jus to say that there isn't any hours to be given out an that when there is she had already promised 2 other guys a job .. sense I been in the store as I live local I have seen only men been hired no women.

This raises a flag to me. As I have been waiting an waiting to get a call to come in I could really use a job an I fell I'm well qualified, an I live within walking distance of the store.

But seems to me that, they always say there isn't any hours, or u will see a new male worker. I don't think this is in anyway right at all an it's discrimination,not counting the interview was a joke a big joke.

Good morning, I do have a complaint I have tried for 6 years with this store most days when I stop it is unorganized I have worked retail before and so I do understand that when shipments come in you must get them up on the shelves but this could be done in a better way that does not make the customer crazy trying to find things .

At my local dg store i tried to redeem a dig coupon. The sign on their shelf said bogo 24 ct pedigree bacon dentastix. I went to purchase at the register but it didnt work because the downloaded coupon said buy a 24 and get a 34 for free.

They have never sold 34 ct i dont think they even exist. The staff there was very very rude about the situation and literaterally said what do you want me to do about it. Grabbed my phone said i didnt download coupon right because i didnt know how to do it.

I was in the dollar general on boeke in Evansville Indiana. I was standing behind a man and he was trying to buy cigarettes. He showed his I’d and I still remember the birthday, 1-7-1998, which would make him 21 years old.

The manager that was checking him out repeated his birthday and then proceeded to tell the young man he was not 21 that he was only 20 and could not buy cigarettes. ” He told me that I was wrong and that he was only 20.

If I can rate this store a 0 I would. I normal go to the Dollar General on Washington Rd by Walmart the employees are very nice and told me about the company’s app and very nice people there so I normal go there but

this morning I went to the one on hill st in Thomson because it was closer and I didn’t want to go far plus I was in my pjs. 00 off on Charmin toilet paper but the register kept bringing up only a dollar off.

Dollar General Stores are filthy, messy, unorganized and cluttered. The prices for the products on the shelves never ring up the same at the register. Your item is always priced higher when checking out. When a worker is questioned, all they say is what is in the computer.

When asked nicely to please go check the price posted on the shelf, they do reluctantly because the waiting line is long with only one register opened. DG is way understaffed to keep the store a pleasant place to shop.

I have went down to the Dollar general located that 1812 raible avenue Anderson Indiana several times to try to get a cell phone. Every time I've went down there or called they keep telling me they don't have a key to open the lock.

It's pretty bad that I live close and can't get what I need. I called down there today to see if they found a key yet to open it and they keep telling me know they have not. Something needs to be done about this problem.

Where do I begin? Biggest complaint is that when in line to cash out, if another customer line jumps, the cashier doesn't redirect the line jumper to the end of the line. Has happened in more than one DG. Pi$$e$ me off to no end.

Next biggest complaint is the stock carts abandoned in the aisles to the point that maneuvering around them with a shopping cart is next to impossible when the store is empty and is futile if there's other people shopping. Not honoring sale prices.

Corporate not responding to complaints. I now drive past the DG that's two minutes from my house to go to a grocery store 15 minutes away to avoid this shyt.

I went to store #11565 in Chicago IL around 6 at night on the recipe the time says 18:54:12 and One of the employees the cashier the guy working at that store at that exact time who rung up my order of Campbell soups and top roman was extremely rude due to the fact that dollar general convayer belt to slide the grocery's upward was not working.

The Dollar General in my area (51st and Howard in Milwaukee Wisconsin) is very sloppy. Merchandise on the floor, messy shelves, most times unpacked delivery bins are in the aisles. I have been there at various times and different days and it's the same.

I really like the products you carry both name brand and store brand, but I don't appreciate the shopping experience. The staff appears to be doing the best they can, but many times it seems there is only 1 person working and they have to do it all.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019 around 5:00 - 5:30 pm I went to the Dollar General in Canastota NY. When I entered the building the cash out line was long. ) When I went to get in line there was only one person on the register.

There were two workers stocking shelves and one person that was on lunch talking to the one stocking. I was just appalled that one of the stock workers didn't stop stocking and open a register, they were clearly aware of how long the line was.

The line was so long that people were walking out. Having four people working and only one register open is poor management especially at Christmas time. I would also like to mention that this store could use updating. The floor is the dirtiest floor I have ever seen.

Visited on 20 Dec 2019 at 2602 Manchester Expy, Columbus GA 31904. Lady with no name tag at front register scanning in cartoons of cigarettes as I stood at register waiting for her to ring me up. Long blondish wavy hair.

Everytime I come into y'all's store on Berryhill road. I cannot shop pleasantly. I don't know when y'all hired this woman named Beth I personally don't care. Ever since she has been there all she does is complain moan and groan about work and other employees.

I use to be able to enjoy shopping there as it was and use to be a pleasant experience. Now it is unbearable. For someone to be so miserable and so filled with drama I don't understand y'all keeping her or her even staying.

I live in Mackinaw il. I find since the new manager has taken over everything is a mess. Things thrown where they don't belong. Clearance items not ringing up at price in store after seeing the price online. Old products that they no longer carry that other stores have clearanced but still full price at the Mackinaw store.

Christmas clearance sign put up with products not clearanced but stating on sign they are clearanced. I show the cashiers the signs and they say oh that's old product we don't carry that some worker threw it up there. But they still ring me up full price.

I'm the last 2 days I have had a number of items ring up wrong price and they have not honored the clearance price. I will be taking my DG business to a store 10 to 15 miles away.

The cashier was very rude and nasty to me. 2 of my digital coupons did not link and she told me that there was nothing that she could do about it and she didn't care. She was very nonchalant and because of her, I will take my business else where.

Stopped at this store to get balloons on my way to a cemetery. I ran in and needed to use the restroom. Saw a sign on door that said ask associate for keys, the door was open so I went in.

When i came out the sssociate at the register started yelling across the store at me, she said Mame Mame, that is our bathroom. I said sorry. She didnt stop there she kept on about it. Walked away got my balloons took them to the register.

Waited till she was done with all her customers. When it was just her and i i told her she was very rude and disrespectful. She embarrassed me in front of other customers. She could have waited till i was alone at the register.

I am a retired store manager and I would never have allowed my associates to speak to a customer in this manner@

My friend went into your store on Highway 212 Monticello Georgia watch the attendant at the register wipe her nose on her hand then he asked if he could use some of the hand sanitizer that was there on the counter she said yes so he sanitize his hands laid his cigarette lighter and money on the counter then she told him or you not going to hand me that money the money was right in front of her he said no you can pick it up then

she avoided him out call the manager he looked at her and the manager and walked out and left his money and the cigarette lighter we have had numerous rude attendance at that store

I was inside Dollar General and purchased some items that had some digital coupons, well I do have an account and went to launch it at checkout and the app did not work and I could not use the coupon. I spoke with the cashier and she stated that the app was down again.

How useful is the coupons if your customers can not use them when they shop? I was going to buy more but the app was down and couldn't get a little savings on my trip so I left the items.

Today 3:30 pm 12/29/19,,,while purchasing a carton of cigarettes the clerk tore the carton open to scan each pack said it's policy,,if so why do the employees that know how to run a cash register do it the simple way,10@$,$$,,after asking the lady why she gets pissy and manager walks up and is even ruder,,that store needs some serious training,,store #03659,,I'm quite sure thus will get ignored because it's so hard these days to find good help cause y'all need it
