I gotta start by saying the positive: having emailed DSW regarding a defective product I purchased from them online, they got back to me extremely quick! Sometimes even just a few hours later! Bravo to them on their fantastic promptness!

But be warned - each response was from a different representative (at least 6 or 7 in my case), which meant each response was completely different. " It was beyond ridiculous. Almost comical, in fact. I eventually gave up - too much unnecessary stress and a complete waste of my time.

Should you need to contact DSW customer service, you might be better…

I was at the Halsted and Clark store in Chicago which I frequent. There is a gentleman I believe he is the store manager that is the rudest . The other times I thought possibly he is having a bad day . He has the worst customer service skills and acts like he is being put out with any questions or task he does for a customer.

Typically I'm not a person that writes complaints but he makes customers feel uncomfortable . Sincerely N

I purchased a pair of shoes for my grandson and in two weeks they ate ripping at the toe. I attempted to return them for an exchange and they will not because they said they are worn. I understand they do not take shoe back that are worn but these shoes are defective and poor quality.

You should stand behind the quality of shoes you are selling and shoes should not fall apart after two weeks.

Unprofessional cashier, she was rude and embarrassing!! Manager was right behind and instead of not allowing the situation to escalate she stood there and did nothing !! The girl behind the desk misunderstood me on an exchange and when I corrected her she got upset and became rude and completely disrespectful!!

I will never shop at this location again. Corporate should look into the people they’re hiring because it’s not profesional to have workers that can’t handle customer service working there and managers running the store who don’t give a F*** !!

Tracy at the Brookwood DSW in Birmingham told me I was rude for questioning what looked like a double charge on my bank statement. She became hostile when I asked for an explanation of the double charge. I was flabbergasted she talked to me that way.

I am 70 years old and simply wanted an explanation for the charge.

Was shopping there on a Wednesday and the employees were in the back with doors opened and right next to customers shopping screaming and yelling and cursing using the F word MULTIPLE times talking about some guy and how he was lying. May goodness it was so unprofessional and off putting. This was in the Paramus location route 17 and it was very disruptive as well. I can’t say I’ll be going back to DSW.

Wow! Where to begin. 1st time ever in this store.

First person I encountered I ask where the boys shoes were located. ” And walks away. I brush it off and find the shoes I want for my son and go to register. I had registered for an account online and chose text confirmation through phone no email.

I showed the cashier my discount IR code and she was immediately aggravated cause she was not sure how to apply that to my purchase. We worked it out and I payed. She informed me that they had no bags so we had to carry the Boxes out.

The wind was blowing hard and the top box came loose and hit the ground. Fast forward a few days later. The shoes were just a 1/2 size small for my son so I had my mother take them back because I was at work.

I will never purchase from this company again and would give them zero stars if I could. I have been an VIP elite member for several years now and have shopped at DSW since 2004. The last experience with customer service (if that's what you can call it); service means you are supposed to resolve the issue not make it worse.

I ordered a BCBG boot online, which they do not carry in the store. I have had to exchange this shoes 3 times, since they keep sending me the wrong size. On one occasion, one replacement had two different sized shoes in the box.

The DSW store at bridgestreet in Huntsville AL. Saturday night closed at 6 pm and had customers standing outside trying to get in. You all lost a ton of business tonight and the woman standing at the door an employee was extremely rude to the customers.

I returned a pair of shoes that I ordered online. I wanted to exchange them for a different pair, as I did not want to lose my $5 birthday reward. She proceeded to tell me that I could not do that and the reward would go back to my account.

Of course, it did not, as I shop there frequently and know how the system works. Very disappointed.

I went into DSW after receiving a coupon that was 30$ off a 49$ purchase. 99 shoes, only to be told that Dr. school shoes were excluded from the coupon, although it did not say so on the coupon. e.

basically everything in the store. What a total scam- bait and switch! You just lost a customer. I’ll be reporting this to the attorney general’s office.

On 5/7/2022 I shopped at the DSW Novi, Michigan store @ 10:15 am. When I checked out, the DSW cashier was very rude and unprofessional for no reason. She had an unpleasant attitude which is definitely not favorable customer service.

When I gave this person my phone number & email upon request she was irritated, seemed to have an issue with having to check the info she asked for. Thereafter I had 2 gift cards to apply to my purchase, 1 happened to be empty and this person actually snapped at me; the other card was used successfully.

Location 10015 E independence BLVD Rude manager who helped Diana! My grandmother purchases at this location allll the time! Me being in retail 18 years as a Store Manager , Area Manager and now District manager have always put my customer first.

You build brand loyalty through Loyalty and I believe with having a known loyal customer in your face you go above and beyond to keep her service! My grandmother is an elderly woman who came to purchase shoes to receive a water cooler but forgot her coupon at home.

After having difficulty placing an order I called for assistance and was told item was out of stock although website said differently. After asking to speak to a manager I was told that I would be given my discount at a later date when item was in stock. I received an email verifying that and was then able to complete order. Order did not arrive as promised and when I called to check status I was again told item was out of stock. I am confused and frustrated. On December 16, 2021 I ordered a Gift Card and was informed it would arrive before Christmas. As of January 3, 2022 I have not received it.

I contacted DSW, via email on 3 separate occasions and received 3 emails from them with different mailing dates.

I had enough and filed a complaint with the BBB.

Never will I buy a gift card or shop a any DSW Store

I returned an item (item #5351307826) via mail, and it was received by DSW on November 16, 2021 with the promise to see a return to my account in up to 7 business days. After two weeks of not receiving my refund, I called and was told it was being processed.

A few days after that and it still had not posted, I called again and he said it was being rushed and processed. After not seeing it still, I sent an email on December 22 to customer service and was told it was being rushed and will be processed in 24 to 48 hours.

It's now December 28, and I have not received a refund on an item you received on November 16. I've been lied to by all customer service representatives. All I want is my refund, and I will be done with DSW after this.

DSW customer service representatives lied to me. I was explicitly told that I would be receiving my order (that I placed on Saturday) before Christmas. I was told that, even though I did not have the option to request expedited shipping, I would still receive the order in "4-6 days".

As it turns out, this wasn't true, probably since the order wasn't actually shipped until Wednesday, meaning the order wouldn't arrive until the 26th. The only reason that I even ordered with DSW is because I spoke on the phone with someone who insisted that the order would make it by the time I needed it.

I ordered a hippo Warme. Went online it said you had several in stock meaning you had 10 in stock. I ordered it paid for it online and it said I could pick it up within two hours at the store.

Hi For a while now I've been approached by dsw workers, they have been asking me to give them money to take my dirty. But I rent in a complex where bins are provided, so I put my dirty in there every Monday and Thursdays. They come to me telling me that it's not there job to take these bins a m d if I don't give them money they will leave it. This is becoming a problem. Because I just work here. Do government not pay them ?

Ps - I do have a picture of the person who keeps asking me to pay them. This person works for dsw.

I ordered a pair of shoes for my mother on 08/07/2021 it is 08/12/2021 I was notified the shoes would arrive 08/011 they did not . I have spoken to customer service 4 different times , no one can tell me when they will arrive but they won't cancel the order .

I asked for a corporate number for complaints and was refused . I plan on rejecting the order if it arrives and until then I am disputing the charge . I have spent alot of money over the years at dsw but the total lack of service and refusal to give me a corporate number is criminal .

Yes, I have ordered a pair of shoes on your website about two weeks ago and just received this weekend only to see that I was sent out 2 right foot show in two different sizes. 5 right foot was obvious a display because the bottom was very dirty and worn.

I tried calling the customer service number listed cannot speak with an live agent. I am very upset and disappointed that the pair shoes was not check for correct same size that was ordered and that it was an left and right shoe in box.

Hello, My daughter and I went to the Easton DSW to look at UUG boots on Nov 2nd of this year (2019), there was a 25% off sale on boots. My daughter decided she wanted to try on a pair of UUG boots.

The sales associate was basically hovering over us the entire time. He stated he was told by management to do this because people were stealing the UUG boots so he had to stay with us. The shopping from that point on was unsatisfying.

I felt like I was being punished for someone else’s mistake. I put the boots on Hold but decided not to purchase them because I was not happy with what happened earlier in the evening. I decided to call DSW on my way home after discussing what happened with my husband.

I purchase a pair of shoes on Scenic HWY Lawrenceville, GA 30045. The woman sales rep Shawna charge me twice and then told me I don't have to worry about the first transaction because it did not go though, I check the transactions in front of her and she said it will drop off in two days, well its two weeks and I'm still trying to get that transaction revered. I received a coupon for a free overnight bag with my purchase. Every time I receive a coupon for a free gift they say they are out of them I go on the day it begins.i find it very odd that every store has none left. Are the employees helping themselves? It isn’t fair to a good customer. As I said not the first time. Last time it was a Blanket and a three piece bag set. Is there anything you can do? Please let me know. I purchased shoes off of my DSW app and I was charged taxes. In my home state of Massachusetts we are not charged taxes for clothing or shoes, and have never been charged on any of my previous orders from DSW.

Also, I purchased another pair of shoes in this same week from another store online and was not charged any tax. Please correct this. I am sure I will shopping with DSW again but I do not want to be charged taxes that I am not required to pay. Thank you for time.

Randhurst, mt prospect store worst customer service. After waiting in line ten minutes Angeline? Walked away from my transaction to help the other person again for the third time. I was purchasing shoes and showed her the email for the free gift and she said they were out of them but I witnessed the three people in front of me getting them.

I have visited DSW store #29305 about four or five times now and each time has been miserable. I’m not usually a customer who complains, but after so many times I feel it’s necessary. I went once bought a pair of shoes got home and realized they were stained.

I went back the next day to ask for a different pair and they didn’t have my size after they said they did. So I asked if there was any discount they could give me and they offered me a measly 10% so I returned them instead even after driving out of my way.

Another time I called to check on some shoes they said they had them so I went and I get there only to find out the box was missing a shoe. They literally had a box of ONE shoe and the other was no where to be found.

I contacted customer service on 7/17/19 at 10:00p and was chatting with Luke. He got all my information and asked how he could assist me, when I told him what was going on with my order he disconnected our chat at 10:15p!!!

I would like an explanation on why he was so rude to disconnect the chat and not say anything?! Very poor customer service and I will be writing a review on my experience with Luke at shoephoria!!!! And on top of that, I paid for two day shipping and my package will not be arriving in the two days I paid for!

I do not have a complaint. As a matter of fact I wanted to highlight the exceptional customer service I received at the DSW store located at the Forum (#29456). I initially ordered what I thought were white shoes from online.

When the shoes arrived, the color was more of a dull light grey--not at all close to what I wanted. I took the shoes to the Forum location and was met by the most bubbly and pleasant associate named Lauren.

Lauren offered to re order the shoes for me but after some reasearch, we determined this particular shoes was more of a grey color and not white like I wanted. Lauren patiently search for comparable options online w/ no luck and started searching the store.

Good morning, so I ordered a shoe on 06/26/19 at store DSW SILVERLAKE VILLAGE order confirmation number 7771010524845; and upon calling the store after speaking with two people my order wasn't located. So I was offered to speak with a supervisor Tony on 07/11/2019 and he then located the shoe.

The representative got back on the phone which wasn't Tony and advised me that the shoe came in without a tag so they couldn't identify who the shoe belong to. I honestly think this is poor service due to me needing this sandal for a wedding this past weekend 07/06/19 which I was advised that it would be back on time for this occasion.

Every time I come to the store there is not one day that I found the store to be clean and organized it is extremely difficult to find a pair of shoes that are in the right place when I find something that I like to look at the size the shoes are never the right ones it’s very unfortunate because there’s so much selection with great prices and designer names and I’m always getting frustrated and find myself leaving without buying anything because it’s impossible to find what I’m looking for because they never in the right place the store is extremely messy even In the early morning when they just open up!!!

6 people in line on a Saturday at 1pm (day before Father’s Day). One person checking out customers. Three employees to the right of the door when you walk in doing something. No idea what, but I cannot imagine what took three people and was more important than your customers.

I put my shoes down and left. Poor customer service. Such a disappointment. I had made a special trip to Baton Rouge to buy shoes. No other reason.

On Friday June 7, 2019. My niece and I went to shop at DSW in Robinson Center of Pittsburgh Pa. The entire time that we entered the store, the female manager started watching me for some reason ( I think her name was Karil) I cannot recall.

I ordered some shoes I needed for work and a necklace. I verified it would arrive within 4-7 days (I had them shipped to the store). On May 21st it was 7 business days and I kept checking my email for DSW saying to come in for pickup, but nothing.

On the 23rd I tracked the package saying it had arrived to the store on the 17th! I had gotten no notice of this from DSW! I get an hour for lunch so that same day I went to pick up my order.

I have called Customer Service 3 times at different telephone numbers, and none of the representatives were able to help. There were no interfacing databases or managers/supervisors who had any authority to serve my needs. 57 in shoes today and presented the cashier at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, NY a promotional fold-out discount, expecting $20 off my purchase (over $99).

There was a bar code card missing from the folder which I had not opened until I got to the store. As I regular customer, I was surprised by the salesperson who would not honor the promotion, but I could understand her position.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN THE SAME STORE TWICE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE THIS LEVEL OF INCOMPETENCE.

SANDRA WERGINZ !! bought a part of shoes !! and she ask Mrs. Werginz , do you mind if we go to another register . full well knowing , she didn't void the first transaction !!. AFTER NUMEROUS , CONTACTS, in trying to get the extra monies charged her .

they still haven't refunded her the extra '$54 , DSW SHOES ,INC. CHARGED HER !!! DSW !! FRAUDULENT RIP OFFS !!
