A sub-contracted Duke Energy crew recently (June 2023) laid underground cable across our yard. After tearing up the yard they came back and threw down some grass seed and straw.
However they did not do anything about the two trees they killed when they used a backhoe to dig an area to lay the underground cable. We had purposely left those trees when we were building our new home. We are hoping Duke Energy will do the right thing and remove the dead trees and replant new ones.
I have been calling Duke Energy since March for them to send me a paper bill and as of this date they will not send it. They keep sending me text or email, I explained to them Ithat this account is in a Trust and I have to have a record of this account.

I’m concerned that Duke Energy is not monitoring the work being done by your contractor. Specifically, the crew trimming trees behind my home took an entire day on Friday (5/5) to remove one tree. We contract tree removal services in our HOA and they could have done the job in one hour. On day two (5/8) they trimmed two trees. That’s it. There was a lot of sitting around doing nothing.
I hope you are paying by the job not by the hour.

I purchased a home a year ago in the Florence, SC area and unfortunately am forced to be a customer of Duke Energy. At first I thought highly of the company when compared to horror stories I’ve heard about Santee Electric utility bills.
The first few months the energy bills were extremely high but we found out that it was due to the heating and air system. A technician came and replaced the heating strips and the house was then to remain at 1 solid temperature consistently.

I am a solar energy customer who purchased a new home in 2022. At the time that I connected services with Duke energy they sent regular monthly bills for minimum usage due to our solar connection. As of November 2022 Duke ceased contacting us for our regular billing.
Being new to solar service and new parents with a lot on our plates we didn't think much of it, assuming due to the solar panels and not running the a/c as much that perhaps that was the reason.

Was trying to make an inquiry on why my bill nearly doubled between December and january.
First Call I was giving the young lady my information and the line went quiet and after 5 minutes it finally disconnected. I called back a second time talk to a different young lady gave her my information and she was trying to explain to me what could possibly have made my bill go up.
But it didn't make any sense to me and I was trying to explain to her that it made no sense to me and she hung up on me.

I have an account with them for 6 months on auto pay and because the 15th lands on a weekend, they are claiming my payments for those months were late and due to that, I owe them $300 for service to be TRANSFERED from my apartment to my house.

It is 62 degrees in the house have grandkids ages 5 and up and iit is very unsafe. PR on rolling blackout is not accurate. Pulling line fuses and shutting down a whole development for two days, shameful. CFO, COO, management staff, poor decisions causing financial, damages, and medical issues to you customers.
Communication is terrible. The reality is the grid is poorly designed by engineering and growth not supported by management for many years causing line surges and ultimately failures to the network. Dukes customer services is deteriorating every year.
