On August 16th, 2023 at 12:35 PM, I tried to check in for my flight from Chicago, US to Johannesburg, South Africa. But, the Etihad Airlines personnel refused to let me get on the plane saying that you have to have a visa for every country that you will be connecting your flight at.

This is not accurate because you are only supposed to get a visa or travel document for your final destination but not for every country's airport that you are connecting your flight from. She also told me that you cannot get off in South Africa or you have to have a ticket only from Etihad to go to my final destination or she cannot let me get on the plane.

The check in counter agent looked at my passport and said: "Your visa to America is expired." I said: "that is the original visa so I could travel to get my immigration green card. I completed that flight on April 12. See the stamp next to the visa? It says ADMITTED APRIL 12, 2023. Here is my green card."

I have a valid USA immigration green card status. The counter agent didn't know how to understand the "entered/admitted" stamp, and was only looking at the old USA visa to USA .

Be aware of Etihad airways ' sly ways to rip you off. Their website hides many important fee information which can be accessed only after clicking some link and paging down several pages.

For example if you book Etihad Holidays, it will say Free Cancellation. It even has an info icon which pops up the screen where it says free cancellation till certain date.

However, when you call to cancel they will charge you USD $25 fee (service fee). Where is this mentioned? It is mentioned in terms and conditions link on last page where you fill in credit card info. If you click on it, you have to roll down several pages to see it.

Customers generally review their booking and prices and any * or info icons. The Terms and Condition with payment usually talks about Credit card etc. and not service…

We flew business class on Etihad for the first time. I purchased 6 tickets departing Chicago on Feb. 8 to Abu Dhabi and returning Feb. 17. I was very disappointed! We flew with Emirates 5 years ago and were thrilled with the service and food and felt Etihad was comparable but were sadly mistaken. Service was horrible!

My entire party felt the same way. As if your staff was bothered if we requested food or a drink.

I had setup a flight for my son to fly my dog to Manila, philippines. And spent a week of trying too get a confirmation in a email kept calling customer service for a week and was billed and also sent email as well to customer service.

Only to get to airport and the pets cargo reservation to be canceled and my dog had to be transported back to my home in the states with no care taker to take care of him and my son ended flying out to me with out him. it's all his fault for the whole thing.

20, 2022 at Mumbai airport. There was a long queu for the check in. Even those who had checke in online were made to stand in the regilar quwu. The staff was incompetent. The persons behind the counter were taking their own sweet time most of them leaving their places to talk to someone.

I got my boarding pass just 10 mins from boarding time. The apathy of the stafff was shocking. Please make a surprise check at Mumbai airport and pullo up the errant staff who are giving Etihad a bad name.

Also on the flight , the cabin crew was not carrying all the beverages. I was often told that they did not have beers. And that they would get it later after serving everybody. Later never came. This is a travesty and the crew should be insructed to get whart the customer requests without delay.…

We were to fly on October-19,2022 from LAS to AMD. Our first connection vi Jetblue from LAS to JFK was delayed by 8 to 10 minutes. On October 3rd, 2022 I received an email from Etihad airline for the second connection from JFK TO AUH fro the time change.

Our return flight started at Columbus Ohio with 8 pieces of luggage which were checked through to Brussels. I had a stop in Washington DC.

I was booked to fly from Ireland to New Zealand with Etihad on 13th August 2022 at 9.30am. EY0042. My booking number ULXTNS I am almost 65 years old and was travelling alone.

At the Dublin Airport check out, the female manager who had blond hair tied back in a bun and who had an Eastern European accent treated me with distain and contempt. We have booked tickets (family of 4) from Charlotte (USA) to Hyderabad (India) for (travel date) August 1st. (2022) in May2022. Unfortunately, due to my foot issue, we had to postpone the travel and we made it an OPEN ticket as per the suggestion of the customer care team. And now here we are, stuck with the ticket. Where do I start? The service on all flights was absolutely terrible No menu- meal choice given when serving-staff didn't even know what was on offer Warm drinks, no individual cans or drinks. Drinks were warm, no ice. One gin and tonic was largely tonic and the other was so strong, I through it down the toilet as nobody responded to the call button.

Etihad Guest Silver. Came from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi connecting to Brussels with Etihad. Walked 10 min to lounge at terminal 3 as usual, access refused because crowdy. Had to walk back to terminal 1 lounge. Only got 3 hours stay though transfer waiting time was 6 hours.

I arrived into Manchester on Flight EY15 from AUH to Manchester International 7.25 am Monday 30 May 2022. Today it is the 17 June 2022 and I am still trying to track my missing baggage. I visited Global Baggage Solutions this morning to locate the one case that was found and re routed on flight EY15 06.06. When we tried checking in at the airport, apparently one stop over was changes to two stop overs with an additional 3 hour transit at Budapest. Nevertheless I must do this complaint. I booked a round trip ticket for my father in law [Mr. Victor Borgai] from Chennai-Abu Dhabhi - Washington DC for Nov 7,2021 [Reference KGXJLE]. He flew from Chennai by EY 269.

However, he was not allowed to board the EY 131 flight bound to Washington DC because he was not qualified due to two vaccine required policy. He was accordingly reverted to Hyderbad [by request]. I contacted Anja of Itihad customer service 1-877-690-0767 about refund.

My booking reference number SFPRZL. I travelled from DFW to COK on 11/5/21. Tried to buy baggage through website to use 30%off. But was not able to do it using website . So called customer service they said the charge is only $100 and pay at the airport.

At DFW they charged $300. On the way back on 12/5/21, COK charged $250. My brother flew next day for $100 same route using KIOSK. Misleading information on the website and customer service information caused me a lot of inconvenience.

I had to pay $300 since last minute I can not leave the bag. Due to inconsistency I am requesting to refund the money. $300 +$250 is a lot of money to me and due to the wrong information I had to waste. com.

The issue that I have experienced was: on my arrival to London via flight no. EY 17 on 26.11.2021 I found my baggage has been damaged by the airline. I reported it to the airport authority who inspected and gave me the acknowledgement of the damage done to my bag. They told me that the airlines would approach me for compensation for the damage themselves within 15 days.

I waited for a few days bit no response. I lodged initial feedback report on Etihad airways website. They provided me with Etihad Airways reference no. 211130681318 Dated 11/30/2021 8:15 PM.

Since then I have not received any reply from them. I sent three follow up feedback reports but no reply has been recieved from them. The airline is using delaying tactics to avoid making compensation of the loss.

We traveled via Etihad on 24th November from Frankfurt to new Delhi. Our daughter's buggy we gave them just before we on boarded to the flight but after reaching to the New Delhi we did not find our Buggy. Its been more than a month now but we are not receiving any update on the same.

We updated on their lost and found site, sent an email and called multiple times but always received the same answer on the call "they do not have any update". FYI, never received an reply vial Email from their site.

I am very much disappointed and a frustrated customer. If someone knows the next step to escalate it, please do let me know.

I flew on EY22 from Manchester to Abu Dhabi on 30/11/21 with my wife Catherine. We had upgraded our outbound flight to Business Class and our return trip to Economy Space seats. Upon arrival at the Business Class check in we had quite a lengthy wait (which is not normally the case for a Business Class customer).

Eventually we went through to the lounge and all was well, then upon boarding the aircraft (I had been allocated seat number 6D) settled into my seat awaited a rather delayed (by approximately 90 minutes or more) flight. Once the seat belt signs had been turned off I decided to recline my Business Class seat and enjoy the features and benefits of this service.

i am a 79yr old lady booked a bussiness class fare to uk i have never before paid as much in my life but i suffer from really bad knees and made the trip to vist my sister who is very very sick well what a let down the service very limited the food terrible i would have been better in econemy the only decent part of my trip waon my return to autalia was one section apart fom that i was very upset with the whole flight and
