I will give negative star if system allowed!

I just booked Hotel Pompei Be Green today and immediately realized the date was wrong. I immediately called Expedia to correct my cancellation and rebook. The Expedia agent immediately called the hotel to rebook or cancel and refund. But after they discuss and they forced me to pay much higher price if I want to change to the date before! Otherwise they won’t refund. Wow! What a day light robbery! Being a long time Expedia customer, I’m very disappointed how they deal with this situation! They absolutely don’t consider customer at all! Stay away!

Would be zero stars if I could. Purchased a all inclusive trip to the Bahamas, Expedia flew us to one island and the resort in the package was on another. Customs told us this has been happening to people for over a year now.

Had to spend $600 more to get to our destination. When I called Expedia they told me it was my fault and should have known that the arrival flight and resort are on different islands. Absolutely no accountability and poor business ethics.

The last 3 times I contacted Expedia customers support. I was hung up on twice. The last time the agent was helping??? me by contacting a travel company.

However, she was calling the wrong number, after I gave her the right number she came back to me 15 seconds later and said there was no answer. I ended the call and the hotel manager here in Costa Rica called the number for me and it was answered immediately.

I don't like being lied to. The agents name was Maria.

We order our vacation with friends in Dominican Rep. The tragedy happened in my fried family and they asked me to cancel they vacation. Expedia just give me option talk to virtual agent and it give me option to cancel hotel or all booking.

Because I click under my friend name link ,I asked for cancel all booking, which in my mind was hotel and fly for them. BUT THEY ALSO CANCELED MY BOOKING TOO! I don't know why I just want to clarified my booking is still there, I called the hotel and They Can not find my booking.

I contacted Expedia and they they just told me that they cancel also my room and they can not help me with that. The price rise more than 300$ but they can not offer me any discoing even if they mess up that!

I feel it is not fair ,after I was many years their loyal customer…

This isn't just about Expedia but all third party booking sites. I agree with the author to avoid third parties and book directly off the hotel, cat rental, etc website or their app. So many people are finding their reservations were never booked or special requests aren't communicated to the hotel.

A lot of double charging happens of these third party sites. It seems to be an annoyance if caught early and remedied but so many times travelers are discovering the screw ups at the hotel desk at an unhandy hour or holiday weekend.

At any rate screw ups usually take weeks to fix. Alternative rentals nonexistent. We've all learned this lesson and hopefully won't repeat it.

The worse company ever. We booked a hotel and flight to Punta Cana and they cancel our flight for no reason.

However, left the hotel reservations. We called three days in a row injuring about our why flight was canceled. This trip was very important to us because our cousin wedding, We asked to speak to a supervisors and each and every time they said that no one was available.

The was no explanation to why are flight was cancel. They was no one taking ownership for canceling our flight. We were told that it would take three days for them to listen to the recordings to see who cancel the flight.

This is day three no one has contacted us. We still have not gotten any resolution.

I rarely do this but gotta vent. Bought a London-Berlin Xmas flight in Dec'21 via Expedia/KLM. 33) to use later. Tried using it but Expedia wants nearly €600 on top for a called "similar" flight! Stated was, I can only choose Premium/Business-like. Feels insulting and unfair.

Expedia's customer service is polite, but this solution was outrageous! Please let me use my credit to purchase an Economy class (as of today) again! This is really extremely disappointing!

Hello. I am traveling via Expedia from 4/4/ 23-4/11/23. I was scheduled originally to be back in Washington DC on 4-10-23 for work purposes.

However, Brussels airlines had a change in a flight on my way home which would make me and my daughter miss a layover. the agent rerouted us with 3 layovers, but it seemed we would be back in Dulles on 4-10-23.

After checking our itinerary, it was clear that the agent had made an error, and the flight would not arrive at Dulles until Tuesday 4-12-23. I called Expedia, and they told me they would get back to me in 72 hours.

I called back on Wednesday 3-29-23 to follow up as I had not heard back. 5 hours on the phone, the agent was only able to give me a flight that went from Florence to Brussell back to Rome, and then to DC with awful layover times.…

I had a credit with Expedia for United Airlines dated 5/23/22. Two days ago I tried making a reservation using this credit. On this call I waited 51 minutes for the the agent to the find a flight (I had given her all details regarding days and times).

00 to have a seat assigned. I declined this offer knowing she was incorrect. Yesterday I tried again and waited 1hour and 45minutes with no confirming flight. While I was on hold I called again with a different phone. At last a person who knew what he was doing.

In 30 minutes he had my flight booked with the correct amount of an extra charge for seat assignments. What is the problem. Are the employees not trained? Are they taking breaks while working on scheduling flights? Are you purposely putting customers on hold so they’ll get…

All I want is a UK telephone number to be able to speak with a member of your staff. Apparently you employ 3,288 of them in the UK,I think you should know not one of them has been working for over a week,that's how long I have been trying to contact them.

My experience was a total nightmare . Extra hidden hotel fees when arrived from booking. Hotel door did not lock I had to have maintenance fix door until 11pm. Bathroom had no lights and my shampoo and conditioner was empty and the elevator for my building was out of service and we are on 5th floor..

On February 23, 2023, I arrived at the Dollar Car Rental to pick up the car that had been reserved and paid for. Upon arrival, they could not find the reservation because I had placed it in the driver's name as I was not going to be driving the call all weekend. but let me digress.

After finding the reservation, the driver Micheal Brown proceeded to give the agent his driver's license so that we could complete the transaction. She requested that Micheal give her a credit card which she did not have but I had the credit card that the reservation was placed in to complete the transaction.

I booked a trip to Spain in Jan. 2023 for travel in Sept. 2023 for $8235. I received an email saying 1 leg of the flight was no longer an option and I needed to rebook the trip. I spoke to someone who canceled that trip and I booked another with same itinerary except for a different flight home.

They said the refund would show up in 7 to 10 days. I've called numerous times since then and each time they said they needed a few days to investigate why the refund never was issued. 1 person did refund the hotel portion and I received $4234, but the balance of $4000 is still owed to me 2 months later.

To Whom it may concern: I made a reservation at Country Inn and Suites in Tallahassee, Florida for May 4-7, 2023. I need to cancel that reservation. I contacted the hotel and was told my reservation was through Expedia and the cancellation needs to be handled through you.

I called Expedia and spent no less than 3 hours over 3 days trying to cancel the reservation.

In summary, I was transferred to numerous agents within Expedia, WebJet hotels, Webbeds and Prime Travel. I was told Webjet and Webbeds are third party partners of Expedia. I was told Prime Travel had to authorize the cancellation (even though I did not make the reservation through a travel company).

Hi there I booked a flight with ebookers from Dublin to Orlando return with car rental and I clicked on checked bags button and added 3 bags. The price increased by €120 but upon clarifying the checked bags with Jatin via chat on Mar 12th to be told there are no checked bags and I should contact the airline and pay again for them. Expedia nor the shuttle service booked through them- Bells Trans used fraudulent ways to obtain money for a service that was not given. I paid for shuttle service in February when I booked the trip and no one was there to pick my family up on March 6 or on March 10th when we needed to get to the airport.

Calls were made to a number with no response. This seem like fraudulent activity because how are customers suppose to set up pick up times?

com. We were traveling from WA so it's quite a drive to get there. As we set off we got an alert that the I-84 had been closed due to a series of accidents and bad weather and was totally closed.

As this is the only way of getting there we abandoned the trip and decided to turn around and go home. I called the Hotel where we were scheduled to stay and asked if we could move our booking for two weeks into the future as we would like to come to Boise once the weather got better.

On the website is says that you can make changes within 24 hours. They denied my change request. It was 5 minutes after booking. I called the airline and they informed me it would be a charge if they changed it, but Expedia can change it for no additional cost.

I called Expedia back, I had a rude agent and then I spoke to a "supervisor" that hung up on me. They also did not call be back even though they verified my callback number. I called back and asked to speak to a "manager" the representative transferred me to another agent in another department that could not help me.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Spent four hours on the phone yesterday only to be hung up three times. I booked befor COVID and spent 36 months fighting with expedia to get my file updated with a credit from west jet.

Expedia kept saying they could not find my file and I should go directly to west jet. West jet can find my file but because I went to ought expedia, I have to deal with expedia. Pathetic and horrible to know that I loose 1000 in travel credit because of expedia horrible service.

Booked with expedia a car rental, when I reached the Hertz office to get my car, they said they had no car at all, sent me to another location still no car at all. My hotel reservation had to be cancelled and I was stuck not reaching my destination and my weekend plans were ruined.

If you want to book a car reservation don't you EVER book with expedia and for all the aggrevation and missing my nieces bridal shower they only gave me a $50 refund after I spent on uber going from one Hertz location to another. If booking a car rental always book directly with car rental.

We booked a night here at the Stayble Suites in Jacksonville FL. We arrived approx 5pm to find nobody at the front desk - spent 10 min yelling before somebody sauntered out, by that time there were 3 of us needing to check in.

The clerk was most unwelcoming demanding ID from everyone over 18 who would be in the room. Like I’m 79 & my wife 78 this is total BS! The place looks like a 3rd world country & a dive. Last time we’re believing anything Expedia says or will we touch anything with your name associated with it.

We arrived at our booked accommodation to find Expedia had not completed the booking with the hotel and they were not expecting us. We had to contact Expedia from Cyprus which was an international call at great expense to our selves.

We had already had a traumatic day with 2 delayed flights and a delay of 3 hours. When we eventually got in to our room at midnight it was nothing like the description or photographs. Booking clearly stated all rooms had a balcony which our room did not.

I feel due to the inconvenience of the staff we were given the worst room in the hotel. I feel we were very badly treated and accommodation was not as description. This really effected us as it delayed us further starting our holiday due to the hotel not been aware of our booking.

00 from Expedia on my credit card bill received 2/28/23 for rental car ( JC rental car) which I had canceled after arriving at property due to excessive extra fees required by JC rental. 00 was required for insurance I told her I was adequately insured and did not require additional insurance.

At this time she told me Icould not rent car without paying extra insurance fee. I then told her I would not pay any additional fees to which I had previously agreed verbally when booked with rental agent. I then requested her to call me a taxi which she refused.

We had booked our vacation to Jamaica months in advance. This was the first time we were able to take a vacation together in 16 years!! It was only a 5 day getaway but we really needed it. Our flight was booked for Wednesday, 2/15/23 at 6:00 am with Spirit Airlines.

We get to a Bradley airport at 3:30 am the morning of 2/15/23 to find out our flight was canceled and switched to the next day yet our itinerary on Expedia still said we were leaving 2/15. And still today, our itinerary still shows we were suppose to leave 2/15!!

Feb 25 I booked the following reservation. I did a mistake while trying to change dates virtuly and did a cancelation. I contact Expedia via phone asking to reinstate the reservation. All of what they said was "I'm sorry we cannot do a refund or reinstate your reservation because the vendor (hotel) did not approve it. I contacted the hotel, they said they have not receive the reservation much the less the payment. During our recent trip to Punta Cana via Air Transit and after using Expedia for several years we found out after boarding the Air Transit bus to the resorts that we were not entitled to the transport. After being extremely embarrassed and removed from the bus we found out that our All inclusive did not include ground transport to and from the resort as per previous years.

As a disabled veteran this made for a very unpleasant experience and further expense. We were told that a Rep would be at the resort and therefore hoping to resolve the issue, however a Rep from expedia never showed and didn't during our 11 day stay.

Expedia gave me the wrong flight departure time of 8pm for my Swoop flight when the flight actually left at 5:34pm. This made me miss my flight. 05 to fly out to my destination the next day with Porter airlines.

You all are crazy if you use Spirit Airlines. Jenna warned me but I didn't listen. So we were leaving Jamaica and was texted that the flight was 40 minutes delayed. What could we do? I booked a flight with with American Airlines through Expedia. A family emergency arose which required me to travel a week later than booked for. I got a chat line with Rakesh and he informed me that I could change my flight but would have to pay the difference in price, but there would be no change fee. 99 for the ticket.

I explained that I had already paid $411 for my original ticket and that the amount he quoted me was actually a new ticket and was in fact a charge. I looked online and found the flight for $497. I expected to pay the difference of $497-411, or $86.

I booked a teturn trip from Kailua-Kona to Newcastle upon tyne to tend to my father's funeral. On my return trip with 7 year old child, I missed my flight from Paris to LAX due to only being given a 1 hour layover to get to my connecting flight.

I was still stuck in the long security line when my flight actually left. I visited airfrance customer service, who the flight was with and they could only get me connecting flights out the following day, 24 hours later. I had to book and pay for my own hotel because they said that it was not their responsibility that Expedia made such an impossible short connection time and that the airport is far too large for anyone to connect flights in such a short period of time.

From time to time we all have bad days and may experience bad customer service with a company. Honestly, EVERY experience we have had with this company has been terrible. We are a property management company that has vacation rentals on its website.

Their website for “owners” has 20th-century technology. And when we contact their customer (no) service our issues never get resolved. This is a classic example of a company so big that they lose touch with their customer and are successful in spite of itself.

I redeemed credits from2019 to travel in Australia. Two and a half hours on phone in December to organise the airline tickets from Perth QF 936 to Brisbane on 2 February 2023, then 15 Februrary 2023 Cairns QF 1713 to Brisbane QF 943 return to Perth.

Tickets were issued via email, Expedia account 71005612055. Upon arriving at Perth aqirport on 2 Feb 2023, no e Ticket was available QANATS staff could nto assit as it was issued by Expedia. I contacted Expedia emergency number, no answer for over 1 hour. 88.
