I purchased a pc from best buy 3 years ago and bought a full service contract. A few days ago I contacted the squad for a tuneup but they were unable to take over my pc. They suggested that I bring the pc into the brick,nj store.

I told the store tech about the problem & he told me to pick it up the next day. When I arrived he told me he tuned up the pc but was unable to fix the problem about taking over the pc because he said it was too old and he could'nt help. He was lying.

Just a few days prior I contacted Adbloc to get rid of unnecessary ads. They gave me a code number, I entered it in my pc and they took control. Now if Adbloc could achieve takeover, effortlessly, than why could'nt geek squad.

I am most unhappy with the new terms of service and organization (or disorganization) of the Geek Squad. I do not mind paying $200 for a service that was free months ago but at that price, I should be able to choose which tech I want coming to my home.

For 8 days I have been lied to, given conflicting information, and told there was no way to contact corporate. They placate me by saying one thing but doing another. They do not have the supervisors return promised calls. Some operators say they have no way of getting in contact with other departments.

Others say they can access information, make promises, and then cannot be reached again. They have no repercussions for lying. One tech said the person I requested no longer worked for Best Buy Geek Squad. The next told me that wasn't true…

I had a problem with a virus. Had a problem trying to set up an appt. via phone. Made an appt. and phone Geek Squad Cancelled it. Bottom line, Geek Squad wiped out all my passwords on my computer. In the 10 years I've been there, nothing like this has happened.

Maybe thats because all new people since you put in policy, can't be promoted if your white. All your good agents have moved on. You have become a cheap, non customer focused company. Take it to the bank I will be looking elsewhere in October.

I've heard I can get the same kind of service in my area. Don't have to put up with sometime rude agents!!!!!!!

They drilled a hole thru my electrical wire in our new home over 3 weeks ago . Had to have an electrician open a hole in my new home. Had to have the whole fixed and now painted . Trying to geek squad to come back and reinstall tv on wall .

I don’t want this young man to lose his job but I think it’s necessary to inform GeekSquad of reckless driving on behalf of one of their employees. On Saturday January 6th at approximately 11:45am at the intersection of Fremont Road and Kirkville Road in East Syracuse, NY.

There are 2 left turn only lanes turning left onto Kirkville Road from Fremont. I was first at the right light on the right side turning lane and a geek squad van was second in the left side turning lane.

When the light turned green we all start turning left. I follow the flow of traffic and begin to merge behind the first car in the other lane to my right. The geek squad van sped up tailing the vehicle infront of him.

At this point he should have let me merge as the lane I was in ended but he was not going to let me…

C EMAILEDfor help on “connect ting new pc with air printer, eventually got Mt Mayihashi who asked many questions several 2-3 times.

Finally switched (STILL ON email and I finally got ,Ananya) who ignored my request she slow down, gave me written directions to do xxx on printer but it would not work and then she simply hung up. I was trying to tell her the instructions were not working but she would not acknowledge.

Matag fridge not working. Have extanded guarantee with geek squad. Reported the issue from Dec 19 and talked to them many many many times and always excuses and tech will call us even they gave us whirlpool phone number to contact them because the did a service call with them ,call whirlpool many times, they said they received absolutely nothing from geek squad.

After spending 6 hours trying to resolve a computer technical problem i contacted the Geek Squad. Long story short, after 90 minutes with me they managed to actually make my situation worse by messing up a 2nd device and without notice, hung up on me and never called me back.

The top of my screen said iwas contacted to Mansfield Geek Squad. So i had to call them againand prayed for a better tech. I did get a better tech the 2nd time who did help me out. He stayed with me until 12:34 am.

My trust in them is not what it should be. That is unfortunate. More unfortunate is tat Best Buy store managers are aware and don't address these issues. Shame on Best Buy.

I called the Geek Squad number for Santa Rosa Ca as my Ring doorbell, purchased & installed by the Geek Squad in January is not working. The first person I spoke with, Chris, took my information and then said I need to speak with someone who could schedule a repair visits.

I was passed on to the next person who needed to take all of my information again and when he put me on hold to find times for a home repair. My pacbell email keeps locking me out. I have had 6 different Geek squad people work on it and every time telling me it is fixed, few days later same problem. Last person here on 10/23/23, 3 days later, same problem.

Calling over and over, on the phone for hours, have my computer so messed up can not get service over the internet have to have in home visits. They even give you fake case numbers or disconnect you if you ask for a supervisor.

Now the next appointment I can get is for 11/10/23 so I have been unable to get my e-mails for over 3 weeks by then and I have bills that come in on my e-mails that will be late. Customer Service is horrible and the quality of the techs once you finally get help is very lacking.

The tech at Best Buy West Edmonton was supposed to get my google back onto my IPAd. I don’t know how it disappeared. He did not seem to know how to do that and kept asking other members. Finally he tried to look it up on his smart phone.

After an hour he put on Google Chrome which does not open the usual google search page. I have to go through several steps and type in my search on the google website. Then he actually removed my Safari program so I can’t use it.

I went in for service on my Apple iPad. I had a 220 in the afternoon and Saturday, October 28, 2023. I was called up to the geek representative and he performed all the necessary functions that I had to have done to my Apple iPad.

Except when he said put in my email address and I forgot the password on my computer I said to him you need to have some patience because it’s taking me a little bit, time to remember I’m 75 years old and I said you need to have patience and he replied, move it along.

There are other people waiting. He did not take consideration that I have parkinsonism that I do take Time he didn’t have the time to give me, so I am unhappy with the geek squad .

Multiple phone calls and online chats with Geek Squad agents without getting any help in connecting a wifi mesh extender but I was left with damage to my new laptop because I gave two agents remote access. They messed up basic routines, screwed up Edge, and then closed the online chat. Wasted my whole afternoon.

I will be returning both wifi extenders and I plan to cancel my subscription to the Best Buy Concierge Service. What a joke. It doesn't help that all six of the agents I tried to speak with today were hard to understand because of thick accents.

I have no objections to accents, but if I cannot understand the agent, I cannot get the help I called for (and paid for). I'm very unhappy.

Purchased very expensive Kitchenaid refrigerator from Best Buy. Automatic closing drawers did not work. Geek squad came immediately & fixed problem. Told us to purchase their warranty on refrigerator (over $300) & they would repair or replace anything! Even if a light bulb went out. Bought it!

Now icemaker went out & they say cant work on this product during 1st yr factory warranty. After upsetting call to Kitchenaid (whirlpool) they will send local repairman (7 days) & he will decide if repair is needed. 00 Refrigerator lasted 8 months & $300. Geek squad “warranty” useless.

) Very annoying. He took control of my desktop computer and could not solve the problem of my computer having no sound. I then took my desktop to our local Best Buy, at Southridge, South 76th Street, Greenfield, Wisconsin. I did this yesterday, Oct. 9.

) A member of the Geek Squad looked the computer over and did not know what the issue was of having no sound. He brought the computer back to the Tech men working in another room. They had no idea either.

I am home now with a computer with no sound. 99 a year for this service. What happened to your Geek Squad? I had great repair service until this event. Never again will I pay for the annual Geek Squad service.

3. Had to call Customer service they informed me that it was ready, I get to store and they tell me it has not been worked on

4. Employee suggested I take my phone without being fixed

5. Had to wait addl1.5 hrs at store while they replace screen protector on my phone

6. Overall…Horrible HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience… would never recommend this company.

On 10/5/2023, Jhansi tried to help me install my new ET-2800 Epson printer. She was very nice and tried very hard but was clearly unfamiliar with the printer and was unsuccessful. My printer is now flashing and I believe that she followed an incorrect sequence wherein the printer ink charging needed to be completed before the install application.

I hope when she sent a command to print that she did not damage my printer which was not even out of the box before I spoke with her. She set up an appointment for me tomorrow and also told me that she was going to remove artifacts from my laptop from having been connected online.

1. , this agent, Haseeb, came in as a second tier of Mac computer help, but he abused those privileges by downloading a new browser into my computer and changing my computer's pathways for connecting to websites without asking my permission.

He changed the network browser preferences that were set up in my Systems Presences on my MacBook Air, leaving my computer unable to open links and websites; because my computer pathways were blocked from the background changes that this agent made on my computer. I had a realtively simple issue and that is ALL that I wanted addressed. The first agent who took my call obviously did not know what she was doing as she jumped all over the place, coming back to the same sires several times.

After wasting 30 min of my time, she transferred me to someone else. Told him the same thing, ONLY address my concern, restore the download notification to the bottom of the screen. Of course he started some kind of scan, hung up the phone, and then he too jumped all over the place.

If i could give them 0 stars i would! I received and email from edith morris saying i would be charged $417 for something i didnt even know i had!!! So i call the number on the email. 3 hours later!!

Of downloading shit on my MAC 3 hours of frustration they finally refunded my money. After, telling me i have to log into my bank account, and telling them no!!!! Un real!!! Never ever in my life had such a difficult time. Too forever. NEVER again!!!!!!

Technician came to check out my broken Samsung 55" TV. Needed to order parts, and then to return another day. After he left, send txt message with link to pay for the initial visit. Ok, $139, no problem. Opened the link, inserted my credit card information, didn't go through.

Another link, again, another link.... 6 times. Then I check my credit card accounts, and I have 2 pending charges of $139. The weekend comes, next work day I contact Best Buy (since technician does not answer me via txt) to make sure payment went through. " they said.

My complaint is that the technician who worked on my computer removed a lot of files that I need and also removed my computer passwords from my old hard drive so that I can't get online to my bank which is Bank of America. The Geek Squad at Best Buy has made it very difficult for me to make the initial appointment to get my computer fixed.

My computer isn't exactly fixed because I can't get to a lot of stuff that I had on my old hard drive. I don't seem to have that much to work with. In fact, my computer is in worse shape then it was when I took it to get it supposedly fixed.

I am sick and tired of being treated like a nobody.

On July 12, 2023, I scheduled an appointment to install a car stereo in a 2006 Mazda3. I was told the 3 items I wanted and would help complete my installation will be in stock at the store location. The first time I went in for my scheduled appointment on July 19, 2023, there were no parts in stock (Universal Analog Steering Wheel Interface,Dash 2004-2009 Mazda3,Turbo Wiring Harness for Most 2001 and Later Mazda Vehicles) and my appointment will have to be rescheduled.

Rescheduled appointment #2 on Sat August 12, 2023, I get a call from Jose that my appointment will have to be rescheduled again due to the other employee calling ouit sick. Which is unstandable. Rescheduled appointment #3 on August 22, 2023.

I have paid for Geek Squad for many, many years. Every time I need something they do more damage than help the situation. I have tried to stop them from doing something, but they have control of the mouse and I am unable to x out the connection.

it is countless times that this occurred.

For example today, I connected, and once again nothing was accomplished and other printers now do not work. The hp computer is maybe 3-4 years old, not used often. I ask them to call so I may explain the issues, but they never call and just disconnect.

Te in Ian came to my home 04/08/23 and damaged my kitchen wood floors as he failed to bring any kind of protection during the dishwasher repair.. I filed a claim 04/09/23 and was told I would receive a call.

I am getting the run around . I have made multiple calls to Best Buy and Sedgwick and calls and e-mails are not being responded to.. this is horrible service and I need best buy to be responsible . I spoke with a supervisor over two weeks ago .

I was to have a Geek Agent at my house between 9 - 11 am on August 15th. I finally text Marvin the Geek agent at 11:05 and he responded at 11:20 that he was sick and I was taken off his board.

He gave me the 1 800 number. I feel that someone should have called me and set up another agent to come to the house. I had to call the 800 number and was given someone that should be her by 12:30.

They wouldn't give me a number to call to confirm that the agent would actually show up. I have wasted all this time and now I will continue to waste more time. What a poor service that the Geek Squad performs.

I received an invoice for Geek Squad renewal and I did not intend to renew my subscription. I called to cancel and receive a refund the same day I got it. The person on the other phone was very difficult to hear with the background noise and muffled voice.

He walked me through my computer showing how to get the refund and end the service, I did, and then noticed that my mouse pointer was moving and it was not me doing it. My screen explained that I would be getting a refund sent to my bank, I said, no, I want it credited back to my card.

He said it has to be electronically sent to your bank account, you need to type in your name and the name of the bank. " He said, it knows from your IP address. " Ya, scam. If you get a one of these invoices don't trust it!

I have had bad service from the Geek Squad in the last week. Agent took over remotely and supposedly fixed the issue with my computer. I wasn't able to get back to my computer until later in the evening to discover that the agent made a mess of things.

I had long hold times and supposedly had call back, but no one ever called back. I had agents in chat area that said they were an agent and would be with me in 2-3 minutes and after an hour they went away.

I would get someone else and the same thing again waiting for another agent ,etc. They were waiting to go home and didn't want to work. I had to be online from 8:00 pm to after 10:00 pm. What bad service and outsourcing to another country makes it very hard to even understand the agents or trust the agents.

This is not the Total Tech…

One of your drivers was driving very fast and running stop signs in a neighborhood with a 25 mph limit. When I turned around to get info on license plate, truck number, etc. he pulled over and confronted me in a very threatening way.

" and then started threatening me telling me he'll come back and "fuck me up" etc. I told him his manager and the president was going to see this. My phone was ready to die and it kept stopping the recording.

When I call for computer support I get someone who doesn’t understand or speak English enough to carry on a conversation with. I paid good money to be able speak to someone about technical issues and all I get is extremely frustrated and angry.

I don’t blame the people from India, they only want a job. It’s your job to provide a service that is usable and valuable to your customers.

The agent at geek squad gave my computer (that was in for a tune up while I was on vacation) to some guy. This guy now is in possession of my personal home computer. The agent did not follow policy on checking the ID and now my life is vulnerable in every aspect of the word. It’s been 24 hours.

I’ve had to cancel and place pause on all my accts. This desk top computer runs my business and I am unable to make scheduled payments or simple transactions. I’ve not slept in two days wondering if my identity will be stolen.

I have never called geek squad before. The reason I had called was regarding the protection of a laptop that was a gift for my daughter. All I wanted to know was if it was current. The man on the phone with a very thick accent was so rude, and spoke over me and wouldn't let me even speak!

I was trying to explain that first and foremost I was trying to ask my concern and also that it was difficult to understand what he was saying. He was very impatient and wouldn't let me express my concern at all. I couldn't believe this!

I asked for a supervisor and I was declined and hung up on. Very unprofessional and definitely should maybe consider taking public relations and skill. How horrible!

On Monday the 17th of July 2023 I purchased the Geek Squad tech support plan. On that day I dropped my laptop off at the Marysville Washington store. I indicated several problems I was having with the laptop. On Thursday the 20th I received an email stating computer was ready for pickup.

On Friday the 21st the Geek Squad tech said everything is good to go. To be sure I turned the laptop on while at the Geek Squad counter in the Marysville Washington store and found that Outlook outgoing emails still did not work.

My older Windows 10 PC experienced an unanticipated auto update a few days ago. My desktop and most of any personal setups I had disappeared. The start button and the search bar would not respond. I spent over two hours yesterday with two "advanced level" technicians to no avail.

They ran a bunch of diagnostics but didn't touch the problem. They disconnected without my knowledge and reported in the summary that the issues had been resolved. Not true. Again, I am trying this morning to get some help from another agent.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the service that I have received. In the past I have always received exemplar service. Not the case this time.

i spent 15 minutes waiting for chat. got chat, lots of politeness, then the guy disconnected me - name was Sagnik. We have a simple problem. would have taken two seconds. after explaining it twice, he disconnected the chat no warning or explanation.

I pay for a year's service. The person I'm trying to help pays for a year's service. That should count

Went to best buy branch #190. To do a service on my phone since it cover under samasung warranty. It was replacing a screen protector. Had to leave for a 1h service. The screen protector failed in 3 day. So I scheduled for service again.

The 2nd time I came and was told they ran out and should receive more within a few days. Got a call from geek squad few days later stating my phone is ready. I told them I had no phone there.

But ask if there any screen protector? The technician said yes we have 1. Come In and we have to change out. So I came in the 3rd time. Wait almost 30 mins in front while the technician hand my phone working in the back.

He come out telling me he broke a tab on the new film so he wasn't able to replace it. Now I call best buy main corporation and explain my ordeal.…

Best Buy Geek Squad East Brunswick, NJ. Monday, July 3rd at 10:20 am agent spent 1 and 1/2 hours on laptop and messed it up and didn't log in service. Tuesday, July 4th at 11:20 am agent worked on laptop and fixed most problems done by previous day's agent and also did not log in service.

Called, spoke to a ‘Jen’ offshore. Rude, kept touching Mike with something so difficulty hearing on top of LOUD call center, talking to FAST with accent, - so hearing issues- When I advised of these issues & requested US person to assist- SHE REFUSED, argued & continued to try to get my personal info- I refused to give it until I could fully be able to hear & speak to US.

My issue was NEVER addressed & she refused to transfer-I hung up. Will NEVER use Geek Squad & at this point will likely NEVER GO INTO ANOTHER BEST BUY! If we are treated in such a rude & hostile manner- we will take our business elsewhere.

When a phone tree routes you back to offshore & another 7 min wait- Horrible customer care experience. Shame on you Geek Squad!!

The case number is P2567543 I have a thumb drive that is not recognizable. I thought maybe I could get some help since I pay for this service. I spoke with a woman who said she wanted to run some test. And she turned it over to a person named Joseph. who started some memory test that was taking a while. When I asked what they were doing he said testing the system for the corrupted file I said it was on an external drive why would they need to test my computer.

He then told me I didn't know who I was dealing with he was a trained technician not some guy off the street. I said I didn't like his attitude and said he didn't like mine and ended the session.

I’ve been a customer of Geek Squad & Best Buy for many years. Today though I was extremely upset with two remote events that took place while trying to schedule a in-site visit which I had done in the past successfully without any problem.

Today’s upsetting events were the following: 1) I was hung up by the agent during a phone conversation when trying to schedule the home visit. In the middle of the conversation the agent hung up. 2) Continuing to schedule the home visit via chat, I went all the way to payment when the message that the Invoice was no longer valid, and at the same time a message was shown that the chat had been discontinued. The agent was Aravind.

I was with Geek Squad for 15+ years and always got good service, even with the communication problem. I dropped them because the last 6-7 times they worked on my computer they did not fix any thing I ask them to fix.

The last 5 times I spent 2-4 hours online checking how to fix it myself. 00 per year to fix the problem myself. Talked to supervisor and got a lot of "sorry" but no solution.
