This evening I picked up 2 laptops that I had dropped off for data transfer. Service Order 00420340852939. I am hard of hearing so I asked the representative to speak up, whereas he responded, "no". He also refused to expound on the work performed.

If that's a kind of service to be expected from the Geek Squad. I'll find business elsewhere.

Yesterday I received an email from Geek Squad that my account has been suspended for no reason. When I bought my computer in January, 2023, I took out a year membership with Geek Squad, and then I receive this email that my account has been suspended.

When I called Geek Squad today, I was advised by service rep Will, that it was suspended due to the fact that they had no credit card on file for me. I don't understand, because I paid for a full year's membership.

Can you please explain to me what I am supposed to do? I want to renew it in January 2024, however I have no clear instructions on what to do? Is my account suspended? If I cannot get clear direction on what to do, I will file a complaint with the Ontario Ombudsman regarding this matter. Thank-you!

Had component speakers installed rear deck speakers in a subwoofer and amp and an LLC screwed up everything left my car dirty all fingerprints everywhere and my brand new Mustang GT performance package only thing that works is a subwoofer very disappointed I had to go I had to go back and forth two times once for the speakers once for the amp to have installed cuz they messed up the invoice so they say I say b*******

After repairing my laptop Geek Squad delivered it to my apartment building and let someone else sign it under a false name who then kept the computer. Myself and my friend were home all day and night and never heard any doorbell etc.

so I think the delivery person rang the wrong doorbell for the wrong apartment and it was his mistake. Now I am out of a computer. I asked my neighbours (there are 9 apartments altogether) but everyone denied having signed for it.

On 6-28-2022 I purchased a HP Desktop computer from Best Buy, store # 793, in Dothan, Al, I purchased the Total Tech Membership. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carried my old computer in for them to transfer everything to the new computer. Had to leave it for them to transfer everything.

Said it would be a couple of days for them to do everything. Called a couple days later to check on it. Called the store but I wound up talking to somebody somewhere? They checked and said it was ready to pick up.

Drove to store, about 25 or 30 miles one way, to pick up. Was not ready. People in store could not find out who I talked with. Said it would be another day or two before it would be ready.

They made two appointments for a FREEZER that stopped working. Had whole checklist of what we had to do to prepare--moving everything out of the refrigerator and freezer, making a place for them to work, etc. etc. This was really important.

Then they did not show up the first day, we waited from 7am to 7pm, made an appointment for the second day and we waited again from 8 am to 6pm. NO CALLS, NO TEXTS, NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER. Just nothing.

How can they stay in business cheating customers like this. When I called to complain the nice agent said they were on their way but might have been delayed in someone's house. We should have been first after being stood up the day before with no explanation, no apology, nothing.

Geek Service is a rip off and Samsung Refrigerators belong in the trash…

I recently filed a claim on a cell phone which resulted in a replacement device being sent. Seemed pretty simple, however the replacement device I received was defective. Attempted to call to speak with someone regarding the issue and after several attempts I was still in circles pressing prompt after prompt not able to reach a live person.

I was able to connect with someone through online chat, only to be told the claim was closed and I needed to file a new claim and start the process all over again. They were not willing to re-open the existing claim and send me a replacement device upfront.

THey asked for a $800 deposit or I could wait for them to send me an empty box, send the phone back to them, wait for them to assess it and then get a device sent back to me. This whole process…

Laptop has been with Geek Squad since Jan 18th. It has been returned multiple times not repaired due to authorization issues. Each time authorization was provided. It was returned several times and supposedly repaired but only to actually NOT be repaired.

Customer service has been outsourced to non English speaking call centers and are barely understandable! I will NEVER use thier service again. I will buy 50 new devices from a pawn shop before I shop geek squad or Best Buy ever again!

Agent Kannamala got on the line, but never communicated with me. After a while, he disconnected, and sent an email that he had fixed the problem. In fact he blocked out all my apps on my desktop, and left me with no solution to my problem.

Online technicians did not listen to real issue and were not qualified to address my issue. I had inadvertantly removed my profile from Microsoft Outlook. I didn't understand that removing my profile would result in loosing all my data' email, contacts, calendar, etc.

I knew that Outlook keeps a local data file but could not find where it is kept but understood it would be overwritten if I closed the application. The technician imported the data from an old backup on my local drive and then closed the session.

When I opened Outlook, it appreared nothing had been done. The technicians summary did not indicate they had done anything to restore my data. Consequently I set up another session. I could tell by watching my screen that the second technician did not appear to understand the issue…

Asked for help with replacing an HP laptop battery. Gave me all wrong info - after giving him computer info he confirmed had battery in stock at my closet store. Set up a GS appointment and went in to learn that they do not stock batteries and I would have to buy one on line and bring it in to another appointment.

So I bought battery from BB (one recommended by chat guy) and set up another appointment to have it installed. When arrived was told not the right battery and they were uanble to help me locate correct one. So upset with all the time wasted and still need battery replacemnt.

Doubt that I will ever buy another computer from BB.

I had an appointment on April 29th between 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Then I received email stating Brian was going to come to about 2:25 pm. I waited all day then at 3:14 pm I called the geek squad to see what the delay was.

The geek squad told me that Brian showed up and took a picture and called me which is not true. I live in a building so if he thought the lobby door was locked Brian could call me and I would tell him is unlocked and broken but no such thing occurred.

They told me he took a picture. I’m sure the picture was of my building not my apartment. I’ve had other companies call me when they arrive and think they can’t get inside building. No excuse. I am very upset as geek squad called dispatch and they said they couldn’t send anyone to my home today which is unacceptable.

GEEK SQUAD AND BEST BUY COMPLAINT

In July 2022, my brother bought me a Lenovo laptop and printer as a birthday present, and the experience of “fixing it” has been a nightmare. The printer though installed by the Geek Squad kept going offline, also, the scanner, which required numerous calls and visits, wasting of hours, and affecting my work. On the last Geek visit 3/15/23, Shannon LaBeach, a “double-agent” reinstalled the printer saying it had not been properly installed (by Geek,) and assured me no more problems but call or email him personally if there were a problem. My brother had also paid for Total Tech to insure ease of operation. i went to get the hinge of my laptop fixed a few days ago and they said that they are shipping my laptop off to their warehouse in kentucky rather than fixing it in my home state. i expressed that i don't want my laptop fixed anymore as it still works perfectly but they ignore me and decide to still ship my laptop to kentucky.

geek squad even has so many lawsuits for being unfaithful to their customers, from stealing thousands of dollars from a couple's bank account to publishing a customer's private files to the public. i do not trust this company anymore and i want my laptop back now!!!!

I had an appointment at 5:40 and wasn’t seen until almost 6:00. Told to come back at 6:40. I came back at 6:45 and he hadn’t even started resetting the phone. He blamed it on being busy and had a huge amount of attitude when I tried to explain to him that I didn’t have much time. Horrible experience.

I’ll never return to Best Buy for ANYTHING EVER.

Strong-armed me into upgrading service before they would fix the issues on my computer. Then attempted to charge the $200 fee to "AZ solutions", when that failed they asked for an ACH Wire transfer (no way), then a PayPal payment.

When they loaded that for me to approve the payment was going to "Newport Auto Detailing". I had no contract for what they were selling me; it felt wrong and very upsetting as I have had Geek Security for years and it was still in effect so I should not have had to pay at all.

Now I am paranoid about using my computer because they did not strike me as professional, above board Geek employees.

You increased my membership fees substantially and the service is significantly lacking. I have an issue with my personal desktop computer (not my work computer which is totaly a separate system) in which OUTLOOK apparently receives email as the NEW button shows new emails but when clicking the NEW the emails do not populate (show the list of emails).

I had a chat last week about the issue and the rep says...don't worry we will resolve the issue, blah, blah, blah. Nothing was resolved and the agent told me to go to the local Best Buy and have GS work on it. I do not have the time to go to Best Buy as I work from home and have lots of work to do.

I brought my ipohone in to be repaired as it was not charging through the port. It did charge on my friends wireless charger so I thought it would be a quick fix. They ran the diagnostics and said I needs new battery, which I questioned about 4 times.

Left if there for 2 hors. Came back and said it wa fixed. I should have never left the store because they gave me my phone back without being charged I was lied to. Brought my phone back home and sure enough it didn’t charge.

They ruined my screen protector and would not give me a new one . They couldn’t close the order so I waited over an hour. I left without the order finishing cuz they said thy were having system problems. Now I have to go back and waste more time.

Set up appointment with geek squad for iPad repair under AppleCare at the lancaster Ohio store 43130. Confirmed model and issue. After waiting all day for my appt. 9 and rudely stated “we don’t repair iPads “ . I tried to ask her to look the appt up.

Because there were notes on the account about the issues. She refused. I will never step foot in a Best Buy again. This was a retail experience I will never forget. geek squad 2300 N Rose ave, Oxnard Ca. Horrible service. They had me sign up for insurance, said they could fix my PC. Then called two days later said the mother board and video card were fried. They told me they would recycle it.

I said no I will pick it up. Then the admitted to cracking the edge of the screen. I asked if they dropped it. 00 store credit for crack and the I could use it for a monitor. Not right, not feeling good about this.

Case 5102713713 Murtaza told me that the work was complete and asked me to fill in the survey. I wanted to wait until checking whether work was done correctly. He insisted that I couldn't do that and I filled the survey in all excellents.

I restarted my computer and discovered that the work was not done. I tried to get the work completed again today, but was transferred and then hung up on. I will continue to try to get tech support I need after I complete this.

He asked me some questions about the email says that I did not have an account with them, or there was no purchase of a subscription. (I have dealt with fraud here recently with my social). I wanted to know if this was part of it, if somebody was using my name to buy a subscription.

I have been trying to cancel a extended warranty since Oct 2022. In October 2022. At that time it was realized they had been double billing me for extended warranty on my computer for almost 3 years. (I originally thought they were phone extended warranties packages as we had several).

I requested all extended warranty programs be canceled and I get a refund for the over payment, they have continued to charge me the extended warraty on one computer. They did give me two payments of 38 dollars back in November and that was the end.

I call them monthly and they keep charging me. I am so done with this, I will now look at what options I have left to not only get my refund but stop the billing.

Staff are always rude at the Taylor location. They take way to long to help you and then after you wait 30 min to an hour they offer to make you an appointment to come back after ignoring you for extended periods of time.

They are unhelpful, never smile, unfriendly and lazy. Taylor, Michigan is the worst. Dakota is the worst with this behavior.

and once connected with only one of the agents trying to work through the problem and that was the inexperienced first agent, Angelica.

i had a problem scanning documents to my email. I would add notes to the email, but when sent would only send the attached scan and not the notes. the Agent, Sumana Das worked on this from around 1 pm till 2:3- pm Thursday.

My pin # was written down on the printout form, and I asked to heave it covered up. The employee scribble lightly with an ink pen which did absolutely nothing to cover it up. Do I asked if he could tear it off and give it to me he said no and that he would shred it.

But when taken to ( the shredder) there was no shredder but papers bulging out of this little slot which was clearly not a shredder nor shredding. Sounds asked again to just tear it off and give it to me and he stated that it was against company policy to give me the portion I asked for.

So he proceeded to tear it up in my presence as if he was the shredder. All this and I just wanted my pin # protected. Either he is misinformed or he needs training terribly. Not sure if I’ll use Geek Squad for my needs seems mom and pop…

Very poor customer service, even at the supervisor level. I had 2 reps today tell me they sent over a document I needed then a supervisor came on the line and said the reps were lying to me and that he cant provide this document and I had to go to the store.

Informed him that the store was 1 hour - 15 mins away (1 way) and he said he wasn't allowed to send the document. This group was all over the place and didn't resolve my issue.

I needed help fixing my onedrive.

first off your tech didnt use your program to talk he used notepad instead. Is this normal? Turns out i needed to restore files from onedrive back into a folder i deleted them from. I also needed to stop a sync issue.

The class 2 tech just closed the program and said "is there anything I can help you with". This stopped the sync and nothing else. I told him we had to wait for a download to finish that took about 15 min.

He then assured me everything would be fine and left. Everything was not fine. I called back and was about to be forced to pay again when i asked for a mananger so i could plan an in home visit to fix my computer.

Very rude Geek Squad employee very rude and parked company vehicles in my spot so he could get breakfast tacos. 2023 at approximately 11:00 am. Address as Snover Dr Houston, TX. Drivers plate # LLF1909. He was parked for over 45 minutes and I asked him to move and he said I got food.

I sat in my car and he proceeded to talk on his cellphone and after approximately 7 minutes and then he finally drove off extremely slow.

I just had the worst service I have ever experienced with Geek Squad. I praise your team from the prior service call. I rate them with 5-stars!

However, this morning your technical support personnel clearly had little experience. She repeatedly asked me questions about information my previous technical support team saw within my previous service call. (service rendered).

She was argumentative, whenever, I would try to communicate with her. (session ID: Cas-14109199-Q4R0Z3. Date(1677159817000) My computer has a virus......your support team worked with me on this problem last week too (they resolved it at that time) The tech this morning was very rude. Made a reservation to replace my iPhone battery and it was confirmed. Later, showed up to the appointment and they told me the battery wasn’t in stock. He told me that’s how the Apple policy with Geek Squad is. They will take reservations not knowing if they will have the piece in time.

I purchased a new laptop in June. I took it and my old PC to Best Buy in Mt. Vernon to have the data migrated to my new laptop. When I took the laptop home, I could not find or access my files.

I went back several times. 49 for data migration, which why I was there in June! I never was asked for my credit card, nor did I enter a pin or swipe, tap or any action to authorize the charge.

I cannot get any help resolving this, insensitive customer service.

On February 2, 2023, my husband took my iphone 12 mini into Best buy to get repaired. Geek squad sent my iphone 12 mini to an apple warehouse. The phones repair was completed on February 7, 2023, and it was expected to be shipped back to geek squad on February 8, 2023.

It is now February 21,2023, and I do not have my iphone 12 mini in hand. Because apple is a third party in this situation there is nothing they can do, they recommended I contact Best buy(geek squad). Geek squad said there was nothing they can do, contact Apple.

For the last 3-4 days this has been nothing but madness. I even had Apple and Geek squad on three way and nothing got resolved. I need my actual phone, or I need my phone replaced. This is not fair, I did not lose the phone, and I have done everything I was…

Where do I even begin? 00 credit for a canceled purchase of an exchange for a broken refrigerator for over 6 months. In early February I spoke to a nice guy who told me that he could see that there was an issue on their end and he would sent out a reimbursement check. It never came.

So I kept calling back and 98% of the time I would call to ask for a refund I would either be transferred to a new person or hung up on. Clearly their call center is working from home because one time I called and a woman answered in Spanish and started cursing at me before she hung up.

When I called back, the nice lady I spoke to told me she would stay on the line and make sure someone answered, she then transferred me and someone answered. When I asked them what department they were with - once again I was…
