I was sold a used guitar as new. When I tried to tune it I found a problem and took it back. Their tech came out and said that the strings on it were not the strings that were on it the day before and that the nut had been filed.

He stated it was fine the other day when they got it back. I told him that is exactly how I bought it. If it was fine the day before what reason would anyone have to file the nut or change strings.

I have bought about 15 guitars from guitar center and about 10 from musicians friend and have not had a problem till this guy called me a liar. I don't know why he lied and said the things he did.

I called the manager when I got home to let him know his tech was lying or incompetent. The manager told me they put new strings on it and it was fine. Well if the nut had…

I used the chat to inquire about guitar lessons. The person on the chat was of no help. In fact the rep encouraged me to go elsewhere. This is the second time I enquired about I UT lessons. The first time I asked about lessons the person at the desk though a mandolin was a woodwind.

Do you train your employees? I am very disappointed with Guitar Center. Please explain the poor customer service.

Went to my local Guitar center with some used equipment to turn into a gift card so i could purchase a new instrument from Guitar center. 2 guitars in flawless condition. A squire affinity P bass and a Fender FA-135CE All-Mahogany Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar .

Also a Ibanez Soundwave 35 Bass amp in good condition. The salesman said we don't buy ibannez amps. He barely opened the cases to the guitars and said they are not buying any used equipment right now especially low end.

Well i bought the low end stuff from Guitar center!!!! Your website goes on and on about buying used equipment. You should get sued for false advertisement. I have been a loyal customer to Guitar center for many years but not anymore.

Why doesn't anybody want to answer the phone and when they do they will hang up when you call again. This goes on no matter what day or hour of the week. It's poor business when you just finish talking to them and you callback wright after speaking with you this happens about 90% of the time then they give you the wrong answer When you go to the store after telling you yes we have what you are looking for Then

they tell you at the store they don't have what they just finished telling me over the phone they have no idea who could have told me that. What's very frustrating is they have the rude habit of deliberately hanging up when you call back.

Corporate needs to investigate the actions of Julie Torres at the WCDC. She's untouchable because she's best friends with Jerome Crossland and Valerie Espinoza. She also lives with Joe Hurtuda. She repeatedly tells us these facts on a daily basis.

We go help her every day and she disrespects us and spreads lies about us. She sends us all home at 10am while she gets to stay and get 40+hours a week. All Julie does all day is stand around complaining about everyone and making up stories about people making mistakes when she's the one making them.

I was told in a voicemail that I was rude to my instructor and for that reason I was banned from guitar center. Now my lessons are done online and recorded. I asked that the recordings be reviewed but they refused.

They also proceeded to hold onto a month's worth of lessons and not reimburse me. It's not a whole lot of money but the situation is unacceptable in every way. I suspect they came up with that "rude to your instructor" lie so they could hold onto my money without providing any service.

Why else would they refuse to review the zoom recordings of the lessons?

I just wanted to mention to you that I am very disenchanted with the guitar center anymore. I'm an older person who has bought over the years many guitars from the guitar center primarily in the Houston area. I now live in Tyler.

The store here is extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating to a potential guitar purchaser. I have long since give up buying cheap guitars. I prefer quality instruments. There are none accessible in your store without the assistance of a almost unavailable clerk.

I can think of at least 3 incidences where I have bought guitars at guitar center because I picked it up and played it and it spoke to me. Not being able to touch the guitars, much less even see what brand it is because they're hung so high, makes it almost impossible.

Ordered product on 12/6/2022 it's now 12/15/2022. All anybody can tell me is they are trying to find it in a warehouse. I received an email saying delivered in 3 to 5 business days. Company is only as good as it's kept promises.

Guitar Center was unable to match me with a suitable, in-person instructor for lessons. I paid for my lesson package in-full prior to meeting with an instructor, but the only instructor provided was not a good fit. I asked for either a new instructor during my availability, or the refund for all remaining lessons. Guitar Center could not accommodate my schedule, and it would not refund any amount.

Management andgiotarntech treated me badly. It was my go to store. They used to have great staff. Younger people. More knowledgeable and helpful. manager that shaves his head. goodnatndealing with people. He will lose many customers. I hate that place.

If I wanted to be treated like shit that's the place to go. He figured I was never there before. So I'm dirt. He does not belong dealing with people. I hate him tech same. They wouldn't even give me a local taxicab number when I asked.

Every time I order something it never gets shipped I always end up cancelling I either hear there too busy or their short handed or some other lame story I must have about 30 cancellations and on top of that if you buy something used and you get it broken they still charge you for shipping but my main complaint is how slow and ignorant these workers are that work at guitar center the ones that are on charge of shipping they promise you they will ship then

I was sold a collectible Gibson guitar at Guitar Center Lawndale that was broken before it went on sale. The guitar was subsequently repaired by Guitar Center and put on sale in the store. I have never played the guitar .

When I pulled the guitar out of the case to look at it the repair had fallen apart. I feel that the guitar should be repaired again for free or be replaced with a similar guitar. I trusted Guitar Center’s repair and quality control to be legitimate but this is not the case. Thank You Richard Andersen

An employee at the Harahan location was incredibly rude. I entered the store at 8:30pm. I told the employee that I was there to return a piece of equipment. ” I told her I didn’t appreciate the attitude. She continued to be rude and walked off when I told her I wanted to speak to a manager.

The manager came up and was very polite. The rude employee continued to run her mouth as I was explaining to the manager what happened. The rude woman should not be working in customer service. Guitar Center should have a more stringent hiring policy.

I won’t return to this location. You lost a customer.

Bought a gift card for lessons in 2021 for 4 lessons for the price of 3. 00 initiation fee, I showed up on the day and time and was looked at like I was crazy when I told them why I was there.

I went in summer of 2022 with my daughter to register for the lessons, I was told the price has gone up and I has to pay more. I was not given any paper work on how to schedule lessons, rules etc. First lesson was good.

Miamisburg guitar center should be fast as handing a napkin to a customer at a counter at McDonald’s. If I’m waiting on a customer snd I see someone else come for help. I acknowledge the customer’s existence and ask them if I can get them something quick.

All I needed was a sustain pedal tested, a sustain pedal proline pss2 pro I bought from the guitar center which took less than 2 minutes but would have taken less than 5 seconds had an employee stuck the quarter inch cord in keyboard. On top of him being rude he confessed his talking to customer was more than a napkin at McDonald’s.

Ordered a drum machine paid for overnight shipping. Placed order on the phone and the guy he phone took my info. Got my info card number etc said the item would be here day after tomorrow. not a phone call which is how i placed the order to call because the info was filled out wrong. Not my doing.

On June 16th I ordered a used pedal online that was supposed to come from the Sarasota store in Florida. Every time I checked the tracking it said that post office was waiting for the item. When I called for help to find out where my item was I was told it was probably lost in the mail and that they were going to start a search and that somebody would call me back the next day and let me know what was happening..

Issue with lessons over charge for 6 weeks, noone in store will resolve, get different stories and excuses every time, talking with someone in store today, told me he was the manager, then told me he was the lead, then when i asked him for his name, told me he didn't feel comfortable giving me his name, then i asked or his bosses information which he wouldn't give to me.

So now, i've been dealing with an issue for 6 weeks, on top of a very rude store "manager/lead" who also probably lies about his position. Now I'm out of 3 lessons I paid for for my son because noone can take care of a customer.

I have experienced both at this store, but of course, it’s the latter that prompted this complaint. As a luthier specializing in fine acoustic guitars, I am frequently asked to help first time guitar players.

I ran across a Martin guitar, with some damage to the top. I found an employee and asked about a possible discount on this guitar, he took one look at the guitar and agreed that it should be discounted if it were to be sold, however he was not in the sales department so he called another employee Larry.

This is a good one. I received a couple of gift card and I chose a used guitar. I decided that I would shop at the one place I have know about for 30+ years, Guitar Center. I found a guitar I wanted and after looking it it I wanted to ask a question about it.

So I called the it was at (I'll just say the state) Ohio. So I call and speak with someone and I give them the Item number. " I was told that there isn't a tremolo on the guitar. I say, "but I'm looking at a picture and I see that there is one".

Absolute worst customer service ever experienced. Brought in my brand new acoustic electric I purchased from Towson guitar center. The input jack stopped working the next day. I brought it in to have it looked it. Keep in mind I paid extra for the protection plan.

They told me to comeback on a weekday. I came in on a Saturday store was slow maybe 3 other customers. They couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. Couldn’t even take 5 seconds to plug it in to verify the input jack was faulty.

I mean what kind of customer support is that. I live 45 minutes away and cleared my afternoon to bring my guitar in to have it looked at. What a joke never again guitar center.

I ordered a bass guitar on 12/16/2021 for my son for x-mass. the guitar was supposed to be sent to a guitar center near me for pick up on 12/23/2021 but was never shipped! I have been in contact with customer support and have got no answer as to why I have not received it yet.

that I have to wait for some sort of investigation? why cant you just send a new guitar? its not going to my house, its going to a guitar center!! you messed up make it right! so now its been 3 weeks since x-mass and still no guitar.

Walked into the commack store, and watched people scatter as they saw me approach with an epiphone electric guitar that needed a bridge piece and strings. i was told there would be a ONE MONTH, REPEAT ONE MONTH delay because their guitar tech was out for two weeks with sars, covid, delta, omni.

I am sick of people using this pandemic as an excuse for not doing their job. you have lost a good customer as i will NEVER darken your commack store's door or any other of your stores doors. iam totally fed up.

So I ordered a Jackson Dinky JS12 on November 24th, 2021. It is currently January 1st, 2022, and guess what I STILL DON'T HAVE THE GUITAR. I have contacted customer service so many times that I basically know all of them at this point.

My order was put on back order a hour after i ordered it. " the expected delivery date started at 12/3/21, then moved to 12/8/21. after that it was 12/11/21, then 12/15/21, 12/21/21, and finally 12/30/21. Now its fucking 1/17/21.

I don't know if I'm ever going to get my guitar. I spent almost $200 on him, and I can't even get him, like WTF. I understand that supplies is short, but if its this short then just tell me I can't get the guitar and give me a refund.

I just want my fucking guitar.

Guitar center gift cards may be worthless. Do not buy or give. I always ask for GC gift cards for birthdays and Christmas, but when I went to use a few weeks ago, 2 had already been drained. Pin was still covered which means either this scammer was able to use the card without the pin, or he works for guitar center and has access to database of card numbers and associated pins (either way Guitar Center’s responsibility).

GC even found out who used the card and still will do nothing to help. I even have images (jpeg images with metadata dates) proving when I scraped the pin cover off to use the card, spoiler alert… it was after the cards had been drained.

The number of hoops i had to search for to jump through tells me they really don't want my input, but since I am committed to being a GC customer, whether they like it, or not. ) My beef today is threefold: 1) I am doing a search of used guitars- the results are sorted, "low to high price", and the filters for "excellent", "great", and "good" condition have been selected.

First page loads- no problem. At the bottom of this page are two choices: tap the link for "2" or the ">". Either one MIGHT take me to page 2, but 99 times out of 100 it loads the default search for "Newest", and erases the filters.

When shopping for gear this pretty much stops the searching cold. After 2 or 3 attempts to refresh and reload, I will quit looking. Broken. 2) I am checking to see if a used guitar comes…

I bought a Martin guitar and some plugs worked and some didn’t for plugging it in. Called the store and they said it was probably just a adjustment ask for Steven. Called before I left and they said come on in.

I live a hour away. This was a few days after buying it. The guy who works on guitars took a fast look after arguing because he said it would be days before he could. Then he proceeded to tell me he didn’t have time for this because he had paying customers.

I thought I was a paying customer but he informed me he is not part of the guitar center. I ended up returning the guitar with a argument again to do so and I bought another. This was highly stressful to me snd after having a few heart attacks this is not the stress I need.

Purchased over 1500$ worth of equipment. Sales associate stated that if anything was wrong to come in and they would fix it as long as I had pro coverage. This is far from the truth the amp I purchased went out after two months, when I contacted guitar center Fayetteville, NC they stated that I had to contact pro coverage and hung up.

Once I contacted pro coverage they gave me line6 support number and dismissed me as well. Guitar Center has the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will no longer purchase anything from them and inform everyone I know about my horrible experience.

499 new by other companys on the enter net , and also you sel yamah and deangelico guitars that are made in korea, this mgr called me a liar about finding it on the enter net for that much money, he is taking advantage of people who need money during covid and should be fired, i'm reporting this to the federal trade commision for ripping off customers.

I am emailing you guys because I returned an electronic drum set to you guys. I obtained a shipping label through your customer service department and shipped it out with that label on May 8th. The tracking shows it was successfully delivered to your facility but I have not seen the refund in my account yet. Below is a picture of the receipt from UPS as well as the original order number. If you could follow up to let me know why it hasn't credited my account yet that would be great, thank you.

The store in Fort Collins Colorado never has what I want as a drummer. I get a certain model of Pro Mark sticks that I like and they never have them in stock again. I need drum heads and they are not in stock.

They tell me, "We can order them for you". I can order them myself.! I have been going to Guitar Center for 38 years both in Colorado and California. This store is the worst! I asked one kid in the drum department for some reso heads. They didn't have them.

He says, "You can put top heads on the bottom" . I have been paying for 52 years and there is a reason reso heads go on the bottom. Today I call to see if they have the gibraltar bass drum beater Gibraltar Felt Bass Drum Beater (Item #: 1273887992972 POS #:100212824) which I bought there before. Nope!

They need to stock drum…
