We are writing this letter to inform you of an unpleasant, frustrating, and time-consuming experience we endured during our Dollar Rental Car rental from March 18 – 20, 2021. Due to the lack of customer service, being misled regarding your reservation policies, and the hours we have spent trying to find answers, we strongly feel we should not have to pay Dollar a fee for such an inexcusable series of events. We are requesting a full refund.

I have been a loyal Hertz business customer for over 30 years. Apparently, the points earned by loyal Hertz customers had their expiration period reduced from 24 to 18 months when there is no activity in their accounts. I was not made aware of this change, via mail or email. I was also not warned when my points were about to expire. And, Hertz is one of the few travel rewards programs that does not include an expiration date for points in members online accounts.

I was laid off from my job as head of national institutional sales for a large investment firm in Sept 2019 and I found a new job in Jan 2020, just prior to the covid pandemic. I had a confirmation J69834558B8 for a car at Northwest freeway Santa Ana HLE at 12;00 when i arrived i was told they had no vehicles available, and could put me in a full size vehicle for 20 more dollars a day, i was never called to inform me of the lack of my choice of vehicle, i declined the exploitational offer, by the way it is the second time in three weeks this has occurred, Avis and Budget states on their website if vehicles are not available prior to making a reservation available just bad business practice by HERTZ

I have an accident on 8/3/20. called and made an online reservation at Hertz to pick up a car on 8/4/20. when i got to the place of business the lady told me the only car she had as a cargo van.

Then stated that Hertz does this all the time make reservations online without knowing what the company has to be rented out. I was highly pissed had to drive over 45 miles to get there and got off from work early.

I already called your complaint department and spoke with Sonja and this incident was noted on my account . I rented a vehicle on saturday the 16th of may and went to pick it up went to get in the vehicle and it smelled of cigarette smoke so we went back in the store to trade for another clean vehiicle we were given a second one with little hastle.

We drove home a few miles away to get packed up for our trip and we noticed the car was again dirty with animal hair all over seats and nose prints on the windows, we called the store back and said we wanted to return vehicle because it was dirty as well.

I rented a car for two days at the Montclair,CA office on Central Ave for about $36 per day. I am a Gold Member at Hertz. When I rented the car I told the official at the Hertz office that I might need the car for an additional day.They told me that it would not be a problem. On the afternoon of the second day, I called the Montclair office and talked to the manager, I told him that I I needed the car for one more day. He said that the extra day would cost me $100. I was traveling in Italy with a hertz rental car - I understand Hertz answered some local authorities on traffic violations and have now charged me 4 times . If Hertz provided me the complete information as stated on the Hertz form - I would be fine with the assessment of a admin charge .

I called the Hertz billing -Intl desk - and they said they are unable to provide what the traffic violation was- parking - speedinf -tolls

I was charged of $159.95 for damage waiver insurance. When I signed the papers for the car rental it was not understood that I was signing for charge for $159.95. It was my understanding that I was signing for car rental and fuel charge. I contacted customer service and unsuccessful in refunding this charge. I have full coverage auto insurance and wouldn't have agreed to damage waiver insurance because my personal insurance would have covered me for any damages.

I am asking that you refund $159.95 for damage waiver insurance that I didn't agree with or needed.

I wrote my complaint to Hertz a few days ago explaining how I am now being charged for gas for the car I dropped off in Sky Harbor Airport on 8/27/19. I filled the tank just as my brother in law did. We had the same exact vehicle, filled up at the same gas station, and drove from the exact same location. I was charged an additional $26 and he was not. When I called I was asked to produce a receipt for my gas purchase. Really---who does that. From now on I will however save my receipt and take a picture of the gas gauge on the rental vehicle. Does Hertz have proof that I didn't fill the car up- nope!! Seems like a fraudulent practice. No other rental car that I have ever used has charged me for gas at drop off.

I have rented a car from the Herz on 145 John Glenn Dr. in Concord, CA 94520 starting September 3rd to September 18. when I returned the car they said it smells like smoke and that it is dirty inside.

I did not agree but I did not want to argue with them either so I offered to take it to the car wash. Today they called me and said the manager was "gasping for air" when she checked the car.

I am a very disappointed customer. I have been a Loyal Gold Customer for 15 years and the lack of Customer service I have received is astounding. I reported a theft at one of your locations 7 days ago and no one has responded to speak to me about it.

I have requested multiple times to please speak with someone investing the case as I have great detail and supporting documents that can be helpful to the resolution of this case. We rented a 2018 Toyota SIENNA Mini Van for 1-week to go from Dallas TX. to Las Vegas, New Mexico. The service engine light came on. I called 1-800-654-5060 for Road Service after we made it to our destination. I was informed after many calls to Hertz to pay for the oil change and when we return to the rental location in Dallas that I would be refunded.

I rented a car on June 4, 2019 for a dates 7/31/2019 thru 8/06/2019. The reservation was to reserve a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a Ford Edge. The date of the rental the Manager Evan Coleman tried to give me a Rouge instead which is a smaller SUV.

I was told they did not have anything else and try to see if I could switch out the car at another Hertz nearby. I call the Hertz office in Farmington Hills, MI. I am requesting a full refund on a vehicle I rented from Thrifty Rent a Car on 6-17-19/6-20-19, for rental record #810223105. I rented the vehicle in Las Vegas and drove it to Lake Havasu, which was a 2 1/2 hour drive, the car seemed to be fine at point.

First we were given a Toyota Yaris, and the car didn't lock on the driver's side. We discovered this about 15 miles from Union Station where we'd rented it. We called Hertz, but they didn't believe us, kept insisting that we were doing it wrong.

We called "Roadside assistance" and waited 40 minutes on the line and no one ever answered. We called the Hertz at Union Station again, and they suggested we take the car to an airport and "dump it" there and ask for a new one.

We were nowhere near an airport so we returned it to Union Station. We had to demonstrate to the employee that the car didn't lock - she was still insisting that we were wrong! We were given a different car, a Ford Fiesta.

When I left the Fresno Airport Hertz counter on 06/21/19 it was a 5 star experience. 00 to return in it. A miss understanding over my request to fill up the car created this. I was told I should have caught it, it cant be refunded.

For a mistake that wouldn't cost Hertz anything but to remove an x in a box. 00. 00 it took to feel it up. Is this how Hertz makes it money? I would like to have your policy changed to allow for human error (yours) that I didn't catch.

If this isn't corrected I will do my best to share this experience in as many ways possible.

I currently rent a Nissan Rogue through the Uber program. In order to make the cost worthwhile, I need to drive a certain amount of rides per day to secure a bonus. Uber and Hertz both know this, as the incentive is clearly displayed on Uber's website.

Yesterday, I went to Pep Boys for the required, and supposedly routine, oil change at 62,000 miles for my Uber rental. What should have been an hour or two tops turned into an all-day affair in which the car needed three new tires and two new brakes in addition to full alignment and the oil change. I lost one of my days to make the bonus.

Hertz's Rockwall, Texas personnel who's handling car rentals on behalf of State Farm Insurance requires additional training on customer integrity as well as customer service. I am returning my rental to the Rockwall, TX location due to being assured by the agent (Kiki) from day 1 I would be placed in a more comparable rental even after requesting State Farm to increase my daily allowance to make up the difference in the rental rate.

20 pm. 30pm. While waiting for her to return I discovered a cockroach in the car. Then later on in the day when taking my son to practice I found one in the trunk. I called customer service and spoke with Valerie she stated to me if I had any more problems to exchange it.

Well my son was going to an AAU basketball game in San Diego. It was a 8 hour drive, in between time I purchased a water and a can energy drink. I checked in my hotel that night and woke up the next morning to take my son to the game.

In the mean time we stop at Starbucks to get him something to drink. I grabbed the bottle water and can energy drink to throw it away, and almost swallowed a cockroach that had died in the can. It ruined my stay and I was totally embarrassed.

On May 23 I rented a car in Tecerria, Azores. The car was reserved months ahead and paid for. After I filled out the paperwork at the airport office of Hertz I was told my Opel was up the street and in the parking lot.

The attendant did not go with me as he was busy, nor could he tell me exactly where the car was located nor did he know the color of the car. I did have the license plate number. I proceed with my wife with three pieces of luggage.

I picked up a rental car at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. It was one of the last cars on the lot and very late at night. I was told as I was leaving that it was missing the drivers side mirror.

The mirror itself was there, but the housing was gone. I left the airport close to midnight and drove across the state of Florida. During my drive across the state, the airbag light flashed the entire time. The car had a horrible sway to it that made it very difficult to keep on the road.

On March 16, 2019, through my company Gold membership plan, I reserved a QX80 vehicle for rental on April 7th, 12:30 AM, as my plane was due to arrive at 11:56. My plane arrive on time, but when arrive at the Hertz Gold member board, at 12:20, my name was not listed.

About 30 minutes into rental, the low tire pressure signal came on. I was in the middle of nowhere when this happened. About 20 minutes later I was able to find a gas station with air, but there was no pressure gage.

I couldn't find one in the car either. I called the hertz road side service number on the pack of my invoice and they said I was calling Puerto Rico and there was nothing they could do. I then tracked down a local Hertz guy who came out, but he could use the air at the gas station because he didn't have any quarters.

State Farm rented through Hertz for me and when I picked up the car, it was extremely dirty and had trash and mcdonalds food and drinks inside. Rep cleaned the garbage out after I complained then told me they were not allowed to wash the cars because it damages the mechanicals.

I told her I would wash it myself. She advised that I am not allowed to wash the car either. I asked for a different car and she stated that was all they had. I left hertz and 7 minutes later I was pulled over by Cherry Valley police.

I have used Hertz for as long as I have been renting cars. Now that I'm retired I do not often have the need. Flying into Charlotte NC for meetings I again rented through Hertz. I requested a car with GPS.

I was given a reservation. Upon arrival at your desk I was told if I wanted the GPS I had to up grade. I was offered a Chrysler 300. I accepted the car with $70 up grade fee. I went to the car and spent the next 20 min trying to figure out where the GPS was elevated. I asked several attendants. They had no clue.

i sent my daughter to Texas to visit her aunt over new years. her aunt could have picked her up at the airport, but told her that we have rented from Hertz all the time, and have had good clean inexpensive service in the past.

she agreed to try Hertz rent a car for this trip to try it out. We have good insurance through USAA and I told her that getting insurance for the car was not necessary. she just showed me her bill for 6 days.

I had this car for 4 days the car didnt have an up today registration on license plate expire,car was dirty when i got it . A bad knocking on driver wheel,Also no spare tire so this put me and the clients not safe.

I brought the car back and ask the guy to change the car he refuse too. so i need this taken care of before i go futher in a law suit.

I pre-paid for my car rental......When I went to pick up car I did not have the same credit card that I used to pay for the rental so they would not give me a car. They were not helpful at all. I either drive 30 min to house and 30 min back and give them that credit card or I get no car. My day is soooo messed up. I am working on a $350,000 contract and I can't get to that office because of hertz. I will never use them again And I am going to write a review about the hickory , NC office. They really don't care. They told me I should have read all the 21 conditions before I rented the car. So I am the blame for not reading all their conditions. Hertz said its all my fault......The bottom line is that ..I paid for a service that Hertz refused to give me.

My insurance paid for a rental vehicle due to an accident when I picked the vehicle up the representative Mark from the Kirkwood location said he didn't get a chance to wash the vehicle or fill it to full with gas. I didn't find this to much a problem but when I returned the vehicle my problem begun.

I returned the vehicle with a full gas tank even though Mark said just return it with what it had in it when I rented the vehicle. 04 for gas and an additional day when my insurance had extended the rental.

I was given the run around for over a month and still have not been reimbursed. I was told they had a new guy checking the vehicles in and he was not aware of the process. They said they needed to complete a form to submit to management for them to issue the refund.

We rented a car from Thrifty on November 5 at Newark airport. The agent was rude and dishonest. He charged us $54 for an extra driver, my husband. This has never happened before. We are both members of AAA but he did not want to see our cards.

com we were told to send a photo of the cards, which we did. We were told the money would be refunded. As of now, it was not and nobody had the decency to contact us although I asked for a reply.

I now intend to contact consumer complaints and the attorney general about your dishonest and rude business practices. Unless I hear from your company at once I will do so. The subject matter is 161896011.

Upon arrival, at the established time (11:30am), at the Hertz counter at Jorge Chavez airport, THERE WAS NO CAR AVAILABLE, only a manual pick up. They search for an automatic car, this went on for about one hour. They asserted that they could get me a small automatic car around 2 pm, some 2,5 hours later.

I had people waiting for me at Paramonga archeological site at as 2:30 pm. I had to rent a car at another rental company, by the time I got my car at AVIS it was 1:15 pm. Obviously I lost my scheduled meeting since it takes about…
