While shopping at Home Depot, the associate asked if I would like to upgrade my card to a pro extra account. What they didn’t tell me was, they were not upgrading my existing account, they opened up a new account.
So after purchasing thousands of dollars of supplies for a construction project, I was sending in money to the only account I knew I had, not knowing that there was another account that was not being paid. When I got a bill for the old account, I called Home Depot to move some of the credit from my pro account to pay off the consumer account.
I was told $1000 was transferred to cover that charge. So after another call from Citibank again threatening me for payment, I called Home Depot again this morning. Home Depot associates on the phone told me they were unable to see…
