com earlier in the year. We were in Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games so any alternative accommodation that might have been available last minute would have been completely out of our price range. We finally found accommodation 30 miles away.

This meant that rather than using our bus pass (we are senior citizens) and having to travel 15 minutes on the bus to the Games, we had to drive 20 miles to the nearest station to catch a train into Birmingham (which took an hour each way). It cost us around £150 for the extra fuel, hotel cost, train tickets and car parking, not to mention the extra time taken travelling to and fro.

com assumed the case was closed. com were the ones who confirmed our booking, sent us e-mails asking about our check in, etc, and therefore were the ones that should…

I've called 3 different times was put on hold the 1st time for an hour. The other 2 times it was getting to half an hour. Try to do customer service through your website, told me I have to wait 70 minutes until I can get help.

And it always kicks me out of the website. The reason why I'm contacting you guys is because I'm unable to log into my account. I know I have the correct email and password but for some reason it's not working.

itinerary 72411930414044 I had to leave the accommodation with Plaza Prague Hotel two hours after check-in due to bedbugs bites. com and hotel reception. No alternative accommodation offered. COM OR BUNDLE WITH UNITEL AIRLINES Booked a hotel through United Airlines. The hotel reservations were somehow cancelled. United did not cancel, I did not cancel, credit card did not cancel. When I called - after needed 3 steps of ID confirmation- I was switched to Expedia.

Expedia read me the beginning of an email that cancelled my reservation. It was not my email and apparently that person did not have to confirm 3 steps of ID. com is not a reputable organization. I was transferred and on hold for an hour and 9mins.

The service representatives read from a script, do not listen and have very poor english skills. com charges your credit card up front. Unaware of this until too late.

I recently booked accommodation in both South Africa and Namibia. In both cases I chose the option "pay at the hotel in the local currency". this clearly states that you will not be charged until you are there. The credit card is meant to only be used for security in the case of a no show or cancellation beyond the deadline.

In both cases the money was immediately charged to the credit card. Trying to get the so called help line to sort this out was a waste of time. They have clearly outsourced their help line to people who do not know how things are meant to work.

I even got told in one case that they had contacted the hotel and had been informed by the hotel that their policy was to take the money immediately. com not with the hotel and even sent her a screenshot of what their own…

I’ve booked numerous hotels thru this site to date however I’ve had a disastrous stay recently at the cutter bridge inn in Sutton Coldfield. I booked 2 rooms for 1 night only…!!! Thank god, due too the hotel been fully aware of the fact that the drains wasn’t sealed and thus the stench of”RAW SEWAGE” in the en-suites. I thought it was strange when I & my colleague entered our rooms, the en-suite doors was closed. Now I know why…!!! The hotel was still fully operational!!! I am moving across country and was passing through Colorado. I booked a hotel where I planned on stopping. Mother Nature had other plans and a snow storm forced me off the road. I reached out immediately to be told I couldn’t be helped. I tried to explain the situation. I have a dog with me. The customer service rep didn’t do anything to resolve it. So I was charged for the hotel that I couldn’t make it to, which was totally out of my control

This saddens me as I have been a loyal customer for multiple years.

I was told that I would be reimbursed for a stay at Econo Inn and Suites on 12/15/2022 to 12/17/2022. 28 and Econo Inn charged me $120. 96 ! com on 12/19/2022 about this and they told me they would call me back on 12/20/2022, when the manager of Econo Inn was to be available.

com was supposed to call me back, no one ever did ! 28 ! I was given a coupon for $200, but this was for my time and trouble after spending approximately 5 hrs. on the phone and 4 of those hours on hold ! 73. Thank you.

I was charged for 2 rooms at different hotels, when I booked the 1st hotel on 12-13-22 I saw another place where I usually say so I cancel my reservations and book to the other hotel now I’m looking at bank account and it said I was charge for both rooms I called hotel.com and they told me I didn’t cancel the day I made the other booking (lie) why would I book for two different rooms at two different places.., it’s only 90 bucks but still not the point

I attempted to make reservations for comfort suites in Kingsport Tn on 10/18/22. The reservation was supposed to be for that night. My mom was having an abdominal aortic aneurysm repaired the following morning. My internet was going in and out so I waited till I got to my moms house to pick her up to finish the reservation.

We drove the hour and half to Kingsport. When we arrived at the hotel I was told the reservation was made for 11/18/22 instead of 10/18/22 and they had no room available. com to get a room. I called to have the reservation canceled and was told I could not get a refund.

This was a terrible experience.

First, we arrived at the location and then discovered that our reservations was only for a single room in an apartment. com advertisement for a "Superior Double Room, 1 Queen Bed, Private Bathroom, Sea View", we assumed that we were reserving a proper hotel room.

Rather, it was a single room with two single beds in an apartment with a shared bathroom, set up for college-age kids. We are a couple in our 60s and would never rent a shared apartment.

Second, the woman in charge claimed that she did not have a record of our reservation and said that we did not check in online. In fact, we had made reservations weeks ago and checked in online the night before after receiving the automated message.

com that I needed to use my earned reward night worth £96 (or just book a stay) before the end of the year as it will expire if I did not. Since I am currently unemployed due to my workplace having to close down recently, I could not afford to book a stay but figured a technically free stay somewhere would be ideal, so

I chose somewhere to use my free rewards night and applied it on checkout, only for the website to encounter a connection error stating that the booking may not have gone through. So upon checking, I discover that I had been charged the entire fee of £131 AND my reward night had disappeared from my account.

So I am in the middle of a home disaster, insurance is covering my hotels until my home is fixed. com at a hotel in my neighborhood. I accidently booked the wrong dates. com said it was the hotel policy that I couldn't change my booking.

After explaining my situation, they said they checked with the hotel and it still couldn't be done. com NEVER called them and they could change my booking. My hotel said they wouldn't charge me. After I gave the guy this info, he changed his tune.

It didn't stop him from talking to the person next to him the whole time we were on phone as well as charging my credit card twice. I am close to going up a level in membership but doubt I want to.

I am starting to hate this company.

We were travelling on road through France and booked a hotel using mobile app. I realise hotels.com is sponsored and that is a parameter for hierarchy of recommendations. We ended up booking a hotel 100km away from requested town. Cancelled promptly but still had to pay overnight charge.

As we complete a number of car journeys and using small screen will really have to reconsider ongoing use of hotels.com as a helpful website. Google seems more efficient on locations!

I was looking at booking a hotel in Birmingham for this weekend ( 22nd Oct 2022 ) for one night. I went through the booking process as normal selecting the room, date and paid an extra £20 for a breakfast the following morning.

When I received my confirmation email it stated the dates of 5th- 6th Nov!! I called the hotel and told them there had been an error on the dates and could it be amended? com ) that I'd need to take it up with them.

I started a live chat which was automated then got put onto an agent. Bare in mind I'd only just done the booking so not hours before!! She advised me that the booking I made was non refundable on cancellation or amendment but she'd have to check with the hotel to see if they had any vacancies for the date I required. 29 pounds. 29 pounds.

I actually want to give a 0 rating. com and NEVER will again. I booked Towne Place Suites by Marriott Scranton for Family Weekend. Two days before received an email confirming my stay. Day of check in, I called hotel a bit early to see if we could check in. com overbooked their hotel. com.

When speaking to your customer service representatives, I could barely hear them, let alone understand them which is EXTREMELY frustrating especially when my reservation was canceled. The first representative I spoke to said there was nothing she could do. After refusing that resolution she put me in touch with yet another rep who had such a heavy accent.

She tried to get me a room but of course nothing was available parent weekend at that point. BTW I booked a 2 bedroom suite that I could bring my dog…

re confirmation number 9160383764246 We live in Toronto. com on June 27, 2022 for a three night stay in Chelsea, Michigan to take my elderly mother to visit my brother who lives in Chelsea. 20. On August 23rd, my husband and I tested positive for COVID-19 and so we were ill and not able to travel over the border or attend at the hotel. com for a refund.

com has sent me various emails saying they have tried to get in touch with the hotel and the hotel is not complying with them, or they can't get in contact with the hotel for some unknown reason. 20 is a lot of money for me.

com in Marina Village Inn, Alameda CA 94501. I decided to extend 2 more nights as the heat persisted so I called the front desk of the hotel. The woman at the front desk -she says her name is Ryder- told me I had to leave the room and check into another one because she " had that same room booked for another person" .

I agreed but when I called back the night after to ask what time I should change rooms, the same man that checked me in said I didn't have to change rooms. The morning after I called the front desk and the same woman told me I had to change rooms.

This is concerning booking 72380180395016. I have been trying since last Friday to speak to a supervisor. The text from your company said they would get back to me that evening. I tried again on Saturday. When I contacted your company again on Monday I was I was told they would call me.

FALSE ADVERTISING CASE to follow!

I made a reservation through www.hotels.com and filtered for the "Reserve Now, Pay Later" option. I made a reservation with FRONTDESK Hibernia Tower Apts in New Orleans for dates towards the end of October (2 months before check-in). Two days later, my bank shows the attempt for the funds to be withdrawn from bank account. I called the hotel and they tell me that they have a policy that payment needs to be made at the time of the booking. I explained that that's not what Hotels.com website says. The hotel agent apologized but told me that they would have to cancel my reservation.

5 hours and not able to find a parking space we dragged all our luggage inside the Scholar to be told we had been moved again to the Scott. The Scott was close but it was an inconvenience, we arrived to find our room extremely basic and looking like it needed a new carpet and an uplift.

Again no where to park as there were 3 electric parking bays, 2 disabled and 2 normal which were being used , We had to park in staff parking a good 5 minute walk away, with rain literally pouring down on us and our luggage! We paid over 300 pound for 2 nights and felt rather disappointed.

The whole experience put a downer on the start of a break that we had saved hard for. The pictures of the room we originally booked looked so lovely and we feel we didn't get what we paid for unfortunately.

However the daytime desk clerk was extremely rude. She insisted that my debit card was not working.

However it works in all other businesses. She was adamant that it was my card that was defective.

However the facts prove otherwise. She was not justified in her rudeness.

I stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Norfolk, VA, from Friday, Aug. 12 until Sunday, Aug. 14. I stayed in room 503. When we checked in, we were informed we were booked for the fifth floor, and the elevator was out of service.

I recently booked two rooms for two nights for a friend and myself to stay at the Royal Leonardo Hotel in Mannheim. I have stayed before in both Mannheim and Heidelberg Leonardo hotels and like the brand. Tonight, however, when my friend turned up only one room had been booked and it took around two hours for the hotel receptionist to find a second room for my friend. com stated "guaranteed reservation".

I want to ask why the reservation for two rooms was not sent to the Royal Leonardo Hotel.

Also, why I was told by the receptionist that I needed to book a room at another hotel in the city. This would be very expensive at the last minute. There were other problems such as the phone in my room not having a lead and when I asked for one, I was told that there are no longer working phones…

Hello. Doubt this will illicit a response. com extensively and usually with good results. But my 2 recent experiences were beyond acceptable. I booked a 2 bedroom 2 queen bed with a pull out sofa with Travel Lodge in Moncton New Brunswick.

Upon arrival it was a 1 bedroom with adjoining tv room/sofa I need 2 separate bedroom. The hotel tried to explain that it was 2 bedroom which was not the description. A room with a sofa is not a bedroom.

There were no other rooms available so I had to book quickly another room at another hotel. com to cancel the other room only to be put on hold and then a message came on saying there was a system problem and i would have to call back later. Tried several more times…

I made a booking and forgot click (Refundable) button. Found mistake right away as reservation was made./ Called virtual chat and Carlos was no help. It was less than 1-2 minutes before I found my mistake. I want to pay more and change the same reservation as Refundable. But NO HELP!! I have to pass the word not to use hotels.com to book hotels. Most site allows to cancel if made mistake. This is very unfair as non-refundable is always default so if someopne click the reservation - it cannot be changed.
