Booked hotel through hotwire on May 13. Called 18 and 22 of May to verify all good as hotel not showing paid by hotwire. Was told on both days reservation good and hotel paid. Got to hotel and hotwire had not paid hotel.
We had to pay out of pocket to stay in the hotel. Trip was June 6th 2023. Hotwire charged bank account September 1st and took funds from our account. I booked Hotwire and confirmed 2x hotel was ready and good to go. It was not.
Hotwire failed to pay the hotel by our arrival date. We had to use our personal account to pay for the room. I fail to see how Hotwire can charge the full amount, and take it out of our account, 3 months after the trip when Hotwire failed to pay and secure the reservation as promised and told 2x everything was already paid and good to go.
