I have contacted Hotwire agents 4 times regarding the itinerary #72103408299634 case #S101519656 and #103326177 concerning a request for my refund for the unused portion of my ticket which was cancelled by Qatar Airways. Each of the 4 times I spoke with a Hotwire agent I was assured that Qatar would be contacted and the refund would be forthcoming, but NOTHING has been accomplished on your end. I have been on hold for 30 40 min up to 2 hrs waiting to talk with these reps of yours only to be disconnected on 2 occasions after talking with them for 20 or 30 mins. with NO RETURN CALL. Hotwire owes me money for the unused portion of this ticket and I demand that you secure that refund from Qatar.

I also contacted Qatar who assured me (email attached below) that they have reached out to Hotwire…

I had a flight reservation, Itinerary # 72190239115213. I cancelled this reservation and was given a credit due to the flights being non refundable. Since then I have tried to book a flight using these credits. I have talked to probable 15 people and have been on the phone at least 5 or 6 hours total and still have gotten this situation resolved.

This is really ridiculous that it takes this much time and effort to get a simple flight reservation booked. I will never use HOTWIRE again.

I had the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. I made a reservation for car rental thru Hotwire, they selected Dollar Rent a Car. I arrived at Dollar’s Houston Hobby Airport counter on Friday at 7 pm (within 1 hour of the reservation), there was a sign instructing to go straight to the shuttle, I waited for the shuttle for more than half an hour while seeing shuttles from every other rental company pass in front of me.

Hotwire Itinerary - 4079481438 I've rented a car at Economy Rent a Car from October 25th to October 27 in Mississauga, ON, Canada, and upon returning the vehicle, the rental company claimed that there was a damage to the front bumper which was not there when they gave me a car. I have to dipute this as I did not do any damage to the bumper during my rental and neither anyone else could ave caused this damage during this time as the damage is located underneath the bumper as someone was driving over the curb.

I have not used the car like that and I did not drive it over the curb. I explained this to the company's staff, however, they demanded that I pay them $500 IMMEDIATELY even though I have purchased a liability insurance that covers all such damages.

Was driving for the first vacation in 2 years due to going through cancer treatment. Decided that making the whole drive in one day would be too much so I booked a room through Hotwire for a halfway point. 5 star hotel so I wasn't expecting much - just needed a clean bed to sleep in for the night and a shower.

Purchased the "Trip Insurance" to be safe. After driving for 12 hours my wife and I get to the hotel at 10PM and are told that they don't have a room for us. According to them Hotwire over booked the hotel by 8 rooms.

ABSOLUTELY FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! I received an offer for a "HOT DEAL". The way these work is by showing you a picture of a bedroom, and 3 possible hotels the it could be. You are guaranteed to receive one of these similar hotels, but it is a surprise. NO REFUNDS.

After a bit of research I decided to agree. I looked up each of the the 3 hotels websites separate. I looked up the review and every photo I could find on their site and on Yelp. A good thing to help guess which one it could be.

I compared the image they showed of the room "in the Hotel" to each hotels carpet, drapes, pillow covers, lamps, wallpaper, bedding etc. In a couple comparisons that I did, I was able to guess the hotel and compare if it is a good price.

The motel refused to honor my reservation because they would not allow me to pay the resort fee with my credit card. Since I did not have cash, I was not allowed to check into my room. While the resort fee was mentioned in the listing, there was no mention of the cash requirement. I demand a refund for the unfulfilled reservation which I paid for online. These guys are scam artists. There was a glitch in my reservation. i emailed + called. Was told don't worry just pick up your car later. My flight arrived at 9p. it closed 5 hours earlier. Hotwire never told me.

All my complaints fell on deaf ears.

Greetings, I am writing about my rental car reservation. I was told that I could not change or cancel this reservation. That was not clear when I booked the reservation though I now see it in the fine print in the email confirming the reservation. I even talked to the rental car company which said they would be happy to cancel my reservation but couldnt since it was booked through Hotwire.

I twice talked to your useless, overseas customer service people who just read the company policy but offered me no other help. I booked a rental car through Hotwire back in April during the down turn of COVID. I booked a hot rate because things were opening up and my company was reimbursing me for my car and they wanted me to get the best rate.

Recently my trip was cancelled due to the resurgence of COVID. My non refundable plane ticket was refunded, my non refundable hotel was refunded. Hotwire customer service has been atrocious. They are the only company that won’t work with me on a refund.

They are taking advantage of people during the pandemic. I have been on the phone with nothing but rude and patronizing agents who refuse to help. I was told with one supervisor “too bad”. So disappointed.

Hotel confirmation 6377083521. August 13-15. 2 Rooms. Nightmare begins at check-in. Assigned to rooms 211 and 704. On phone with Hotwire since check in as hotel can do nothing because of Hotwire booking. Room 211 front door nor sliding door would work, bed was full of sand and bugs.

When toilet flushed, fecies overflowed onto the floor. Room was dirty. Room 704 sliding door did not work, stains on bed sheets, mold all over ceiling. There was no cold water at all, only scalding hot water. Complete nightmare. I need my full refund after spending my entire time on the phone, I had to check out on Saturday August 14th.

I booked a car rental through Hotwire and paid it in full at time of booking. When I arrived at he car rental location, Nu Car rental in Miami, they would not let me take the car without purchasing their insurance, even though I have my own insurance and I'm fully covered for Collision and Liability. I am a frequent traveler and have booked many car rental reservations in the past and NEVER have I been told that my insurance is not acceptable. I have always been able to decline the car rentals insurance and use my own. In order to leave with the rental car I was going to have to pay an additional $40/50 dollars a day to take the car. That means my TOTAL COST of the rental would have been over $600 dollars.

there is no way this is three stars. its barely two stars Second floor the hotel has no elevator ice machine on first floor only no chair at desk, i had to go get one and carry it up the stairs no hand towels or wash cloths no answers when you. call front dest, nasty stains on the outside of the window

This company engages in false advertisement and unethical practices. They mislead in the booking information and then refuse to give a refund when the hotel booked is disgusting, filthy, and unsafe. They lied and said that I stayed at the hotel for more than two hours, when in fact I left within five minutes.

They steal money and show zero concern for their costumers. It is a fancy way to steal your hard earned money!! Stay for away from Hotwire!! The hotel I booked had visible dirt and grime everywhere! The 'white' tub was gray all over the bottom from dirt and grime.

The door was dented, not secure, and only one of two locks that worked. The sidewalk repair was uneven and a trip hazard. This hotel was in a scary neighborhood and was extremely unsafe! Hotwire refused to give me a refund…

I made a car rental reservation that could not be fulfilled due to my flight arriving after 8pm. I contacted the rental agency directly as suggested by the phone rep and cancelled the reservation. I then made a second reservation for a rental car.

I was then informed that I would have to pay for both reservations now because they are "Hot Rates" even though I only made the second reservation based on the misleading information and incomplete information from the Hotwire rep.

My reservation # is 72114716888839 I booked my reservation for my fiancé and I from 07/25/2021 through 07/29/2021 coming from Atlanta Georgia. I also bought the protection plan. Upon checking in the resort advised our reservation is for one night.

I was charged by both Hotwire and Thrifty for a car rental in September. I've spent hours on the phone with each company trying to get a refund and neither will help me. HORRIBLE customer service. I expected a response to my last ticket opened in April within 72 hours, per the Hotwire rep.

I wish I could give this company a zero! They completely lie every single time we speak with them. Our room was cancelled by the merchant and the motel stated they refunded the room back to the card. Now Hotwire is refusing to refund us our money!

We ended up using hotwire that night again because of all the roaches and bedbugs in previous room. We never thought in a million years that Hotwire would steal our money. Even Motel 6 is staring they refunded back our money. Please beware!

I booked a hotel for Friday June 11th on your website and it gave me the Holiday Inn in Irving, TX. Pictures didn't look too bad. We get to the hotel to check in and when we walk in the room had a weird musty smell.

We were pleasantly surprised at how big and spacious the room was so we just overlooked the smell and sprayed some body spray. Walked into the bathroom and noticed a few dead bugs in the corners in the bathroom. Again we thought nothing of this.

Second time walking into the bathroom there were about 5 LIVE Centipedes crawling in the bathroom floor. It was late so we stepped on them and went on to bed. Around 4 am I get up to use the restroom and there were around 10 LIVE Centipedes crawling around.

On 4/29/21, I Rented a car through Hotwire with Economy Rent a Car in Honolulu for May 1st to 7th. Received a conformation number of PHTWS0F9FDE5. 24. 78. Being in an unknown area away from the airport and not knowing if I can get a car where there is a high demand, I paid the additional cost.

I believe Hotwire and Economy Rent a Can ( also goes by the name of A-1 Rent A Car) are unethical for not honoring the prepaid cost.

Hotwire finds a way to rip you off and them makes sure you cannot get a refund regardless the circumstances and even if it is their fault. Even the companies they partner with to give you the RIP off deals are unhappy with them.

They receive complaints several times a day! Why are they allowed to continue to stay in business with their unfair business practices? Stay away from using Hotwire unless you chose to throw away your hard earned money! I ordered a rental car and specifically requested a 10:30 PM pick up time.

The business they chose closed at 7:00 pm. We were left stranded! No rental cars available! Refused to refund our money and refused to make it right.

” I was attempting some sort of credit because I was mislead, Hotwire did not tell me parking would be additional for my hotel booking, they did tell me there would be an additional resort fee for $24, but without knowing the hot ratehotel, I could not ask the hotel in advance if it included parking.

So I have to pay $60 and $24 per NIGHT because Hotwire failed to offer me more information. When i explained this on the phone today, the agent hung UP on me! Extremely uncalled for.

Charged $20 on visa. Email support emails you a new email support address, then that one tells you they no longer fo email support. Messaging support is only for hotels and cars. 3 phone numbers I tried and was on hold for one and a half hour for each, with no answer.

I will never use this company again.

Was told that I would be on hold for 2 hours and 24 minutes up to 3 hours and 6 minutes. Or i could get a call back within the same time frame. I decided to hold thinking they may actually answer before the 2 hours. Well to my surprise.

1 hour 52 minutes and 43 seconds in guess what happens? they HUNG UP!! I am just trying to use my credit and get someone on the line so i can do that and to no avail. This is such bad business.

I call back and the hold time is 20 minutes or greater.

I have a future car rental reservation. Right away, I tried to cancel it once I found out the car rental agency isn't disinfectanting cars due to COVID. The car rental agency however agreed to cancel my reservation. They sent me an email of the cancellation and its cancelled on the car agengys website.

Hotwire refuses to issue a refund or a credit even though no service was rendered. They claim the rental agency cannot cancel a reservation and it's against the car agencys policy even though the agency did cancel it. I even showed proof.

Hotwire said even though the cancellation no longer exists they will still charge me.

I booked a rental car through Hotwire at Tampa Airport on July 18 and returned on July 24. I canceled my trip to Tampa. It is not by choice that I cancel the car rental. I'm not spending money to travel where there is nothing to do once I get there.

Disney among other local activities were planned. 89 that was already charged to my credit card when I reserved the car. Please contact me regarding this and let me know how I receive my refund. I have already contacted local television stations regarding my complaints.

I wanted to cancel my flight tickets due to Covid-19 but got lots of frustration because Hotwire was very bad at customer service. The official airline website had the information about waiving cancellation fee for customers, but Hotwire kept saying they didn’t hear anything from the airline and refused to provide waiving fee.

I called them 7 times but no help. I ended up cancel my flights with CAD$600 cancellation fee. But still, I haven’t got my money refund back, only 1/3 of my money returned to my credit card. I called and asked them to send me a confirmation email with the amount of money I will get back to have evidence of our conversation but they said they don’t do email which is unreasonable.

I lost my entire day trying to add my 9 months old daughter to my flights (on lap). I called Hotwire and they told me I had to contact the airline company in order for my daughter to have a ticket so that's what I did.

The airline company told me that they were not able to do it since I booked with hotwire and they had to add her so I contacted hotwire again. Once more they told me they couldn't do anything and that I had to contact the airline company which I did again.

The airline company had to give me a specific number of a department which hotwire had to call. They told me that they were really sorry because it was not my responsability to give the number to hotwire. Rented a car from Ace in Ontario Ca on Jaanuary 14 2020. Here is a summary of what was wrong with Ace;

1) rental facility was not with other rentals companies but in a hotel several miles away 2) There were 1 1/2 clerks working midday. I was 8th in a line of 9. Took two hours to be waited on 3) I reserved a compact Kia, but was given a huge Ford Expedition with 60,000 miles. $150 deposit even though they had already pre-billed my card. 4) Took another hour to actually get my car--they had run out of cars! 5) I had an early flight but they had no way to drop off keys before they opened--nothing like a drop box.

Why does Hotwire list them with other reliable rental companies?

I recently was reviewing my banking and noticed a $301 charge to my account From Hotwire. I didn’t make. My bank said it was too long ago for them to help. I contacted Hotwire and they kept telling me to call a number a message.

I did several times and they never contacted me. This website has no protection. Be careful because of they somehow take your funds Without your convent they will not refund no matter what. I would never use this site for any of my travel needs!!

I booked Embassy Suites Montreal in Montreal, Canada via Howrire on May 19th. The Hotwire confirmation number is 5835466297. The payment was made and withdrawn from my bank account. However, when checking in the hotel, I found that the reservation was cancelled without no reason. Still, they got a total amount of $821.28 from my account, I had to lodge in another hotel. At that most, most of the hotels nearby were full. So I had no choice but to stay in a room with an extra price. But the hotel and Hotwire insisted that I did not show up. I need a help about it.
