I wish I didn't have to even give a star. This place said it was being remodeled. What a joke. My grandsons room had black mold in the shower and roaches everywhere. The wallpaper is held up with clear packaging tape.

There are no phones in the rooms, the tv's did not work, no coffee makers. The fridge in my grandsons room didn't work either, no blankets on the beds . The gym was a joke. The pool looked like it was jelly instead of water.

So of course you couldn't us it either. BUT THE BIGGEST MOST DISGUSTING THING WAS THE BLOODY MAXI PAD THAT WAS BETWEEN THE MATTERESS AND THE WALL WHERE MY HEAD WAS. the trash was over flowing. The place looks like it has homeless people living there.

The extra chain for the doors were either broke or missing, so you couldn't secure your door properly.

Room smelled very bad. Curtains were stained and dry rotted. Felt like a time capsule in 1979. I left at 6 am feeling ill. I would feel better if I got a refund. I am disabled and homeless and have been living at the Hampton inn for a month.

It is more expensive but health is more important.

Booked a room through agoda for July 4-5 to enjoy the festivies in pigeon forge Tennessee. When we arrived at the hotel check in was suppose to be at 3pm, the lady advises me our room wasn't ready yet ot would be 4 or after before we could use our room to change an freshen up. 5 hrs.

I don't say anything I know it's the 4th everything was booked it was hard to find or get a room during this time.

Finally get the room key an upon walking to our room I notice trash everywhere, napkins, used Q tips,sugar packets an straws, cigarette butts, pop cans. We open the door the mold an musk smell is horrible. I go to make us a cup of coffee an what ya know they was a coffee packet in it that was used from previous occupants.

Guess housekeepers never bothered to throw that away or clean it out.…

I stayed at a Howard Johnson in Salem, Oregon located at 2250 Mission St SE. And I believe someone working at this location ransacked all of my luggages when I was away from the hotel they damaged my property and devalued gifts I had in my bags at the time I stayed at this hotel.

They damaged my luggage and the workers at this hotel treated me poorly including the manager. My employer uses Howard Johnson’s a lot to help temporarily house homeless people and after what happened to me I am going to tell my employer to use a different hotel chain because your hotel does not deserve to be used in the future after what these people did to me.

I will never stay at another Howard Johnson in my life after the way I was treated. I contacted the police department in Salem, OR and I plan to file…

I called two weeks before trip to request first floor due to my husband’s use of walker and cane. I called a week before our trip to verify. Each time I was assured first floor was available. The voices of both men I spoke to sounded mature and knowledgeable.

On the 13 of July, we arrive at the motel. There was no physical customer service person. Instead I went to a machine that looked like an ATM machine and a young man appeared on the screen. He proceeds to check us in and I notice it is 2nd floor.

I repeated that this was not acceptable and he basically dismissed me with “ there was anything he could do” because they were full. He was very rude and not helpful at all. He ignored my question about an elevator.

I decided to go look for an elevator and found there was none! Only wooden…

com when I arrived there were cars on blocks, men out in groups drinking and the pool was green. I am a mom traveling with my child and in a newer car. , nor did feel my vehicle would be safe.

We booked our room until July 11th here in Las Vegas and pre paid for it. Without my concent the hotel clerk double booked our room using my name when it was booked under Krista Munn. They charged my credit card without my siganture for $243 USD and being we live in Canada, it took off the converted $387 which is fraud and lucky we caught it before they took rhe next 2 nights off my credit card. I need the money back faster than the 3 days it will take to cancel the charge to my credit card and my credit card can't cancel the pending charge until it goes through. I need the money back now to drive home and being it was not signed for to charge my card, I will be filing a complaint about the manager of the motel.

Besides that the motel is dirty, we can't get a maid to come clean or vaccum…

Checked in yesterday.

First off the is over 200 dollars. Found broken toilet seat and nasty shower and dripping water from faucet in tub. Went to ask if they could at least fix toilet seat. Was told someone would be down. I am handicap and I almost fell off unsecured toilet seat. No body came.

Met girl from desk coming out of bar and asked again. She told me sorry maybe tomorrow and just be careful. If I wasn't paying over 200 dollars maybe tomorrow might of been okay. I don't check out until tomorrow but this is not acceptable.

This place is aweful. It is misrepresented on line and you should remove the pretty fake pictures on line. The bathroom smells really bad, the beds are so uncomfortable, the pool is ugly nightmare. I am not able to sleep and sitting up because I am so unhappy. not another free night.

The Newberg Location is a complete disgrace. I stayed over the weekend of 5/20 for my niece's graduation. We had rooms 227 and 229, and in all of my years of traveling to all different states/places/ and populations, this has been the worst experience ever!

and that goes international as well. The location is disgusting, and dirty everywhere, even the Housekeeping carts are falling apart and being held together by duct tape! The bathrooms had mold all over the tiles, and the tub was stained and dirty.

My niece's rooms bathroom shower didn't even work. They had to use ours, now can you imagine all of us having to share a shower when we paid for 2 rooms? Let's not even get into the pricing as this weekend was surely overpriced.

I booked a room for the same day, 2 hours later I called back to cancel, they refused to do so. I was also told my card will not be charged to we check in, check in time was 4pm.

I was a guest at your location in Greensboro, NC. On Veasley St. When I called for a rate , I was told 55 dollars a night while I was on the way there. My flight was delayed so I usually stay at one of your locations if available.

However when I arrived it had changed to 80 dollars a night and was asked to pay cash . I thought that was odd. I told them I took a uber here and had no cash. They finally accepted my debit card.

The room I was given was dirty and when I called to complain, nobody picked up the phone and somehow a party started in the parking lot as soon as the sun went down. I was a guest for April 10th to 19th and every night I called to complain.

In December 2022 we secured a LONG TERM room (3 month rental) for our son who will be going to Fleming College in Lindsay ON, CANADA in April 2023. Our security deposit and registration fee was sent in (total $600.00cd) and payment was received.

First go to the lobby for breakfast around 715am and the doors are locked. An employee (housekeeper) was standing outside waiting to get in as well. Go back around 915 to eat. They had some bread for toast and waffles.

No butter and what they did have was a stick of butter sitting in a plate. The juice did not taste good. Leave for the day come back and no housekeeping was done. Go to the office and I am told they don't do stay overs (even though clearly it states daily housekeeping).

Then I am told that if I would like clean towels I would need to bring my dirty towels to them and exchange them for clean ones. I am on a family vacation and shouldn't have to deal with this type of stuff.

If I could give -stars to the Howard Johnson in Billings, MT I would do so. Had reservations for March 3, 2023. When the students and staff arrived too check-in, we were told they sold our rooms to the highest bidder, and we were just out of luck. Leaving us to look for a different place to stay or sleep on the bus. I really do not understand how a hotel can be so rude. When asking for the manager she just said she was too busy with the police to be bother with stupid people such as us and said to just deal with it all and get over it. My 86 year old disabled parents used your Portland Airport Hotel to park and to stay on their return trip to Hawaii. When they landed they were told the shuttle was not running. They were also told they needed to call their own Uber ride.

When they finally got to the hotel, the person behind the desk could not find a reservation. She then sent them to a room that already had another customer in it. Very frustrated, my folks drove home to Corvallis after midnight.

They were overcharged for the parking and a night they did not stay. The manager has been non-responsive to satisfy overcharged. Can somebody help us, please!

possibly BUD BUGS!!! There is a reason this is a cheap hotel. The rooms are filthy, I am not a neat freak but I do expect clean floors, not to smell rancid cigarettes in a non-smoking room, clean bedding (yes, the bedding had hair all over the sheets) and freaking hot water.

If i wasn't so tired the night I stayed there, I would have demanded my money back that night. I opted to sleep in my clothes and jacket on top of the covers. In addition to the list I indicated above.

I saw evidence of BED BUGS on the mattress. I decided to look at the mattress just before I left the next morning since the room was so filthy. I told the clerk at the desk about it, he was rude and refused to acknowledge it.

We had the most horrible experience today at the Howard Johnson's restaurant on Okechobee Blvd. and Jog Road in Florida.

First we had to wait 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our order. ) We ordered eggs, toast and bacon and a combo platter. We asked for an orange juice and a glass of water. We had only one set of silverware on the table.

We waited 10 more minutes and still did not have juice and water. Finally they came. We asked for a set of silverware. We did not get it. After awhile the eggs and bacon were brought to the table without the toast. Still no silverware.

Broken refrigerator ruined my Christmas candy and lumpia, the bathroom had rotted trim and the walls in shower was black, but above all else, there was No Hot Water. The front desk told me to run it for 15-20 minutes. Wow.

Did a extended stay & paid a deposit of $500 . After almost a month of calling to ask the whereabouts of the deposit ? ( Had a check out date on Dec 16 & the front office was unable to do a walk out ;( ) Was told was not getting it returned.

And the poor girl working front desk in the morning should not be working, im a nurse and could tell right off the bat she has covid, her eyes are all swollen, she was coughing up a lung, sneezing and her nose was stuffy, she lost her voice.

Its very dangerous to have an employee with covid working front desk not only explosing all the workers to it but also guest, kids and elderly stay here

Had tried earlier in the day to book online with the Howard Johnson at 8216 Harbor side Galveston Texas. It kept saying that we couldn't complete our booking after several attempts at 7:15pm we just booked with another hotel(Wood springs of Texas city tx) at 9:00pm we got notification from our debit card that the Howard Johnson had taken money from our account for a room .

Customer Service and some staff are the worst at the location at 5905 Victoria St in Niagara Falls.

The GM likes to talk down to you and insult you in a sutle manner. The manager that was on November 24th, 2022 around 10 pm is ignorant and does not like to listen to customer concerns.

The rooms are dated. Cracks everywhere, shower barely gets hot. Weed smell on the entire floor and when you tell the GM, he says he cannot do anything about it. Our entire weekend that is all we smelled. The GM says that the room is not cleaned for the first 2 days, but is on the 3rd. When we called and informed them that we did not want them to come to clean the 3rd night, he told me that they don't clean it; we have to ask for it to be cleaned. He tells you different stories.

I stayed at the Howard Johnson's in Wheat Ridge CO 5 years ago and now have an unbelievable charge on my bank statement from them. They fraudulently made up room charges after I had checked out and charged up my credit card card for 450.

I disagreed, tried to fight the charges back then but nobody would listen to me. I was in the process of moving and though I fought for weeks over this charge I had to move on. They had many many complaints of them doing this to other customers and were finally shut down.

I am totally disappointed with your hotel company by stating you would not help me and now 5 years later the bank (which I closed the acct) has a 2500 charge off against me due to this! I'm older and disabled and now can't even get my medication to see/live due to your hotel totally…

I would like to speak to someone in the corporate office regarding my stay at the Howard Johnson on Tropicana in Las Vegas. We checked in on 09/29/2022 to Room #1048 and when going in the room the bathroom was disgusting with dirt all in the bath tub and dirty footprints on the toilet.

I went to the front desk and the clerk moved us to another room, Room #1209 and when we got in there, there was zero toilet paper and no shower curtain, so I went downstairs and spoke with the manager Bernard and he said he was going to comp the room for one night.

So we leave and go out, we come back to the room to take a shower and notice there is blood on the the toilet, bathtub and door ( I will attach photos). I go back down to the office and the manager has already left for the day, the clerks tell…

My husband and I made reservations at HJ by Wyndham at 512 Atlantic Ave Virginia Beach,VA. When we arrived no one was at desk there was a note on door stating “helping someone”. I called the number listed and it took several minutes for the person to arrive.

Once checked in the door to the room was extremely hard to open ( EXTREMELY HARD).. Once we go into the room it wasn’t the cleanest but we were exhausted from traveling from Massachusetts. The place was disgusting. I tried AGAIN to call front desk (several several times ) NO answer.

I walked back to the office and AGAIN a note was attached stating the same thing as before. She finally comes out from a room with a man. They checked the room and thought it was fine EXCEPT for the door.

I was charged for a full stay at your Howard Johnson Hershey Pa location when I did not stay one night at the hotel. The manager is by far the rudest person I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. com.

I was told that I would not have full cleaning service of the room. I asked if the room would be discounted due to the limited service. com as if that were an issue. I asked if there would be a discount due to the limited service.

He told me I could cancel and pay for the night and stay elsewhere. I explained that didn't make any sense. I asked if we could come to some agreement and he was adamant that I could cancel and pay for the night.

Had a reservation for 2 days. Informed hotel we would arrive after 2am. My original charge was supposed to be $580. We stayed from 8/29-8/30 and were charged $925!!! Was never told there was a price change, was actually reassured that the price would stay the same.

They took advantage of tourists

Stayed at Howard Johnson 3740 portage rd winnipeg Manitoba onAug 07 . Filthy no elevator just an all round terrible hotel. Toilet is so small and low I think It was designed for little people not those of average height.

I could go on and on but I hope you know how upset we were. I sent a note to your corporate headquarters and never received any response Very poor way to run a business. Howard Johnson used to have a good name What happened.

Place was absolutely Disgusting had to ask for our money back and find something else ! So poorly maintained!!! The steps are even all rusty ! Not even painted ! Rooms well absolutely unacceptable!!! plate cover missing over the receptacle blood right by it !!

Work with a company that pays for the crew members rooms and we stay every week,911 river view rock hill,sc I left a bag in the room when checking out and vehicles we drive have tonneau covers so it hasn’t been lost , camera shines on our hotel rooms door , and I just get blew off when contacting front desk like there is np accountability with the equipment and

personals we carry to the hotel daily sure isn’t a good look for feeling secure with property.. all the surveillance cameras I’d love to see how many bags I carried in and how many I left with , so I guess if we leave a bag it’s just forfeited..

not to mention how do we know a room wasn’t broken into considering it was left that the hotel.. another crew member is missing AirPods after housekeeping wntered the room the previous…
