I have a brand new Maytag Washer Model MVW4505MW0 S/N CC24 06030 purchased July 2023. I used it twice and the lid locked and I could not clear it. This occurred during a cycle so water was still in machine.

I called Maytag and reported it. The serviceman came several days later and cleared the lock but the machine will not run. He ordered a door lock and a control board. That was last week. I heard nothing from him or service dept.

as to when parts would arrive. I called and was told they had to research the part availability and it would be several days before I would receive information. This machine was only used once before this. I am very disappointed in Maytag.

My washer is less than 2 1/2 years old the lid has broken the hinges break through the plastic. There’s many complaints online about it. I called Maytag and I was told that they had no record of any complaints which is like a lie I will never buy another Maytag product of any kind they don’t care about their customers.

This is the second time in less than year old washer that we had to have it serviced.

First tike some electrical part broke on the back of the washer. This time they say it needs a motor and capacitor, it is not even a year old. I asked for it to be replaced and they tell me my issue does not qualify for that; well what the hell does then.

Going on 3 weeks now wasting for them to return with motor and capacitor, have not heard a thing. We have been without our washer for a month now. I thought Maytags were good products, wish I had bought a Speed Queen.

Anyone reading this review do not buy Maytag and buy a Speed Queen. You may have to pay a little more, but they are built better and have a 5 year warranty.

I have had my Maytag washer for about 9 months. We bought it from Lowes. It's now not working. Won't lock down lights flashing. I've tried to troubleshoot with no luck and next appointment available is 7 days from now.

Dryer was broke after 3 months and it took repair shop 2 months to get the right part and finally fix. This is bullcrap.

We purchased a Maytag washing machine less than three years ago. Have used the washer on a regular basis but no excessive use, heavy washing, etc. Upon using the “Affresh Cleaning Cycle” which is a setting on the machine, my machine went crazy. It started making clunking noises and then would not rinse or spin.

1 year warranty has passed and the “10 year warranty” sticker they proudly stamp on their machines only covers 3 specific parts?!? Apparently the gear case that makes the motor run isn’t considered to be part of the motor. So…here I sit with a washer less than 3 years old that is going to cost more to fix than purchasing a new one. Less than 3 years old…I’m in disbelief. Will not buy another Maytag product.

I purchased a Maytag washer Model MVWC465HW a year ago from Lowes. I chose Maytag because of its excellent product reputation in the past. This particular washer has the sensor filling, thus uses only the amount of water needed for the load (supposedly)!

Every time I wash a load of laundry I get very angry! When the cycle begins agitating it sounds as though it is grinding rocks! Very loud. I looked inside when it was in the middle of the wash cycle and the clothes were not even submerged in water. I turned ?the water level to "deep water wash" and the clothes were still not submerged. How can they be washed properly if they're not even covered with water? When the cycle is complete the clothes are so tangle it takes a while to untangle them.

I bought a matag washer and dryer at home depot in Batesville ar. which was delivered on a Saturday. On the very first load it made a terrible loud grinding sound. We contacted home depot that same day and they said to call if it did it again.

It wasn't used again until the following Wednesday and it made the same grinding sound but much louder. Instead of replacing the washer they said they would send a repairmen. The repairman came the following Saturday and replaced some parts on a new machine but could not fix it.

He said he will order some other new parts and come back in a week or a week and a half but he did not really know what was wrong with it. I went back to home depot in Batesville ar.

Tried to schedule warranty service with their vendor ASI Appliance and received sub par and outright rude customer service. I wrote an email to the Operations manager to complain and then he outright cancelled my service, and said that I would have to find someone else to provide the warranty work.

Maytag refused to honor the warranty stating that I had to go through a 3rd party vendor. Absolutely HORRIBLE company.

We are unable to get a hold of anyone @ Maytag to tell them about our experience with our Maytag refrigerator. We were just cleaning the bottom glass shelf with a paper towel and it just exploded. I mean just exploded.

The Maytag washer we purchased 5 months ago has always made horrible grinding noises. When we complained to the retailer they said that’s normal. Now it has stopped working completely. Less than 5 months old! This is unacceptable. We purchased Maytag because of its supposed dependability.

Good evening, My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer from home Depot March 20, 2021. Recently, the washer would not drain, so we called our technician out to diagnose the problem. Bad news as the transmission was "blown" as he put it.

To fix the practically brand new washer was about the same price as a new (cheaper) one. The quote to FIX it was $640. I've called Home Depot, however they cannot help outside of 90 days. Please explain to me how you cannot even make the claim that your machines are reliable for even two years.

Last year I bought a Maytag washer. I washed a hand made quilt in it. It tore the quilt apart in a dozen places. After washing several items, I noticed the agitator starting before washer was full. Naturally it will tear clothes or quilts apart.

Who the heck designed this. Please help. Can I return it to the after a year? I didn't know what to do, until someone mentioned to notify the company.

My washer of less than 2 years stopped working. It made a terrible noise before I shut it off. I called the service company as directed in the instruction manual they told me I had unexpended service contract and I had to call S&S appliance, which I did they said they would call me in a couple of days to set up a repair visit.

The repair visit was TWO weeks away. Two weeks passed and the repairman came out said he could not repair it because he needed parts but would be back in one. week to fix it. He did NOT show up when scheduled.

I called S&S appliance back they said they did not have the. parts, and they had NO IDEA when the parts would be available. Called Maytag headquarters they were not helpful either. I have written them two letters and called on at least three occasions…

We bought in Lowes your washer model number mvwc565fw2, ser. ca0305727. We had nothing but trouble with that thing. Especially I, Dagmar, the housewife. For one thing it isn't agitating much. We could not see anything because the lid is always locked down.

You cannot add another piece of laundry because of the locked lid. The pause button does not help either, you have wait 15 or 20 seconds before you hear anything. The warranty repairman got the agitator working better, after six months not working.

Now the machine does not work at all. We have to take the wet clothes to a laundromat. The lid switch is clicking. That machine is a piece of junk, and sucks big time! !

Bought a lemon for $849. Washer hasn't worked since first day. Sent repairman. The whole console, hmi board and main control boards do not work and need replaced on a brand new washer purchased on January 28th and installed on the 31st.

I have a washer that stopped working 7 months after purchase date. I called to make the warranty claim. I had the appliance pro ppl contact me and complain repeatedly about where I live that it was too far to come and look at my washer so he had me describe my issue over the phone and decied by our conversation what part i needed.

Said he'd order the part and see me in 2 weeks - it is going in six weeks and he hasn't called me or won't answer my phone calls. this is so pathetic. Unprofessional and please ppl don't bother with their measly warranty.

If they only have 1 year of faith in their products you shouldn't have any faith in it at all. Garbage product. Garbage service.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer at the end of Aug 2022. By Dec 5th the washer was completely broken. The necessary part has been on back order for 6 weeks. I called Maytag and spoken to the most unhelpful human on the planet.

I was prompted a call back and it was never received. The rep had the “ too bad so sad” when I asked that the washer just be replaced; It’s 3 months old and BROKEN!!! The reps response was pretty much “ sorry, but we aren’t able to help you” This is the absolute LAST MAYTAG I WILL EVER BUY!!!

Customer service- took forever for someone to answer. They were rude, didn't really care, were not sympathetic to my 2 year old washer no longer working. They were dishonest in their supervisor connection and information or lack of information. They need way better customer relations training.

Call Costco, Chick-fil-a or Neimans. You lost a customer and now you have a woman on a mission to not recommend a Maytag washer to any group she is in-why would you not handle things differently? My 6230 top loader was only used for 3 loads a week by 2 70 year old people-how much wear and tear could there be. $700+ down the drain.

I purchased my product in 2021 and in short amount of time the product began not to work properly. I have purchased an Exended warranty and to no avail it’s been since September 2022 it’s now January and still no one has fixed my product.

Two separate service technician has come to my home to order parts and fix my machine. One technician didn’t note all parts needed and second one came out and left pieces on the floor and one on the dryer and still not fixed.

I had to call AIG on serval occasions to get help. I’ve spent countless dollars on wash houses to wash my laundry. It’s a terrible inconvenience. I’ve been working to work it out with Maytag and have been bounce around for one representative to the next and no help with situation.

I am communicating on behalf of my elderly parents, who bought a new washing machine less than 2 years ago. In short, they have now had to spend an additional $384 on an already very expensive machine, for a new lid; they also purchased the largest warranty possible at time of sale, which to no avail, the lid isn't covered by the warranty. After many hours, from calling Maytag to going into Lowes and speaking with the manager of the department, we have come to learn that they aren't able to cover the damage either.

I purchased a wash machine which had a 5 yr warranty after 2 1/2 years it stopped working I requested service. I had to wait 6 FULL WEEKS because the part was not available. i urged them to give me a credit or diff machine they said that according to the conditions of the warranty they have to wait 6 weeks until they reassess to find a solution. 2 days before the 6 weeks they finally got the parts. I believe they wanted me to get tired of waiting and get myself a new machine at my cost.

low and behold its 6 months later, machine broke again, its 3 weeks already. parts are on backorder. same old joke. will I have to go through this every 6 months their customer service is bad bad bad

We bought a Maytag washing machine last year. It starts agitating before all clothes are in. I find this to be a problem. The very first thing I washed was a hand made quilt, irrelevant but took me six months to make.

Horrible experience with a May Tag washer and their warranty which is useless. I was instructed by the Lowe’s sales person to purchase a separate warranty agreement ( which I did). The sales associate told me that May tag is horrible to deal with and that there warranty company is much better.

I don’t know about contacting May tag, but I sure know about the repair company they use. They are very rude and incompetent.. it is hard to get a hold of them and if you do they give you false information as well as appointments they never keep and if you dare to complain they hang up on you.

We bought our Maytag about a year ago. Over that time, we gradually noticed our clothes were not getting clean. After, online research and watching the machine operate, we found that the agitator was not working, We tried to reach Maytag online but no help there.

We called various dealers and left messages but no one called us back. I finally got in touch with a repair man and he came out and looked at the machine and fixed the agitator saying something was not connected but was not broken.

He said it was probably shipped that way. After we paid him and he left, the clothes were still not getting clean. Looking once again at the machine operating, we discovered that the water level does not reach more than one quarter of the way full.

I have NEVER had so many problems with an appliance. I will never purchase a Maytag appliance, or any appliance owned by Whirlpool ever again. We purchased a Maytag Bravo XL from Home Depot in 2019. In 2020, the left side of the door cracked at the hinge, ultimately causing the door to not lock.

We had to duct tape the door down so that the lock would engage to allow the washer to function. It’s a top loader so there is absolutely nothing that should cause the door to crack except a design and/ or manufacturing defect. It broke during COVID.

Spent $900 on a new washer, still under factory warranty and has an extended warranty. Simply stopped working after wash, wet clothes locked inside . Called for maintenance, waited all day to find out they moved my appointment 11 days out.

We bought a Maytag Washer (Model #53MVW7232) & Dryer (Model #5304495002) on 03/31/2022 from Best Buy. I wish I knew what I do now, I NEVER would have bought the washer!!!! You get your clothes in & add detergent & softener and it tells you, you cant wash the load until the washing machine has been cleaned. This totally sucks!!

The salespeople or company don't tell you this.

Also the washing machine goes off balance constantly. It about shakes the house down. I've never had one do this before. Even with small loads. 00 for this pair of garbage cans.

Bought brand new expensive dishwasher used it less than 4 months. The control panel lifted off the machine and now it is inoperable. Supposed to have a year under warranty. After calling the company and waiting on hold for close to an hour I was told someone would call within 7 business days to schedule repair. No one ever called.

After two more extended sessions on hold I was told someone will call within 7 business days to schedule repair. I am skeptical this will happen and disgusted with this company. I would like my thousand dollars returned so I can go elsewhere to purchase a dishwasher that either will run or will have a valid warranty.

I purchase a brand new Maytag washer and dryer. The dryer sound broke within a year. I called to get it fix and the part took 4 months to get, which during pandemic I get. but it eat in to warranty period.

Repairman put in a whole new mother board, within 3-4 month it broke again, same problem. I called them and now they say it is out of warranty and suggested I buy the monthly warranty. I said it is the same problem, never fixed and they said I would have to pay for labor.

We bought a computerized washer and dryer two years ago and they weren’t cheap! Since then we have had to call service people to come out because the washer eats the clothes! They get wound up every time you carefully put the clothes in and get underneath the agitator!

The cycle on the dryer has to go double time because it does not dry and everything comes out wound together no matter how carefully you load the clothes! There is no way to talk to a human at any of the phone numbers listed on any web site!

I will never purchase their products again nor will I refer them to my family or friends!

Been waiting on repair part for our washing machine that is less than a year old and still under warranty and it's been a month without finding a part. Now they tell me It is 21 business days not calendar days that I have to wait to see if they can find the part.

After the 21 business days and they still can't find part they will escalate it and I have to wait another 10 business days. Then if they can't find the part A form has to be filled out and processed to receive replacement washer.

Bought a $900 dishwasher in Nov 2021. It died in July 2022, the motor failed. Called and it took 3 weeks to get a service repair technician out, said the motor is on backorder, could be several weeks or months.

Called again after several weeks passed, to be told they were expediting it and it would be here next week. This was 2 weeks ago. (It is now September) The part is still unavailable. I asked Maytag what they are going to do under the terms of warranty seeing as they are unable to fix it.

They said they have opened a parts inquiry and within 3 days someone will contact me. I see no end in sight. I will never buy Maytag again.

I had a replacement dishwasher delivered today. both are defective. I need a working dishwasher. I do not want the same model since I have had 2 nonworking kitchen aid models kdpm604kpsi and kdpm604kps1. D. and Maytag. I want a different WORKING dishwasher. Jerry at the H. D. store is helpful.

I bought a washer and dryer in2 years ago. I have extended warranty. The dryer was throwing codes within 9 months. I called for service and was told to unplug the dryer and plug back in. This cleared the codes and the dryer would work again.

I was told do do this whenever it trough the codes which did work for awhile. A year and half into owning this dryer it still continues. I have had to extend the warranty again and have now had this dryer serviced 4 times.

The service technician replaced more parts and it still does not work. He says he does not know what else to do it can’t be fixed. So 2 months without my dryer. Someone within your company needs to take control of the situation at this point but I’m being told that nothing can be done till head office decides on what to do.

According to your website, the contact 24-hr customer service line for Maytag appliances is: 269-923-5000. When that number is called, a recording states that there is a "special promotion" and to "press 1" if the person calling is over 50.

If "1" is pressed, it leads to a person selling some type of medical device and saying "no" to the promotion does not stop the sales pitch. One must hang up. If the 269-923-5000 number is called and "1" is not pressed, then the call is disconnected. Great Service Hissing Kitty!!

Bought a new washer in December. Had it a few weeks and had to call for service. Been having the same issue since even with multiple parts changed. Sometimes the clothes spin and sometimes they don’t. Customer service said basically they’ll just keep fixing it over and over, offered no other assistance by way of refund, etc.
