I have been trying to resolve a couple of issues with my account. No one can seem to help me and I have a really hard time understanding them. Once I get to where I can understand them they can not seem to help me so I ask to speak to a supervisor and that when I get put on hold for an indefinite amount of time.

This has happened several times. The last few times has been a hold time of 57 minutes, 45 minutes, 55 minutes and so on. Its like they do not want me to speak to a supervisor. I have been a CUSTOMER for over six years.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Every time I call, something else goes wrong with my card. I'm canceling my account specifically because the customer service is so horrible. Nothing ever gets done until I get a supervisor on the phone, and it always turns out to be such a freaking easy solution to the simplest problem, although yesterday I was told the dumbest thing ever: I couldn't use an ATM that charged an uneven dollar amount. This is so ridiculous.

I can't get over a company who let's their employees get away with this kind of stuff. I'm seriously blown away. I had suspicious activity on my account which I caught via text alert. This allowed me to block the account for future use, but when I tried to have a new card issued with a new number to protect against future activity, I was "transferred" to Card Services.

The first time I was transferred was in the evening and after 20 Minutes of no-one answering I hung-up. I tried one more time after explaining my problem and when I was transferred to Card Services a recording informed me the wait time was in excess of 30 minutes and to try another time.

The next time I called the customer service line during the weekday around 3:00 PM CST and was transferred to card services department. I hung up after waiting online 1Hour and 15 Minutes without anyone picking up. Fortunately for me during this time…

I've spent a total of almost 6 hours on hold with merrick in the last two days. I've been shuffled around from people that didn't have any clue what they were doing. I've been told several times that my problem was fixed only to get declined again and have to start the entire process over.

I have literally never experienced worse customer service in my entire life. If you're thinking of getting a merrick bank card, don't do it. Between the outrageous interest and horrible customer service, its not even close to worth the trouble.

I have called three times for a total of 4:47 mins of wait time to be hung up on 3 times. All because my card was declined over a 438$ charge when I hade 900 left on line of credit. It was was a hotel charge. It’s total BS…. When they rejected / declined the charge they could have send a text message telling me / sling me if charge was me. But no way instead they make me call in repeatedly with still no help. My days with Merrick are limited. Again 3 calls 3 different people I spoke with , none could help. They had to transfer me to the abyss only to be hung up on after ringing again.

I have been calling since 12:23 seems like a blank response twice while waiting for an associate to engage me. I been on the phone for an hour and 13 minutes to be hang up on twice shame and disappointed.

I call back for a manger and I’m transferred to a regular associate for a wait of another 30 minutes. I deal in the world of customer service and here you do and treat people as you wish how can anyone continue services if you can’t treat people right via phone.

I was told that I would have a new card mailed to me several weeks ago. I still have not received the card. When I called today they told me that they are having issues with the plastic and the card has not been mailed.

That makes ZERO sense as I can walk into my own bank and have a card made while I stand there. I have been a good standing customer and feel that is is unacceptable service.

Calling cause my card was compromised and nobody would help I was directed to fraud department and it would be a recording over and over saying we are going to get to you soon hold on . I was fine for 10 minutes but it ended up being 45 min nobody picked up so I called back they done the same thing .

I have a feeling Merrick doesn’t have a fraud department!!! I’m livid it makes no sense nobody can help really I didn’t make these charges . And it needs taken care of . The worst Custer service ever

I called before my payment was due to see if I could move my due date 2 days due to medical expenses this month. I was told I could not, but to call back after payment was made ant the late fee would be waived.

I called back after making payment and was told I had to call back after payment posted, then the late fee would be waived. Payment and late fee have now posted, I call back for the 3rd time and am now told that because I am currently $15 over the limit (due to late fee), said late fee cannot be waived.

This is the worst customer service of all creditors I have. Very unhappy

Worst run company I’ve ever dealt with. We were told they would credit a souvenir payment towards our account and didn’t. We’ve called over 12 times and are either told a manager would reach out to us, or we’re given a number to call that’s a fax number.

I am writing you because I never received my new Mastercard. It’s been seven months since I was supposed to get it. I have called customer service several times and each time they assure me it’s been sent out. Then they have to reissue a new one.

The last time I called was January 6 and still I have not received my card. There is nothing wrong with my address because I receive monthly statements from you. I am extremely concerned about this and don’t know where to turn next.

I have had a card with Merrick Bank for a long time and never had an issue when it was a Visa. Please help. I hope you can resolve this.

Horrible customer service. Can’t even understand the heavy accent of the rep. Three calls today trying to figure out why my card doesn’t work and either does my pin… First rep supposedly reset my pin, nope… Went inside bank and was declined while I’m on a business trip….

I am trying to create a CD with Merrick bank and the process is flawed. I tried talking to customer support to report the problem and they are unable or unwilling to fix the issue. The issue has to do with entering funding account information when the application is continued from the email link.

If you open the original email and click on the continue link the ACH funding information is available, but if you don't enter it and close the email and then later reopen it, the ACH information is not available. Very frustrating company to try and work with.

Was passed from person to person to person 10 times with no answers. Never was able to change my bank for auto payment as I was locked out of my account. Was taunted by a rep who I asked to stop saying my name over and over and over again and he didn’t stop.

He said my name over and over and over and over. It was disgusting. I finally got a manager and they hung up on me after saying hello with no call back. I’ve been a paying customer for 10 years and they closed my account over two payment issues due to not being able to get into my account.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK - This bank is a crook and lie to their customers 1- They promised to double my line in six months but they never did. 2- They wanted to charge me $7.50 to pay off my balance for $3.00. So I emailed them to see if I can pay with another method but received boilerplate emails., and later, I found out that they ruined & fucked up my credit score by 80 points.

I need a loan for a surgery but was turned down because I found out Merrick Bank ruined & fucked up my credit score by 80 points. Trans Union report attached.

I called their office & complain to close my account. They agreed to accept a credit card payment and waived the fee.

I paid my bill on the 3rd of this month,online, as I ALWAYS do. I just got a notice from them that I did not pay!! This is the 2nd time they have done this, the first time I just paid the fee, this time I can see it is just a way for them to overcharge me.

Now, I am unable to get in touch with them, they keep you on hols with very loud , high pitched, unpleasant music After 20 minutes I hand up. This is a re occuring situation. No one comes to the phone.

I need to prove that I made the payment and get in touch but they make it impossible. I have had this card a year and a half and always paid on time and more than the minimum.

CASE # 22063000227C On July 6, 2022 I was finally able to file a case for a fraudulent purchase dated 6/11/2022 to WALMART.COM in the amount of $290.43. This took me over 11 phone calls during a 5 day period, waiting on hold for hours and being hung up on and disconnected multiple times. I was finally able to speak to someone who cared and made sure I had a case number before I hung up and as she promised, I received the attached correspondence in the mail informing me a case was open and a provisional credit was issued.

I got a notification I should have received my new card and I have not. When I called the number provided it wouldn't let me proceed without activating the new card which I do not have. The person on the phone was so rude and dismissive ( Alex ) , I told him I just wanted to close the account.

I was then put on hold and given a different number to a specialist to close it. After an hour of bouncing between numbers and rude people, I still haven't been able to close it. Unacceptable, I will pay my 6.

Dollar balance and nothing more. I want transcripts of the recorded calls for legal action. Absolutely terrible for a customer of over 10 years.

I called to report that I had not received the new MasterCard yet. I called the number on my email that said to call if I had not received the card. My card was activated instead. I called to report it to all the numbers available to me.

I started calling at 4:04 pm. Central Standard time to 833-838-2700, that's when my card was activated. I called 800-253-2322 at 4:11 Central Standard Time and was placed on hold for more than 1 hr. I have called several numbers this evening including 877-727-6881.

I have been on hold for a combined time of more than 3 hours. All I want is a replacement card for my account that I have had for quite some time without issues. Thank you so much.

Horrific company! Switched everyone’s cards from Visa to MasterCard caused my credit score to plunge 66 points overnight because they reported it to the credit bureau as the account being removed and then didn’t tell the credit bureau until later that it was a conversion total nightmare! I hate them

Merrick sent me a text that my payment was late. Since I was already overdrawn in my checking account I decided to wait to pay them on 4/13 when I get my Social Security deposited. I knew I would be charged a late fee.

However, I notice that Merrick Bank took $35 out of my checking without my authorization! It only states "Payment". I called Merrick and they said it was a late fee. Besides charging me that $35 they also put a $35 debit on my Visa account indicating late fee.

I've been charged $100 because I was late paying my bill! NO JUSTICE!

Haven't used my card since Christmas present time. Being enrolled in auto pay, my payments should have taken care of themselves. 2 months later I have collections calling me! I called customer service back and after an hour and 20 minutes on hold, I gave up.

I called back waited another 20 minutes only to have a lady tell me they would call me back which they never did. I cannot get a straight answer or even a true balance of what I owe them.... Awful company to work with.

There's no email contact you have to call them or send a letter via snail mail to get a hold of them which is impossible seemingly.

I made a payment on 2/10/22 and I called Customer service on 2/12 to find out why my balance went down but My available credit wasn't showing up. I was told that if I uploaded a statement with the payment posted to my account and not pending they would release the available credit then instead of 6 days later!! WTH!

Anyway, I did that about 10 times. Spoke with about 8 or 10 different Reps and 2 supervisors. 1 rep told Me the hold was taken off and to check my account in 10 minutes and it should be available. No such luck!

They are crooks. Their customer service reps are largely incompetent, and supervisors aren't much better but they are also rude, condescending and dismissive. I closed an account here after I overpaid when paying my card off. I was told they tell you an amount $50+ more than what your actual balance is because they can sit on your $50, subtract fees and wait 90+ days to return you and small fraction that may be left. It is intentional? Crooks.

They didn’t send me my credit amount rather continued taking draws and fees from it? This cannot be legal.
