Hi, I was diagnosed with major medical issues after getting Long Haul Covid back in November 2022. Your company was nice enough to pay me partial payment claim of short term disability from 13NOV22 to 31JAN23. Due to cardiac issues as well as other major medical such as cirrosis of the liver and hemachromatosis I have been at doctors almost daily since November.

My doctor would not permit me to return to work under my health conditions until 26MAY23. My doctor sent mega paperwork including my spreadsheets I kept track of on all my numerous visits, she sent all my physicians and medications they asked for.

I am beneficiary on a policy of a deceased policyholder. I have tried repeatedly to obtain information. Been lied to in order for the claim dept. to cover their mistakes. To date the final settlement has been forwarded to an unknown party's bank account.

The claim dept tried to play it off as it was my account. At no time did I authorize a deposit into my bank account nor do they have my bank account routing or account number. They continue to lie to me.

I would never approve this transaction as a victim of fraud and elder abuse I give my personal information to NO ONE. I want this situation rectified immediately or I will file additional complaints and contact the PA Insurance Commission.

I filed for short term disability the cksim was approved. At 30 days it was then denied saying they needed more paperwork from doctors for the most recent visit. I tried telling them that the original papers they approved my claim for are the only ones available as I'm awaiting my next appointment.

So since the doctors couldn't get me in any sooner and provide this new paperwork yet my claim has been denied.

Crooks! Absolute crooks! They claim to have sent my reimbursement (because I had to pay cash, over $4000 because my provider does not accept insurance believe it or not) to my provider despite my written wishes to be directly reimbursed.

My provider provided proof of having never received any money from them. After dealing with their denials, runarounds, being lied to that the error had been corrected and the check sent to me (four times I was told that lie), I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A DIME!!!!

I have called MetLife Customer service multiple times per day for over a week. Each time I have to provide our personal information and when I finally reach a customer service representative and ask to be transferred to a Maturity specialist ( I have a matured policy and

need help in completing forms) I have to provide all information again to get transferred and then I do not get a warm handoff, they transfer me and the phone is cutoff immediately or they transfer me to the main customer service number again. So frustrating.

I CANNOT REACH A MATURITY SPECIALIST. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES ARE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND UNRESPONSIVE.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to convert my term coverage with Metlife to a permanent policy. I have been advised by both Metlife and my former employer that my policy is convertible.

However, Metlife keeps transferring me to Barnum Financial Advisors who do nothing but try to sell me a new policy after demanding I see a doctor and provide blood work and urine specimen. My policy is suppose to be convertible with no medical questions asked.

It even says that on the application my employer filled out.

However, Metlife provides no option to convert without a person going through the third party company whose focus it appears is sell a new policy and they make sure to make the conversion option sound as untenable as possible, even ignoring the persons requests to convert and/ or…

The customer service person I was talking to Jessica Grant, was the most snottiest, rudest person I have ever dealt with through this company it was disgusting. I can't believe the way I was talked to. Interrupting me, telling me I'm wrong and need to stop talking like that is not how you treat someone, sorry if your having a bad day but come on this is your job.

I have sent MetLife all the documents they have requested over five times. Had cancer surgery on October 5 they keep asking for information keep sending it to them and they keep making new allegations that they need more paperwork..

I feel very deeply disturbed that they continue to make excuses not to pay out on a claim. Talk to over eight representatives and they all assured me that all paperwork was in since November 11 and they continue to tell me they are still waiting on medical records.

Met Life refused to pay benefits to me after my dad died because I'm adopted. They strung me along for months after paying all my brothers and then finally said I get no benefits even though my birth certificate lists the exact same mother and father as all my brothers.

This is illegal. Furthermore, both customer "service" reps Jason and Andrew were incredibly rude as they kept insisting I was not a daughter.

On February 2022, I submitted documents to the critical illness department( Policy 5147582) March 2022 I contacted the department for an update. was told Joanna Alvardo is the representative handling the death benefits claim. My company moved in April. I have tried to change my address with MetLife so my remittances and other notifications come to the right place. I have not received a remittance form or confirmation of receipt since May. I have called repeatedly to get my address changed.

Each time I'm put on hold, transferred from rep to rep, and after an hour or so, then call is dropped. When I do manage to speak to someone I get contradictory information. I was told my account has been inactive since 2013!

I was told I had to complete a form, which they would send it to me. It never happened. When I called back I was told there are no forms, I had to send a letter on my stationary. I did that on Aug 3rd.

I am filing a complaint with MetLife due to the inconsideration and lack there of for my disability. I Have been dealing with MetLife for the past 3 months in reference to getting my disability approved. I went out of work June 24th in which my disability was approved for two weeks.

I am writing this complaint because , I applied for short term disability November 2021 and still have not received anything. The status of my short term disability and long term disability is showing active, has been active since June 1, 2021.

My claim number is 222111176792, the person that was assigned to me as my claim specialist, is Nancy Foley. She has not did anything concerning getting the claim approve. She do not return calls or follow up with what I am to do or not do.

I never received a letter stating the claim was denied and why to conduct a appeal. Which is what Nancy Foley had me to do. She do not return calls or get back to me . It is simply neglect on her part..

I have 2 policies with MetLife: Life and Home. I needed to upgrade Home Insurance policy 6043103010. I could not get a customer rep on the phone for hours at a time. I wrote few emails from MetLife web site and got no-reply.

Finally, I wrote an email from Farmers web site and received a response with ticket # 055833297. That was on 02/23/22. Email said that it would take 'couple of days' to get back to me with the resolution of my ticket.

On 03/02/22 - still nothing. So, I called this number 1-800-438-6381. After holding for 15 mins, I finally got a real person Michelle from Farmers. But she could not pull up my policy from her data base! So, she had to get some help.

I have been a member with met life disability insurance, for over 10 years and contracted COVID in 2020, which resulted in my disability )(Pulmonary Emboli ). My claim was rejected for benefits after 2 months I had to fight for an appeal to have my benefits overturned.

After having my benefits overturned, I called the company every day for two weeks and still have not received a callback nor have I received payment. If I could give this company a BIG FAT 0 I would, they are definitely not in favor of the client.

Helping my dad who was recently placed in nursing home. He wanted to surrender one policy and assign a funeral home as the beneficiary of a second policy. Requested surrender of first policy and customer service said it would take 5-7 business days.

I am on day 9 and called today and the rep said it would take two more days to process. I turned in a financial power of attorney to Met life and an assignment of the second policy to a funeral home as beneficiary.

I turned both in on January 11. Today is January 18. Customer service rep said it will take 10-15 days for those two items to be reviewed. I told rep those time frames were unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor.

This company does not care about their customers on short term disability. I have called everyday for last week to receive a call back from my disability specialist. I have left her several messages as well as her supervisor. I have not received a payment in 2 weeks.

I am a federal employee. I was insured with MetLife Dental for 3 years. I had no problems getting reimbursed for my Smile Direct Retainers until June 2021. 00 reimbursement check. Their Texas claims fax number employees kept asking for information that I kept providing again and again.

They gave me the run around on the phone and lied to me. I think they just don’t want to do business with Smile Direct. MetLife needs to honor their contract with their customers or tell everyone that they banned Smile Direct.

I have been a loyal customer for over 40 years if this is how they now treat there customers maybe it’s time to look for a new company. In June 2020 our daughter had a traffic violation in her 2014 charger. We have had continuous coverage for years with MetLife. So we asked our agent at the time, Leslie Hasty to send proof over as requested and she did.

However, the car is in her step dads name-William Byers so it may have gone in his file. So over 2 months ago the Indiana BMV suspended her license and now want $500 to reinstate. We had insurance and i in no way want to pay them $500.

I have written them several times and included the policy number to them to assist it along but to no avail. Met Life policy#129233013-0 and it covers William Byers, Deb Byers & Megan McCarty. I have asked and asked and it falls on deaf ears.

In early May I received a bill for an overdue interest payment on a policy that I do not own. I called in mid May to speak with Louise. I explained that this is not my policy. s. She would send me the loan papers. Louise did that.

I called back and spoke with Den on Jun 3rd or 4th. I reviewed the papers that I received. I explained that I have never lived in Urbana IL and that my MARRIED name is Sullivan but would not have been my name when this policy was supposedly taken out by my parents in the late 50's.

He asked me to send the papers back to him. Since Metlife sent them to me, it seemed rather redundant but I did comply with his request. On the email I listed all of the reasons why this was not my policy and a mistake had been made.

I need to speak to some who can help me with issues related to my husbands group whole life insurance that was converted. The premium was withdrawn in September 25 ( $2703.34) but none was withdrawn in October and no policy has been received in the mail. I spent 4 hours on the phone 11/4/2019 transferred to multiple departments and no one could help me. Today I have spent 3 hours on the phone with again multiple departments and no one can help. Hi. I became disabled back in Dec 2012. Fell down some stairs and hurt back. Unable to work afterward. I had disability coverage thru my last employer. They declined my claim, I then contested it and it was declined again.

However, I also had my own personal disability insurance policy thru MassMutual. I submitted my paperwork to them the same time I did with Metlife. MassMutual approved me within 30 days. I also was approved thru Soc Sec Disability in record time.

After some time passed, I sent a complaint letter to the president of MetLife. They looked at my claim again and decline it again. I contested it and they declined again. I’ve heard many horror stories from friends and family friends in the past about Metlife.

I'm a Whole Life Policy Customer for 35 years and now I find myself in a position of having to convert my Whole Life Policy over to a RPU. The reason I'm having to convert my policy to a RPU is because in 2002, acting on Metropolitan's Advice, I changed over to an Accelerated Premium Payment Arrangement. At the time the Accelerated Premium Payment Arrangement seemed like the Logical Approach to making sure the Annual Premium would get paid on time until the policy matured when I was 95.

In the last few years I've started to notice that my Policy's Accumulated Interest was being depleted because my Policy's Annual Dividend wasn't sufficient to cover the Annual Premium of $389,50 and this is after 35 years of having my policy.
